This study is classroom action research study that aims to increase activity and study results of Integrated Scienceof student by using Treffinger model with audio visual media on ecosystem material of Class VII Student at SMP Frater Makassar.Data collection used in this study was observation and achievement test in the end of every cycle. Analytical data by using descriptive statistical analysis include the frequency tables and percentages.The results of this study indicate that: Treffingermodel with audio visual media showeda positive tendency from 14 students with 37,83% in cycle I and improve to 32 students with 86,48% in cycle II and showed a positive tendency on student’s activity in study. Student’s activity in Integrated Scienceshoweda positive tendency with successive result 50,15% in cycle I and 80,05% in cycle II.The results of this study indicate that Treffingermodel with audio visual media can increase study results of Integrated Science on ecosystem material of Class VII Student atSMP Frater Makassar.

The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and effectiveness of visual flash media card on the material living creatures interaction with the environment that will be developed. Research development refers to the steps of learning development model of Plomp which consists of five stages: stage a preliminary investigation (preliminary investigation), stage design (design), the realization phase of construction (realization of construction), the stage of the test, evaluation and revision (test, evaluation and revition) and the implementation phase (implementation). The resulting product is a visual media flash card. The research instrumen used is divided into two, namely the validity of the instrumen that includes sheets of flash card validation visual media and the effectiveness of the instrumen includes questionnaire responses of learners and the learning outcomes test. Subjects in this study are students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Palangga the academic year 2015/2016 as many as 43 people. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and learning outcomes test. Analysis validation of visual media flash card by two validators were obtained an average yield of 4, which means valid. Based on the analysis of questionnaire responses of learners with a result 86% of students stated that visual media flash card either once used in the learning process. Based on the test of learning outcomes of students grade VII obtained results that 40 students achieve mastery value of 70 with a percentage 93%. Based on the result it can be concluded that the visual media flash card effective to be used in science learning for material interaction between living creatures with their environment.

This type of research is pre-experiment that aims to find out: (1) the level of science learning outcomes of students grade VII secondary School 1 Suli taught using integrated learning model connected (2) percentage of mastery science learning of students taught using integrated learning model connected. The research design used was One Group Pretest –Posttest Design. The independen variable in this study is integrated learning model connected and the dependen variable is science learning outcomes. The participans in this research are 27 students grade VII1. The data obtained by giving the test on environmental pollution matter in the form of pretest and posttest. The instrument used was multiple choice question with 20 items that had been validated by experts. The descriptive analysis shows that the N-gain average of students results 0.6 at middle category. The percentage of this N-gain score level are 52% for high, 48% for middle, 0% for low. Further, the percentage of mastery of science learning shows 81.4% students upper standar minimum. Based on this results it can be concluded that using integrated learning model connected can improve the learning outcomes.

The paper of this research is to discuss SITR mathematical model for the Spread of tuberculosis disease. Thedata used is secondary data of tuberculosis patients obtained from Public Health Office of South Sulawesi Province in 2015. The discussion starts from constructing an SITR mathematical model of tuberculosis disease, determining the equilibrium point, thenlook ing for stability analysis of equilibrium point, determining the basic reproduction value (Ro), mak ing model simulation, and interpreting them. In this paper we obtained an SITR mathematical model for tuberculosis, disease-free and endemic equilibriumpoints of the SITR model, the global stability of disease-free and endemic equilibrium from the SITR model with the basic reproduction value Ro = 1,04336331 indicates that tuberculosis disease is endemic.

This study aims: (1) to identify the main support system in the design of environment-based learning in the Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Makassar. (2) To know the utilization of environment-based learning resources in the Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Makassar. Through the Needs Assessment instrument in the form of field observation, questionnaire survey, and interviews on lecturers and students identified the problem to determine the appropriate action for the next stage, so that the learning design willbe the best solution. The results obtained that (1) Jurusan Biologi UNM has two locations or major areas that are very supportive of environment-based learning with their respective characteristics. The two areas are Biology Experiment Garden and Library Discussion Platform Biology Department FMIPA UNM. (2) Some subjects have utilized environment-based learning resources in the Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNM. Solutions from the results of the identification obtained are among others; (1) Jurusan Biologi can be used as a place of learning, learning resources, and as a medium of learning in the design of environment-based learning. (2) Jurusan Biologi can be used as a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for all academic community (3) Environmental BasedLearning Design in Jurusan Biologi can be done in almost all courses by increasing the role of lecturer as a facilitator.

P. xylostella is an important pest on cabbage plants in Merauke Regency because it can cause serious damage to cabbage plants at the start of planting. Severe attacks can damage the growing points of the cabbage plants, preventing the plants from forming heads. This study aims to determine the population and intensity of attack of P. xylostella on cabbage plants in Merauke Regency. The research was carried out in Tanah Miring District and Merauke District, Merauke Regency, Papua Province in September-December 2020. Observations were made on cabbage plantations that were two weeks old after being 2 transplanted from the nursery, then 10 plots were determined. Observations were made six times in the morning with one week intervals. The highest population average of 1.11 individuals was found in 6 WAP and the lowest population was in 1 MST of 0.11 individuals. The highest average damage was found at the 6 MST observation time of 59.17%, while the light damage was found at 1 MST of 8.33%. This shows that the low population of P. xylostella can cause damage to up to 8.33% of cabbage plants. The percentage of attack by P. Xylostella on cabbage in Tanah Miring District was 43.7%, while in Merauke District it was 15.5%. The high attack in Tanah Miring District is due to the availability of host plants throughout the growing season.

This research is a quantitative research which aim to determine the effect of Treffinger learning model on mathematical concept understanding of grade XI MIPA students in senior high school. Population of the research is grade XI MIPA students in one of national school in Majene. One of the class chosen as sample by using cluster random sampling. The data analyzed by descriptive analysis and inferential analysis techniques. Results of descriptive analysis are: (1) students’ average score of pretest in low category and students’ average score of posttest in high category, (2) normalized gain’s average score in medium category. Results of the inferential analysis are: (1) students’ posttest score significantly pass the minimum completeness score; (2) there is significant increasing in mathematical concept understanding test after the application of Treffinge learning model; (3)Amount of students that reach the minimum score of test significantly pass the presentation of learning completeness criteria. Based on the research result we can conclude that the implementation of Treffinger learning model give an effect on mathematical concept understanding in the topic sequence and seriesof grade XI MIPA students in senior high school.

Queuing is a common thing in everyday life and can be found in the manufacturing sector as well as in the service sector.No exception at the agency or government office.ULP (Passport Service Unit) The First Class Immigration Office of Makassar City is a technical implementing unit performing the functions of the Directorate General of Immigration in a certain region or city providing services in the field of mmigration.This study aims to determine the queuing model applied to the Passport Service Unit of the First Class Immigration Office of Makassar City and find out whether the level of service provided is optimal.In the analysis process used manual calculation and supportby software POM for Windows 3.Based on analysis of data obtained after the study, modela queues applied to ULP (Unit Passport Service) Class I Immigration Office of Makassar is the (M/M/S):(FCFS/∞/∞).Queue system at Passport Service Unit First Class Immigration of the Office of Makassar City can be said to be normal on a typical day, because it has met the old standard of service time.So that the system applied is optimal.

According to Purwanto (2018), research instruments are tools used to collect data in research. The purpose of this study was to test a valid, consistent and reliable critical thinking instrument. In this study, critical thinking consists of five constructs, namely: (1) giving a simple explanation; (2) developing basic skills; (3) summarizing; (4) giving a more detailed explanation; and (5) deciding on the next strategy. The study was designed as a survey research with 50 respondents, consisting of 3 experts/lecturers, 5 teachers and 42 students selected through stratified and random sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using SPSS Version 23.00 for Windows to test internal consistency using Cronbach Alpha. The results showed that all items in the questionnaire were valid and reliable. The average Cronbach alpha reliability score is high (0.897 > 0.6) and each statement has a high score (0.784 to 0.890). Therefore, these figures indicate that this study has developed a critical thinking instrument.

The aim of this research was to know the difference of ethanol extract and extract of ethyl acetate of pepper leaf (Piper nigrum L) to antimicrobial activity of Staphylococcua aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. The maceration method has been used to extract the pepper leaf by using two solvents ie 70% ethanol and ethyl acetate. The extract results were then tested for antimicrobial activity. The result of pepper ethanol extract obtainedby the higher yield was 24,64% compared with ethyl acetate extract 9,18%. Leaf pepper ethanol extract had higher antimicrobial activity than pepper acetate leaves extract against Staphylococcua aureus, and Escherichia coli but did not inhibit Candida albicans fungi at concentration of 10%
