Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students and the lack of use of interactive learning media that can increase active involvement in the learning process. To overcome these problems, educational game-based learning media Wordwall is used as a fun, challenging, and interesting alternative. This study aims to determine the effect of using Wordwall media on students' critical thinking skills. The research was conducted at SMK Farida Adz-Dzikra Situbondo involving 30 class X TKJ students as respondents. The approach used was quantitative with a survey method, and data collection was carried out through questionnaires based on critical thinking indicators. Data analysis included validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and simple linear regression tests. The results showed that all statements in the questionnaire were valid and reliable with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.853. The data was normally distributed and had a linear relationship. Hypothesis testing showed that the use of Wordwall media had a positive and significant effect on students' critical thinking skills with a significance value <0.05. The implication is that the use of Wordwall media has proven effective as an interactive learning tool to improve students' critical thinking skills in learning.

Abstract

Manual determination of betel nut ripeness often takes a long time and depends on the subjectivity of the observer, so the results are inconsistent. This study aims to improve the accuracy of betel nut ripeness classification by optimizing the K parameter in the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm. The research process begins with the collection of 200 betel nut images that go through a preprocessing stage in the form of resizing, segmentation, and normalization. Furthermore, color feature extraction is carried out from the RGB and HSV models and texture features using the Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) method. The dataset is divided into training data and test data, then the K value is tested between 1 and 20 using the cross-validation technique. The test results show that the K value = 3 provides the highest accuracy of 85% with fairly balanced predictions in the raw, ripe, and old categories. These findings prove that selecting the appropriate K value can improve classification performance, while opening up opportunities for the application of an automated system to help farmers and industry players in determining the ripeness of betel nuts more quickly, accurately, and consistently.

Abstract

The rise of digital technology has driven the Indonesian government to implement Digital Population Identity (IKD) as a solution to enhance public services. However, user reviews on Google Play Store show diverse responses, requiring sentiment analysis to understand public perception. This study aims to improve sentiment classification accuracy on IKD app reviews using the Naïve Bayes algorithm optimized with Information Gain feature selection. The dataset consists of 1,000 Indonesian-language reviews manually labeled and preprocessed using text cleaning and TF-IDF feature representation. To address class imbalance, the SMOTE technique was applied. Experiments were conducted by comparing models without feature selection and balancing against those using Information Gain and SMOTE. Results indicate that the combination of Information Gain and SMOTE significantly enhances model performance, achieving 68,5% accuracy and 53,0% positive F1-Score. These findings confirm that Information Gain is effective in improving sentiment classification efficiency and accuracy. This study provides valuable insights for developing strategies to improve digital service quality. Kata kunci: Analisis Sentimen, Information Gain, Naïve Bayes, Seleksi Fitur, SMOTE.

Abstract

E-archive is an implementation of information technology in managing and storing archives electronically. In this digital era, e-archive is an effective solution to overcome challenges in conventional archive management that tends to take up space and time. PT. PLN ULP Medan Sunggal is one of the companies that has many archives and is stored in the AIL (Master Subscription Archive) room in searching for its archives often takes a long time, so an innovative solution is needed that facilitates searching for AIL data quickly and accurately. Therefore, the E-Archive Information System at PT. PLN ULP Medan Sunggal based on Mobile-Based Area classification is an innovative solution to manage and store electronic archives efficiently and effectively, where e-archive users can view data based on the searched area classification based on sub-district data within the scope of the PT. PLN ULP Medan Sunggal work area.

Abstract

Abstract. This research was conducted at PT. Yamatogomu Indonesia with a focus on the I49 Injection machine that experienced high downtime. The objective of the research was to analyze the causes of machine failure and design an appropriate maintenance strategy. The method used was Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) supported by Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Logic Tree Analysis (LTA). The FMEA results identified five main failure modes with a total Risk Priority Number (RPN) value of 702. The top three modes, namely no heat or excessive heat, no vacuum motor pressure gauge indicator, and compound puller motor malfunction, contributed 76% of the total risk. Based on LTA, all failure modes were classified as evident and did not have a direct impact on safety, but could disrupt operations. The maintenance strategies implemented consisted of Condition Directed (CD), Time Directed (TD), and Failure Finding (FF), with the majority of actions (60%) being CD. These results can be the basis for developing a more effective maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and increase production efficiency.

Abstract

Abstract. The increasing demand for eco-friendly and recyclable materials has driven the development of natural fiber-based composite materials. This study aims to analyze the effect of volume fraction variation on the mechanical properties of hybrid composites made from coconut coir fiber and banana stem fiber with an epoxy matrix. The research employed an experimental method with variations of fiber volume fractions at 40%, 30%, and 20%, and mechanical testing including tensile, bending, and impact tests based on ASTM standards. The results showed that the highest tensile strength was achieved by the composite with a 60% matrix and 40% fiber volume fraction, reaching 21.16 MPa. Meanwhile, the highest bending strength and impact resistance were obtained by the composite with an 80% matrix and 20% fiber volume fraction, at 49.46 MPa and 0.00837 Joule/mm², respectively. Increasing the fiber content tends to enhance tensile strength but reduces bending strength and impact resistance due to uneven resin distribution and the formation of voids. This hybrid composite has potential as an environmentally friendly material alternative with competitive mechanical properties.

Abstract

Abstract. The increasing need for environmentally friendly materials encourages research on natural fiber-based composites. This study aims to characterize the physical and mechanical properties of hybrid composites of banana leaf fibers, fiberglass, and epoxy, as an alternative automotive material. The manufacturing process used the hand lay-up method with variations in the volume fraction of banana frond fiber, fiberglass and epoxy (10%; 20%; 70%), (15%; 15%; 70%), (20%; 10%; 70%).And used Experimental Research for Experiment Method. Tests include tensile (ASTM D-3039), impact (ASTM D-5924), and bending (ASTM D-790) tests. Results showed the highest tensile strength at 20% banana leaf fraction reached 38.78 MPa, exceeding the SAE J 1717 standard for car bumper applications. However, increasing the banana leaf fiber decreased the impact strength due to uneven fiber distribution. The highest bending strength was recorded at 69.648 MPa at a balanced fraction of 15% banana fronds and fiberglass. This study indicates the potential of banana leaf fiber hybrid composites as an environmentally friendly alternative material in the automotive industry.

Abstract

The growing demand for lightweight, strong, and eco-friendly materials has encouraged the development of natural fiber-reinforced composites. This study investigates the mechanical properties of hybrid composites made from coconut coir fiber, fiberglass, and epoxy resin. The aim is to evaluate the effect of different fiber volume fractions on the tensile, impact, and flexural strength of the material. Specimens were fabricated using the hand lay-up method with three fiber volume variations: A (10% coir, 20% fiberglass), B (15%:15%), and C (20%:10%), with epoxy matrix fixed at 70%. Mechanical tests followed ASTM D-3039, D-5924, and D-790 standards. The results revealed that Fraction C exhibited the best performance with tensile strength of 25.52 MPa, impact energy of 11.18 J/m², and flexural strength of 71.86 MPa. These values are comparable to or exceed the minimum requirements for helmet shell materials as specified by SNI 1811-2007. Therefore, this hybrid composite shows great potential as an alternative protective material for motorcycle helmets while adding value to local biomass waste.

Abstract

  This study aims to identify factors that influence student satisfaction with SIA performance. The research method uses a quantitative method with data collection using a questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale. The results of the study explain that the validity test on 16 statements is declared valid because the tCount value> tTable. The results of the reliability test on the statements in the questionnaire test with a Likert scale obtained a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.813. These results indicate that it is reliable because 0.813> 0.6. The results of the calculation of the mean of each attribute or variable are at most 13.8, 14.5, 16, 14.8, and 13.4. This result shows that it is reliable because 0.813 > 0.6. The calculation results of the mean of each attribute or variable are at most 13.8, 14.5, 16, 14.8, and 13.4. The calculation of the mean of the attribute or variable of information quality is at most 4.75, the calculation of the mean of the attribute or variable of system quality is at most 5 and 4.75, the calculation of the mean of the attribute or variable of service quality is at most 5, 4.25 and 4.75, the calculation of the mean of the attribute or variable of academic information system performance is at most 5, 4.33 and 4.67, the calculation of the mean of the attribute or variable of student satisfaction level is at most 4 and 5. The calculation of the Weighted Satisfaction Score (WSS) of student satisfaction is the most, namely 80, 75, 52, and 70. The results of the calculation of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) vlue obtained the most values, namely 87, 107, 100, and 75.

Abstract

STKIP PGRI Situbondo is a higher education institution that frequently encounters various problems in the inventory process of facilities and infrastructure. These problems include data inconsistencies between records and field conditions, manual recording using books, asset tracking that requires direct inspection, and time-consuming reporting that demands significant resource allocation. This situation arises due to the lack of implementation of an integrated digital system. This research aims to design and develop a web-based inventory control system capable of facilitating the recording, tracking, and reporting of inventory processes effectively and efficiently. The system development was conducted by implementing the RAD development model through James Martin's approach, which encompasses the stages of requirement planning, user design, construction, and cutover. The research findings indicate that the developed inventory control system application can facilitate inventory activities at STKIP PGRI Situbondo and is feasible for implementation to support campus facilities and infrastructure management.
