Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to improve the reading literacy of grade X students of MA Sabilal Muhtadin in the Fiqh subject through the application of interactive learning media based on Canva and how to apply it. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a two-cycle model that includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study show that the use of Canva increases students' active participation and understanding of fiqh material, especially in the chapters of Milkiyah and Buying and Selling. Data were obtained through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Important findings show an increase in the average reading literacy of students from the category of "less improved" in cycle I (79%) to "very improved" in cycle II (93%). The conclusion of this study is that Canva media can effectively be used as a creative solution to improve reading literacy, creating a more interesting learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Abstract. Sleep disorders are health problems that often arise due to unhealthy lifestyle patterns and are often overlooked for their impact. This study aims to help detect the risk of sleep disorders using the Naive Bayes algorithm. Data were collected through interviews and examinations, then processed with preprocessing and testing data and achieved a classification accuracy of 88.6% for three categories: Normal, Insomnia, and Sleep Apnea. These results support the application of the Naive Bayes algorithm as a supportive diagnostic method based on lifestyle factors. This finding is also expected to serve as a basis for providing lifestyle improvement recommendations to prevent the risk pf sleep disorders.

Abstract

Abstract. Waste is a growing environmental problem, especially if it is not managed properly starting from the sorting process. One effort to improve the effectiveness of waste management is through automatic identification of waste types. This study aims to implement the Random Forest algorithm in the process of classifying waste into two categories: organic and non-organic waste. The data used are waste images that have gone through the preprocessing stage and the extraction of color and texture features. The Random Forest model was chosen because it has advantages in handling diverse data and providing stable classification results. Test results show that this model is capable of classifying with a fairly good level of accuracy, with the highest accuracy of 87% on the test data. In addition, this model is also integrated into a mobile application to facilitate users in identifying waste types in real-time. This implementation is expected to help the community sort waste more efficiently and contribute to sustainable environmental management.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to develop an automatic reminder system for undergraduate thesis guidance schedules based on web using the Fonnte WhatsApp API. Students often forget their scheduled guidance, so a system is needed to automatically send notifications. The system is built using PHP programming language and MySQL database. Notifications are sent to students' WhatsApp on D-1 and D-day through the Fonnte API. Testing was carried out with latency and response time parameters. The results show the system has an average latency of 265 ms and response time of 62 ms, with effectiveness of 163.5 ms categorized as quite effective. This system is proven to help students be more disciplined in the guidance process.

Abstract

Abstract. Pig farming plays a significant role in enhancing economic value, particularly in pork production. However, pigs are highly susceptible to viral infections such as Hog Cholera or Classical Swine Fever (CSF), Swine Pox, and African Swine Fever (ASF), which have high transmission and mortality rates. The limited availability of veterinary personnel and the difficulty of early diagnosis pose serious challenges for farmers. This study aims to develop a web-based expert system utilizing the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method to diagnose viral infections in pigs based on clinical symptoms. The system is designed to assist farmers in accurately identifying the type of virus and providing appropriate preventive solutions. The test results show that the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method can deliver accurate and field-relevant diagnoses. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method is effective in developing expert systems for diagnosing viral diseases in pigs.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning motivation among vocational high school students, particularly in productive subjects that require technological understanding. With the advancement of educational digitalization, interactive learning media such as Google Sites has emerged as an innovative solution. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of using Google Sites-based interactive learning media on students’ learning motivation. A quantitative approach was applied using a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 tenth-grade TKJ students at SMK Farida Adz Dzikraa. The research instrument was a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis showed an increase in students’ learning motivation after the implementation of Google Sites. The use of this media effectively enhanced students’ attention, interest, and active participation in learning activities. The implication of this study highlights the importance of integrating digital media into the teaching and learning process to create engaging, adaptive, and learner-centered instruction suitable for today’s digital generation.

Abstract

Abstract. Brake pads are a crucial component of brake parts, especially for motor vehicles. Regulations restricting the use of asbestos have prompted researchers to seek alternatives. In this study, brake pads will be made using biomass waste from sawdust obtained from the activities of furniture MSMEs in the Bangkinang area, Kampar, Riau. The utilization of this biomass waste is intended to minimize waste volume and provide an alternative raw material and production process for brake pads that are low-cost and abundantly available. In this study, brake pads are made with a mixture of sawdust filler matrix and epoxy resin reinforcement matrix. Next, the brake pad samples will be tested for physical characteristics in the form of density and water absorption. Mechanical strength is tested through a bending test using the Universal testing test. Brake pad performance will be tested through wear test values. The results of the test on physical and mechanical properties obtained a density of 0.73 g/cm3, a maximum bending load of 452.67 N, a flexural strength of 187.97 MPa, and an elastic modulus of 184.69 MPa. The physical characteristics of this composite show that sawdust can be an alternative raw material for brake pads that is cheap and abundantly available, thus supporting environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to design and develop an efficient web-based library information system at STKIP PGRI Situbondo using the Laravel framework. This system is designed to replace the manual library management method currently in use, which causes inefficiency in recording, borrowing, returning books, and reporting. This study adopts the Extreme Programming (XP) software development method, which enables the development of a more flexible, fast, and responsive system to user needs. With this approach, each development phase is carried out iteratively, allowing for system improvements based on user feedback at each stage. The developed system includes key features such as book collection management, borrowing, returning books, and generating more accurate and easily accessible reports. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of this web-based information system has successfully improved the efficiency of library data management, reduced the potential for human error, and accelerated the book borrowing and returning process. In addition, this system also improves user satisfaction, both among students and library administrators, by providing a user-friendly and responsive interface. The implications of this research are improved library service quality that supports the development of digital literacy culture on campus and better administrative efficiency at STKIP PGRI Situbondo.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to implement a digital attendance system using QR Code through the Scan IT to Office application and Google Spreadsheet to improve attendance recording effectiveness for class X TKJ at SMK Farida Adz-Dzikraa. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with observation, interviews, and documentation. Results show the system reduces attendance time from 10–15 minutes to 2–3 minutes and minimizes errors and fraud. Students and teachers responded positively due to its speed, accuracy, and real-time access. The main challenge is internet dependency. The system is considered effective in supporting school administration and enhancing student discipline. This study is expected to serve as a reference for similar system development in other schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of digital attendance using AppSheet and its impact on student discipline at MA Sabilal Muhtadin. The background of this research is based on the issue of low student discipline, particularly in attendance, which is often not accurately recorded in manual systems. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that AppSheet-based digital attendance simplifies the attendance recording process, reduces fraud, and improves student discipline. Teachers can monitor data in real-time, making the evaluation process faster and more accurate. Moreover, the use of this system also increases students’ sense of responsibility for their attendance at school. Therefore, the implementation of AppSheet has proven effective in promoting a culture of discipline in the school environment and can serve as an alternative solution for technology-based attendance management.
