Abstract

The development of digital technology requires vocational high school (SMK) students to possess programming competencies as preparation for the digital era. However, many students still experience difficulties in understanding basic programming concepts systematically. This community service activity aimed to improve the digital competence of students at SMKN 1 Pangkep through structured Python coding training. The training was conducted using hands-on learning and project-based learning approaches with materials covering algorithm logic, variables, operators, branching, looping, functions, and simple Python-based application development. The results showed that students were able to understand basic Python programming concepts and successfully develop simple CLI- and GUI-based applications. In addition to improving technical skills, the training also enhanced students’ problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and learning motivation in digital technology. Therefore, Python coding training can be an effective effort to improve the digital competence of vocational high school students in the era of technological advancement.

Abstract

Transformasi digital pendidikan menuntut guru memiliki kompetensi dalam merancang media pembelajaran berbasis web yang mudah diakses, ringan, terstruktur, dan dapat dikembangkan secara mandiri. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam membuat website pembelajaran menggunakan Static Site Generator Hugo. Pelatihan dirancang berbasis praktik dengan materi utama meliputi pengantar pemrograman web, teknologi dasar HTML, CSS, dan JavaScript, konsep website statis, Git dan GitHub, penulisan konten menggunakan Markdown, instalasi dan konfigurasi Hugo, pembuatan konten, serta publikasi website secara online melalui GitHub Pages. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup tahap persiapan, penyampaian konsep, demonstrasi, praktik terbimbing, pendampingan, dan evaluasi luaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pelatihan berbasis praktik mampu membantu guru memahami alur pembuatan website pembelajaran dari tahap penulisan konten sampai publikasi daring. Guru tidak hanya memperoleh pemahaman konseptual tentang website sebagai media pembelajaran, tetapi juga mengenal alur kerja modern dalam pengelolaan konten digital melalui Git, GitHub, Markdown, dan Hugo. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada penguatan kompetensi digital guru, khususnya dalam produksi media pembelajaran berbasis website statis yang efisien, aman, dan mudah dipelihara. Pelatihan lanjutan perlu diarahkan pada pengembangan desain antarmuka, pengelolaan konten mata pelajaran, optimasi akses mobile, serta evaluasi efektivitas website terhadap keterlibatan dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The Qur’an Education Park (Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an/TPA) is a non-formal Islamic educational institution that plays a strategic role in instilling the ability to read, memorize, and understand the Qur’an from an early age. The quality of learning in a TPA depends heavily on the competence of Qur’an teachers, including young Qur’an teachers who generally teach voluntarily with limited pedagogical and media skills. This community service activity aimed to strengthen the competence of young Qur’an teachers in using audio-visual media to improve the quality of Qur’an learning at TPA At-Tauhid Mattoangin. The training was designed as a practice-based activity using the Discourse–Demonstration–Practice approach and was carried out in four stages: initial observation, program planning, training and mentoring implementation, and activity evaluation. The materials covered the concept and function of audio-visual media, principles for selecting and curating media such as murottal, animated videos, and tajwid presentations, operating supporting devices, producing simple media using mobile applications, and integrating media into Qur’an learning. The activity involved 13 participants consisting of 8 males and 5 females. The results showed improvement in the participants’ competence in conceptual, technical, and pedagogical aspects; most participants were able to select, produce, and integrate audio-visual media into their lesson designs. This training contributed to strengthening the role of young Qur’an teachers from mere media users into designers and managers of learning media. Further mentoring is needed to develop a media library, verify the tajwid accuracy of the media, and integrate media sustainably into the TPA curriculum.

Abstract

Perumda Air Minum memiliki peran strategis dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasar masyarakat sekaligus mendukung kesehatan, produktivitas ekonomi, kualitas lingkungan, dan pembangunan daerah. Kompleksitas penyelenggaraan pelayanan air minum menuntut penguatan fungsi pengawasan pemerintah daerah agar pengelolaan Perumda berlangsung secara akuntabel, transparan, efektif, efisien, patuh terhadap regulasi, dan berorientasi pada keberlanjutan pelayanan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat pemahaman stakeholder mengenai fungsi pengawasan pemerintah daerah terhadap tata kelola pelayanan air minum pada Perumda Air Minum Kota Makassar. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan edukatif-partisipatif berupa pemaparan materi dan penguatan perspektif pengawasan. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup posisi strategis Perumda Air Minum, landasan hukum pengawasan, fungsi sosial dan ekonomi Perumda, program dan target pelayanan, perspektif auditor, tantangan penyelenggaraan pelayanan, inovasi dan keberlanjutan, serta arah transformasi menuju PDAM yang adaptif terhadap teknologi digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya penguatan perspektif peserta mengenai pentingnya pengawasan yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada evaluasi, tetapi juga pada perbaikan tata kelola, peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, pengendalian risiko, dan keberlanjutan Perumda. Kegiatan ini juga menegaskan pentingnya sinergi antara pemerintah daerah, Perumda Air Minum, dan masyarakat dalam mewujudkan pelayanan air minum yang akuntabel dan berkelanjutan. Tindak lanjut kegiatan diarahkan pada penguatan pengawasan secara konstruktif, pemanfaatan teknologi dalam monitoring pelayanan, serta peningkatan tata kelola Perumda secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Kuala Lumpur face various challenges in improving their economic well-being, entrepreneurial skills, and ability to safely utilize digital technology to support business activities. These conditions necessitate an empowerment program that focuses not only on enhancing production skills but also on strengthening digital system security and logistics management—factors crucial for business sustainability. This community service initiative aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of PMI in developing fishery agribusinesses through the implementation of effective digital system security and logistics management practices. The program employed the Participatory Action Learning (PAL) method, comprising material delivery, interactive discussions, simulations, hands-on practice, and mentoring. Program evaluation involved pre-tests and post-tests administered to 30 participants to measure improvements in understanding fishery agribusiness, digital system security, and logistics management. The results indicate an increase in participant knowledge across all measured indicators. Program effectiveness was demonstrated by a rise in the average participant score from 56.40 in the pre-test to 89.50 in the post-test—an increase of 33.10 points. Furthermore, participants demonstrated improved capabilities in identifying digital security threats, protecting personal data, leveraging digital technology for business support, and understanding efficient strategies for managing and distributing fishery products. The program positively impacted the capacity, self-reliance, and competitiveness of the PMI. Consequently, integrating fishery agribusiness, digital system security, and logistics management offers an effective and sustainable empowerment model for PMI to strengthen their economic resilience in the era of digital transformation.
