Factum: Jurnal Sejarah dan Pendidikan Sejarah promotes research in the broad field of history and Education with particular respect to Indonesia, but not limited to authorship or topical coverage within the region. Contributions are expected from historian, educator, teacher, senior researchers, project managers, research administrators and PhD students at advanced stages of their research, representing both public organizations and private industry. Equally, the journal if intended for scholars and students, reseachers working at research organizations and government agencies, and also for enterprises undertaking applied R&D to lead innovations. The editorial contents and elements that comprise the journal include: Theoretical articles Empirical studies Practice-oriented papers Case studies Review of papers, books, and resources. As far as the criteria for evaluating and accepting submissions is concerned, a rigorous review process will be used. Submitted papers will, prior to the formal review, be screened so as to ensure their suitability and adequacy to the journal. In addition, an initial quality control will be performed, so as to ensure matters such as language, style of references and others, comply with the journal´s style. The below mentioned areas are just indicative. The editorial board also welcomes innovative articles that redefine any history and history education field. Abstract

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, teachers were asked to organize creative and innovative online learning to support the continuity of the learning process. In online history learning, teachers can use voice-over power point as learning media. This study aims to obtain a description of the online history learning using voice-over power point in SMA Negeri 1 Cisarua. The method used in this research is a study of qualitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that there are several things that the teacher prepares before carrying out the online history learning such as compiling the RPP and designing voice-over power point. The online history learning using voice power point media is carried out through google classroom. The teacher utilises voice-over power point as a media to deliver lesson material to students. However, there are a few deficiencies in this learning such as lack of direct interaction between students and teachers, and lack of student involvement in the learning process. Nevertheless, in general students gave positive responses regarding online history learning using voice power point media.

Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 virus has had an impact on various aspects of life, including the world of education. Require each government to implement emergency policies to reduce and stop the Covid-19 virus pandemic. In Indonesia, in the field of education, distance learning policies are issued or carried out online at home for each school. Learning that is carried out online is no exception at MAN 2 Sukabumi City and is a new thing that is also a challenge for every school. These challenges then have an impact on the process and learning outcomes carried out by teachers and students. The learning problem that is seen and becomes a concern during the online history learning process, especially in class X IPS 4 MAN 2 Sukabumi City is the low creativity of students which is included in 21st century skills. There are several indicators of creativity that are low and lacking in students. The current conditions with the implementation of online learning, although recently limited face-to-face meetings have begun, make it necessary to use an online platform to support the learning process and conduct research during this pandemic. Based on these problems, the formulation of the problems taken in this research is how to increase students' creativity in learning history through the application of flipchart projects with the help of the Whast App application. The method used in this research is a classroom action research (CAR) method using a design developed by Ebbut. Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Model Project Based Learning Dalam Meningkatkan Kreativitas Siswa Melalui Video Digital Pada Pembelajaran Sejarah (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di Kelas XI IPS 2 SMAN 4 Depok)”. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa melalui penerapan Project Based Learning dengan membuat video digital pada pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini memiliki latar belakang yang berasal dari hasil temuan oleh peneliti di kelas XI IPS 2 SMAN 4 Depok yakni rendahnya kreativitas siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian yang dikembangkan oleh Mc Kernan. Alasan digunakan desain penelitian Mc Kernan karena desain penelitian ini memiliki waktu yang fleksibel, dengan di dalamnya terdapat tujuh tahapan penelitian dengan dua daur dan delapan tindakan yang dilakukan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas siswa mengalami peningkatan, meskipun pada indikator keluwesan, dalam subindikator mencari alternatif gambar yang sesuai, kreativitas siswa terlihat memiliki skor yang tidak berubah pada daur I dan daur II, serta pada indikator elaborasi mengalami penurunan skor dari daur I ke daur II. Namun, peningkatan yang signifikan dari daur I ke daur II terlihat pada indikator keluwesan dengan subindikator memberikan ide baru pada rancangan sebelumnya. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa pada pembelajaran sejarah.Kata kunci: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Project Based Learning, Kreativitas, Video Digital, Pembelajaran Sejarah

Abstract

The Nation of Islam is a black organization that uses Islamic principles in its movement, the main goal of which is the freedom of black civil rights. The Nation of Islam has become a place of hatred for blacks against whites because of the racial discrimination they have experienced so far. Many researches on the civil rights of blacks in the United States have been written, but the struggle for civil rights by the Nation of Islam is still lacking, especially in Indonesia. The main discussion of the research is "how were the efforts made by the Nation of Islam in fighting for the civil rights of black people in the United States from 1930-1976?" by using historical research methods (historical methods) which include heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with library research techniques in collecting data. The concept used in analyzing this thesis is the concept of messianism, racial discrimination, ethnocentrism, and human rights (HAM) which will explain the background of the formation of the Nation of Islam, the efforts made by the Nation of Islam in fighting for the civil rights of black people from 1930 to 1976, and the impact of the struggle of the Nation of Islam on the civil rights of black people in the United States. The results of this study indicate that the purpose of establishing the Nation of Islam is to save the lives of black people in the United States from all forms of racial discrimination, segregation, and negative stereotypes that lead to the struggle for civil rights. The efforts made by the Nation of Islam are restoring the identity and confidence of the African-American race, developing an independent economy, and establishing relations with other countries. Then the impact that the Nation of Islam had on its struggle for civil liberties was to raise the status of blacks socially and economically, to build a number of black assets in the form of shops, restaurants, schools, land, and a newspaper called Muhammad Speaks.Keywords: Black People, Nation of Islam (NOI), Civil Rights Struggle

Abstract

 This writing examines the role of Haji Misbach and its relation to the peasant's protest in Surakarta in 1919. Between 1918-1919 Haji Misbach was an active member of NIP (Nationaal Indische Partij), also called Insulinde or Sarekat Hindia, along with Tjipro Mangoenkoesoemo and Soewardi Soerjaningrat. He also represented Nyonya Vogel as a leader of the NIP branch in Surakarta. Haji Misbach as a propagandist of NIP had a significant role in the emergence of peasant protests in Surakarta around May 1919. He organized peasants in Surakarta into the krings, under NIP, based on the villages where the peasants lived. Therefore Misbach's intention in organizing the peasants was to unify them, peasants, to struggle against the oppression from the capitalist and colonial government. He not only organized, but he also reminded it is readers about how essential unity was. Besides, through Islam Bergerak, toward the peasant's protest in Surakarta, it published a caricature that clearly illustrates the power relation between the capitalist to the oppressed peasants. When it came out, the accusation of Misbach was inevitable. Even though they did not directly give orders to the peasants to protest, the organization of the peasants and propaganda efforts toward the protest had considerable influence. So this article, which illustrates the relationship between the action and propaganda of Haji Misbach to the peasant protest in Surakarta, would support the Author's past writing in his thesis At the Department of History Education in the Indonesia University of Education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the dynamics of the development of the Singa Manuk art in the village of Anggasari, Subang Regency, from 2003-2015. The author uses historical methods, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The research technique uses field studies and literature studies. Based on the results of the study, it was explained that the background of the birth of Singa Manuk art in Anggasari Village was due to a cultural mix between Subang culture through its Sisingaan art and typical Pantura’s dangdut music which was based on the unrest of the artists in Anggasari Village about the dimming of the artistry so that it gave birth to innovations namely Singa Manuk art. Singa Manuk art experienced a dynamic development from 2003 by Sanggar Genades until 2015. Singa Manuk art in Anggasari Village is experiencing continuous development and innovation by artists in the village so that Singa Manuk art continues to be in demand by the community and is preserved. The effort to preserve the Singa Manuk art involves various parties, namely artists, district governments, village governments, and the community who preserve Singa Manuk art.Keywords : Art Preservation, Singa Manuk Art, Subang ArtAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dinamika dari perkembangan kesenian Singa Manuk di Desa Anggasari, Kabupaten Subang tahun 2003-2015. Penulis menggunakan metode historis, yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Teknik penelitiannya menggunakan studi lapangan dan studi literatur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dijelaskan bahwa latar belakang lahirnya kesenian Singa Manuk di Desa Anggasari dikarenakan adanya percampuran budaya antara budaya Subang lewat kesenian Sisingaan nya dengan musik dangdut khas Pantura yang didasari oleh keresahan para seniman di Desa Anggasari tentang semakin redupnya kesenian tersebut sehingga melahirkan inovasi baru yaitu kesenian Singa Manuk. Kesenian Singa Manuk mengalami perkembangan yang dinamis, dimulai dari tahun 2003 oleh Sanggar Genades hingga 2015 kesenian Singa Manuk di Desa Anggasari mengalami perkembangan dan inovasi terus-menerus oleh para seniman di desa tersebut, sehingga kesenian Singa Manuk terus diminati oleh masyarakat dan terlestarikan. Upaya pelestarian kesenian Singa Manuk melibatkan berbagai pihak, yaitu para seniman, pemerintah kabupaten, pemerintah desa juga masyarakat yang ikut andil dalam melestarikan kesenian Singa Manuk.Kata kunci : Kesenian Singa Manuk, Kesenian Subang, Pelestarian Kesenian.

Abstract

 This study explains “Sticky-Rice Tapai Home Industry as the Drive of Community’s Socio-Economy of Tarikolot Village (1980-2015)”. It aims at describing the socio-economical aspects of the tapai home-industries community in Tarikolot Village. It tries to comprehensively study their development from the early periods, the eagerness of the community towards tapai production, their process of change to develop the industries, and the impacts of the industries on the socio-economical life of the community. The historical method comprises some stages that include data collection (heuristic), source critics, interpretation, and, finally, historiography stages. An interdisciplinary approach is then applied to intensify the analysis within the scopes of industrial, socio-economical transformation, and social mobility concepts. According to the result of the study, it is identified that Tarikolot Village has been central to tapai industries in Kuningan Regency that keep growing not only in terms of the number of industries but also in the number of productions. The development of the industries has contributed significantly to the transformations of the socio-economical life of the community, including the community’s life support, income, prosperity, and educational level. Key words: tapai, home industry, Tarikolot Village ABSTRAKArtikel ini berjudul “Home Industry Tape Ketan sebagai Penggerak Perekembangan Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Desa Tarikolot (1980-2015)”. Permasalahan pokok yang dibahas dalam artikel ini adalah bagaimana kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat home industry tape ketan Desa Tarikolot Kecamatan Cibeureum tahun 1980-2015. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji lebih dalam terkait perkembangan industri tape ketan baik mengenai awal kemunculannya, ketertarikan masyarakat untuk memproduksi tape ketan,  usaha masyarakat untuk mengembangkan produksi tape ketan di Kecamatan Cibeureum Kabupaten Kuningan, perubahan yang dilakukan dalam mengembangkan industri tape ketan, maupun dampak yang terjadi  pada kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat di Desa Tarikolot. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis yang meliputi beberapa langkah, yaitu heuristik (pengumpulan sumber) baik sumber lisan maupun tulisan, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Untuk memperdalam analisis, penulis menggunakan pendekatan interdisipliner melalui kajian ilmu sosiologi, antropologi dan ekonomi. Konsep-konsep yang digunakan seperti industri, perubahan sosial ekonomi, mobilitas sosial, Teknik penelitian yang digunakan ialah studi literatur dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan bahwa Desa Tarikolot Kecamatan Cibeureum merupakan pusat industri tape ketan. Keberadaan industri tape ketan terus mengalami perkembangan baik dari jumlah industri maupun dari kuantitas produksinya. Perkembangan yang terjadi pada industri tape ketan telah menimbulkan perubahan terhadap kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Perubahan memberikan pengaruh terhadap berbagai aspek sosial ekonomi diantaranya mata pencaharian, pendapatan, tingkat kesejahteraan, tingkat pendidikan, dan gaya hidup masyarakat. Abstract

This research discussed developing students’ historical comprehension in classroom XI IPA 1 using the Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction (CORI) Strategy. This research aims to describe the planning of implementing the CORI strategy in learning history, explain the steps to implementing the CORI strategy, identify students’ historical comprehension through implementing the CORI strategy, and describe the effort to resolve the obstacles in implementing the strategy in learning history. This research is based on the problem that students lack in comprehending historical text that takes effect of students’ historical comprehension. Using the Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and McTaggart, design research consists of several components: plan, act, observe and reflect. Dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya siswa dalam memahami teks sejarah berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman kesejarahan siswa. Menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain penelitian Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan (act), observasi (observe) dan refleksi (reflect). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan pemahaman kesejarahan siswa di setiap siklusnya, sehingga penerapan strategi CORI dapat dijadikan solusi untuk menumbuhkan pemahaman kesejarahan siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah.Kata kunci : Pemahaman Kesejarahan, Pembelajaran Sejarah, Strategi CORI.

Abstract

The background of the study is the lack of cooperation between the student’s ability to teach history. This problem can be studied with the action research methods to the research design and Taggart Kemmis models. The findings of the first cycle are that the ability to work in the possession of students is still in the stage quite well. This can be seen in the indicator to encourage participation and show appreciation sympathy. Groups still charge those who can do something other than that; some members focus on mobile phones that do not follow the task process. The group division is too much also contributed to the lack of effectiveness of the work on the assignment. The results from the second cycle are cooperation skills possessed by students beginning there is a change to be good. It can be seen from the indicators to encourage participation and show appreciation and sympathy for the average student who gets a good score. Other indicators of students are still good and quite good. The findings of the third cycle are that the ability to work all achieve good scores. All indicators of cooperation, on average, scored well; in fact, some groups scored very well. This research concludes that cooperative learning type numbered head together learning can foster student cooperation in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 10 Bandung in 3 cycles. The recommendation of this study is to use this learning model, and teachers must prioritize time management in working on assignments and group divisionsKeywords : action research, cooperation, type numbered heads together. AbstrakLatarbelakang dari penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kemampuan kerjasama antara siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan model cooperative learning tipe numbered head together siswa dapat menunjukkan adanya pertumbuhan dalam hal kerjasama.   Permasalahan ini dapat dikaji dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (action research) dengan desain penelitian model Kemmis dan Taggart. Hasil temuan pada siklus pertama adalah kemampuan kerjasama yang dimilik oleh siswa masih dalam tahap cukup baik. Ini dapat terlihat pada indikator mendorong partisipasi dan menunjukkan penghargaan simpati terdapat kelompok yang masih memberikan tugas kepada orang yang bisa mengerjakannya selain itu ada anggota yang fokus pada handphone sehingga tidak mengikuti proses pengerjaan tugas. Pembagian kelompok yang terlalu banyak juga turut menyumbang kurangnya keefektifan pengerjaan tugas. Hasil temuan dari siklus kedua adalah kemampuan kerjasama yang dimiliki oleh siswa mulai terdapat perubahan menjadi baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari indikator mendorong partisipasi dan menunjukkan penghargaan dan simpati dengan rata-rata siswa mendapat skor baik. Untuk indikator lainnya siswa masih dalam tahap baik dan cukup baik. Hasil temuan pada siklus ketiga adalah kemampuan kerjasama semua mencapai skor baik. Semua indikator kerjasama rata-rata mendapat skor baik bahkan ada beberapa kelompok yang mendapat skor amat baik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe numbered head together dapat menumbuhkan kerjasama siswa di kelas XI IPS 1 SMAN 10 Bandung dalam 3 siklus. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah untuk menggunakan model pembelajaran ini, guru harus  mengutamakan manajemen waktu dalam mengerjakan tugas maupun pembagian kelompok.Kata Kunci  : Penelitian tindakan kelas, tipe numbered head together, kerjasama
