Abstract

The ability to think creatively is a necessary skill for students as a basis for thinking, with indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Therefore, a learning design is needed as a solution to train students abilities in generating many ideas smoothly, providing unique ideas, and relating their learning experiences as 21st century competencies. This study aims to describe the implementation process of PjBL-STEM integrated with SEL using a mini-planetarium product and analyze its impact on improving students creative thinking skills during the learning process. The learning process was implemented through several stages orientation, planningand designing, project creation, testing and presentation, and evaluation. This research is a case study with a single case design, which consists of determining and defining questions, determining research design and instruments, determining techniques and collecting research data, and making a final report. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and student questionnaires. The research instruments used were interview guidelines, learning implementation observation sheets, and student reflection questionnaires. Data analysis techniques were carried out by applying qualitative descriptive analysis and percentage calculation. The findings indicate that integrating PjBL-STEM with SEL through the mini-planetarium project effectively enhanced students creative thinking, with the strongest gains observed in fluency (89%) and flexibility (81%), while originality (74%) and elaboration (71%) showed good progress but require further reinforcement. Results on the implementation process are still under analysis and will provide important insights for refining instructional design and future classroom applications.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease whose prevalence continues to increase globally. Plant-based alternative therapy is becoming an increasingly popular option due to its minimal side effects. This study aims to test the potential of a combination of matoa (Pometia pinnata) and Moringa (Moringa oleifera) leaf extracts as an antidiabetic in alloxan-induced male mice (Mus musculus). The study was conducted experimentally with five treatment groups, including negative control, positive control, and three groups of extract combination doses (100, 225, and 300 mg/kg BB). Phytochemical tests showed the content of active compounds alkaloids, flavonoids, and steroids in the combination of extracts. Blood glucose level test results showed that the combination dose of 300 mg/kg BB (Dose III) was able to reduce blood glucose levels significantly and had comparable effectiveness with glibenclamide as a standard drug. Statistical analysis (One Way ANOVA and Post Hoc Bonferroni) confirmed that Dose III showed a significant difference compared to the lower dose, and was not significantly different from the positive control.Beyond these results, this study contributes new insights by highlighting the synergistic effect of combining two medicinal plants, providing a scientific basis for the development of standardized herbal formulations as potential alternatives in diabetes management.

Abstract

One of method increase ability think level tall that is with application of suitable learning media For competence 21st century one of them is e-learning. E-learning in research This developed with the PBL learning model which consists of above five syntax with objective capable increase HOTS skills and interests Study students . Based on results analysis needs carried out by researchers obtained that 91.5% of students interested For learning with using e-learning. Research This aiming For describe development e-learning physics based on problem based learning , acquiring e-learning physics that is feasible and practical For used in learning physics . Physics e-learning validated by 3 validators using sheet evaluation validity , as well as tested practicality by 3 teachers and 20 participants educate use sheet evaluation practicality . Research results show that e-learning physics based on problem based learning declared very worthy by the validator with mark validation 3.49 for material , 3.51 for media and 3.52 for pedagogy . Besides That based on practicality test results obtained the average value of teacher practicality is 88.00 (very practical) and the average practicality is 88.00 (very practical). student 89.50 (very practical).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different lengths of soaking on cyanide acid (HCN) content in ship bamboo shoots (Gigantochloa schortechinii) which are the main ingredient in making Lemea. Lemea is a specialty food of the Rejang tribe in Bengkulu Province where the main ingredient of Lemea is fermented chopped bamboo shoots (young bamboo). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with five repetitions and four treatment levels, namely. A = no treatment/control, B = 4 days soaking, C = 5 days soaking, D = 6 days soaking and E = 7 days soaking. The results of the analysis showed that different lengths of soaking time had an effect on reducing cyanide acid (HCN) content. The highest to lowest average cyanide acid (HCN) content was obtained from treatments A (70.066 ppm), B (53.759 ppm), C (42.374 ppm), D (29.739) and E (16.458 ppm). The best cyanide acid (HCN) content was obtained in the immersion treatment for 7 days with an average HCN content of 16.458 ppm, this result is highly recommended because the HCN content is safe for consumption according to FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization).

Abstract

Research on project based learning includes Project Based Learning (PjBL), is a learning model that involves student in designing or creating projects that are innovative, useful in solving problems in daily life, and emphasizing contextual assessment learning. This study aims to find out whether or not there is an influence of the STEAM-based PjBL model and environmental care attitudes on students' cognitive retention in elementary school grade IV science learning. The learning model used in this study is an experimental method using a 2 x 2 factorial design design. The population of this study was 62 people, consisting of 31 students who learned using the STEAM-based PjBL model and 31 students who learned using the PjBL learning model. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire and multiple-choice test. The first hypothesis test using the Two-Path Anava Test was obtained with a sig value of Fcalculated > Ftable or 19.94 > 4.105, then Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted, meaning that there was an influence of the STEAM-based PjBL learning model on the cognitive retention of grade IV students of SDN Ragunan 08. The second hypothesis test using the Two-Path Anava Test obtained a value of Sig. Ftables, the value of Fcalculated > Ftable or 33.49 > 4.105, then Ho was accepted and H1 was rejected, meaning that there was no influence of environmental care on the cognitive retention ability of grade IV students of SDN Ragunan 08. The third hypothesis test using the Two-Path Anava Test obtained a value of Sig. Fcalculate < Ftable or 3.64 < 4.105, then Ho rejected and H1 accepted, meaning that there was no interaction between the STEAM-based PjBL learning model and the attitude of environmental care towards the cognitive retention ability of grade IV students at SDN Ragunan 08.

Abstract

Science education in elementary schools often faces challenges in creating an engaging and meaningful learning environment. One of the main obstacles is the use of lecture-based methods, which make students less active and result in low learning outcomes. This study aims to evaluate the use of standing boards as an alternative visual learning medium in improving student learning outcomes on the subject of animal classification based on habitat and reproduction methods. The study was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, consisting of two cycles in Grade VI of SD Negeri Lembursitu, Sukabumi City. The instruments used included achievement tests and observation sheets for student and teacher activities. The results showed an increase in the average student score from 68 in the pre-cycle to 76 in cycle I, and reached 85 in cycle II. Student learning activities also showed positive development in engagement and participation during the learning process. In conclusion, the use of standing boards proved effective in improving students' science learning outcomes and fostering a more interactive and enjoyable learning process.

Abstract

The integration of local culture into science learning has become increasingly important to enhance contextual understanding, foster student engagement, and strengthen the relevance of scientific concepts in daily life. However, many learning resources still lack meaningful connections between scientific material and students’ cultural backgrounds, which may limit their motivation and science process skill development. To address this gap, this study aims to develop and evaluate a science e-module based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with pencak silat ethnoscience, focusing on the topic of the human respiratory system.to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) e-module integrated with ethnoscience pencak silat to improve students' science process skills in respiratory system material. The development model employed a 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The e-module was developed based on the needs analysis results, designed according to the structure and format of digital learning media, and validated by material, media, learning, and language experts. The instrument's validity was analyzed using Aiken's V, with results ranging from 0.84 to 0.91, indicating high validity. The product was tested through limited and medium-scale trials, involving 2–3 teachers and 6–24 students, which resulted in positive responses with average percentages above 87%. The effectiveness test through pretest and posttest in experimental and control classes across three schools showed significant improvements in the experimental class. Data analysis using independent sample t-tests indicated significant differences in posttest scores (p < 0.05). The developed e-module proved to be effective, practical, and valid in enhancing students' science process skills, Integrating scientific concepts with local cultural wisdom through pencak silat not only enriches students’ contextual understanding of science but also fosters cultural appreciation, strengthens identity, and promotes the relevance of science learning to real-life experiences.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the e- modul of heat and its transfer based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to improve the problem-solving skills of junior high school students who still have low skills. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population used was seventh grade students at SMPN 2 Purwosari Bojonegoro. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The research sample consisted of classes VIIA, VIIB, and VIIC with a total of 96 students.The research instrument was form of a problem-solving skills test consisting of 5 description questions. The sampling technique uses random sampling in which. The data analysis technique was used ANCOVA test and N-Gain score analysis. The ANCOVA results test is obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.05. This data shows that the use of e-modules has a significant influence on students' problem-solving skills. Based on the N-Gain score, were clearly showed that the use of e-modules provided higher improvement in problem-solving skills than the PPT in experiment class in the control class. The e-module class obtained a score of 0.31 (Identify), 0.52 (Define), 0.56 (Explore Strategies), 0.71 (Anticipate), and 0.76 (Look Back). Three indicators were in the medium category, and two indicators were in the high category. In contrast, control class reaches the low to medium category, and the control class is mostly in the low category. Based on this data, it can be concluded that the use of the heat and its transfer e-module based on PBL has proven to be effective in improving the problem-solving skills of junior high school students and helping students better understand concepts, as well as training them to think critically and reflectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the influence of learning models Project Based Learning (PjBL) on Critical Thinking Skills, the influence of Digital Literacy to Ability and there is an interaction between Project Based Learning (PjBL) with Digital Literacy. The method used is a quantitative method. The instrument used is a test. The test was given to students of SD Negeri Tomang 03 class VA and VB. The data analysis used was a two-way ANOVA test. The results of this study showed that there was an influence and significance between the influence of the learning model Project Based Learning (PjBL) on students' critical thinking skills with Fhit values ​​> Ftab 5.97> 4.14, there is a significant influence on digital literacy on students' critical thinking skills with Fhit > Ftab 33.41 > 4.14, there is no interaction between Project Based Learning (PjBL) with Digital Literacy students with Fhit < Ftab -0.27 < 4.14. Learning model Project Based Learning (PjBL) has an influence on students' critical thinking skills, so that Project Based Learning (PjBL) will contribute to students' critical thinking skills. Digital Literacy has an influence on students' critical thinking skills, so that with digital literacy which will contribute to students' thinking skills. The higher the digital literacy, the higher the students, then students' critical thinking skills will also increase.

Abstract

The mastery of students data interpretation and collaboration skills in schools is still relatively low, falling into the “fair” category. Therefore, strategies are needed to improve these skills. This study aims to improve students’ data interpretation skills and collaboration skills through the implementation of the discovery learning model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 11 grade X ATPH students. Data were collected using a data interpretation skills test and a collaboration observation sheet, both of which had been content-validated by experts. The results showed that teacher activity increased from 82% in Cycle I to 88% in Cycle II, while student activity increased from 80% to 84%. The average student collaboration skills improved from 54% in the pre-cycle to 66% at the end of Cycle I, and further increased to 72% at the end of Cycle II, with all indicators falling into the collaborative category. Data interpretation skills also showed improvement, with the class average rising from 68% in Cycle I to 77% in Cycle II. These findings indicate that the implementation of the discovery learning model is effective in enhancing students’ data interpretation and collaboration skills. This model can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to foster the development of data interpretation and collaboration skills in the classroom.
