Abstract

Abstract: PPKn is a course which emphasize on value and moral education. The effort to improving learning quality of PPKn learning it can be located on organizational strategy, management strategy, and delivering strategy. The purpose of this study is to improve PPKn learning quality in the SDS Pawyatan Daha, Kediri. The learning improvement includes empowerment of learning resource in delivering content of learning and factors influenced. The instruments of this research were participation observation, questionnaire, in depth interview, documentation, field notes, and recorded using a photo camera. The collected data were analyzed by Miles and Huberman model, i.e. data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results were: description of research location, strategy of empowerment of learning resource in delivering content of learning, and factors that is influence empowerment of learning resource in delivering content of learning. The recommendations of this research are: PPKn learning should apply learning strategy comprehensively, empowerment of learning resource comprehensively, and apply learning format using multimedia.

Abstract

Abstract: Economic stress as a consequence of multi-dimensional crisis make some members of our society become economically marginal. Some of elementary students become labor for improving their family economic condition. The purpose of this research was to identify street children who become elementary school students. The results found the intentions of the students became street children are to get some money for school tuition and to improve economic family. The management of student’s regular street activities time was based on vacancy of school time.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the study is to describe the importance of games in learning social studies in the elementary school. There are some games that can be used in learning process, i.e. concept classification or topics of learning, searching area location in the map, puzzles, and word-puzzle. Through using games in learning, students can improve their learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is developmental research using Four D Model and it is applied to 40 elementary school students at Samarinda. The research developed learning material, included learning planning, worksheet, achievement test for science materials. The learning instrument were collected three times. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. Results found that students achievement individually were increase and students achievement classically got 89% in the first research and got 80% in the second research. Students responded to equipment learning generally.

Abstract

Abstract: The basic problem of monitoring practices in elementary school is intention and socialization of good competition. This study tried to describe monitoring concepts based on quality process reformation and learning outcomes orientation. The research location is in the State Elementary School Kecamatan Lengkong, Bandung City. The data were collected by observation, in-depth interview, filling list, documentation study, and audio and tape recorder. The collected data were analyzed by members check, triangulation, and laboratory analysis. The result found that a principal stated 35 % to 40 % of the all times should be used for improving learning quality. The rest of the principal time can be allocated to leadership tasks. The result can be seen as a change of supervision function.

Abstract

Abstract: In effort to develop students with problem-solving skills, elementary school students should be trained to develop and to solve story problems in the mathematic learning. Simulation activity can be used to help students in understanding abstract mathematics concepts with concrete stuffs. This simulation is appropriate to operational concrete student’s level of thinking. The story problems in the mathematic course should give students with open ended answer chances. It can extend students reasoning.

The influence of globalization stream requires the education to form the student to have a high activity. Because of that, the children of elementary age should have high activity and have good behavior. To reach this demand, best the combination of strategy, method and medium an combination in PKn is the best instrument for of learning. Trough play a role model the students can have a high activity.

Abstract

Abstract: This article is based on the qualitative grounded research about the role of PKn as the citizen value, moral, and character education. The results of the interview from experts, history actors, and national figures, observation, and literature study concluded about the role of PKn as value and moral education had contribution to the development of the citizen character. In effort to develop autonomy citizen and democratic society PKn education should be taught through democratic way, i.e. development of citizenship literacy, social and cultural communication, problem solving, reasoning, and participation.

Abstract

Abstract: The condition of basic educational institutions in local area are mostly not very outstanding. They still face so many problems, such as: minimal facilities, low standard of teacher’s quality, lack of funding and many other problems. The effort of local governments to help solving the problems proved to be unsuccessful. This article tries to identify the Elementary School problems and to find some strategies to cope with those problems. In conclusion, the role of Elementary School master is so important to have some smart strategies to develop their school environment and strengthen their team work. For this tough job, they should master the art of management, so that they will able to cope with solving those complicated problems in their each schools.

Abstract

Abstract: Strategy of language learning can be seen as a general or a special action that is done by language learner for solving problems in language learning or non language learning. Based on information processing model in language learning, language learning strategy can be divided to cognitive strategy, meta cognitive strategy, and social strategy. Learning material development of Indonesia language in the elementary school should consider language learning that is used by language-learner so the learning material can be appropriate to learning mechanism. The appropriateness learning material and learning strategy can facilitate and accelerate language learning.
