Abstract

The work environment is all conditions or situations in the workplace that affect employees in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. Work discipline is the attitude and behavior of employees that shows compliance with the rules, policies, and procedures that have been set by the company or organization. This study aims to determine the extent to which the work environment and work discipline influence employee performance. This study uses a quantitative method, the sampling technique is to use the saturated method, where this study has 50 respondents, the data collection technique is carried out by observation and questionnaires. The results of the calculation of the t test where the sig value has a partial effect on X1 on Y is 0.000 <0.05 and the calculated t value is 4.597> t table 1.679. So that the work environment has a significant effect on employee performance, then the calculation of the t test where the sig value has a partial effect on X2 on Y, The calculation results on the t sig test are 0.009 <0.05 and the calculated t value is 2.740> t table 1.679. where the sig value has a partial effect on X2 on Y, then the calculation of the f sig test is 0.000 <0.05 and the calculated t value is 39.04> t table 3.20 So, which means H3 is accepted, it can be concluded that the work environment X1 and work discipline X2 simultaneously or together have a significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of kaizen principles, efficiency, and work discipline on employee performance. The research method used is a quantitative approach with regression analysis techniques to measure the relationship between these variables. The results of the study indicate that the principles of kaizen, efficiency, and work discipline have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The application of these three variables consistently can increase productivity, efficiency, and work quality, while creating an innovative and adaptive work culture. Thus, the implementation of the principles of kaizen, efficiency, and work discipline can be an effective strategy in improving employee performance and supporting the company's competitiveness in the era of globalization.

Abstract

In the world of education, students' English language skills cannot be separated from the learning process provided by lecturers. Lecturers as facilitators try to provide the best teaching and learning process for their students. English is a course that develops communication skills both orally and in writing, understanding and expressing information. This course is no longer just a course that is limited to grammar, but can also develop students' skills in communicating English orally and in writing. For this reason, a creative approach is needed that can make students more active and interesting in learning English. One of the approaches provided by lecturers is learning English by utilizing audio-visual media, namely using videos, films, and music. In teaching English material, the use of this learning media is one of the right learning media to use. The purpose of this journal is to provide strategies in utilizing audio-visual media to improve students' English learning outcomes. Technically, the strategy for utilizing audio-visual media in the process of teaching and learning English is divided into three stages, namely preparation, use and the last is follow-up after use. This media utilization strategy will make English learning more effective, interactive and interesting. Lecturers will be more optimal in delivering materials and students will find it easier to understand.

Abstract

This study discusses how Career Development influences Job Satisfaction at Aston Batam Hotel and Residence, where this study is motivated by employee complaints obtained from observation results questionnaires and data obtained from the research location. The purpose of this study is determine how much influence Career Development has on Job Satisfaction at Aston Batam Hotel and Reseidence. The type research used is quantitative descriptive with a sampling technique using total sampling applied to 102 respondents at Aston Batam Hotel and Residence. The data Collection technique used questionnaire with skala likert which has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis technique consist of data description, analysis requirements test with normality test, homogeneity test, and linearity test, and hypothesis test with simple linear regression test using SPSS version 26.00. The results of this study are Career Development is included in the good category with a respondent achievement level of 80.67%, and Job Satisfaction with a respondent achievement level of 82.19%, included in the good category. The results of the determination coefficient or R Square of 0.395 were obtained, which means that there is an influence of career development on job satisfaction of 39.5% and 60.5% is influenced by other factors not explained in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the English Club extracurricular program at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Kupang using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The CIPP model was chosen because it provides a comprehensive overview of the various components of the program. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Based on the evaluation results, in terms of context, the program was implemented in response to students' needs to improve their English language skills, supported by school policies and the Education Office. Regarding input, the program is supported by the school principal, program supervisors, and teachers, and is funded through the BOS Fund, although limitations in learning facilities and infrastructure still exist. In the process aspect, the activities are held regularly twice a month after school hours, involving 150 selected students from grades 7 to 9. Internal evaluations are periodically conducted by the school. As for the product aspect, the program has shown a positive impact, as evidenced by improvements in students’ English proficiency, increased self-confidence, and achievements in various English competitions. Overall, the English Club program at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Kupang is considered successful in achieving its goals and is recommended to be continuously developed and sustained.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of motivation and work environment on employee performance at the Plantation Office of Fakfak Regency. A quantitative structural approach was used with a sample of 50 employees selected purposively. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics via SmartPLS 3.8. The results showed that work motivation (80.55%), work environment (86.8%), and employee performance (79.91%) were all rated as good. Partial tests revealed that motivation significantly influenced performance (t = 2.341; p = 0.024), as did the work environment (t = 3.694; p = 0.001). Simultaneous testing using ANOVA produced an F value of 39.120 with a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant combined effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.700, suggesting that 70% of the variance in employee performance is explained by motivation and work environment, while the remaining 30% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. It is recommended that the Plantation Office of Fakfak Regency improve motivation and work conditions to further enhance employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the relationship between affiliate marketing and celebrity endorse on purchasing decisions at TikTok Shop among Generation Z in Boyolali. This research is motivated by the increasing use of TikTok as a popular online shopping medium among Gen Z, as well as the development of digital marketing strategies through affiliates and public figures. The population in this study includes Gen Z in Boyolali who have made purchases at TikTok Shop. A sample of 100 respondents was obtained through the Slovin formula calculation. This study uses a quantitative method, with an online questionnaire distributed through Google Forms. Data analysis was conducted using the SmartPLS 3.0 application to test the relationship between variables. The results of this study indicate a positive and significant relationship between affiliate marketing and celebrity endorse on purchasing decisions. This finding provides a theoretical contribution to strengthening the Theory of Planned Behavior in the context of digital marketing, as well as suggesting strategies for business actors in developing more effective promotions at TikTok Shop.

Abstract

Quality education services are closely linked to the effectiveness of financial and asset governance within local government institutions. This study aims to explore in depth the strategic role of the Finance and Assets Subdivision in enhancing the effectiveness of education services under the Central Kalimantan Provincial Education Office. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis was carried out following the Miles and Huberman model, which involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the Finance Subdivision plays a critical role in needs-based budget planning, ensuring that financial allocations align with educational priorities and policies. It manages key funding sources such as School Operational Assistance (BOS) and Special Allocation Funds (DAK) with a focus on transparency, accountability, and timely reporting. Meanwhile, the Asset Subdivision contributes through systematic recording, equitable distribution, and optimal utilization of regional property. These responsibilities are supported by regular training programs and consistent monitoring to ensure that facilities remain functional and beneficial for educational purposes. The implementation of integrated digital management systems, such as SIMDA, SIKD, and SIPKD, has significantly improved data accuracy, accessibility, and overall management efficiency. These systems allow for more transparent governance and facilitate informed decision-making at the institutional level. The study concludes that the active and coordinated role of the Finance and Assets Subdivision forms a strong foundation for professional, efficient, and sustainable education governance. The findings suggest that strengthening human resource capacity, enhancing interdepartmental coordination, and further integrating digital information systems are essential strategies to improve the quality and equity of education services in the region. Such improvements will contribute to achieving better educational outcomes and fostering public trust in government-managed education services.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Work Life Balance (WLB) and Job Satisfaction (JS) on employee performance at PT PLN ULP Banjarbaru, both jointly and individually, while also identifying the most dominant factor influencing performance. The research background is based on theoretical frameworks, expert opinions, and the researcher’s direct observations of workplace conditions. To achieve the research objectives, hypotheses were formulated and tested using empirical data. The study employed a quantitative approach with a saturated sampling technique, involving the entire employee population. A total of 37 respondents participated as the research sample. The collected data underwent validity and reliability testing to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the measurement instruments. Furthermore, classical assumption tests were performed to meet the requirements of multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis demonstrate that both Work Life Balance and Job Satisfaction have a significant effect on employee performance, both simultaneously and partially. Among the two independent variables, Work Life Balance was identified as the most dominant factor influencing performance, indicating that employees who maintain a better balance between their personal and professional lives tend to perform better in their work. The adjusted R² value of 0.862 signifies that 86.2% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the two independent variables studied, while the remaining 13.8% is influenced by other variables not included in this research model, such as leadership style, work motivation, or organizational culture. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and ensuring job satisfaction to optimize employee performance. The study suggests that organizations should implement policies and practices that promote flexibility, support employee well-being, and foster a positive work environment to enhance both individual and organizational outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of motivation in the relationship between digital servant leadership and collaborative coworker relationships on employee engagement among Generation Z employees at CV. Anugrah Garment Wonogiri. The focus of this study was directed at Gen Z employees working in the sewing department, with a sample of 79 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. This study used a quantitative approach with primary data obtained through the distribution of closed questionnaires. The variables used in this study include digital servant leadership as the first independent variable, collaborative coworker relationships as the second independent variable, motivation as the mediating variable, and employee engagement as the dependent variable. The data analysis technique was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS software version 4.0, which allows for the analysis of causal relationships between variables as well as simultaneous mediation tests. The results showed that digital servant leadership has a positive and significant correlation with employee engagement. Similarly, collaborative coworker relationships were shown to have a positive and significant correlation with employee engagement. In addition, motivation also has a positive and significant impact on employee engagement. Furthermore, digital servant leadership and collaborative coworker relationships each have a positive and significant impact on motivation. Furthermore, motivation has been shown to significantly mediate the influence of digital servant leadership on employee engagement, as well as collaborative coworker relationships and employee engagement. Therefore, it can be concluded that motivation plays a significant role as a mediator in strengthening the influence of leadership style and workplace social relationships on employee engagement, particularly among the younger generation working in the garment industry.
