Abstract

This article discusses the meaning, process, and wisdom of Nuzulul Qur'an as a fundamental event in Islamic history with a focus on the relevance of Qur'anic gradualism to contemporary da'wah. The Qur'an, as divine revelation, was not revealed at once but gradually through the Angel Jibril to the Prophet Muhammad saw. over a period of 23 years. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, analyzing both classical literature (Ulumul Qur'an) and contemporary studies. The findings show that the gradual revelation of the Qur'an carries profound wisdom: strengthening the Prophet's heart in facing challenges, providing responses to the disbelievers, facilitating memorization and comprehension, and affirming the principle of tadarruj (gradualism) in legal establishment. This research highlights that Nuzulul Qur'an is not only a spiritual event but also a divine strategy in education and da'wah that remains relevant today. The principle of Qur'anic gradualism can be integrated into modern da'wah methodologies as an effective pedagogical approach

Abstract

This study examines the epistemology of Qur’anic education by analyzing the sources, methods, and objectives of education as articulated in the Qur’an. The research addresses the epistemological problem of fragmentation between revelation-based knowledge and rational-empirical approaches in contemporary Islamic education. The aim of this study is to formulate a comprehensive epistemological framework of Qur’anic education that integrates revelation, reason, and empirical reality. This research employs a qualitative library-based method, using content analysis of Qur’anic verses related to education, supported by classical and contemporary Islamic educational literature. The findings indicate that Qur’anic epistemology positions revelation as the primary source of knowledge, supported by reason and empirical observation as complementary instruments. Educational methods emphasized include reflection (tadabbur), intellectual inquiry (tafakkur), and exemplary practice (uswah). The study concludes that Qur’anic education aims to form individuals who are spiritually grounded, morally upright, intellectually competent, and socially responsible. This epistemological model offers a holistic foundation for reforming contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa dampak ganda dalam kehidupan remaja, termasuk munculnya fenomena cyberbullying dan isolasi sosial yang berpotensi mengganggu kesehatan mental dan perkembangan psikososial siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran guru bimbingan dan konseling (BK) dalam perspektif psikologis untuk mencegah dan menangani kedua masalah tersebut di lingkungan sekolah. Hasil penelitian, Pertama, cyberbullying yang dialami Aliny berdampak langsung terhadap kondisi psikologis dan sosialnya, antara lain rendah diri, kecemasan, ketakutan berinteraksi, dan penurunan motivasi belajar. Bentuk perundungan digital yang dilakukan melalui WhatsApp dan interaksi verbal menunjukkan rendahnya literasi digital siswa. Kedua, Guru BK berperan penting dalam asesmen dan penanganan kasus cyberbullying, melalui konseling individu, mediasi dengan pelaku, pembinaan kelas, hingga kolaborasi dengan orang tua. Ketiga, Strategi Guru BK dalam mengatasi isolasi sosial terbukti efektif, seperti bimbingan kelompok, penguatan motivasi belajar, pendekatan teman sebaya, dan monitoring berkala. Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di era modern menghadapi tantangan relevansi dalam menanamkan nilai keislaman di tengah globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis upaya rebranding PAI melalui gagasan double movement Fazlur Rahman serta relevansinya dengan paradigma deep learning. Pendekatan double movement menekankan dua gerak hermeneutik, yaitu memahami ayat Al-Qur’an berdasarkan konteks historis turunnya wahyu dan merelevansikannya dengan konteks kehidupan kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dan analisis reflektif terhadap karya Fazlur Rahman serta literatur pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa rebranding PAI melalui pendekatan ini mampu menjembatani kesenjangan antara teks dan konteks, serta mendorong pembelajaran yang kritis dan bermakna. Integrasi deep learning memperkuat internalisasi nilai Islam secara kontekstual, sehingga PAI dapat berperan sebagai pendidikan yang adaptif, reflektif, dan transformatif.

Abstract

Youth interaction patterns in Jakarta have changed significantly with the development of technology and social media, presenting ethical challenges in communication. This study aims to explore how the thoughts of Nusantara scholars, with a moderate and contextual approach, can guide youth interaction ethics in the digital era. A descriptive qualitative method was used, involving in-depth interviews and literature studies. The findings show that values such as prudence in speech, self-control, and the ethics of the Prophet Muhammad are relevant in addressing issues like FOMO and communication style shifts. The study concludes that the teachings of Nusantara scholars can serve as an adaptive moral guide. It is recommended to integrate these values into digital education for youth.

Abstract

Correlational and causal research are two fundamental approaches widely used in social and educational research to understand relationships among variables. Correlational research focuses on identifying the strength and direction of relationships between two or more variables without manipulating them, whereas causal research aims to determine whether changes in one variable directly cause changes in another. This paper discusses the definition, basic processes, types, and designs of correlational research, as well as data analysis and interpretation in relation to causality. Using a literature-based approach, the study examines key concepts of correlational research, including simple, partial, and multiple correlations, along with common research designs such as cross-sectional, longitudinal, and predictive studies. The discussion highlights the importance of appropriate statistical techniques, careful interpretation of results, and awareness of confounding variables. The findings emphasize that correlation does not necessarily imply causation and that stronger research designs are required to establish causal relationships. This study provides a conceptual foundation for researchers in designing valid, reliable, and methodologically sound studies in social and educational contexts.

Abstract

This study explores the role of digital media as an instructional instrument in Islamic education through the lens of cultural communication. The research addresses the global transformation of Islamic pedagogy in the digital era, where online platforms, social media, and virtual learning spaces increasingly shape religious learning experiences. The objective is to analyze how digital media function not only as tools for transmitting religious knowledge but also as spaces of intercultural negotiation within Muslim societies worldwide. Employing a qualitative, interpretive approach with multi-case study design, this research examines digital Islamic learning platforms in Indonesia, Egypt, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia through content analysis, interviews, and participatory observation. The findings reveal that digital media foster new forms of transnational Islamic identity, promote interactive and participatory religious engagement, and create hybrid learning models that blend traditional and contemporary pedagogical approaches. However, challenges related to religious authority, content authenticity, and cultural adaptation require careful attention. The study concludes that integrating digital media into Islamic education requires a communication model rooted in cultural sensitivity and dialogic pedagogy, ensuring technology serves as an enabler of spiritual growth, critical thinking, and ethical reflection while respecting diverse interpretations across Muslim communities.

Abstract

Extremism and intolerance are serious challenges in religious life in the modern era, especially in Indonesia which is home to many different religions and beliefs that often clash with one another. This study aims to analyze how the perspective of an Islamic religious figure named Sheikh Nawawi raises the values ​​of wasathiyah (moderation) in order to create peace and face the challenges of extremism and intolerance. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach that focuses on tracing primary and secondary sources regarding the thoughts of Sheikh Nawawi al-Bantani. The results of the analysis show that Sheikh Nawawi poured many moderate thoughts into his written works such as in the interpretation of Marah Labid, Nihayatuz Zain and Maraqil 'Ubudiyah. The results of this study are expected to be useful data for subsequent researchers in solving the problem of extremism and intolerance, especially through the views of Sheikh Nawawi al-Bantani.

Abstract

This article examines the shifting understanding of rationality in Western philosophy from Ancient Greece to postmodern thought and explores its implications for the contemporary conception of human subjectivity. Rationality, which was initially understood as a cosmic order and an ethical orientation, gradually evolved into a foundation for the autonomy of the subject and the legitimation of knowledge in modern philosophy. However, the increasing dominance of instrumental reason within modernity generated new tensions, particularly in relation to the loss of meaning and the weakening of the subject’s position as a coherent center of consciousness. Through a historical and critical reflection on key philosophical traditions and thinkers, this article argues that postmodern critiques of rationality do not simply reject reason itself, but rather expose its limitations in accounting for the complexity of human experience. The crisis of subjectivity in contemporary thought can therefore be understood as the outcome of the long historical transformation of rationality. This study offers a conceptual mapping that opens space for a more reflective and dialogical understanding of rationality in addressing present-day philosophical challenges.

Abstract

Perkembangan Artificial Intelligence (AI) membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Integrasi AI menawarkan peluang untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran melalui akses informasi yang cepat, pembelajaran adaptif, serta peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Namun demikian, pemanfaatan AI juga menghadirkan tantangan, khususnya terkait risiko pembelajaran instan, berkurangnya refleksi kritis, dan melemahnya internalisasi nilai-nilai spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dualisme peran AI sebagai peluang sekaligus ancaman dalam mendorong pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) pada bidang studi PAI. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-analitis melalui penelaahan berbagai sumber ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa AI dapat memperkuat aspek kognitif, afektif, dan motivasi belajar apabila digunakan secara terarah dan dibimbing oleh guru. Namun, tanpa pengawasan pedagogis dan etika yang memadai, AI berpotensi menghambat pembelajaran mendalam dan pembentukan karakter religius. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan AI dalam PAI perlu dikelola secara kritis, reflektif, dan berorientasi pada internalisasi nilai
