Abstract

Abstract Integrated science process skills are one of the demands of the 21st century. The guided discovery model can be applied in learning to train integrated science process skills. The research aims to produce an E-LKPD based on guided discovery for plant growth and development to train integrated science process skills that are theoretically and empirically feasible. This research is development research using the 4D mode, which consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. This research only reached the development stage. Theoretical feasibility based on the validation results includes presentation, content, and language aspects. Empirical feasibility is obtained from the integrated science process skills test-score and students’ responses. E-LKPD is categorized as theoretically feasible if it scores ≥ 2.51. E-LKPD was classified as empirically feasible if the percentage of students on the achievement of integrated science process skills indicators ≥ 76% and strong criteria student responses ≥ 61%. The results of theoretical feasibility in the validation test obtained a score of 3.86 (very valid). The empirical feasibility of E-LKPD is shown by the test results showing the achievement of integrated science process skills indicators obtaining good to very good criteria, namely formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, identifying variables, carrying out experiments, presenting data, analyzing data, formulating conclusions successively by 96.7%; 91.7%; 86.6%; 91%; 96%; 78.3%; 91.7%, and the results of students' responses 97.25% (very strong). E-LKPD is declared theoretically and empirically feasible to use in learning. Key words: E-LKPD, guided discovery, growth, development, integrated process skills.

Abstract

The role of the laboratory in education can improve skills, including scientific process skills such as analyzing, evaluating, and thinking. One of the thinking skills is high-level thinking involving complex judgment skills, such as critical thinking, but students' critical thinking skills in Indonesia need to be improved. One of the Biology materials that can be carried out in practice is the Human Circulatory System, including the blood group system and heart organ function concepts. It requires expensive tools and materials and avoids disease transmission, so an interactive virtual laboratory medium is needed, one of which is the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI). This study aimed to determine the effect of using the HHMI interactive virtual laboratory on the critical thinking skills of XI Senior High School students in the Human Circulatory System Material Heart Organ Subchapter. The research used the experimental method and quantitative research. The research design was a Post-Test-Only Control Design, providing a post-test for the experimental and control groups after treatment. The statistical analysis was non-parametric to test the Mann-Whitney U hypothesis with a significance level of 0.05 with SPSS 23. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the results of critical thinking skills had a significant difference based on the results of hypothesis testing, with a Sig value of 0.010 at a significant level of 5%. Based on these results, interactive virtual laboratories affect students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan media permainan kartu sebagai media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan praktis untuk melatih keterampilan HOTS siswa dilihat dari aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan yang diberi nama media permainan KARZIM (Kartu Enzim). Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation) dengan desain penelitian one group pretest dan posttest design yang dilakukan pada 22 siswa kelas XII SMA. Rincian hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di antaranya validitas permainan KARZIM mendapatkan persentase rata-rata sebesar 98,67%, kepraktisan permainan KARZIM dilihat dari hasil keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 95,13%; lembar aktivitas siswa sebesar 97,2%; angket respons siswa sebesar 96,63%, dan keefektifan permainan KARZIM ditinjau dari hasil pretest mendapatkan persentase rata-rata sebesar 53,63% dan posttest mendapatkan persentase rata-rata sebesar 81,36% dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 90,90% (indikator interpretasi sebesar 27,28%, indikator analisis sebesar 28,79%, dan indikator evaluasi sebesar 26,14%). Pada semua hasil di atas mendapatkan kategori sangat baik. Peningkatan skor keterampilan HOTS melalui perhitungan N-gain score mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,65 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan KARZIM untuk melatih keterampilan HOTS dikatakan layak berdasarkan validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan.

Abstract

Abstrak Pengembangan media digital diperlukan dalam bidang pendidikan untuk memudahkan proses pembelajaran. Siswa bosan menggunakan media pembelajaran powerpoint dan kesulitan pada materi Sistem Respirasi Manusia karena abstrak. Akibatnya, motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa rendah. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran audio visual. Media audio visual mampu menarik minat siswa untuk belajar dan memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan media pembelajaran audio visual berbasis Canva materi Sistem Respirasi Manusia dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ASSURE (analyze learner, state objective, select media and materials, utilize media and materials, require learner participant dan evaluated and revise) dan uji coba terbatas pada 15 siswa di SMAN 14 Surabaya. Validitas diperoleh berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi, ahli media dan guru Biologi. Kepraktisan diperoleh berdasarkan hasil respons siswa. Keefektifan diperoleh berdasarkan motivasi yang mencakup hasil observasi dan hasil respons siswa, serta hasil belajar kognitif siswa mencakup pretest dan posttest. Validitas diperoleh rata-rata 3,80 (sangat valid). Kepraktisan diperoleh rata-rata 92% (sangat praktis) dan keefektifan diperoleh rata-rata nilai observasi 97 (tinggi), N-gain respons motivasi 0,90 (tinggi) dan N-gain hasil belajar kognitif 0,80 (tinggi) (sangat efektif). Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian ini dinyatakan valid, praktis dan efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Media audio visual mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa karena melibatkan indera penglihatan dan pendengaran secara bersamaan. Abstract

Educational demands that must be met in the 21st century are mastery of 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Collaborative, Creativity, and Communicative) and centered on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). One of the HOTS is the ability to think critically. These critical thinking skills can be realized by applying the right learning approach with the support of appropriate learning media, including through a scientific approach. The goal of this research is to create an e-book based on a scientific approach to train critical thinking skills on the structure and function of plant tissues that are valid, practical, and effective. This study used a 4D development model, which included define, design, develop, and disseminate. The methods used to collect data are questionnaires, readability, pretest and posttest, and observation. Data analysis was performed using a quantitative descriptive technique. The e-book's validity was obtained by the assessment of three validators, resulting in a percentage of 97.50% in the very valid category. The practicality of the e-book was obtained by the results of student responses resulting in a percentage of 94.80% in the very practical category, and the readability test using a fry chart was at level 11. The effectiveness of the e-book was obtained by the results of the students' pretest and posttest gain scores resulting in an average of 0.72 in the high category, and the results of observations obtained a score of 3.80 in the very good category. Therefore, the developed e-book is declared valid, practical, and effective for use in learning. Abstract

Abstract Scientific literacy is the ability of a person to apply his knowledge to identify questions, construct new knowledge, provide scientific explanations, and develop a reflective mindset so that he can participate in overcoming science-related issues and ideas. Biological material that has the learning potential to train science literacy is membrane transport. The objective of this study is to create a membrane transport Eworksheet that is reliable, useful, and efficient for teaching scientific literacy and enhancing classroom instruction. A 4-D model research design was used to create the e-worksheet (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) without the Disseminate stage. A total of 30 students from class XI of science 3 took part in the trial. The parameter of this study is the validity of expert validation results, the applicability of student replies, and the efficacy of learning outcomes and scientific literacy abilities. The results showed that the validity of the developed E-worksheet received a percentage score of 97% and was included in the very decent category. The practicality of E-worksheet based on student responses obtained results of 96.65% included in the very practical category. The effectiveness reviewed based on the completeness of learning outcomes obtained results of 100% included in the very effective category and the achievement of science literacy indicators of 88.64%. These findings allow for the declaration that the E-worksheet is valid, practical, and effective.Keywords: E-worksheet, scientific literacy, membrane transport.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to produce an E-Worksheet based on guided inquiry of environmental change material to train students' science process skills that are theoretically and practically valid. This research used the 4-D development model; define, design, develop, and disseminate, but without the dissemination stage. The parameters in this study were the validity of the e-worksheet based on the validation results and the implementation of students' e-worksheet in terms of activity observation results and student responses. The targets or objects used in this study were 25 students of class X-14 SMA Al-Islam Krian. The research was conducted in December 2022 – June 2023. The research instruments used validation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and response questionnaire sheets. Data collection techniques were validation techniques, observation techniques, and questionnaire methods. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively descriptively. The results showed that the e-worksheet was declared very valid, with a validity score of 3.8 based on theoretical validity. The implementation of the e-worksheet developed in terms of the results of student activities got a percentage score of 100% with a very good category. The results of students' responses to the e-worksheet were very positive, with a percentage score of 98.7%. Based on these results, the e-worksheet developed was valid and feasible. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D tanpa dilakukan tahap dissemination. Parameter yang diteliti meliputi validitas E-LKPD berdasarkan hasil validasi dan keterlaksanaan E-LKPD ditinjau dari aktivitas dan respon peserta didik. Sasaran atau objek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu 25 peserta didik kelas X-14 SMA Al-Islam Krian. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2022 - Juni 2023. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi, lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik dan lembar angket respon. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik validasi, teknik observasi, dan metode angket. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD dinyatakan valid dengan skor validitas 3,8 kategori sangat valid. Keterlaksanaan E-LKPD yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari aktivitas peserta didik sebesar 100% kategori sangat baik, dan respon peserta didik terhadap E-LKPD sangat positif sebesar 98,7%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD valid dan layak untuk diterapkan. Kata kunci : E-LKPD, Inkuiri terbimbing, Keterampilan proses sains, Perubahan lingkungan

Abstract

The worksheet that common used in schools only refers to cognitive assessment, especially at SMAN 2 Lamongan. In the independent learning curriculum, it is not enough to only required knowledge and attitude competencies, but skill competencies. Therefore, alternative learning that can solve the problem is learning by applying Contextual Teaching Learning-based worksheets to train students science process skills in Ecosystem material for grade X SMAN 2 Lamongan, which is adapted from the worksheet developed by Rosa (2020). This study aims to describe 1) the implementation of learning, 2) students science process skills, and 3) student responses. This research is a type of pre-experimental design research. The research target is 116 students of grade X SMAN 2 Lamongan. The parameters measured were 1) the implementation of learning, 2) students science process skills, and 3) student responses. The research data were analyzed according to the descriptive quantitative analysis method. The results showed 1) the implementation of learning carried out by the teacher was very good, 99.44%, 2) 93.75% of students had carried out science process skills very well and achieved completeness indicators, 3) student responses to worksheets were 97.22 % or very positive.

Abstract

The era of the 21st century is the era where information in digital form can be spread easily so that digital literacy is one of the skills that needs to be trained. The purpose of this research is to produce an interactive e-book on plant growth and development material to train student's digital literacy skills that are valid, practical and effective. This research refers to the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The validity of the interactive e-book was obtained from the validation of two expert biology lecturers. The practicality of the e-book was obtained from a readability test using Fry's formulas and graphs as well as a response questionnaire students. The effectiveness of the interactive e-book was obtained from the calculation of N-gain pretest and posttest results from 16 heterogeneous students in class XII at SMA Negeri 1 Bojonegoro. Data validity, practicality and effectiveness were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of the validity show an average overall score of 97.50% with a very valid category. The practicality of the interactive e-book that was developed received an average response from students of 98.82% in a very positive category and the readability test level from the fry chart showed level 12. The N-gain of pretest-posttest score average is 0.71 in the high category and the interpretation of the average value of each component of digital literacy is in the medium to high category.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas karena untuk memenuhi standar kelulusan di Kurikulum Merdeka pada materi fungi (keanekaragaman dan peranannya) sesuai capaian pembelajaran (fase E). Namun kenyataannya, keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih lemah. Berdasarkan penyebaran angket diketahui bahwa materi Fungi memiliki cakupan materi luas dan cara pengajarannya kurang diajak praktikum. Dengan demikian, solusi atas permasalahan tersebut yaitu membuat e-book ispring interaktif berbasis inkuiri terbimbing guna membantu melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan e-book ispring interaktif yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Parameter penelitian ini yaitu validitas e-book yang ditelaah oleh 2 dosen ahli dan 1 guru biologi SMA, kepraktisan e-book dinilai berdasarkan aspek keterbacaan dan angket respon, serta keefektifan e-book dinilai dari hasil belajar untuk mengukur ketercapaian keterampilan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi e-book mendapatkan persentase sebesar 89,5% (sangat valid). Hasil keterbacaan e-book tersebut memperoleh level keterbacaan yaitu level 10 dan persentase angket respon sebesar 97,5% (sangat praktis). E-book dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik yang memperoleh nilai rata-rata yakni 84,1 (tuntas). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book ispring interaktif layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
