Abstract

Abstract: This paper presented a new method in learning styles. This study focused on the learning styles studied by a group of researchers and obtained an insight into the most important styles. Through these styles, new learning styles have been formulated to give a broader base for researchers in the field of smart education to build educational systems that are able to deliver the educational subject to students better and faster.Key Words: style, smart, model, learner, visualAbstrak: Studi ini menyajikan metode baru dalam gaya belajar. Studi berfokus pada gaya belajar yang dipelajari oleh sekelompok peneliti dan memperoleh wawasan tentang gaya belajar yang paling penting. Melalui gaya-gaya tersebut, gaya belajar baru telah dirumuskan untuk memberikan dasar yang lebih luas bagi para peneliti di bidang pendidikan cerdas untuk membangun sistem pendidikan yang mampu memberikan pelajaran pendidikan kepada siswa dengan lebih baik dan cepat.Kata kunci: gaya, cerdas, model, pebelajar, visual

Abstract

Abstract: Spatial literacy is one's understanding of spatial objects and relationships. Spatial literacy has visualization, reasoning, and communication domains. Learning style is one of the factors causing differences in students' spatial literacy. This study tries to investigate the spatial literacy of auditory students in solving spatial geometry problems. This type of research is a case study in one student of class XI MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Taman Sidoarjo with a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that for each problem-solving step, students differ in achieving the indicators in each domain of spatial literacy. The student achieves all indicators in the visualization and reasoning domains. However, in the communication domain student do not achieve one indicator.Abstrak: Literasi spasial merupakan pemahaman seseorang tentang objek dan hubungan spasial. Literasi spasial memiliki domain visualisasi, penalaran, dan komunikasi. Gaya belajar merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab perbedaan literasi spasial siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki literasi spasial siswa auditori dalam memecahkan masalah geometri ruang. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu studi kasus pada satu siswa kelas XI MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Taman Sidoarjo dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setiap tahap pemecahan masalah, siswa berbeda dalam memenuhi indikator pada setiap domain literasi spasial. Siswa memenuhi semua indikator pada domain visualisasi dan penalaran. Tetapi, pada domain komunikasi, siswa tidak memenuhi satu indikator.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the level of scientific, information literacy, and determine the relationship of scientific and information literacy. This quantitative descriptive survey has a sample of 145 high school students, selected by random sampling. Scientific and information literacy instruments have been validated by the experts and tested on 25 students who have studied Bacteria. The majority of scientific and information literacy are at the developing level. There is a positive relationship between scientific and information literacy for high school students. Based on these results, efforts are needed to empower scientific and information literacy for high school students by applying innovative learning models.Key Words: scientific literacy; information literacy; high school studentsAbstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat literasi sains, literasi informasi, dan mengetahui hubungan literasi sains dan literasi informasi. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif survei ini mengambil sampel 145 siswa SMA yang dipilih dengan random sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan instrumen literasi sains dan literasi informasi yang telah divalidasi oleh validator dan diujikan pada 25 siswa yang telah mempelajari materi Bakteri. Mayoritas literasi sains dan literasi informasi berada pada tingkat developing. Terdapat hubungan positif antara literasi sains dan literasi informasi siswa SMA. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diperlukan upaya peningkatan literasi sains dan literasi informasi siswa SMA misalnya dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inovatif.Kata kunci: literasi ilmiah; literasi informasi; siswa SMA

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine whether there were differences in student learning outcomes between learning using scaffolding and none. It also to find whether there were differences in Science Process Skills of students between learning to use scaffolding and none. The research subjects were 72 students of XI_A_ 1 and XI_A_3. It was found that (1) There are differences in HBK between both classes The experiment class had higher learning outcomes (86) than others (79); and (2) There are differences in KPS between both classes. The experiment class had higher learning outcomes (83.3) compared to others (78.5).Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara belajar menggunakan perancah dan tidak ada. Ini juga untuk menemukan apakah ada perbedaan Keterampilan Proses Sains siswa antara belajar menggunakan perancah dan tidak ada. Subjek penelitian adalah 72 siswa XI_A_ 1 dan XI_A_3. Ditemukan bahwa, (1) Ada perbedaan dalam HBK antara kedua kelas. Kelas eksperimen memiliki hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi (86) daripada yang lain (79); dan (2) Ada perbedaan dalam KPS antara kedua kelas. Kelas eksperimen memiliki hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi (83,3) dibandingkan dengan yang lain (78,5)

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the influence of RICOSRE (Reading, Identfying problem, Constructing Solution, Solving Problem, Reviewing Problem Solving, and Extending Problem Solving) learning model toward X grade students’ Biology problem solving in two high school. This type of research is quasi experiment research. The sample used is the students in three classes each schools that is determined by cluster random sampling. The research data collected by pretest and posttest score. Data analysis using two way ancova and then continued with LSD 5%. The research result indicate RICOSRE learning model significantly influenced the X grade students’ problem solving with a corrected average of problem solving achievement is 87,83%.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RICOSRE (Reading, Identfying problem, Constructing Solution, Solving Problem,Reviewing Problem Solving, and Extending Problem Solving) terhadap keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa Kelas X MIPA di dua SMA. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan ialah siswa pada masing-masing tiga kelas di setiap sekolah yang ditentukan secara cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji two way ancova kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut LSD 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran RICOSRE terhadap keterampilan memecah-kan masalah siswa. Siswa mengalami peningkatan keterampilan memecahkan masalah sebesar 87,83%.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze students' misconceptions about shifts in chemical equilibrium by using a two-tier multiple choices diagnostic test based on multiple representations. The design of this study is descriptive. The research subjects were second-semester students of Chemistry Department A, B, and I classes in Malang State University in 2018/2019 Academic Year totaling 60 students. The reliability of the diagnostic test is 0.86. The results showed that students' misconceptions of the factors affecting chemical equilibrium shifts identified 9 misconceptions with an average percentage of misconceptions below 30%. Misconceptions also often occur in students when associated with submicroscopic representation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis miskonsepsi mahasiswa tentang  pergeseran kesetimbangan kimia dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik two-tier multiple choice berbasis multipel representasi. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 2 Jurusan Kimia kelas A, B dan I Universitas Negeri Malang Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 60 mahasiswa. Reliabilitas tes diagnostik sebesar 0,86. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa miskonsepsi mahasiswa pada faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pergeseran kesetimbangan kimia teridentifikasi 9 miskonsepsi dengan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi dibawah 30%. Miskonsepsi juga sering terjadi pada mahasiswa apabila dikaitkan dengan representasi submikroskopik

Abstract

Abstract: Empowering communication skills can be done through an implementation of appropriate learning models. Remap-NHT could potentially improve communication skills through syntax of reading, concept mapping, and discussion. This study aims to determine the influence of Remap-NHT on communication skills conducted in August-December 2019. Samples amounted are 100 students from three classes of XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Malang, each of which has been discussed with Remap-NHT, NHT, and control. Data were analysed using Oneway-Ancova which previously carried out One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Levene's Test of Equality of Error Variances. The results showed that Remap-NHT significantly improved communication skills compared to NHT and control.Abstrak: Pemberdayaan keterampilan komunikasi dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Model pembelajaran Remap-NHT berpotensi meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi melalui sintaks membaca, membuat peta konsep, dan diskusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Remap-NHT terhadap keterampilan komunikasi yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-Desember 2019. Sampel berjumlah 100 siswa dari tiga kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Malang yang masing-masing dibelajarkan dengan Remap-NHT, NHT, dan kontrol. Data dianalisis menggunakan Oneway-Ancova yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test dan Levene’s Test of Equality of Error Variances. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of implementation of OE3R Strategy on lecturing Fundamental of Analytical Chemistry are to determine differences in students’ conceptual understanding achievements. This researchidesigniusingiaiQuasi-experimental (one group pre-test-post-test) with different treatment for both groups. The Experimental Group learns using OE3R Strategy, then the Control Group using the conventional strategy. The subject of research was a student in Fundamental of Analytical Chemistry courses in the Chemistry Department State University of Malang. The result shows that inquiry-based learning with OE3R Strategy as innovation learning effective to make differences of students’ conceptual understanding achievements on Fundamental of Analytical Chemistry courses.Abstrak: Implementasiistrategi OE3R pada matakuliahiDasar-dasar KimiaiAnalitik bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil penguasaanikonsep mahasiswa. Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to analyze the potential of the RICOSRE learning model in improving students' scientific reasoning abilities on different academic abilities. This research is a quasi-experimental research. SMAN 1 Malang and SMAN 7 Malang became a place of research with a sample of 188 students. The research design is Noneqivalent pretest - posttest control desaign group. Research data in the form of the acquisition of essay test scores. Essay test results were analyzed using anacova. Based on the research result it is proved that there is a potential of the RICOSRE on students' scientific reasoning abilities on different academic abilities.Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi model pembelajaran RICOSRE dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa dengan kemampuan akademik berbeda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi-eksperimien. SMAN 1 Malang dan SMAN 7 Malang menjadi tempat penelitian dengan jumlah 188 siswa sebagai sampel. Data penelitian berupa perolehan skor tes esai. Hasil tes esai dianalisis menggunakan anakova. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui adanya potensi model pembelajaran RICOSRE terhadap kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa pada kemampuan akademik berbeda.

Abstract

The need for human resources who have knowledge and skills in the STEM fields is getting bigger. However, from the results of research by PISA, Indonesian students' scores in science, reading, and mathematics were still low. This research was conducted to develop a physics module based on STEM education for vocational high school students and to test it’s feasibility. This research adapted the Dick and Carey development research design. The data were obtained from questionnaires about the feasibility and were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. From the results of the validation and feasibility test, the module was very feasible to use.
