Factum: Jurnal Sejarah dan Pendidikan Sejarah promotes research in the broad field of history and Education with particular respect to Indonesia, but not limited to authorship or topical coverage within the region. Contributions are expected from historian, educator, teacher, senior researchers, project managers, research administrators and PhD students at advanced stages of their research, representing both public organizations and private industry. Equally, the journal if intended for scholars and students, reseachers working at research organizations and government agencies, and also for enterprises undertaking applied R&D to lead innovations. The editorial contents and elements that comprise the journal include: Theoretical articles Empirical studies Practice-oriented papers Case studies Review of papers, books, and resources. As far as the criteria for evaluating and accepting submissions is concerned, a rigorous review process will be used. Submitted papers will, prior to the formal review, be screened so as to ensure their suitability and adequacy to the journal. In addition, an initial quality control will be performed, so as to ensure matters such as language, style of references and others, comply with the journal´s style. The below mentioned areas are just indicative. The editorial board also welcomes innovative articles that redefine any history and history education field. Abstract

AbstractThis article is entitled The Role of Waffen Schutzstaffel: The das Reich Division in Operation Barbarossa 1941. The background in this study is based on the researchers' curiosity about the German-Soviet War during WW II and in particular the role of the ss das Reich division in Barbarossa operations. This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the das Reich division in Operation Barbarossa 1941. The method used in this thesis research is a historical method by conducting four research steps namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography as well as data collection techniques using literature studies. The results of this thesis research can be drawn conclusions include: First, beginning with the formation of the SS Stabswache as Hitler's personal guard force which later developed into the das Reich division. Second, Broadly speaking Germany uses a blitzkrieg strategy by dividing its three forces. The das Reich division during Operation Barbarossa was placed in the Herengruppe Center. Third, the struggle of the das Reich division during the Barbarossa operations had a good effect on every attack carried out by the Germans. The conclusion begins with only a small army which then develops into an independent division and has been trained in various battles until its peak in Operation Barbarossa is able to give everything that is best to carry out the task. Researchers hope that in the future this research can be used for positive things.

Abstract

This research describes the preservation and enculturation of Angklung Sered Balandongan in Tasikmlaya District in 1995-2017. This research comes from the confusion and anxiety of the arts Angklung researchers Sered balandongan which until now has not been widely recognized by the public. Even had extinguished before finally start there research by artists who later developed in the area of education. Broadly speaking, this study answers the question "How is the preservation and enculturation of Angklung Sered Balandongan in Tasikmalaya district in 1995-2017". To answer these questions, researchers conducted a study using the historical method consists of the collection of source, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. Based on the research found that balandongan Sered Angklung art is an art that has long existed in Tasikmalaya regency. Nevertheless, Angklung Sered balandongan not widely known by the public. Therefore the artists and the government together to preserve and cultivate the arts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pandangan yang ditinjau dari pemberitaan yang diterbitkan oleh surat kabar Suluh Indonesia dan Indonesia Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode historis yang terdiri dari empat langkah penelitian: heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan pendekatan multidisipliner dengan mengambil konsep surat kabar, tajuk rencana, catatan pojok dan karikatur dalam upaya membahas tema penelitian yang diangkat.  Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian, surat kabar Suluh Indonesia dan Indonesia Raya memiliki pandangan yang berbeda dalam melihat kebijakan kabinet Ali Sastroamidjojo II. Surat kabar Suluh Indonesia selalu mendukung apa yang dilakukan oleh Ali Sastroamidjojo, hal ini dikarenakan surat kabar Suluh Indonesia merupakan organ media dari Partai Nasional Indonesia, dan begitu pun Ali Sastroamidjojo merupakan anggota dari partai. Sehingga ketika menjabat sebagai Perdana Menteri Ali Sastroamidjojo terlepas dari kritik surat kabar ini. Berbanding terbalik dengan surat kabar Indonesia Raya, surat kabar ini selalu mengkritik kebijakan yang diterbitkan oleh Kabinet Ali Sastroamidjojo II, hal ini disebabkan surat kabar Indonesia Raya tergolong kepada Pers Independen yang mana jika suatu kebijakan tidak sesuai dengan idealisme dari Pemimpin Redaksi maka surat kabar tersebut tidak akan berhenti mengkritik. Terlebih surat kabar Independen ini memiliki pandangan pers yang tidak memihak ke dalam suatu kekuatan politik manapun, menghindarkan diri dari pemberitaan yang berat sebelah dan menguntungkan salah satu pihak dan merugikan pihak lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Peranan Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh dalam Mempopulerkan Seni Budaya di Kabupaten Majalengka 1993-2016”. Latar belakang penulis mengambil tema penelitian tersebut didasari ketertarikan terhadap sejarah lokal terutama seni budaya tradisional. Pemilihan Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh sebagai objek penelitian didasari ketertarikan terhadap organisasi seni budaya yang terus melestarikan kesenian tradisional di tengah arus globalisasi, serta latar belakang berdirinya. Masalah utama dalam skripsi ini adalah “Bagaimana peranan Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh dalam Mempopulerkan Seni Budaya di Kabupaten Majalengka 1993-2016?” Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut penulis membaginya dalam empat rumusan masalah, Bagaimana latar belakang berdirinya Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh di Kabupaten Majalengka? Bagaimana perkembangan Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh 1993-2016? Bagaimana upaya Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh dalam mengembangkan dan melestarikan seni budaya di Kecamatan Jatitujuh? Bagaimana pengaruh Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh terhadap seni budaya masyarakat Kecamatan Jatitujuh 1993-2016?. Penulis menggunakan metode historis, yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Teknik penelitiannya menggunakan studi literatur dan studi lapangan. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah latar belakang berdirinya Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh merupakan perkembangan kelompok seniman Jatitujuh yang bergerak dalam pengembangan serta pelestarian seni budaya. Kemudian perkembangan organisasi ini mengalami perubahan dari kelompok seniman bernama Musik Kampungan menjadi Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh. Upaya Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh dalam mengembangkan dan melestarikan seni budaya berupa pelaksanaan program kerja, sosialiasi dan kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak. Pengaruh Komunitas Konser Kampung Jatitujuh terhadap aspek seni budaya masyarakat adalah terjadinya revitalisasi seni budaya tradisional, bertambahnya partisipasi kepedulian masyarakat terhadap pengembangan dan pelestarian seni budaya di Jatitujuh.

Abstract

This article is entitled "Boris Yeltsin: Era of Transitional Government Post-Fall of the Soviet Union". This article describes the efforts made by President Boris Yeltsin who was elected as the first Russian president and how his leadership in running the political wheel during the transition period. policy focuses on changing and accustoming society to democratic life. like the implementation of the economic liberalization program with one of them being the granting of privatization vochers. but as is the case with an unstable transition process, the test of democracy must be faced by transitional governments such as the turmoil of regions that want to free themselves and also the readiness of the people to quickly adapt directly to major changes that occur are considered quite difficult given the seventy years of previous government that still made an impression in people's lives. The method used is a historical method which includes heuristic steps, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The conclusion I got was that the process of democratization programmed by Boris Yeltsin led to the introduction of a top-down model, one of which was reflected in the privatization program that gave rise to the elite or oligarchy as the most prominent group resulting from the democratization. This became a blunder for the second period of Yeltsin's government, the collapse of the ruble, the non-payment of the London Club's foreign debt, and the corruption scandal of the oligarchs (Mabatex) who were in Yeltsin's circle became a bad record in his era of leadership, compounded by his health that was getting worse and worse. get worse. Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Syarif Thayeb Dan Gerakan Mahasiswa Di Indonesia Pada Dua Zaman (1964-1978)”. Masalah utama dalam skripsi ini ialah bagaimana kontribusi Syarif  Thayeb terhadap gerakan mahasiswa. Untuk menjabarkan masalah utama dalam skripsi ini, peneliti membatasi fokus kajian ke dalam empat pertanyaan penelitian yaitu 1) Bagaimana latar belakang kehidupan Syarif  Thayeb. 2) Bagaimana Peran Syarif  Thayeb dalam gerakan mahasiswa pada masa Orde Lama. 3) Bagaimana upaya Syarif Thayeb dalam menekan gerakan mahasiswa pada masa Orde Baru. Penulis skripsi ini menggunakan metode penelitian historis yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan bahwa Syarif  Thayeb terpilih menjadi Menteri PTIP dan Menteri P dan K karena rekam jejaknya di bidang akademik sebagai Rektor Universitas Indonesia. Saat kepemimpinannya di masa Soekarno Syarif Tahyeb sangat dekat dengan mahasiswa dan merupakan salah satu inisiator terbentuknya Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Indonesia. Syarif Thayeb yang merupakan seorang militer merasa tergerak untuk menggulingkan PKI yang pada masa tersebut dianggap membunuh para pimpinan militer dan KAMI yang merupakan aktor dari demonstrasi untuk membubarkan PKI. Pada saat diangkat menjadi Menteri P dan K masa orde baru Syarif  Thayeb memiliki tugas yang berat yaitu meredam aksi mahasiswa yang bergejolak akibat aksi Malari. Syarif Thayeb akhirnya membuat kebijakan-kebijakan yang isinya membatasi gerak mahasiswa, walaupun kebijakan tersebut menuai penolakan dari para mahasiswa.

Abstract

The Diponegoro War which lasted for five years from 1825-1830 was motivated by Prince Diponegoro's dislike of interfering too much with the internal affairs of the Yogyakarta Palace plus the Dutch action unilaterally fixing the land to be used by the railroad crossing the land of Prince Diponegoro's ancestral grave, this sparked anger until there was resistance to the Dutch Colonialism. The researcher was inspired by Ustadz Salim.A.Fillah's lectures, which often discussed the story of the Java War, especially the history of Prince Diponegoro, where if sequenced from Prince Diponegoro's resistance, stelsel fort , cultuur stelsel, ethical politics to the mobilization of students led by aristocrats who were literate in politics as a kick a snowball of the Indonesian national movement towards independence. This research aims that the nation's current historical experience has been largely forgotten by the millennial generation, and awareness of participating in defending the country is very low, therefore the researcher hopes that the continuity of the story of the Diponegoro war so that the national movement against colonialism can contribute to the awareness of defending the country for the next generation of the nation.    Keywords:

Abstract

Various survey results indicate that the reading literacy skills of Indonesian students are still relatively low. However, reading literacy is a part of a set of skills and abilities that are essential in the 21st century. One of the factors influencing students' reading literacy skills is the source of reading materials. In the context of education, reading materials are closely linked to learning resources. In Indonesia, the majority of schools and students rely on textbooks as their primary learning resources. This is also the case in public high schools in Cimahi City. Therefore, the researcher was motivated to conduct a study to investigate the potential relationship between the use of textbooks as historical learning resources and students' reading literacy skills. The research method employed is correlation analysis. The study population consists of public high school students in Cimahi City, with a sample size of 380 students. Data was collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The research findings demonstrate a significant, positive correlation at a strong level between history textbooks and reading literacy skills. The strength of this correlation is influenced by the pivotal role that textbooks play during the learning process. However, there is still a need for improvement in the quality of the textbooks used, so as to further enhance students' reading literacy skills.

Abstract

The Success of Japanese military operations in World War II, other than modern armaments, was also supported by effective war strategies and tactics to reach a victory. Japan’s victory over the Allies, which led to the fall of Southeast Asia to the hand of the Japanese in the first phase of World War II, and the heavy losses suffered by the Allies at the end of World War II, proves that victory in war cannot be achieved only by armament modernization, but must be accompanied with the effective war strategies and tactics and an ability to adapt in the battlefield. The purpose of this research is to find out about ground warfare strategies used by the Japanese in military operations in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands in World War II. The research method used the historical method. This study is a development of previous studies that discuss Japan’s war strategy in World War II. However, this study focuses more on the ground warfare strategies and tactics used by the Japanese Army, their implementation on the battlefields in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, and their impact on the Allies in World War II.

Abstract

This Research is motivated by the findings of researchers in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 13 Bandung which shows the low creativity of students in history learning, where creativity is one of the important aspects that students need to have in participating in history learning. the findings that the researchers found in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 13 Bandung related to the low creativity of students during history learning who dared to be seen from the ability to think critically and innovatively of students in providing opinions, creative ideas as well as the low creativity of students involves in working on a project. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, in which three actions were carried out in each cycle using the Dave Ebbut mode, which in the process consisted of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, reconnaissance, and reflection. The purpose of this research is to increase students creativity in online history learning. the creativity indicator used as a guide in this study is Guilford’s opinion which consists of fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality, which the researcher develop into sub-indicators that have been adapted to the needs of the research. The scroe for each sub-indicator of the creativity indicators increased in each cycle so that from the score obtainde an increase in creativity was obtained from the first cycle with a percentage of 53% an increase of 33% in the second cycle with a percentage of 86%. This shows the success of implementating an effective infographic project to increase students creativity in online history learning.
