Abstract

Quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) from 3-substituted 4-anilino coumarin derivativesas anti pancreas cancer had been successfully generated and validated. The 3-substituted 4-anilinocoumarin derivatives structures and their biological activities were taken from the research of Luo et al.Each structure of 3-substituted 4-anilino coumarin derivatives was optimized using DFT/BPV86 6-31Gmethod. The QSAR models were generated by Multi Linear Regression (MLR) and the best model gainedwas: Log IC50 = 4,02 + (-7,126 x qC7) + (-5,709 x qC8) + (6,845 x qC18); n = 18; r2 train = 0.701; r2 test = 0.849, Fkal/Ftab = 3,269; SEE = 0.230. From this model, Log IC50 of pancreas cancer from 3-substituted 4- anilino coumarin derivatives can be reduced by modifying qC7, qC8, dan qC18 as the coefficient values ofeach descriptor.

Abstract

The material of Mg/Al hydrotalcite (Mg/Al-HT-ATBH) intercalated with 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid(THBA) had been successfully synthesized by coprecipitation using a T-type microchannel reactor. Thesynthesized hybrids were characterized by XRD and FT-IR. The result showed that intercalation of THBAinto Mg/Al-HT-THBA reached optimum condition at medium acidity equal to pH 8 with molar ratio ofMg2+:Al3+: THBA was 2:1:0,5. Characterization using FT-IR and XRD showed that THBA was intercalated in the interlayer of Mg/Al-HT-THBA replacing NO3-ions. The value of basal spacing d003 shifted from 11.27° to 6.74° and therefore the interlayer distance increased from 7.84 to 13.10 Å.

Abstract

Since graphene was synthesized in 2004, it has been widely used in electrochemical energy storagedevices and a number of other applications. This study aims to determine the effect of concentration and size ofMg metal particles on the structure, morphology, and electrical conductivity of Mg/Graphene nano sheets(GNS). This research is a laboratory experiment and descriptive research. GNS was synthesized by using amodified Hummers’ method. Mg 10, 20, 30 and 40 weight % /GNS were synthesized by using impregnationmethod using Mg salt (MgCl2.6H2O) as the precursor. Characterizations carried out on each material usingXRD (2θ = 26,768° – 26,938° for C(002) GNS and 2θ = 44,669° – 44,686° for Mg (102)), SEM-EDX and Conductometer proved that the graphene surface is able to reduce Mg2+ metal ions to Mg0 and to control the size and distribution of Mg metal particles deposited on the surface of the graphene sheets. Meanwhile, Mg metal particles that have been deposited are able to inhibit the agglomeration and re-stacking of graphene sheets so that it can increase the electron mobility and electrical conductivity of graphene

Abstract

The use of cerium in sensor applications has been widely develop. In this research, electrochemicalbiosensors have been developed to support Sus scrofa mitochondrial DNA using SPCE-Ce. The surface ofthe SPCE electrode before and after an electrodeposition with cerium, was characterized using SEM andcyclic voltammetry (CV). The design of pork nucleotide sequence as DNA probes, was determined usingNCBI blast program and T-Coffee. The DNA probe was immobilized to SPCE-Ce trough electrostaticinteractions between the surface of cerium and the DNA phosphate backbone. The probe-target DNAhybridization was characterized using DPV. The result of the characterization using SEM showed a flat anduniform of electrode surface for SPCE-Ce than the bare SPCE surface. The voltammogram cyclic shows anincrease in the peak of the ferrycianide current for SPCE-Ce. The result of the DNA probe sequence designare 5’-TATTIATACCAATCACTAIC-3’ which shows 100% homology with pig DNA and 0% homology withchicken and beef DNA. The linear equation of target concentration is I = 0.0303 [target DNA] + 3.947 forthe target DNA concentration range 5 – 30 µg/mL, and the LOD value is 1.44 µg/mL. This biosensor can be used to determine pig mtDNA concentration in the real samples
