Abstract

The integration of local wisdom in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is a strategic effort to strengthen the relevance of religious learning to students' lives. PAI learning not only focuses on ritual and doctrinal aspects, but also functions as a medium for character, moral, and socio-cultural identity formation. This study aims to analyze the role of local wisdom in PAI learning, its benefits in strengthening character, and the challenges of its implementation in the context of the Independent Curriculum. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review by examining the latest academic literature from 2018–2025. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques, adopting the Miles and Huberman analysis model (Sugiyono, 2014). The results of the study indicate that the integration of local wisdom can increase the meaningfulness, contextuality, and effectiveness of PAI learning. Cultural values ​​such as mutual cooperation, courtesy, deliberation, and local religious traditions are in line with Islamic moral principles and can thus strengthen character formation. However, its implementation still faces several obstacles such as limited teacher cultural literacy, a lack of learning resources based on regional culture, and a lack of school support. This research confirms that the integration of local wisdom is highly relevant to the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes contextual and project-based learning. Therefore, the integration of local wisdom in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is a crucial approach to realizing an education that is humanistic, culturally rooted, and adaptive to changing times.

Abstract

Moderasi beragama dalam pendidikan Islam muncul sebagai strategi mendukung Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya SDG 4 (pendidikan berkualitas), SDG 10 (pengurangan ketimpangan), dan SDG 16 (perdamaian dan keadilan). Di tengah tantangan global ekstremisme dan konflik sosial, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana empat pilar moderasi—toleransi, nasionalisme, anti-kekerasan, dan akomodasi budaya—diintegrasikan ke kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) untuk memajukan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Menggunakan metode library research kualitatif, data dikumpul secara sistematis dari jurnal terkini (2021-2026), kebijakan Kemenag, dan laporan PBB, dianalisis dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil menunjukkan kurikulum PAI moderat efektif membentuk karakter inklusif siswa, mengurangi intoleransi di sekolah, serta selaras dengan target keberlanjutan global. Strategi implementasi seperti pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan modul digital memposisikan pendidikan Islam Indonesia sebagai model harmoni global. Saran mencakup kebijakan nasional wajib dan kolaborasi internasional.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teacher role models in the internalization of Quranic values ​​in a modern boarding school education system. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted at Muhammadiyah Boarding School MBS Rappang Junior High School. The subjects consisted of students, ustadz/ustadzah (teacher), and dormitory administrators, selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques with triangulation to ensure data validity. The results indicate that teacher role models play a significant role in the internalization of Quranic values, particularly through direct practice observed by students in their daily lives. The boarding school environment, which integrates academic activities and character development, strengthens the effectiveness of role models through continuous habituation. However, internalization of values ​​is not yet fully consistent, influenced by factors such as the influence of digital media, differences in student backgrounds, and limited personal interaction. In conclusion, teacher role models are a key strategy in developing Qur'anic-based character in students, which requires support from a conducive institutional environment that adapts to the challenges of the digital era. This research contributes to the development of role model-based learning models in modern Islamic education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penanaman nilai karakter Islami pada anak usia dini yang masih menghadapi kendala dalam pembelajaran yang cenderung kurang menarik dan belum menyentuh aspek afektif secara optimal. Metode storytelling dipandang sebagai alternatif yang mampu menyampaikan nilai-nilai moral secara kontekstual, menyenangkan, dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas metode storytelling dalam penanaman nilai karakter Islami pada anak usia dini dalam perspektif kurikulum pendidikan Islam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di PAUD Kasih Anggun Pasar Bilah, dengan subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, orang tua, dan anak usia dini. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta diuji keabsahannya melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode storytelling efektif dalam menanamkan nilai karakter Islami seperti kejujuran, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan empati, yang terlihat dari perubahan perilaku anak baik di sekolah maupun di rumah. Selain itu, storytelling meningkatkan keterlibatan, antusiasme, dan pemahaman anak terhadap nilai-nilai moral melalui pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan. Keberhasilan metode ini didukung oleh kreativitas guru, kebijakan lembaga, dan peran orang tua, meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu dan media pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, storytelling merupakan strategi yang relevan dan efektif dalam pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum pendidikan Islam untuk membentuk karakter anak usia dini secara holistik.

Abstract

The increasingly complex global environmental crisis indicates that ecological problems are not merely technical in nature but are rooted in the way humans perceive nature. Ironically, environmental degradation is also prevalent in regions with predominantly Muslim populations, despite the Qur’an containing strong ecological ethical values. This condition suggests a failure in the internalization of religious values within the education system, particularly in Islamic Religious Education. This study aims to analyze Seyyed Hossein Nasr’s ecotheological thought and examine its relevance as a conceptual foundation in Islamic Religious Education, especially in fostering students’ ecological and spiritual awareness. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing Nasr’s works and contemporary literature on ecotheology and Islamic education. The findings reveal that Nasr’s critique of modernity—which views nature merely as an object of exploitation—holds strong relevance for the development of Islamic Religious Education oriented toward the internalization of tawhid, amanah (trust), and adab (ethical conduct) toward nature. Nasr’s ecotheology can serve as a pedagogical foundation to shift Islamic Religious Education from a cognitive-normative approach toward the sustainable formation of students’ ecotheological character. Therefore, this study emphasizes that Islamic Religious Education has a strategic role in responding to environmental crises through strengthening the spiritual and ethical dimensions of human-nature relationships

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of gender-based transformational leadership of the madrasah principal at MAN Insan Cendekia OKI, examine the perceptions of male and female teachers, and identify the challenges and its impact on teacher performance and the school work climate. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that the principal’s leadership is implemented in a participatory, collaborative, and inclusive manner by providing equal opportunities for teachers without gender bias. Teachers’ perceptions are generally positive, although differences emerge between relational and structural emphases. The challenges include gender stereotypes, adaptation to participatory leadership patterns, and differing understandings of gender equality. The implementation of this leadership approach contributes to improved teacher motivation and performance, as well as the creation of an inclusive and conducive work climate. This study contributes to the development of Islamic educational management by offering a contextual and applicable perspective on gender-based transformational leadership.

Abstract

Perkembangan globalisasi dan digitalisasi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dinamika keberagamaan masyarakat kontemporer. Arus informasi yang cepat dan interaksi lintas budaya menciptakan ruang baru bagi ekspresi identitas keagamaan, sekaligus memunculkan kerentanan terhadap radikalisme sebagai respons atas krisis identitas. Dalam konteks ini, moderasi beragama dan multikulturalisme menjadi strategi penting untuk menjaga keseimbangan pemahaman keagamaan di tengah masyarakat plural. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis keterkaitan antara radikalisme, moderasi, dan multikulturalisme dalam perspektif sosiologi Barat dan Islam serta implikasinya terhadap pengembangan Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi kepustakaan, dengan analisis konten terhadap literatur akademik yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa radikalisme tidak hanya merupakan persoalan ideologis, tetapi juga fenomena sosial yang dipengaruhi krisis identitas dan disrupsi digital. Moderasi beragama, melalui konsep wasathiyah, berfungsi sebagai prinsip keseimbangan dalam beragama, sedangkan multikulturalisme menekankan pengakuan identitas dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman sebagai ketetapan Ilahi. Integrasi perspektif sosiologi Barat yang menyoroti aspek struktural dengan sosiologi Islam yang menekankan dimensi normatif teologis menghasilkan pemahaman komprehensif. Pembahasan menegaskan bahwa PAI perlu dikembangkan secara reflektif dan kontekstual berbasis literasi digital, sehingga mampu membentuk peserta didik yang kritis, moderat, dan toleran dalam menghadapi tantangan keberagamaan di era postmodern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh maraknya permainan game online di kalangan anak-anak, remaja, dan dewasa. Game yang tengah populer di kalangan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Empang adalah game online free fire. Fokus yang di kaji dalam penelitian ini adalah game online free fire pada minat belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Empang. Adapun jenis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis yang di gunakan adalah triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa game online free fire dampak dari bermain game online bagi siswa ada dua, yakni dampak positif dan dampak negatif, dampak negatif yang di alami oleh siswa yaitu siswa malas belajar, mengantuk di kelas, tidak fokus, berkurangnya konsentrasi. Sedangkan dampak positif dari bermain game free fire ada diantaranya yaitu, meningkatkan fokus siswa, meningkat penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, mendapatkan teman dari berbagai daerah. sedangkan intensitas penggunaan game online free fire pada siswa kelas VII adalah seimbang di karenakan banyak siswa yang bisa membagi waktu mereka kapan mereka bermain game online free fire dan kapan waktu mereka untuk belajar.

Abstract

This study examines the transformative education model in the reconstruction of Islamic education learning in the digital era. The main issue in this study is the continued dominance of conventional teaching methods, which are less cap able of adapting to the development of digital technology and changes in student characteristics. This situation necessitates a renewal of learning approaches so that Islamic education remains relevant to the needs of the digital generation. This study aims to analyze the concept of transformative education and to explain the urgency of reconstructing Islamic education learning in the digital era. The method used is library research with a qualitative approach through the analysis of various books and relevant scholarly journal articles.The results of the study indicate that the transformative education model emphasizes critical reflection, active student participation, and changes in perspectives in understanding social and religious realities. The reconstruction of Islamic education learning also needs to be carried out through the utilization of digital technology, the development of dialogue and critical discussion methods, and the integration of interactive learning media to make the learning process more contextual and engaging. Furthermore, transformative education encourages students to develop critical thinking skills, digital literacy, and awareness of Islamic values in dealing with various information in the digital era. Thus, the implementation of the transformative education model can serve as a relevant approach in building Islamic education learning that is adaptive, participatory, and contextual. Abstract

The explosive growth of Islamic preaching content on Indonesian social media since 2015 has produced two strikingly different models of religious authority that share platform space but diverge in nearly every other respect. This article presents a comparative netnographic study of twenty Indonesian da'wah actors H ten traditional ulama grounded in pesantren scholarship and chains of transmission (Typology A) and ten hijrah influencers who built their authority primarily through digital charisma, lifestyle aesthetics, and commercial partnerships (Typology B) observed across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok over twelve months (July 2024–June 2025). Drawing on 4,200 posts, engagement metrics for 2,400 content units, and semistructured interviews with eight participants, we identify three findings. First, divergent production logics: Typology A produces longform, minimally edited scholarly lectures oriented toward ta'lim (instruction), while Typology B produces shortform, dramatically edited entertainmentoriented content calibrated for algorithmic amplification. Second, a commodification continuum: Typology A maintains relative resistance to commercial partnerships, while Typology B intensively monetizes religious content through brand endorsements, merchandise, and paid events, framing commodification as a form of halal economic sustainability. Third, asymmetric algorithmic legitimacy: platform algorithms consistently reward Typology B with greater reach, yet commentsection dynamics reveal persistent counterlegitimation from audiences who invoke traditional scholarly credentials to challenge influencer authority. We propose the concept of commodified piety to describe a mode of religious performance in which spiritual, economic, and algorithmic value become structurally entangled, and argue that the political economy of platforms not merely individual ambition drives this entanglement.
