Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by stages such as chronic hyperglycemia with disturbances in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism caused by defects in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. Along with the development of science, there are many new discoveries that direct the treatment of diabetes by using functional foods and changing lifestyles, one of which is herbs. One of the herbs that can control blood sugar levels is to use zalacca peel herbs (Salacca Zalacca). Purpose, to analyze the bark of the fruit of Salak (Salacca Zalacca) as an anti-diabetic T2. Literature Review Design, Data source: Search using Porquest database, PubMed Central, Google Scholar, articles on topics published in Indonesian and English from 2018-2023. Method Review: Search for articles using PICOS with keywords that match the writing. Articles were selected by journal selection, abstract selection by inclusion criteria, exclusion so that journals were found that could be reviewed. Literature review results of 6 articles that have been selected and then categorized into 2 Characteristics of zalacca peel consisting of 3 articles Compounds in Salak Fruit Peel (Weningtyas et al., 2023), (Ermi Girsang., 2017), (Saleh et al., 2021 ) And 3 articles about zalacca peel as anti-diabetic (Marzuki et al., 2022), (Husnul Khotimah et al., 2021), (Silalahi et al., 2021). Overall conclusion Salak fruit peel is one of the herbal plants that has an antidiabetic effect. This is supported by the many compounds in salak skin that can treat diabetes. Abstract

Background: The prevalence of cardiovascular disease and obesity is quite high in Indonesia. Medical students must always be healthy in carrying out the educational process and later, when working as a doctor. Body composition measurements can be used as parameters for early detection of cardiovascular risk. Heart Rate Recovery (HRR) is one of the predictors for mortality associated with the risk of cardiovascular disease. Objective: To determine the correlation between body composition and HRR in male medical study program students. Methods: This study is an analytic correlation study. The subjects were 83 male students. The parameters measured in body composition are body mass index, waist circumference, body fat percentage, and waist-height ratio. The HRR data measured after the Kasch Step Test. The HRR used is HRR 1 minute (HRR1min). The Spearman correlation test used to find a correlation between body composition and HRR. Results: All body compositions were inversely correlated with HRR1min and showed a statistically significant relationship (p <0.05). Waist circumference and body fat percentage are weakly correlated with HRR. Body mass index and waist-height ratio are moderately correlated with HRR. Conclusion: There is a correlation between every aspect of body composition with HRR in male medical students. Components of body composition that are considered to have a significant correlation are body mass index and waist to height ratio

Abstract

Medical record data processing at this time is not only done manually but also current technological developments also support data processing activities carried out using a computerized based system. Manual data processing has many weaknesses, besides requiring a long time, its accuracy is also unacceptable. Because the possibility of error is very large. The medical record contains information including personal identity, social and all other information concerning the patient. Processing of medical record indexing data at Bob Bazar Hospital has been integrated into SIMRS. However, inputting disease index data is still done by pulling patient diagnosis data one by one into Microsoft Excel from SIMRS. So that the data input takes quite a long time and the patient's disease index cannot be optimally processed to be used as a report. This study uses Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 at Bob Bazar Hospital. The system development method used is waterfall. Therefore, the author makes a configuration of the inpatient disease list data framework by utilizing Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) as a planning technique, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 as an application program and Microsoft Access as an information base

Abstract

This research attempts to identify the cultural conflicts depicted in The Ramen Girl (2008). Conflict in this study is defined as a clash that occurs between different values, beliefs, norms, or practices between groups or individuals who come from different cultural origins, in this case represented by Japanese and American culture, especially in the relationship between the two main characters, namely Abby, an American girl who after a conflict with her boyfriend, decided to stay in Japan to learn how to cook ramen and Maezumi, a Tokyo resident who owns a ramen shop who at first was against Abby's desire to learn from him. The research was conducted using an exploratory qualitative research method because it seeks to explore cultural conflicts between figures representing American culture and Japanese culture. The results of the study show that all the points from the essence of the conflict that originated from conflicting values, can be found in the interaction of the Abby vs Maezumi conflict. The conflicts that occur are mostly resolved by way of compromise, tolerance and mediation
