Abstract

AbstractThis article is based on a paper aiming at describing (1) a classification ofgreetings by name based on form and interpersonal relationship in the life of theJavanese society and family, (2) the norms used in greetings by name ininterpersonal relationships within the Javanese society and family, and (3) thefunction of the usage of such greetings in the teaching and learning of German.The is biased on data compiled by means of a method of listening andspeaking with baiting techniques and analyzed by means of intralingual andextralingual comparative methods. To distinguish extralingual factors, acomponential analysis was used. Norms of alternation and co-occurrence werealso used to determine greeting alternatives.The results are that (1) in form the greetings by name used by the subjectsunder study can be differentiated into phonological and syntactical ones:shortened name, name of endearment, kinship term plus name, kinship term plusprofession/rank/degree plus name, nickname, and adult name, (2) the norms usedare of two types, alternation and co-occurrence, and (3) a study on greetings byname in the Javanese society can function as a provider of items for comparison ina study on German and particularly for the subject matter of KontrastiveKulturkunde.Keywords: greetings by name, Javanese society, GermanA.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis wujud pematuhan prinsip, strategi dan fungsi kesantunan berbahasa guru dan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar bahasa Indonesia kelas XI SMKN 2 Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simak bebas libat cakap, teknik rekam, dan teknik catat. Analisis data menggunakan metode padan ekstralingual. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya pematuhan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa yang terdiri atas pematuhan satu maksim dan dua maksim. Pematuhan satu maksim meliputi: (1) kebijaksanaan, (2) kedermawanan, (3) pujian, (4) kerendahhatian, (5) kesetujuan, dan (6) kesimpatian. Pematuhan dua maksim meliputi: (1) kebijaksanaan dan pujian, (2) kebijaksanaan dan kedermawanan, (3) kebijaksanaan dan kesimpatian, (4) kebijaksanaan dan kesetujuan, (5) kedermawanan dan kerendahhatian, dan (6) pujian dan kerendahhatian. Strategi yang digunakan dalam merealisasikan kesantunan berbahasa meliputi strategi kesantunan positif dan strategi kesantunan negatif. Fungsi kesantunan berbahasa dalam proses belajar mengajar ini meliputi: (1) menyatakan, (2) menanyakan, (3) memerintah, (4) meminta maaf, dan (5) mengkritik. Kata Kunci: kesantunan berbahasa, pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia THE REALIZATION OF LANGUAGE POLITENESS IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS OF BAHASA INDONESIA IN GRADE XI OF SMK ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the form of adherence principles, strategies, functions of language politeness of the teachers and students in the teaching and learning of Bahasa Indonesia in grade XI SMKN 2 Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This research was qualitative descriptive research. The data were collected through simak bebas libat cakap technique, recording technique, and note-taking technique. The data analysis used the extralingual identity method. The results of this research show that there is an adherence to the politeness consists of the adherence one maxim and two maxim. The adherence one maxim to: (1) the tact (2) the generosity, (3) the approbation, (4) the modesty, (5) the agreement, and (6) the sympathy. The adherence two maxim to: (1) the tact and approbation, (2) the tact and generosity, (3) the tact and sympathy, (4) the tact and agreement, (5) the generosity and modesty, (6) the approbation and modesty.The strategy used in the realization of linguistic politeness include the positive politeness strategies and the negative politeness strategies. Politeness functions in the teaching-learning process include: (1) declaring, (2) inquiring, (3) governing, (4) apologizing, and (5) criticizing.Keywords: language politeness, learning bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

Serat Wedhatama is a Javanese literary work by Sri Mangkunegara IV. Itcontains considerable piwulang luhur (or valuable teachings) in the ethics of life insocial interaction. This article concerns a research aiming at describing thetheological values in Serat Wedhatama which are often referred to as SembahRaga, Sembah Cipta, Sembah Jiwa, and Sembah Rasa. They are said to coincidewith what are usually referred to in Moslem sufism as syariat, tarikat, hakikat, andmakrifat as well as with what are always referred to in Hinduism as artha, kama,dharma, and muksa. In that work of his, Sri Mangkunegara IV is able to make asuccessful discourse of harmony among traditional Javanese principles, Islamicprinciples, and Hindu principles. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji masalah tentang aspek pengetahuan dalam tuturan bertanya guru bahasa Indonesia. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan bertanya guru bahasa Indonesia dalam proses pembelajaran.Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dengan teknik analisis kualitatif. Dari hasil analisis ditemukan empat tingkatan/level aspek pengetahuan dalam tuturan bertanya guru bahasa Indonesia, yaitu level I-Low Order Convergent, level II-High Order Convergent, level III-Low Order Divergent, dan level IV-High Order Divergent. Hasil temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran banyak ditemukan tuturan tanya guru dengan tingkat/level I. Hal ini berarti tuturan tanya guru dalam proses pembelajaran banyak menggunakan tuturan dengan aspek pengetahuan yang sederhana atau rendah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada tiga temuan terkait konten/isi dalam tuturan bertanya guru bahasa Indonesia, yaitu pertanyaan konseptual, pertanyaan empiris, dan pertanyaan nilai. Dari ketiga isi tuturan bertanya tersebut, yang paling banyak muncul adalah tuturan bertanya konseptual. Hal tersebut dikarenakan dalam pembelajaran guru banyak mengajukan pertanyaan terkait konsep materi tertentu.Kata Kunci: aspek pengetahuan, konten, tuturan, tanya, pembelajaran KNOWLEDGE ASPECT OF INTERROGATIVE SPEECH OF INDONESIAN LANGUAGE TEACHERS IN TEACHING PROCESSES  ABSTRACTThis study aims knowledge aspect of interrogative speech of Indonesian language teachers. The objectwas interrogative speechs of Indonesian language teachers. The data was analyzed by content analysis techniques. Based on data analysis reaveals four levels of knowledge aspect in interrogative speech of Indonesian language teachers: level I-Low Order Convergent, level II-High Order Convergent, level III-Low Order Divergent, and level IV-High Order Divergent. The result reaveals that interrogative speech of Indonesian language teachers level I was most frequently used. It's mean, the teachers used many interrogative speech level I or low knowledge aspect in teaching  processes.There are three contents of the interrogative speech act of Indonesian teachers in teaching processes: conceptual question, empirical question, and value question. Of the three contents of the question, the most frequently used is conceptual question, because in teaching the teachers ask more about the concept of a particular material.Keywords: knowledge aspect, content, speech, interrogative, teaching

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan yang signifikan antara model kooperatif tipe concept sentence, model kooperatif tipe think-pair-share, dan model tradisional dalam pembelajaran menulis deskripsi peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Sleman (2) manakah yang lebih efektif antara model kooperatif tipe concept sentence, model kooperatif tipe think-pair-share, dan model tradisional dalam pembelajaran menulis deskripsi peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain Randomized Control-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 3 Gamping, SMP N 2 Godean, dan SMP N 2 Gamping.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penggunaan model kooperatif tipe concept sentence, model kooperatif tipe think-pair-share, dan model tradisional dalam pembelajaran menulis deskripsi dengan nilai F =140,578 dan sig (p) < 0,05. Selanjutnya, model kooperatif tipe think-pair-share paling efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis deskripsi daripada model kooperatif tipe concept sentence dan model tradisional.Kata Kunci: keefektifan, concept sentence, think-pair-share, deskripsi THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE COOPERATIVE MODELS OF THE CONCEPT SENTENCE TYPE AND THE THINK-PAIR-SHARE TYPE IN THE LEARNING OF THE DESCRIPTIVE WRITING ABSTRACTThis study aims to investigate (1) significant difference between cooperative model type concept sentence, cooperative model type think-pair-share, and traditional model for the learning of the descriptive writing among Grade VII students at junior high schools (JHSs) in Sleman Regency (2) which one is the most effective among the cooperative model of the concept sentence type, that of the think-pair-share type, and the traditional model for the learning of the descriptive writing among Grade VII students at junior high schools (JHSs) in Sleman Regency. This was an experimental study employing the randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted in SMP N 3 Gamping, SMP N 2 Godean, and SMP N 2 Gamping.The results of the study were as follows  there was a difference among the application of the cooperative model of the concept sentence type, that of the think-pair-share type, and the traditional model in the learning of the descriptive writing with F = 140.578 and a significance value (p) < 0.05. Furthermore, the cooperative model of the think-pair-share was the most effective for the learning of the descriptive writing in comparison with the cooperative model of the concept sentence type and the traditional model.Keywords: effectiveness, concept sentence, think-pair-share, descriptive

Abstract

(Title: Construction of Da'wah Culture Emha Ainun Nadjib in the "Mocopat Syfa'at" Event as a Medium of Resistance). This research studies about discourse performance of Mocopat Syafaat as a medium resistance into interesting study. This study tries to give focus to unpack and understand how texts of discourse performance and religious music are used to construct the voices of resistance and deal with changes in socio-cultural context and politics. Norman Fairclough critical discourse analysis with a qualitative approach is used to dig deeper the role of language in the construction of discourse performance of Mocopat Syafaat. This research findings suggest that the texts of the music and the contents discourse performance of Mocopat Syafaat is a powerful cultural form to ask or raise support for a movement or a case, build solidarity and social cohesion, or promote awareness.Keywords: da'wah cultural, discourse performance, Mocopat Syafaat, resistance
