Abstract

The poor beginning reading abilities of first graders, who face multiple problems, were the driving force behind the study. Even now, some of them are still stuttering and some don't know the alphabet. The aim of this study is to find out whether the silaba method with the help of Big Book media has an impact on the beginning reading ability of class I students at SDN Keboananom Gedangan. By using a Posttest-Only Control Design, this research design is quasi-experimental. Those participating in this research were all students at SDN Keboananom Gedangan in classes I A and I B. The experimental class was class I B, and all students in class I A were the control group. A test, Posttest, is used to carry out data collection techniques. Based on a study entitled "The influence of the Silaba method assisted by Big Book media on reading ability at the beginning of class I at SDN Keboananom Gedangan". The t-test shows the data analysis method used to determine the Posttest results. The Sig value can be obtained from calculations tested with SPSS t-test version 21. The Sig value (2-tailed) is 0.000. When the test (2-tailed) is less than 0.05, Ho is disqualified and Ha is approved in this case. Based on the findings of this study, the reading ability of grade 1 students at SDN Keboananom Gedangan was influenced by the silaba method assisted by Big Book media.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence leardership has on decision making with minimum service standars in the Tualang Village Office, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The method used in this research is a quantilative method. To determine the significant level of influence of Lerdership on Decision Making with Minimum Service Standars in the Tualang Village Office, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, a hypothesis test was carried out on r by determining the real level = 5%. Determine the r table test n = 33. It is known based on data processing that the result of the r table value using SPSS version 23.0, the result of X (leardership) t count 3.250 so in this case Z (SPM) t count 6.070 is greather than t table 2.0422 so there is a significant influence. And the regression analysis shown that variable X is 0.003. and variable Z is 0.000 and is smaller than 0.05. So that the Lerdership and minimum servive standars variables influence decision making.

Abstract

GeoGebra functions as a dynamic image media that allows students to interact with shifting points, measuring line segments and areas, providing direct experience for discovery activities and motivating students in learning mathematics, so that there is a lot of research using GeoGebra, especially in elementary education. This research focuses on analyzing publication trends related to the use of GeoGebra in basic education. Using RStudio and Vosviewer, researchers evaluated 70 Scopus documents with specified keywords. The analysis results revealed a significant increase in 2021, where 15 articles (21.43% of the total) were published, reaching the highest peak. 2022 also provided a high contribution with 13 articles (18.57%). Four main research focuses regarding GeoGebra in basic education were identified. Additionally, recent keyword analysis highlights “geogebrum” and “mathematics learning” as trends worth exploring further. This research provides insight into publication dynamics and current research trends in the use of GeoGebra, providing impetus for further exploration in the context of mathematics learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to determine the role of philosophy of science on the influence of the development of science and technology (IPTEK). Technology and science which are increasingly popular are now attracting a lot of attention, especially among the millennial generation. Knowledge that develops according to the civilization of the times cannot be rejected or stopped temporarily, but can be responded to wisely. Society as participants in the development of science and technology must understand the importance of philosophy to create realistic and logical boundaries for the development of science so as not to harm humans, nature and the environment. The method used in this article is the library research method. The results of this article show that the philosophy of science needs to be present amidst the development of science and technology which is marked by increasingly sharp scientific specialization. The philosophy of science provides a vision for society, so that it does not remain silent under the influence of current developments. As members of society and especially the younger generation, we can take representative and proactive action to prevent as much as possible the negative impact of technology on life. The conclusion of this article is that the development of science and technology cannot be separated from the philosophy of science. The philosophy of science plays an important role in the development of science and technology at science and technology testing institutions to share critical and logical thinking on current developments in science and technology.

Abstract

Knowing the influence of lower limb muscle endurance training on the straight kicking ability of athletes in the Unpatti wushu sanda club, the research method used was field experimentation. It aimed to demonstrate whether there is a cause-and-effect relationship between lower limb muscle endurance training and the enhancement of straight kicking ability in Unpatti wushu sanda club athletes using circuit training method with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The population in the study consisted of all individuals who must have at least one similar trait, totaling 30 wushu sanda athletes. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, with the sample determined based on homogeneity, with 15 female wushu sanda athletes. The treatment instrument used in this study was the circuit training method. Meanwhile, the measurement instrument to determine straight kicking endurance used a 60-second test. The calculation results showed thitung = 6.243, while for ttabel = 1.76. Based on the critical region where H0 is rejected if the p value (sig.) <0.05, as thitung > ttabel, or 6.243 > 1.76. Therefore, it can be stated that the observational hypothesis or Ho is accepted, indicating the influence of lower limb muscle endurance training on straight kicking ability.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of skills in guiding small group discussions on activelearning in Financial Accounting subjects in class XI Accounting students at Polewali State VocationalSchool 1. The variables in this research are skills in guiding small group discussions as the independentvariable and active learning as the dependent variable. The population in this study was all students of class The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The data analysistechniques used are descriptive statistical analysis, instrument testing, and hypothesis testing usingSPSS Version 25. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been carried out, a simple linear regression equation model Y'=32.935+0.720 From the results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination (r²), thevalue of r² = 0,279 is obtained, which means that the skill of guiding small group discussions influenceto students' active learning by 27.9% and the remaining 72.1% is influenced by other factors.Meanwhile, from the results of the t-test analysis, a significant value of 0.000<0.05 was obtained, whichmeans that the skill of guiding small group discussions has a positive and significant effect on students'active learning, thus the hypothesis is "accepted”.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of sexual abuse among children is a serious issue requiring urgentattention. Sexual abuse not only impacts children physically but also mentally and emotionally,potentially damaging their thought patterns and psychological well-being. This research aims to highlight the importance of sex education from an early age as a preventive measure against sexualabuse. Data indicates that the rate of sexual abuse crimes in Indonesia remains high, with manycases involving children under the age of 10. Early sex education is considered crucial to equipchildren with accurate knowledge about sexuality and healthy boundaries. A literature review wasconducted to explore the concept of sex education, its objectives, and implementation methods. Theresults indicate that sex education aims to provide understanding of the body, healthyinterpersonal relationships, and moral values. This research emphasizes the importance of early sexeducation as an effective preventive measure to protect children from sexual abuse. By providingaccurate understanding of sexuality from a young age, children can develop healthy attitudestowards their bodies and interpersonal relationships, and can identify and protect themselves fromrisky situations. Moreover, the involvement of parents and educators in providing appropriate andcomprehensive sex education is crucial to creating a safe and supportive environment for children.Thus, sex education from an early age is not only the responsibility of individuals but also aninvestment in a better future for the next generation.

Abstract

The teacher's strategy for developing the receptive language skills of children aged 4 - 5 years at the Tadika Borneo Education Foundation in Medan is by implementing a chain word game. This research aims to 1) Understand receptive language skills in children aged 4 - 5 years at the Tadika Borneo Education Foundation Medan, 2) Find out what strategies educators use to develop receptive language skills in children aged 4 - 5 years at the Tadika Borneo Education Foundation Medan, 3) Understand the stages in the strategies used by educators to develop the receptive language skills of children aged 4 - 5 years at the Tadika Borneo Education Foundation, Medan. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. The subjects in this research were 11 children aged 4 - 5 years at the Tadika Borneo Education Foundation in Medan. The results of this research show that the receptive or receptive language skills of children aged 4 - 5 years at the Tadika Borneo Education Foundation in Medan have developed as expected with a success percentage of 63%. This is shown by observations and interview results which suggest that chain word games can develop the receptive language of children aged 4 - 5 years and respondents also feel comfortable when the chain word game process is carried out.

Abstract

The protection of children's right to education is a crucial aspect of nation-building. However,children who become victims of child labor exploitation are vulnerable to violations of this right. Thisstudy aims to identify the issues surrounding the educational rights of children who are victims ofchild labor exploitation and formulate necessary policy recommendations. The research aims to highlight the low level of education, barriers to accessing education, and the negative impactsexperienced by children who are victims of child labor exploitation. Additionally, its objectivesinclude formulating policy recommendations to enhance the protection of children's educationalrights. The method employed in this study is literature review. Data collection involves a review ofbooks, literature, records, and reports related to the educational rights issues of children who arevictims of child labor exploitation. The study identifies the low level of education received, barriersto accessing education, and negative impacts such as decreased academic achievement as the mainissues faced by children who are victims of child labor exploitation. The policy recommendationsemphasize the importance of law enforcement, improved access to education, integration of formaland non-formal education, and government commitment to poverty alleviation. Efforts to raisepublic awareness are also a focus in formulating policy recommendations.

Abstract

Technological development is undergoing an endless process of changes from time to time. There are technological tools that help ease and streamline human work, one of which is smartphones. This has become widespread among the public, adults and even young children can use smartphones. This fact is very worrying for young children, because some parents use smartphones as a soother when their children cry. In early childhood, children experience development in the stage of exploring and interacting with the environment. It is not uncommon for young children to play and satisfy their curiosity via smartphones, because for children smartphones are an interesting thing. Children's social development is related to how children are able to be confident, have honesty, and have a sense of empathy. So it is necessary for parents to accompany their children's social development, so that children develop as expected.
