Abstract

Such published research provided the concept of formative assessment but the current practices of assessment for language learning digital based were weak. Therefore, this study intended to analyse and synthesize the results of relevant literature from any previous research to build a conceptual framework of using formative assessment and feedback in the digital age to promote a greater impact on reading achievement at elementary school. The literature selection was carried out using Publish or Perish (PoP) and screened by Convence.org program to records the eligible’ literature. A total of 8 articles were included in the analyses. The analyses of the text revealed that technology plays a role in enhancing communication and feedback among teachers, students, and peers, even though parents. In an online class of language learning, teachers could conduct an assessment interactively with various learning activities and such various digital-based instruments. It provided teachers current information about students’ reading development through dynamic formative feedback cycles including teaching, assessing, and adjusting diverse instruction to meet students’ need in learning.

Abstract

Visitors Education of volcanic processes and geodiversity in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) can be a positive value for conservation of abiotic environment. Geosite evaluation for educational tourism is needed to reduce environmental impacts due to tourism activities (a descriptive quantitative research). And its result informed us: Sand Sea Caldera (12.25 points), Mount Bromo Caldera (12.25 points), Mount Batok (11.75 points), Teletubies Hill (11.5 points), and Mount Penanjakan volcanic deposits (9 points). These facts remind us to increase the geodiversity publishings in Teletubies Hill and Mount Penanjakan volcanic deposits so the geology sites will have education and economic value.

Abstract

E-portfolios have been shown to be particularly effective in providing opportunities for students to tell their learning journey of their learning from beginning to end. In contrast to paper-and-pencil-based assessments, e-portfolios allow students to demonstrate the more actual knowledge, attitudes, and skills that they acquired in their learning process. This article describes the development of an e-portfolio-for value-added assessment model for pre-service teacher education. The research employed the ADDIE model and involved three experts and 87 students of Non-formal Education Program Universitas Pattimura, Ambon and 122 Elementary Teacher Training Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu, Lampung. Data were collected through questioners and checklists and were analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The result of this study showed that e-portfolios model was effective in asses students' learning achievement, tracking, and measuring students’ progress as well as diagnosing deficiencies that require improvement. This study offer recommendation regarding the application of the developed model of assessment in these institutions.

Abstract

Innovation of Project-based learning (PjBL) in the 21st century continues to be developed to improve learning outcomes. The use of Trainer kits presents several challenges in achieving learning objectives, both in terms of design, planning, and implementation. The purpose of this study is to implement the Automation of Electrical Installation trainer kit in project-based learning to increase student motivation, critical thinking, and competence. The research method uses research and development (R and D) with 4 models (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Data collection techniques used theory tests and performance tests (measure of maximum performance type, MMP) and questionnaires (measure of typical performance type, MTP). The research trial used 120 respondents of final-level electrical engineering students from 3 universities in Surabaya, Indonesia. The resulting test of statistical analysis Wilcoxon using SPSS-23 obtained Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is valuable 0.000, meaning that there is an increase in the quality of learning on critical thinking skills, motivation, and competence of Electrical Engineering students by implementing a trainer kit in project-based learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this review article in general is to assess the efficiency of physical activity on cognitive function, to describe the success of physical activity in stimulating students' cognitive function, while specifically aiming to provide a detailed description of the neuroscience perspective on how physical activity can contribute to cognitive function. The methods used, such as health insurance, to collect research articles using the google scholar, pubmed, and sciencedirect databases with a span of the last 10 years indexed by scopus quartile 1, quartile 2, quartile 3. Data extraction strategy and data identification using the PRISMA flow chart. To find the appropriate article, the researcher used the PICO procedure. The results of a review of 21 articles and 20 articles significantly improved cognitive function, 1 study showed that it did not significantly improve cognitive function.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity and practicality of training kit and PLC learning module as an instructional media for PLC course for students of electrical engineering education at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. That was development research using Thiagarajan’s 4D models, this study only used the first three stages, not up to the disseminating stage, as the researcher only developed the training kit and module. The design of the training kit and module were developed and validated based on the look of the product, the quality of the media, and the suitability of the media for the curriculum and illustrations. The results of validation and trial process were used to determine the feasibility level of the module that had been developed in terms of validity and practicality. Findings showed that the training kit validation was valid at 85.18%, the module validation was valid at 83.33%. Another finding depicted that students’ responses showed that both the training kit and module were practical with percentages of 85% and 82.17% respectively. So that the training kit and PLC module were feasible to be used in PLC learning process by students of Electrical Engineering Education program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya.

Abstract

The background of this research is the unavailability of fun and non-boring media based on IT. To foster interest and motivation with the concept of playing while learning through an Android-based number division educational game. The research aims at educational games based on Android class II in elementary schools are feasible, practical, and effective. The development method using the 4D model consists of four stages, including the define stage, the design stage, the developing stage, and the dissemination stage. The analysis technique is thorough qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results of the study stated that the Android-based number division educational game obtained an average score of 95.83% by experts by stating it was feasible. The Android-based number division educational game was used to get positive responses from teachers and students with an average of 94%. With this android-based number division educational game, student learning outcomes have increased based on the average value reaching 0.47. So that the Android-based number division educational game is practical and effectively applied in the mathematics learning process.
