Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the sholat dhuha program at SMAN 79 Jakarta and its contribution to students’ religious character. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving participating students and the Islamic Education teacher. The findings show that the program is conducted in a structured and scheduled manner with teacher supervision and adequate facilities, although challenges such as lack of concentration and inconsistent participation remain. Students perceive the program as beneficial in building discipline in worship, strengthening spirituality, and improving social interaction. Teachers view it as effective in fostering obedience, tolerance, and positive religious behavior. Overall, the sholat dhuha program plays an important role in developing students’ religious character, though further improvement is still needed.

Abstract

Bullying in the educational environment is a serious violation of children’s rights to security and protection from violence. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and compatibility of the “Tafakur Day” disciplinary mechanism at SMP Al-Amanah Cileunyi with Human Rights principles, as well as to measure the impact of advocacy interventions in increasing students’ legal awareness. This study employs socio-legal research with a qualitative approach and social intervention involving 52 grade 9 students as role models. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and gamification-based post-tests. The results indicate that Tafakur Day has an educative-religious dimension through Quranic memorization methods (stages 1-3), but the social sanction stages involving public disclosure (stages 4-6) potentially violate children’s rights to privacy and dignity. Furthermore, the advocacy intervention successfully deconstructed students’ understanding of the boundaries between “jokes” and bullying. Based on the post-test evaluation, 70% of students demonstrated a good understanding of bullying parameters. This study recommends integrating the compiled bullying handling module into school policies and evaluating the public disclosure method in Tafakur Day to be more oriented towards restorative justice.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic studies face complex social, cultural, and intellectual challenges that require more comprehensive and adaptive scholarly approaches. This study aims to analyze the concept of integrating science and religion and to examine the relevance of a multidisciplinary approach in strengthening the paradigm of Islamic scholarship. Employing a qualitative method with a library research design, the study is analyzed through a phenomenological perspective to explore the intellectual experiences of Muslim thinkers in understanding the relationship between revelation, reason, and empirical reality. The findings indicate that the integration of science and religion constitutes an epistemological characteristic deeply embedded in the Islamic intellectual tradition, while the multidisciplinary approach provides a richer analytical framework for interpreting contemporary religious phenomena. This approach expands the scope of inquiry through the engagement of social sciences, humanities, and modern sciences, thereby enabling a more contextual and relevant understanding of religion. The implications of this study highlight the importance of strengthening an interconnective paradigm in curriculum development, research methodology, and Islamic studies. Overall, the study concludes that a multidisciplinary approach represents an epistemological necessity for the development of comprehensive and responsive contemporary Islamic studies.

Abstract

This research discusses deep learning strategies in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to develop high school students critical thinking skills regarding religious information. The main issues addressed include challenges in PAI teaching that focus excessively on memorization and insufficient stimulation of critical thinking, as well as the need for methods that support deep understanding. This study aims to analyze effective deep learning strategies to enhance students critical thinking skills within the PAI context. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach by examining academic literature and previous studies related to deep learning strategies and critical thinking in PAI. Results indicate that inquiry-based learning, collaborative discussion, reflective learning, and project-based learning improve students abilities to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize religious information while fostering balanced attitudes toward religious perspectives. The findings recommend integrating deep learning approaches into the PAI curriculum to promote more meaningful, reflective, and context-based learning.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of risk management at PT Bank Shinhan Indonesia for the 2023–2024 period. The research focuses on credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, compliance risk, legal risk, reputation risk, and strategic risk. Data were obtained from audited financial statements and regulations issued by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia. The results show that, although credit risk and operational risk increased in 2024, the bank remained within the safe limits set by regulators. Risk mitigation was strengthened through higher loan loss provisions and improved internal controls. The bank’s financial performance, compliance, and reputation remained stable, with an average quantitative risk indicator of 87.75. This study provides a comprehensive overview of risk management implementation in a national private bank, relevant to operational sustainability and stability.

Abstract

This study addresses the dichotomy between rational, spiritual, and scientific dimensions in contemporary education by examining the integration of intellect (‘aql), faith (iman), and knowledge (‘ilm) in QS. Ali Imran verses 190–191. The research aims to reveal the educational values embedded in these verses and their relevance to Islamic education. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with library research, data were collected from the Qur’anic text as primary data and supported by classical and contemporary tafsir and scholarly literature. The findings show that tafakkur functions as an epistemological process to acquire knowledge through reflection on natural phenomena, while dhikr directs intellectual activity toward strengthening faith and divine consciousness. Knowledge, therefore, is not value-neutral but integrated with spiritual awareness. This study concludes that QS. Ali Imran 190–191 provides a normative framework for holistic Islamic education, promoting balanced intellectual, spiritual, and moral development, and offering an integrative paradigm for educational theory and practice in the modern era.

Abstract

This study examines Islamic work ethic as a form of amal saleh, reflecting obedience, responsibility, and professionalism of Muslims. Using library research and qualitative analysis, the study reviews books, journals, and scholarly articles. Findings indicate that Islamic work ethic emphasizes honesty, discipline, trustworthiness (amanah), professionalism (itqan), sincerity (ikhlas), independence, and diligence. Its application in education, family, and workplace settings enhances productivity, integrity, social responsibility, and shapes quality character beneficial to society. The study provides guidance for educators, parents, and professionals to cultivate an effective Islamic work ethic that is both productive and considered an act of worship.

Abstract

Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwaPesantren merupakan institusi pendidikan Islam yang telah menjadi pilar penting dalam pembentukan struktur sosial dan moral masyarakat Indonesia sejak berabad-abad lalu. Keberadaannya tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pusat transmisi ilmu keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai ruang internalisasi nilai, pembentukan etos hidup, serta pembangun jaringan sosial keumatan. Namun, di tengah gelombang modernitas yang ditandai oleh percepatan arus globalisasi, penetrasi teknologi digital, dan perubahan orientasi kultural, pesantren dihadapkan pada tantangan besar untuk mempertahankan identitas tradisional sekaligus merespons tuntutan zaman secara adaptif. Tulisan ini bertujuan menganalisis dinamika tersebut melalui perspektif sosiologi pendidikan dan pemikiran Nurcholish Madjid. Modernitas dalam kerangka berpikir Nurcholish Madjid tidak dipahami sebagai ancaman terhadap keberagamaan, melainkan sebagai momentum historis untuk melakukan pembaruan nalar keislaman agar lebih rasional, terbuka, dan selaras dengan prinsip-prinsip universal Islam. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi kepustakaan, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa pesantren memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi aktor transformasi sosial apabila mampu mengintegrasikan tradisi intelektual klasik dengan tuntutan rasionalitas dan keterbukaan modern secara seimbang.

Abstract

In this study, the problem found was the low short story writing skills of students in grade XI of SMA Triguna Utama. The low ability to write short stories can be caused by internal and external factors. In internal factors, the lack of imagination possessed by students can hinder story writing. Then for external factors, learning media as a tool to project learning materials can affect the stability of student learning. Therefore, this study applies the carrd.co website media as a tool to improve students' short story writing skills. Not only helping with the material, this media also introduces the history of Betawi culture to students. The research method used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design. Based on the results of the research that has been tested, the application of the carrd.co website media in the experimental class and the control class has quite significant differences. Thus, the carrd.co website media is effective for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

The difficulty in reading the Qur'an among students at SMPN 5 Tuban is a serious challenge that impacts both the academic aspects of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and the development of students' religious character. This problem stems from low student motivation and enthusiasm for learning, combined with minimal support and guidance from parents. This study aims to identify the main factors causing difficulties in reading the Qur'an and to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Cooperative Reading Circles (CRC) Learning Model as a strategy to overcome this issue. This field research uses a descriptive qualitative approach , with the research subjects being students of class 9F and the PAI teacher at SMPN 5 Tuban. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that CRC implementation proved effective by creating a collaborative learning environment and leveraging the role of peer tutors (Mumtaz students) for direct correction of makharijul huruf and tajwid accuracy. Students with the greatest difficulty (Kaffah) received intensive, direct guidance from the teacher using the An-Nahdiyah Method. This strategy significantly increased students' accuracy, fluency, motivation, and confidence. In conclusion, CRC, combined with the An-Nahdiyah Method, is a systematic solution to improve basic Qur'an Tahsin skills while fostering students' learning spirit and social responsibility.     Keywords: Cooperative Reading Circles, Difficulty in Reading, Strategy
