Abstract

Abstract: The study was intended to disseminate and to test the effectiveness of integrated communicative verbal folklore based Javanese teaching and learning at elementary schools as the manifestation of culture conservation. The study used experimental research design. The subjects of the study were the teachers and the students of elementary schools in Semarang and in Banyumas. The results of the study suggested that the teaching and learning design was effective. The learning outcome of the experimental class was better than controlled class and the performance of the experimental class during the teaching and learning was more active, enthusiastic, and creative. According to the teachers’ opinion, the teaching and learning did not only teach the language, literature, and cultures but it also built the characters. Besides, this teaching and learning could be considered as an alternative of the conservation of Javanese cultures.Keywords: integrated, communicative, verbal folkloreAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesiminasi dan menguji efektivitas desain pembelajaran bahasa Jawa SD yang integratif-komunikatif berbasis folklore lisan sebagai wujud konservasi budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa SD di Semarang dan Banyumas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran ini efektif. Hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol dan kinerja siswa kelas eksperimen selama pembelajaran lebih aktif, antusias, dan kreatif. Menurut pendapat guru, pembelajaran ini selain membelajarkan bahasa, sastra, dan budaya, juga membelajarkan karakter. Di samping itu, pembelajaran ini sebagai alternatif pelestarian budaya Jawa.Kata kunci: integratif, komunikatif, folklore lisan, konservasi budaya

Abstract

Abstract: The grounded qualitative research was intended to produce a construction model of good character building according to The Best Practice of Character Building which was implemented in the best elementary schools in East Java. The results of the study suggested that the visions of schools were informed to all people involved in the schools then were understood, and the commitment to realize the visions was built. Based on the visions, character building activities were planned through the teaching and learning in the classrooms, the cultures of the schools, the extracurricular activities, and the involvement of the parents as well as the society. It could be concluded that the implementation of character building could build good characters in the elementary schools.Keywords: character building, best practices, elementary schools.Abstrak: Penelitian kualitatif dengan rancangan grounded risearch ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah konstruksi model pendidikan karakter yang baik berdasar riset di The Best Practice Pendidikan Karakter yang dipraktikkan SD-SD terbaik di Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan visi satuan pendidikan disosialisasikan kepada seluruh civitas satuan pendidikan yang bersangkutan, dipahami, kemudian membangun komitmen bersama untuk mencapai visi. Berdasarkan visi tersebut disusunlah program kegiatan pembelajaran karakter melalui pembelajaran di kelas, kultur satuan pendidikan, kegiatan ekstra kurikuler, dan pelibatan peran serta orang tua dan masyarakat. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyelenggaraan pendidikan karakter yang baik dapat menumbuhkan karakter baik di Satuan Pendidikan Dasar.Kata-kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Best Practices, sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Abstract: The current study was intended to analyze the effect of teaching and learning strategies as well as the self-concept towards the motion creativity learning outcome of the third graders of elementary schools. The study utilized experimental method with 2 x 2 factorial design. By using random sampling technique, 32 students were chosen as the samples. The results of the study suggested that (1) there was score of motion creativity between the students who joined the inductive strategy from those who joined the deductive strategy, (2) students who had high self-concept performed better motion creativity when they joined inductive strategy, (3) students who had low self-concept performed better motion creativity when they joined deductive strategy, (4) there was an interaction effect of teaching and learning strategies as well as the self-concept towards the motion creativity learning outcome of the third graders of elementary schools.Keywords: motion creativity, teaching and learning strategy, self-concept, elementary schools.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh strategi pembelajaran dan konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar kreatvitas gerak siswa kelas III SD. Penelitian mengunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain factorial 2 x 2. Teknik sampling acak sederhana dengan sample 32 siswa. Hasil penelitian (1) terdapat skor dari kreativitas gerak antara siswa yang mengikuti dengan strategi induktif dengan strategi deduktif, (2) siswa yang memiliki konsep diri tinggi menunjukan hasil belajar kreatifitas gerak lebih baik dari pada strategi pembelajaran induktif, (3) siswa yang memiliki konsep diri rendah memiliki skor lebih tinggi dengan strategi deduktif, (4) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar kreativitas gerak siswa kelas III SD.Kata kunci : kreativitas gerak, strategi pembelajaran, konsep diri, SD.

Abstract

Abstract: The current study was intended to know the managerial competences in building the school climate and the satisfaction of the teachers in West Bandung Regency. The research method used was descriptive associative. The population of teachers and principals of public and private elementary schools in Bandung Regency was 751 people. The samples which were chosen through random sampling technique were 112 people. The results of the study suggested that managerial competences had 54.8% influence on the teachers’ job satisfaction; the school climate had 44.2% influence on the teachers’ job satisfaction; managerial competences and school climate had 65% influence on the teachers’ job satisfaction.Keywords: managerial competences, principals, school climate, teachers’ satisfaction, elementary schoolAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam membangun iklim sekolah dan kepuasan guru pada sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif- asosiatif. Populasi guru dan kepala sekolah SD Negeri dan Swasta di Kabupaten Bandung 751 orang. Sampel mengacu pada sampling random sebanyak 112 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah terhadap kepuasan kerja guru sebesar 54,8%; pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap kepuasan kerja guru sebesar 44,2%; pengaruh kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dan iklim sekolah terhadap kepuasan kerja guru sebesar 65%.Kata Kunci: kompetensi manajerial, kepala sekolah, iklim sekolah, kepuasan guru, SD.

Abstract

Abstract: Verbal communication and its nonverbal elements were the base of the formation of the mindset and the positive behaviors of the first graders of elementary schools. One of the forms of the verbal communication and its nonverbal elements needed observing was the constative utterances. The constative utterances were those which were produced to say and to describe facts which the truth could be sought and their values could be seen after the teaching and learning was done. Therefore, the teachers’ skills in precisely producing the constative utterances were absolutely needed. The precision in producing the constative utterances and their nonverbal elements could improve the confidence and the learning enthusiasm of the students. Teachers should be able to produce constative utterances and their nonverbal elements effectively during the teaching and learning processes so that the goals of the teaching and learning could be achieved and the atmosphere could be conducive.Keywords: verbal communication, nonverbal elements, constative utterances, elementary schoolsAbstrak: Komunikasi verbal dan unsur nonverbalnya menjadi dasar pembentuk pola pikir dan perilaku positif siswa kelas I sekolah dasar. Salah satu bentuk komunikasi verbal dan unsur nonverbal yang perlu diperhatikan adalah tuturan konstatif. Tuturan konstatif merupakan tuturan yang pengutaraannya digunakan untuk mengatakan sesuatu, menggambarkan fakta-fakta yang bisa dicari kebenarannya, dan nilainya dapat dilihat setelah dilakukan proses pembelajaran. Untuk itu, kepiawaian guru dalam mengungkapkan tuturan konstatif dan unsur nonverbalnya secara tepat mutlak diperlukan. Ketepatan pengungkapan tuturan konstatif dan unsur nonverbalnya dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan antusiasme siswa dalam belajar. Guru hendaknya dapat mengungkapkan tuturan konstatif dan unsur nonverbalnya secara efektif dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dan suasananya menjadi kondusif.Kata kunci: komunikasi verbal, unsur nonverbal, tuturan konstatif, sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Abstract: The study was aimed to describe the teachers’ perceptions of the concepts of the authentic assessment, performance assessment, project assessment, portfolio assessment, and written tests. The results of the study suggested that the teachers’ perceptions of the authentic assessment concept were categorized as good (61.3%), the teachers’ perceptions of the project assessment were categorized as very good (70.2%), the teachers’ perceptions of the portfolio assessment were categorized as good enough (59.8%), and the teachers’ perceptions of the written tests were categorized as good (62%).Keywords: teachers’ perceptions, authentic assessment, elementary schools.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan medeskripsikan persepsi guru tentang konsep penilaian autentik, penilaian kinerja, penilaian proyek, penilaian portofolio, dan penilaian tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan persepsi guru terhadap konsep penilaian autentik termasuk kategori baik (61,3%), persepsi guru terhadap penilaian kinerja termasuk kategori baik (66,25%), persepsi guru terhadap penilaian proyek termasuk kategori sangat baik (70,2%), persepsi guru terhadap penilaian portofolio termasuk kategori cukup baik (59,8%), dan persepsi guru terhadap penilaian tertulis termasuk kategori baik (62%).Kata Kunci: persepsi guru, penilaian otentik, sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Abstract: Model of moral value education based on local wisdom for elementary school education. Purpose of the research was to product the model of moral value education based on local wisdom for elementary school education. Subjects of the research were teachers, elementary students, and Islamic elementary school. Data was collected by interview, observation, documentation, and forum group discussion (FGD). The collected data was analyzed by descriptive qualitative argumentative. Research results showed character education teaching model will effective if it implemented integrally among character education teaching with reflective method, value transformation approach, rational moral cognitive development approach, value analysis approach, value clarification approach, action (habit) teaching approach, and reward and challenge.Keywords: value education model, moral, local wisdom, elementary education Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan menghasilkan produk model pendidikan nilai budi pekerti berbasis kearifan lokal bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD). Subyek penelitian adalah guru, siswa SD, dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Pengumpulan data melalui interview, observasi, dokumentasi, dan Forum Group Discussion (FGD). Analisis data secara deskriptif kualitatif argumentatif. Abstract

Abstract: Improving quality of story telling teaching through cooperative method at elementary school in rural area. Purpose of this research was to describe improvement of process and learning achievement in story telling at an elementary school in rural area. The research was a collaborative action research among researcher, teachers, and students. Data about process and learning achievement of story telling was collected through observation, interview, and test technique. Research results showed: Firstly, with a simple and clear story stimulus complemented with cooperative method (contains 4 children), motivation in reception story stimulus, story telling practice activities, and cooperative activities in group story telling was improved. Secondly, with cooperative method, story-telling competencies was improved, especially through giving feedback among students in one group.Keywords: story telling learning, cooperative method, elementary school Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan proses dan hasil pembelajaran bercerita dengan metode kooperatif. Subjek penelitiannya siswa kelas 5 SD di kawasan pedesaan. Penelitian ini merupakan model penelitian tindakan kolaboratif antara peneliti, guru, dan siswa. Data proses dan hasil pembelajaran bercerita dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Hasil penelitian: Pertama, dengan stimulus cerita yang sederhana dan jelas serta melalui metode kooperatif yang terdiri 4 anak, motivasi meresepsi stimulus cerita, aktivitas berlatih bercerita, dan aktivitas kerjasama dalam bercerita berkelompok dapat terkembangkan. Abstract

Abstract: The study was intended to produce a Silat Pedang interactive multimedia to teach dancing course at elementary schools. The research model used was ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) for the elementary school level. The data was obtained from observation, interview, documentation study, and questionnaires which were given to the students and the teachers of the fourth grade at Tunas Unggul Olus National School. The results of the study suggested that Silat Pedang interactive multimedia could improve the effectiveness of the teaching and learning outcome because it fulfilled the requirements of relevancy, convenience, attractiveness, and expediency.Keywords: interactive multimedia, ADDIE model, silat pedangAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk multimedia interaktif silat pedang untuk pembelajaran seni tari di SD. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan kuesioner yang diberikan kepada siswa dan guru kelas 4 Sekolah Olus Nasional Tunas Unggul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif silat pedang dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran karena memenuhi syarat-syarat kesesuaian atau relevansi, kemudahan, kemenarikan, dan kemanfaatan.Kata kunci: multimedia interaktif, model ADDIE, silat pedang.

Abstract

Abstract: The classroom action research was intended to build the Indonesian characters of the students through the implementation of value clarification technique by using folklore. The subjects of the study were 32 fifth graders of Public Elementary School 03 South Pontianak West Borneo. The data was collected by using observation and interview. The results of the study showed that the value clarification technique by using folklore could build the Indonesian characters of the students. It could be suggested that the implementation of value clarification technique by using folklore should be promoted to use during the teaching and learning in order to build the Indonesian characters of the elementary school students.Keywords: value clarification technique, folklore, character building.Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan membentuk karakter ke-Indonesia-an siswa melalui implementasi teknik klarifikasi nilai berbantuan foklor. Subjek penelitian meliputi 32 siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 03 Pontianak Selatan Kalimantan Barat. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan teknik klarifikasi nilai berbantuan foklor dapat membentuk karakter ke-Indonesia-an siswa. Direkomendasikan agar pengimplementasian teknik klarifikasi nilai berbantuan foklor disosialisasikan penggunaannya dalam proses pembelajaran guna membentuk karakter Ke-Indonesiaan siswa sejak sekolah dasar.Kata kunci: teknik klarifikasi nilai, foklor, pendidikan karakter.
