Abstract

The spread of Corona virus disease-2019 (COVID-19) has had a negative impact on the tourism industry and the creative economy in Indonesia. Since February 2020 the number of foreign visitors coming to Indonesia has decreased. This also has an impact on state revenue in the tourism sector. Coupled with the existence of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) and the closure of access to and out of Indonesia, it has also caused a decrease in state revenue in the tourism sector. The purpose of this research is to find out the marketing communication of temple tourism destinations after the COVID-19 pandemic from a visitor perspective. This research is a research with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by interviewing visitors to temple tourism destinations (Prambanan Temple and Ratu Boko Temple). The conclusion from this research is that post-COVID-19 pandemic marketing communications for temple tourism destinations from the visitor's point of view have not been fully implemented. Because based on visitors, word of mouth is the strongest factor for visitors visiting temple tourist destinations.

Abstract

The development of tourism in Sumber Pakem Village has experienced ups and downs. This tourism has been operating since 2019 with the concept of batik educational tourism, but tourist visits are few. In December 2021, the Village Government innovated by establishing a Batik Cultural House, inaugurated as an Eduwisata Village. This effort is only temporary, in 2023 the Batik Cultural House will no longer be operating. This condition threatens the sustainability of Sumber Pakem tourism. This study aims to formulate a strategy for developing Sumber Pakem tourism so that it can survive. Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) is the right concept to determine the life cycle of a tourist attraction. This concept can formulate a strategy to revive a tourist attraction, each stage in the TALC model has different characteristics, challenges, and obstacles. Therefore, a different development strategy is needed. This study aims to analyze the position of the life cycle of Sumber Pakem Village appropriately, so that an appropriate and sustainable tourist attraction development strategy can be formulated. The analysis method used is descriptive qualitative. collection of primary and secondary data through interviews and direct observation. The technique for determining informants is purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used triangulation which was then analyzed using TALC and SWOT theories. The results of the study showed that the development of Sumber Pakem Village was in the Involvement cycle, so the strategy that must be implemented is to increase the involvement of pentahelix elements in the tourism planning and development process.

Abstract

Rural tourism has become an alternative concept trend in rural economic development in Indonesia in the last decade. Tourism in rural areas is a business sector expected to improve the economy of rural communities, one of which is in the Sidoharjo Tourism Village located in Kulon Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. According to data from the Tourism Village Network of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sidoharjo Tourism Village is a tourism village with a developing category because of its diverse attractions. However, initial observations show that Sidoharjo as a tourism village product has not fully fulfilled the elements of developing a tourism village ecosystem with a developing category listed in the 2021 Tourism Village Guidelines. Therefore, the revitalization of the Sidoharjo Tourism Village is significant. For that, we need to analyze the readiness of the tourism village ecosystem to support revitalization with the Community Readiness Model approach. Data collection techniques using semi-structured interviews, observation, and literature study. The study's results revealed that the people of Sidoharjo were in the pre-planning stage. This result shows that the residents of Sidoharjo are not ready to support the revitalization of the Sidoharjo Tourism Village into an advanced tourist village. The analysis results also reveal that the tourism village category developed by the government version does not match the facts at the research location. Sidoharjo Tourism Village has returned to being a tourism village in the pioneer category due to the stagnation in the development of tourism products.

Abstract

Tourism destinations represent a vital element and the primary motivator for tourists in determining their travel and visitation patterns. Consequently, it is essential to implement effective planning strategies that align with the diverse motivations of tourists. One of the scientific discussions in tourism planning or development is through network analysis. With network analysis, it can explain the relationship or relationship between tourist attractions so that in the future it can be further developed how the attraction cluster in a tourist destination can be developed and directed. This research sees that the priority in terms of centrality should be given to the many attractions in West Kalimantan. This study aims to identify relationships or relationships between tourist attractions in West Kalimantan to be able to see the trend of networking (centrality), can be in the form of centralization, connectedness, clusters, and others. This research uses a network analysis approach which in principle is divided into several methods such as centrality calculations carried out with analytical techniques/tools such as degree, closeness, betweenness, and eigenvector. From the results obtained, the cluster of tourist attractions spread evenly in each region. The tourist attraction cluster with the most interaction is located in Bengkayang Regency, Pontianak City, North Kayong Regency, Ketapang Regency, and Kapuas Hulu Regency. For tourist attraction clusters with easy access, they are in the Sambas Regency and Singkawang City areas. Clusters of tourist attractions that become hubs are located in Sanggau Regency and Ketapang Regency. Then the cluster of tourist attractions with the most central point is located in Singkawang City. The road network (access) in the configuration is very influential in the connectivity between regions in reaching tourist attractions

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world caused eventts in various countries to be canceled.  Given the importance of eventts in tourism, this study aims to analyze the organization of eventts during the pandemic: how technology plays an important role in eventts and the eventt model that eventt organizers and participants prefer. A qualitative approach was used by presenting the results of in-depth interviews and the study of documents and literature related to the study. The study concluded that technology has been used in various tourism eventts abroad including in Indonesia. 'Virtual' eventts are still a debate between 'love' and 'hate' about the experience gained by participants, the costs incurred, and the multiplier effect received by the destination. Virtual Face to Face (VFF) is a new genre for eventts in Ubud Bali with the priority eventt model being the preferred VFF Art, Culture, and Entertainment event.

Abstract

Ecovillage is a current trend because through this concept it is hoped that people in tourist villages in particular will have a culture that cares about the environment, especially being wiser in using plastic waste. This study was conducted to determine community involvement in the development of ecovillage homestays in the Panji tourist village. Through in-depth interview techniques and observations with the owners of houses used as homestays and other community components, and supported by community-based tourism theory, it was found that the development of homestay ecovillages must start from the top down to make the community aware that the potential of each house is very unique and interesting for used as a homestay. The findings show that through the development of homestays, people become aware of the importance of environmental cleanliness and the main actor that becomes the attractiveness of the homestay itself is the activities of the homeowner. The implication of this study is that the development of homestays with the ecovillage homestay concept has been able to involve the community in creating tourist attractions, as well as educating homeowners and visiting tourists to be able to maintain culture and preserve environmental sustainability in Panji Village.

Abstract

This research aim to identify the impact of tourism development from economic, social, cultural, and environmental aspects in Gumbrih Village and has never been studied comprehensively. The qualitative method is carried out by interviewing stakeholders to obtain in-depth information. The results from observations and interviews generally concluded that the impact of tourism development in Gumbrih Village has not yet had a real impact on economic, social, cultural, and environmental aspects. This is due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic being felt by the community. However, from the economic aspect before the pandemic, it was able to create jobs in businesses, but the income earned was not optimal because visitors who came still relied on the local community. From the social and cultural aspects, the community is starting to realize the importance of preserving cultural heritage, especially in indigenous culture and art because it can become one of the tourist attractions that can be developed. The development of tourism regarding environmental aspects can be maintained properly, but the community is still guided by the concept of "Tri Hita Karana" because the community believes that tourism development cannot be separated from efforts to protect the natural surroundings. This is supported by government regulations to protect the environment. Suggestions to the tourism village manager to provide a clear understanding of the tourism village development program and collaboration between elements of the village government needs to be established so that the community feels the real impact of the tourism village development.

Sustainable tourism is defined as tourism development that meets the needs of tourists while maintaining environmental sustainability and benefiting current and future generations. In an effort to support sustainable tourism in Parepare City, this research identifies the potential for educational tourism by exploring and explaining the potential for educational tourism that can be developed to support sustainable tourism. The city of Parepare has 3 destinations that have the potential to support educational tourism activities, namely the Jompie Botanical Gardens, the BJ Habibie Museum and the BRIN Earth Station Field Station Area. Data collection techniques come from primary data sources obtained directly through interviews and direct observation. Secondary data was obtained by reading literature studies such as journals, articles and the internet. At the research location, a series of intensive observations were also carried out regarding the characteristics of tourist destinations, namely attractions, accessibility, amenities, with managers directly.
