Abstract

Epistemological discussions are more focused on the sources of knowledge (the origin of knowledge) and theories about the truth of knowledge. The first discussion is related to the truth of the philosophy of science, types of philosophical truth of science, criteria for the philosophical truth of science, and the nature of the philosophical truth of science. Meanwhile, the second discussion focuses on the question of whether the "truth" of knowledge can be described with patterns of correspondence, coherence, or practical-pragmatic aspects. Furthermore, discussions in epistemology undergo development, with a focus on the sources of knowledge, processes and methods to obtain knowledge, ways to prove the truth of knowledge, and levels of truth of knowledge. This article attempts to explore the position of knowledge and truth.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the basic principles of ethics in a scientific study. The method used in conducting this research is the Library Research method or literature research by collecting various kinds of data and literacy needed for this research. The results of this study are: 1) The basic principles of ethics in scientific research, namely, respect & respect the dignity of human beings as research subjects, Respect the privacy and confidentiality of research subjects, uphold the principles of fairness & equality, take into account the positive and negative impacts of research. 2) Ethics of researchers in scientific research, namely: honesty, objectivity, integrity, accuracy, social responsibility, competence and legality. 3) Ethics of researchers to respondents, assistants and clients. 4) Ethical violations in scientific research, including: fabrication, falsification, plagiarism and conflict of interest. A researcher should apply basic ethical principles in scientific research in order to produce good research worthy of publication.

Abstract

The science seeks to reveal reality as it is; ethics and morals are essentially guides on what humans should do. Science is a conscious effort to investigate, discover, and enhance human understanding of various aspects of reality within the human realm. These aspects are limited to produce definite formulations. Science provides certainty by limiting its scope of view, and the certainty of sciences is derived from its limitations. Science is not just knowledge but encompasses a collection of knowledge based on agreed-upon theories and can systematically be tested with a set of recognized methods in a specific field of science.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the combination research model or what is known as mixed-methods. The intended meaning in research method is any planned, systematic, scientific, and rational activity in collecting facts. Meanwhile, the research in this paper focuses more on the approach taken in the combination research model (mixed-methods). In this research, the researcher deeply examines the concept and application of research approaches in various previous scientific studies. The materials studied are theoretical studies and results of previous research, both from national and international books and journals. The author employs data analysis with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research results indicate that the use of methods in scientific research has been able to reveal truths and new knowledge for the development of beneficial scientific knowledge for human life. The use of the combination research method (mixed-methods) encourages deeper, more comprehensive, and holistic problem-solving.

Abstract

Logic is a branch of philosophy that explores rules, principles, legal books, and methods or procedures in achieving knowledge rationally and correctly. It is also a way to acquire knowledge using systematic reasoning, words, and language. Logic can be systematized into several categories depending on the perspective from which we view it. In terms of quality, logic can be distinguished into two, namely natural logic and artificial logic (scientific logic). Reasoning is a critical thinking process in drawing conclusions that result in knowledge. Humans are fundamentally creatures that think, feel, behave, and act. Attitudes and actions are based on knowledge obtained through feeling or thinking activities. Reasoning produces knowledge associated with critical thinking activities. Reasoning is a critical thinking process in drawing conclusions that result in knowledge. Therefore, reasoning is one of the processes in critical thinking that combines two or more thoughts to draw a conclusion to gain knowledge.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze quantitative and qualitative research in research. Quantitative data analysis methods are computational and statistical methods that focus on statistical, mathematical or numerical analysis of data sets. So when researchers use this method it will definitely be able to be measured or numbered. that research is divided into two types, namely qualitative and quantitative research. Where each type of research has its own characteristics, both in terms of objectives, content, data, sources and data analysis. Because each research has different objectives. So that each research has different data analysis methods or techniques.

Abstract

Collecting data and then processing it is not an easy task. Because if you obtain incorrect or inappropriate data, the results of the processing will also be incorrect or inappropriate. The validity of data is an important factor in scientific research. This paper is written to understand the technique of examining the validity of data in scientific research. The approach in this paper uses literature study with data collection technique using documentation, such as books and scientific articles related to the theme of this paper. Data analysis technique is done through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study can be summarized that in the technique of examining the validity of data, there are four criteria used in data validity testing, namely: credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. And there are four types of triangulation as techniques for examining the validity of data, namely: source usage, method, inter-researcher, and theory.

Abstract

transformation process into digital form, both contents (contents) and the system. Nowadays the concept of e-Learning has been widely accepted by the world community, as evidenced by the widespread implementation of e-learning in educational institutions. E-learning enables learners to access information that is accurate and up-todate without the barriers of space and time. Ease of access to E-learning makes students can learn from anywhere and at any time origin have adequate internet connection. The conclusion is: (1) Students can easily take courses anywhere without being confined again to the constraints of the institution and the state, (2) Students can easily sit and discuss with experts or experts in the field of interest, (3) Course materials even can easily be taken in various parts of the world without depending on the college in which students learn.

Abstract

Philosophy is a science that is extensive, meaning that it is closely related to our daily lives. In fact, it can be said that philosophy is the driving force of our daily lives as individuals and as collective human beings in the form of a society or nation. chroPhilosophy of science is a philosophical reflection of the nature of science that will not recognize a stopping point in the direction of the goals to be achieved, namely truth and reality. Understanding the philosophy of science means understanding the intricacies of science so that the most basic aspects and joints, to understand the perspective of science, the possibility of its development, and the interrelationships between branches of science with one another. The research approach that researchers use in writing scientific papers is a type of library research. It can be concluded that philosophy is a science that studies seriously the nature of the truth of all things. Science is a method of thinking objectively in describing and giving meaning to the real world and has principles to organize and systematize. The indicators of science are: Accumulative, the truth is not absolute, objective. There are six phases of scientific development, including; The PreAncient Greek Phase, the Ancient Greek Phase, the Medieval Phase, the Renaissance Age phase, the Modern Age phase, and finally the Contemporary Age phase.

Abstract

Seeking knowledge is something that should be done by all levels of society. Both world knowledge, where a person needs this knowledge for survival, and religious knowledge which is of course the main foundation for all aspects of life. Manners, morals, ethics are of course things that are often put forward by everyone, and you can see how someone currently assesses each person's personality, by looking at their manners. From this research, the aim is to find out the urgency of adab in seeking knowledge, by looking at Naquib al-Attas' thoughts on this matter. This research is library research, using descriptive qualitative research methods. The urgency of adab in seeking knowledge is very important, because if existing knowledge is damaged, this is caused by damage to the etiquette and morals of each party, and causes the spread of ignorance.
