Abstract

Abstract: 21st century skills are not only developing individual abilities but need to increase supporting skills, one of which is collaboration skills. This study aims to see the effect of the REMAP NHT learning model on collaboration skills of class XI students in Biology subjects. The research design was quasi experiment with the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was all students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Malang and the sample was 3 out of 7 classes selected through the equivalence test. Each of the three classes is taught using the NHT Remap, NHT, and lecture methods, respectively. Collaboration skills are measured using observation sheets and the results are tested with one-way ancova. The results showed the effect of REMAP NHT learning on student collaboration skills better than students learned with NHT and lecture methods     .Abstrak: Keterampilan abad 21 bukan hanya mengembangkan kemampuan individu tetapi perlu peningkatan keterampilan penunjang di masyarakat, salah satunya adalah keterampilan berkolaborasi. Penelitian bertujuan melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran Remap NHT terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa kelas XI mata pelajaran Biologi. Desain penelitian quasi experiment dengan rancangan non equivalent pretest-posttest control group. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Malang dan sampelnya adalah 3 kelas dari 7 kelas yang dipilih melalui uji kesetaraan. Ketiga kelas masing-masing dibelajarkan dengan model Remap NHT, NHT, dan metode ceramah. Keterampilan kolaborasi diukur menggunakan lembar observasi dan hasilnya diuji dengan anakova satu jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pembelajaran Remap NHT terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mind mapping with Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) model on student’s cognitive learning outcomes (CLO) in the rate of reaction material. This study was a quasi-experimental design with a 2x2 design factorial. The results showed that: (1) there were differences in CLO for students who were learned using ADI-mind mapping and ADI in the rate of reaction material; (2) there were differences in CLO for students with high initial abilities and students who have low initial abilities learned using ADI-mind mapping and ADI in the rate of reaction material; (3) there weren’t an interaction between students initial abilities and learning models towards student’s CLO.Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh mind mapping dalam model Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif (HBK) pada materi Laju Reaksi. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian factorial 2x2 design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan HBK untuk siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model ADI-mind mapping dan ADI saja; (2) terdapat perbedaan HBK untuk siswa dengan kemampuan awal tinggi dan siswa dengan kemampuan awal rendah yang dibelajarkan dengan model ADI-mind mapping dan ADI saja; (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara kemampuan awal siswa dengan model pembelajaran terhadap HBK siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: The learning process is strived to be able to improve cognitive learning outcomes. The cognitive learning outcomes of students of  XIth class students majoring in natural sciences in city of Samarinda, are still low. Quasi-experimental studies have been conducted in XIth class majoring in natural science, odd semester of 2017/2018 academic year. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of implementation of Problem-Based Learning and Discovery Learning models on student’s cognitive learning outcomes. The study sample is students of XIth class majoring in natural sciences in 1st public senior high schools. The sampling technique is pusposive sampling. Instruments of study  are test questions. The data were analyzed using ANCOVA. The data analysis result show that the sign value is 0.00; this means 0.00 < 0.05 (p < 0.05). The conclusion is the implementation of learning models affect student’s cognitive learning outcomes. Further studies are needed by enlarging the sample to obtain more information.Abstrak: Proses pembelajaran diupayakan untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas XI jurusan ilmu pengetahuan alam di kota Samarinda masih rendah. Penelitian kuasi eksperimental ini telah dilaksanakan di kelas XI jurusan IPA semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI jurusan IPA SMA Negeri 1. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah pusposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian adalah soal tes. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan ANCOVA. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifijkansi adalah sebesar 0,00; ini berarti 0,00 < 0,05 (p < 0,05). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan memperbesar sampel untuk mendapatkan informasi lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Abstract: This aims of the study to compare the cognitive learning outcomes of students who learned with Argument Driven Inquiry-Scaffolding (ADI-S) and Driven Argument Inquiry (ADI) with different scientific reasoning abilities. This research is a quasy experimental design. The instruments were used cognitive learning outcomes test and the test of scientific reasoning abilities. Data were analyzed using two way ANCOVA (2x2 factorial). The results showed: (1) learned with ADI-S on the reaction rate material get cognitive learning outcomes higher than learned with ADI, (2) student with high scientific reasoning abilities have better cognitive learning outcomes rather student with low scientific reasoning abilities both in ADI-S’s class and ADI’s class.Key Words: ADI; ADI-S; scientific reasoning abilities; cognitive learning outcomesAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model Argument Driven Inquiry-Scaffolding (ADI-S) dan model Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) dengan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah berbeda. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy eksperimental design. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes hasil belajar kognitif dan tes kemampuan penalaran ilmiah. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANCOVA dua jalur (faktorial 2x2). Hasil analisis menunjukkan: (1) pembelajaran dengan model ADI-S pada materi laju reaksi memberikan hasil belajar kognitif yang lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan model ADI, (2) siswa dengan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah tinggi memberikan hasil belajar kognitif lebih tinggi dibandingkan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah rendah baik pada kelas ADI-S maupun ADI.Kata kunci: ADI; ADI-S; kemampuan penalaran ilmiah; hasil belajar kognitif

Abstract

Abstract:  The purpose of this article is to describe the effectiveness of communication of extroverted students in mathematical problem-solving. The trial subjects were two high school students in class XII who had extroverted personalities. Measurement of the level of similarity in understanding or effectiveness of communication seen based on the results of interviews with two research subjects. Based on observations during the problem-solving process and analysis of communication effectiveness, it is found that students' mathematical communication in solving problems is very effectiveAbstrak: Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas komunikasi siswa berkepribadian ekstrovert dalam pemecahan masalah matematis. Subyek uji coba adalah dua siswa kelas XII SMA yang memiliki kepribadian ekstrovert. Pengukuran tingkat kesamaan pemahaman atau efektivitas komunikasi dilihat berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan dua subjek penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan selama proses pemecahan masalah dan analisis efektivitas komunikasi didapatkan bahwa komunikasi matematis siswa dalam memecahkan masalah sangat efektif.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a case study that explores the error in concept construction of undergraduate students’ with very negative mathematical identity. The construction was examined through the APOS theory. The student participating in the study was a student in the accounting department. Results showed that the student with very negative mathematical identity did not think much when choosing the most suitable measure of central tendency for a particular data. The student did not take into account the existence of outlier and mode, how the mean involves every data element, and whether the data distribution was normal or not. Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus yang mengeksplor kesalahan konstruksi konsep mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis yang sangat negatif. Konstruksi konsep diteliti menggunakan kerangka APOS. Mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa pada jurusan akuntansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan identitas matematis yang sangat rendah tidak berpikir banyak ketika memilih ukuran pemusatan yang sesuai untuk data yang diberikan. Subjek tidak mempertimbangkan eksistensi modus dan outlier, bagaimana mean melibatkan semua elemen data, dan apakah datanya berdistribusi normal atau tidak.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of gender towards self-discipline attitudes and student learning outcomes in Physics, the effect of self-discipline attitudes towards student learning outcomes in Physics. This is comparative method. The population is 86 of XI grade students of Public Senior High School 2 and 7 of 2019/2020 school year. Data collection was done using questionnaires, tests, and documentation methods. The results conclude that there is an effect of gender towards students’ self-discipline attitudes; no effect of gender towards student learning outcomes in Physics; no effect of self-discipline attitudes towards student learning outcomes. Key Words: gender, self-discipline attitudes, physics learning outcomesAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis kelamin terhadap sikap disiplin diri dan hasil belajar fisika siswa, pengaruh sikap disiplin diri terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode komparatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 dan 7 tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 86 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh jenis kelamin terhadap sikap disiplin diri siswa; tidak ada pengaruh jenis kelamin terhadap hasil belajar Fisika siswa; tidak ada pengaruh sikap disiplin diri terhadap hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: jenis kelamin, sikap disiplin diri, hasil belajar fisika

Abstract

Abstract: Digital media has the potential to support learning, such as Mobile Learning. The fact show that students currently have not matched their ability to use digital media for the sake of obtaining information. The purpose of this study was to analyze the media learning needs of Plant Structure and Development material. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with observations and surveys. Research instruments in the form of observation sheets and questionnaires. This research was conducted from July to September 2019 at the Biology Education Study Program, FMIPA, UM. The research subjects consisted of 33 students and 1 lecturer. The technique of determining the sample using purposive sampling. The results showed that the subject of Plant Structure and Development requires Mobile Learning media.Abstrak: Media digital berpotensi mendukung pembelajaran, seperti Mobile Learning. Fakta menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa saat ini belum mengimbangi kemampuannya menggunakan media digital untuk kepentingan memperoleh informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kebutuhan media pembelajaran materi Struktur dan Perkembangan Tumbuhan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan observasi dan survei. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan kuisioner. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Juli sampai September 2019 pada Prodi Sarjana Pendidikan Biologi, FMIPA, UM. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 33 mahasiswa dan 1 dosen. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Mata Kuliah Struktur dan Perkembangan Tumbuhan membutuhkan media Mobile Learning.

Abstract

Abstract: The RICOSRE learning model can influence the decision making skills of class X students of two high school. The research used was quasi-experimental with pretest and posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was students of two high school which are determined by random sampling. Data collected in the form of pretest and posttest scores. It used Anakova technique to analyze the data. The result confirmed that the RICOSRE learning model affected the decision making skills of class X students with an increase of 63.69%.Abstrak: Model pembelajaran RICOSRE dapat berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan pengambilan keputusan siswa kelas X di kedua SMA. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest posttest non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian, yaitu siswa di kedua SMA yang ditentukan secara random sampling.  Data yang dikumpulkan berupa skor pretest dan posttest. Analisis data menggunakan teknik Anakova dan hasilnya yaitu model pembelajaran RICOSRE berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan pengambilan keputusan siswa kelas X dengan peningkatan sebesar 63,69%.

Abstract

Abstract: Empowering communication skills can be done through the implementation of appropriate learning models. Remap-NHT could potentially improve communication skills through the syntax of reading, concept mapping, and discussion. This study aims to determine the influence of Remap-NHT on communication skills conducted in August-December 2019. Samples amounted are 100 students from three classes of XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Malang, each of which has been discussed with Remap-NHT, NHT, and control. Data were analyzed using Oneway-Ancova, which previously carried out the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Levene’s Test of Equality of Error Variances. The results showed that Remap-NHT significantly improved communication skills compared to NHT and control.Key Words: communication skills; remap-NHTAbstrak: Pemberdayaan keterampilan komunikasi dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Model pembelajaran Remap-NHT berpotensi meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi melalui sintaks membaca, membuat peta konsep, dan diskusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Remap-NHT terhadap keterampilan komunikasi yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-Desember 2019. Sampel berjumlah 100 siswa dari tiga kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Malang yang masing-masing dibelajarkan dengan Remap-NHT, NHT, dan kontrol. Data dianalisis menggunakan Oneway-Ancova yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test dan Levene’s Test of Equality of Error Variances. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Remap-NHT lebih signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi dibandingkan dengan NHT dan kontrol.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi; remap-NHT
