Abstract

This study empirically investigated teachers' perceptions, current assessment grading practices, and views towards classroom assessment grading practice. The study randomly sampled 204 teachers and utilized three questionnaires for data collection. Cronbach Alpha Coefficient established the reliability of the various questionnaires. Frequency counts and percentages were used to answer the study research questions, while Pearson correlation was employed to test the study hypotheses. The study found that teachers do not positively perceive assessment grading practice, included non-achievement factors when grading students' assessments and used subjective knowledge when grading assessments. However, teachers viewed the assessment grading practice as an essential tool for quantification of students learning. Subsequently, significance difference was found between teachers' experience and teachers' perception towards assessment grading practice and views on the classroom importance of assessment grading practice. Nonetheless, no significant difference was found between teachers experience and teachers' current classroom grading habits.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using Rolling Quiz Box media to improve students' critical thinking skills. The method in this research uses quantitative research of the Quasi Experiment type with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. In this design there are two study groups, namely the control class and the experimental class. At the beginning of the research, a pretest was given to see the students' initial understanding and a posttest was given after the treatment for the control class teaching without media and the experimental class teaching using Rolling Quiz Box media. The population and sample in this study were class III MIN 1 students in Medan City. From the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of Rolling Quiz Box media, education which influences students' critical thinking skills, has proven to be beneficial. This study shows a significant increase in academic performance, as evidenced by a fairly large increase in the posttest average of the control group to 64.79 and the experimental group, namely 81.67.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the compatibility of the item response theory models in Mathematics National Exam and to find out the estimated parameters of the items. Qualitative analysis was carried out on the responses of 3223 students in Yogyakarta. The analysis was carried out using statistical and graph methods. Based on the results of the model suitability analysis, it was found that the model suitable for the Mathematics National Examination was a three-parameter logistic model (3 PL). The difficulty in the range of -0.887 to 1.013, discrimination between 0.78 - 3.551 and pseudo guessing between 0.181 to 0.5.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Learning Management System (LMS) assistance in Think-Pair-Share (TPS) strategy and the effect of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) strategy on students’ learning outcomes and motivation. Fourty students of two science classes were involved in this study. The treatment instruments used in this study were acid-base teaching materials, syllabus, student worksheets (LKPD), lesson plans (RPP), and Learning Management System (LMS). The measurement instrument employed a test question sheet and a student motivation questionnaire. The results showed differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught with the assistance of LMS in TPS strategy compared to students who are taught using TPS only are observed. There are differences in motivation among participants. Students who are taught with the assistance of LMS in TPS strategy compared to students who are taught with TPS strategy only.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of web-based teaching materials about "我的家人"(wǒ de jiā rén, my family)in Mandarin subject. This research employed a mixture of quantitative and qualitative research methods with the Alessi & Trollip development model of planning, design, and development. The subjects of this study were 37 students of management major at MDP University. The trial design in this study used a one-group pretest and posttestdesign. This research's datacollection techniques are interviews, observations, tests, and questionnaires. The researchers utilizedinterviews, observations, tests, and questionnaires to analyzethe data. The research analysison the development of teaching materials can be described as: (1) its validity has been tested after being tested through 3 experts carried out in stages, with an assessment of 93.33%. (2) its practicality has been tested on threestudents byfilling out a questionnaire. Itis obtained an efficient evaluation(91.66%) for each assessor. Thisweb-based teaching material can be used as online collaborative learningby getting an efficient assessment. (3) effectively increaseslearning outcomes between the pretest and posttestscores. In the pretest, the score was dominated in the very poor category, while in the posttest, the score was dominated in the good enough category. Itwas considered effective, reflected in the N-gain score of 56.49% in the medium category

Abstract

The global crisis has brought about fundamental changes in teaching methods, forcing the education system to adapt quickly and effectively. Many institutions face challenges such as unequal access to technology, inadequate infrastructure, and varying teacher readiness, which leads to disparities in the quality of learning. This study examines the application of benchmarking practices as a strategy to improve the quality of learning in the midst of crisis conditions. Through an in-depth analysis of SMK Negeri Darul Ulum Muncar, the study found that by adopting innovative teaching methods that have proven successful in other institutions, educational institutions can improve student engagement and academic achievement. The descriptive and qualitative approach applied allows for an in-depth understanding of the strategies used. The results show that the application of the best practices model adaptively not only maintains educational standards, but also encourages innovation in teaching methods. In addition, this study emphasizes the importance of building sustainable education system resilience to face future challenges. These findings are expected to provide guidance for stakeholders in implementing benchmarking as part of a sustainable improvement strategy, so that the quality of education is maintained in an uncertain crisis era.

Abstract

There are several problems in the learning process of Basic Electricity and Electronics at SMK Negeri 8 Malang, including: (1) When learning takes place students do not pay attention and listen to the teacher when delivering material, (2) The teacher does not focus on learning activities to students, (3) Students are less active in asking and expressing his opinion about the material that has been taught. This study uses a variety of learning models and methods that can improve students' learning activeness and conceptual understanding, namely the Auditory, Intellectual, Repetition (AIR) learning model and the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model, each of which is combined with cognitive conflict strategies. The research design used a quasi experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design type. The data analysis technique consisted of normality test, homogeneity test, two mean similarity test, and hypothesis testing. The conclusion of this study is that the AIR learning model combined with cognitive conflict strategies is superior to the TAI learning model combined with cognitive conflict strategies
