Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to do two things. First, it aims to make a computer adaption test (CAT) for Islamic subjects for the santri in ABC Pesantren. Second, it aims to see the results of the CAT test for Islamic subjects in the production of Learning Medical Records. The records is for diagnosing students’ abilities. This research consists of two parts using the research and development (R&D) approach: 1). We collected the data by observing, documenting, and interviewing. We analyzed the data using the concept of reliability among the raters/respondents. We used the generalizability coefficient in Genova 3.1. We analyzed the results using numbers. They describe data from RMP technology education. The research shows that: (1) the CAT can be made based on user needs. It’s Internet-based, user-friendly, interactive, highly secure, and easily accessible. (2) The CAT can recognize three different users: school management, teachers, and students. (3) The expert evaluation’s quantitative data has high consistency: 0.76. It comes from single, small group, and large group outcomes. (4) The CAT can accurately estimate students’ abilities and record learning records. The software uses the triangle decision tree method. It can pick test items and measure ability well. This is clear from the correlation (r) between ability and the software’s CAT scores.

Abstract

This study aims to examine instructors’ e-learning management strategies to improve student learning. This qualitative research uses descriptive methods and involves lecturers who have experience in online learning and have been successful in improving learning outcomes through e-learning. The focus of the study is on the strategies used by the instructors in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of online learning (e-learning). The research instrument employs interview guidelines and documentation. The data collection technique used in this study is an interview with an increased focus on the presentation of e-learning on the website and the documentation of the website. Data analysis is conducted using data triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that the e-learning management strategy of the instructor includes planning by creating a learning plan on the e-learning website that includes a subset of RPS (lesson plan), learning outcomes, diagnostic test (pre-test), module materials, learning videos, journal links related to materials, discussion forums, assignments, and absorption test (post-test). Supervision of e-learning is conducted through agreed e-learning time, monitoring via Zoom, video conference, and WhatsApp group to assess student engagement. Evaluation is done through diagnostic and absorption tests to gauge student understanding and improve higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). The website’s e-learning content is evaluated using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Output) model to promote continuous innovation from lecturers

Each cycle is carried out with planning and implementation. The research objects were 22 students consisting of 10 men and 12 women. The results of the study showed that cyclical actions starting with procyclicals obtained an average of 42.27 from 22 students. This condition was continued in Action Cycles 1 and 2 with an average increase of 64.55 and 85.77 respectively. Of the three cycle actions, the completeness of learning outcomes in cycle 1 was 36.36%, and in cycle 2 it reached 77.27%.
