Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to describe learning behavior of single child in the school, home, and community environment based on the sociology and psychology perspective. This research used descriptive qualitative research approach. The subjects were male and female elementary school students. This research found that single children tended to less independent, less confident in learning, less social, and more discipline.

Abstract

Abstract: This study focuses on developing CD-ROM to implement Problem Based Learning Representation Models or MRB2M to teaching and learning of the mathematical problem solving ability in elementary school. This software was developed by R2D2 models that involved researchers as a core team, teacher, students, cameramen, and programmer as a participant team. The results were prototypes of teacher guides, student worksheets, the free and inexpensive materials, and CD-ROM for teaching and learning mathematical problem solving at the alpha and beta version level.

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of physical education is to build comprehensive human capabilities through physical activities medium. Objectives of this research were to analyze the needs of game forms, find games characteristic, develop book and VCD of multiple intelligence games based on Gardner Model for kindergarten and elementary school students. This research used development research approach with survey and development design. The subjects were kindergarten and elementary school teachers, educational experts, physical education experts, and educational psychology experts. The results were a guidebook of physical education theory, a book of game models, a VCD of game models.

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to investigate learning strategy of frees style swimming for elementary schools’ students related to foot striking amount and sex. The subjects were 30 girls and 30 boys’ first grade elementary schools’ students. The collected data were analyzed by two ways ANOVA and Newman Keluls test. This research found there is interaction between sex and swimming techniques training in the first grade elementary schools’ students.

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this classroom action research is to investigate the improvement of the quality of PGSD FIP UM students in science research through a PAKEM approach. Results found that there were improvements of students’ research competency in designing simple research in science at the three cycles. This research also found that students had capabilities in proposing questions, proposing opinion, conducting cooperation, and improvement learning motivation.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the present study is to formulate a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)-Based Counseling Program to reduce the distress experienced by elementary-through-higher-education students. This research employed a quantitative and qualitative approach. Results of this research found that NLP-based counseling program was effective to reduce the distress experienced by students of elementary school up to students of higher education levels.

Abstract

Abstract: Contextual teaching is a strategy that can help teachers in making relation between contents of subjects and real world context. It is also increase students’ motivation in bridging between their knowledge and the implementation to their ordinary life. The strategy is appropriate to implement in elementary school level with concrete operational thinking level. This article describes the implementation of contextual teaching strategy in teaching Indonesia language at elementary school level.

Abstract

Abstract: Information of reading profile and readers’ interaction with text in learning activity can be useful in understanding the factors that influence in determining course text book readability. The purpose of this research is to describe elementary schools’ students reading profile and their interaction with national standarized  course text-books. This research was using descriptive-analytic method. The subjects were elementary school’s students and national standarized  course text-books which were sampled by purposive technique. The results found reading activities and intensities outside learning hour was very view. The quality of text book readability was depend on vocabulary comprehension, students’ intimacy, main point students’ comprehension, the chosen discourse, attraction of the book contents, and easiness of material structure.

Abstract

Abstract: This experimental research has a purpose to describe influence of implementation numbers line variation and skills level on learning outcomes, influence of students’ level skills on students’ representation, and sum of students’ representation in answering mathematic problems. The subjects were fifth grade students at Pontianak city. Results found that implementation of empty lined number should be developed in students as a method for increasing children’s understanding about the whole numbers.
