Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays an important role in shaping the character and morals of students in Indonesia. Even though it has a strategic function, PAI learning often faces challenges, such as low student involvement and monotonous methods. To overcome this, project-based evaluation (Project Based Learning) is proposed as an innovative approach. This method emphasizes students' active involvement through exploration and collaboration in projects relevant to Islamic values. By implementing project-based evaluation, it is hoped that students will not only understand religious concepts theoretically but also be able to internalize and apply them in everyday life. This research aims to explore the implementation of project-based evaluation in PAI learning, as well as its impact on increasing student motivation, creativity and skills. Through this approach, PAI learning is expected to become more interesting and meaningful, in line with the demands of 21st century education

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of affective assessment, the steps in developing affective assessment instruments, and the challenges and solutions that may be encountered in developing such instruments. Through a literature review, this study analyzes various sources related to affective assessment. The results of the study show that affective assessment plays a significant role in measuring students' holistic development, but it is often overlooked. The affective domain encompasses various aspects such as attitudes, values, interests, and emotions. The development of affective assessment instruments requires careful planning, from determining indicators to data analysis. Challenges in developing these instruments include a lack of teacher understanding, limited availability of valid and reliable instruments, and difficulties in producing objective assessments. This study concludes that the development of high-quality affective assessment instruments is essential for improving the quality of learning and a more comprehensive understanding of student development.

Abstract

The ability of students to develop fundamental mental, physical and social skills is known as psychomotor assessment, and it serves as a catalyst for the development of higher talents in a person. This psychomotor evaluation is very important in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) because it can measure students' abilities in the subject. The purpose of this study is to determine the challenges faced by PAI teachers in implementing psychomotor assessment at SMPN 1 Jenangan. Descriptive qualitative method was used in this study, and data were collected using school environment analysis sheet, interview protocol, and observation. According to this study, there are some major obstacles in implementing psychomotor assessment on students, such as lack of training for teachers, challenges in creating assessment tools, lack of learning time, and inadequate facilities. This study suggests that to facilitate more optimal development of psychomotor assessment, teachers should receive training on psychomotor assessment techniques and skills.

Abstract

This research activity aims to increase the insight of prospective PAI teachers in making question items. The aim of this research is to increase the knowledge of prospective PAI teachers about how to create test items. Apart from that, this mentoring activity is expected to increase prospective teachers' knowledge about learning evaluation. Overall, it is hoped that this research can increase teacher innovation to improve the overall quality of learning. This research involves the Library research method. This activity is carried out during the course by creating questions in the Pai B class at IAIN Ponorogo. The activity ran smoothly with feedback from the lecturer who delivered the material and then the students who wrote the questions with full assistance and provided support in the question making process. Apart from that, the success of this activity can also be seen in the indicators that have been set.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMK PGRI 1 Ponorogo and identify development strategies applied to improve learning effectiveness. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis such as syllabus and lesson plans. The results showed that the development of PAI learning was carried out by utilizing interactive methods, using appropriate learning media, and strengthening teachers' competencies through continuous training. However, the research also found some obstacles, such as limited supporting facilities and lack of student learning motivation. To overcome this, the school conducted a collaborative program between teachers, students, and related parties to create a more conducive learning environment. This study confirms the importance of developing PAI learning integrated with character values to support the achievement of educational goals. The findings provide practical recommendations for schools in improving the quality of PAI learning, as well as a reference for further research in the field of religious education.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine how SMPN 1 JetisPonorogo implements cognitive elements in muhadhoroh activities. As a public speaking teaching method, muhadhoroh has the ability to improve students' cognitive abilities, including information synthesis, analysis and critical thinking. This research uses case study methodology and qualitative techniques which include document analysis, interviews and observations. Research findings show that by offering difficult material and encouraging group debate, muhadhoroh training at SMPN 1 Jetis includes cognitive elements in addition to technical speaking skills. Students' critical and analytical thinking skills are improved by being encouraged to carry out research on the subjects that will be presented. Additionally, input from peers and instructors plays an important role in helping children improve their cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas penerapan pembelajaran kolaboratif di SMPN 1 MlarakPonorogo sebagai solusi untuk mempercepat penyelesaian tugas siswa. Pembelajarankolaboratif yang berlandaskan kerja sama antar siswa diimplementasikan melaluikelompok belajar heterogen dengan bimbingan aktif guru. Metode ini tidak hanyamembantu siswa memahami materi pelajaran secara lebih mendalam, tetapi jugameningkatkan keterampilan sosial, motivasi belajar, dan rasa tanggung jawab individumaupun kelompok. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untukmenganalisis dampak pembelajaran kolaboratif terhadap percepatan penyelesaiantugas siswa dan tantangan dalam implementasinya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa metodeini efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas pembelajaran meskipunmemerlukan pengelolaan yang baik untuk mengatasi kendala partisipasi siswa yangtidak merata. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembanganstrategi pengajaran inovatif di sekolah.

Abstract

An educator should be able to manage a fun learning process, and use interactive strategies in delivering material so that students are easy to understand and feel comfortable during learning. Fun learning is proven to have a big effect on student learning outcomes. However, learning Islamic religious education sometimes only applies the lecture method and lacks differentiation, learning becomes less interesting and optimal for students. The purpose of this study is to find out the application of a humorous teaching style that can be an innovation in learning Islamic religious education which usually tends to be boring and monotonous. In this research, the method used is descriptive qualitative. Through a qualitative approach, descriptive information is obtained in the form of text sourced from several individuals and behaviors that can be observed. Data collection techniques in this research are through observation, documentation, and interviews. This research will explain the meaning of humorous teaching style, types of humor in learning, the benefits of applying humorous teaching style, and humorous teaching style applied in learning Islamic religious education at SMK PGRI 1 Ponorogo. The results showed that humorous teaching style is very important to be applied in learning. Learners who follow learning with fun will not feel bored or saturated in the classroom, will not experience frustration in learning, and will be able to remember the subject matter better.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed educational practices worldwide, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE). While AI offers substantial opportunities to enhance learning effectiveness, personalization, and accessibility, its implementation also raises ethical concerns related to privacy, academic integrity, algorithmic bias, transparency, and the preservation of religious values. In the Malaysian context, where Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ moral and spiritual development, the integration of AI requires a framework that aligns technological innovation with Islamic ethical principles. This conceptual paper aims to develop a framework for AI ethics in Islamic Religious Education by integrating contemporary AI ethics principles with the objectives of Islamic law (Maqasid al-Shariah). Using a qualitative conceptual approach through an extensive review of literature on AI ethics, educational technology, Islamic education, and Maqasid al-Shariah, the study identifies key ethical dimensions relevant to AI implementation in IRE. The proposed framework encompasses the principles of transparency, accountability, justice, privacy protection, human dignity, and educational responsibility, supported by the Maqasid al-Shariah dimensions of preserving religion (hifz al-din), intellect (hifz al-‘aql), life (hifz al-nafs), wealth (hifz al-mal), and lineage (hifz al-nasl). The framework offers theoretical guidance for policymakers, educators, and higher education institutions in Malaysia to promote responsible AI adoption while maintaining Islamic values and educational objectives. The study contributes to the growing discourse on ethical AI in religious education and provides a foundation for future empirical investigations in Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

The development of students' attitudes aligned with Islamic teachings is a fundamental goal of religious education, particularly in the subject of Akidah Akhlak. However, there remains a gap between the theoretical knowledge imparted and its practical application in students’ daily behavior. This study aims to analyze the content of Akidah Akhlak material for Grade VI students in fostering key attitudes such as faith, honesty, empathy, and environmental awareness. This research method uses a literature review approach to collect, analyze, and synthesize various scientific sources that are relevant to the analysis of material on faith and morals and the development of aspects of student attitudes. The Results reveal that while the content is well-structured and aligns with Islamic educational objectives, its implementation is predominantly theoretical, with limited integration of experiential learning and practical activities. Additionally, the utilization of digital technology as a medium for delivering Akidah Akhlak material remains underexplored, despite its potential to engage students in the digital era. This study concludes that the teaching of Akidah Akhlak must move beyond rote learning to adopt interactive, technology-enhanced, and context-based methods to better internalize Islamic values in students' attitudes and behaviors.
