Abstract

People work for many reasons, and one of them is earning money. But in fact, earning moneyis not the only reason for this people to stay and work in that company. Based on the research, it’sfound that many factors can influence the working motivation of the people. This article explainsabout intrinsic rewards which influence the working motivation of the workers in a company. Theresult of this research can be used for giving recommendation for the company in how to give anappropriate reward for their workers.Keywords: work motivation, intrinsic rewards.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of professionalism on the tax examiner jobsatisfaction and organizational commitment and its impact on improving employee performance.All the variables were based on the results of previous research, namely: Al-Meer (1989) and McNeese-Smith (1996), Shafer et al., (2001); Sagie and Krausz (2003); Lui et al., (2003) ; Cohenand Col, (2004) and Rizvi and Eliot (2005). Use of these variables can solve problems that occuron Regional Tax Office in Semarang, namely achievement of LPP settlement that does not reachthe target. Samples are tax inspectors in Semarang, some 171 tax inspectors. Structural EquationModeling (SEM), which is run by the AMOS software was used to analyze the data, the resultsshowed that the professionalism of the tax inspector has a positive and significant impact on jobsatisfaction, organizational commitment and employee performance. Job satisfaction has apositive and significant impact on employee performance and organizational commitment has apositive and significant impact on employee performance. The empirical findings indicate that toimprove employee performance in the tax office in Semarang area, need to pay attention tofactors such as tax inspectors professionalism, job satisfaction and organizational commitmentbecause of these factors proved to influence the level of employee performance.Keywords: professional tax inspectors, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, andemployee performance.

Abstract

Intention to buy is not new in studies of consumer psychology. interpreted as an intention tobuy an estimate / prediction products to be purchased by consumers (Mowen & Minor, 2002: 322),would be attractive for producers to know what things are also affected, including localmanufacturers, one of which SMEs. However, the proliferation of persuasion to use local productsand the proliferation of SMEs as one of the producers turned out to show the contradictoryconditions. Performer MSME precisely main constraints facing competition from imported productsdue to low quality of their products. Assessment of a better quality product from the forming of aperson's perception is based on the product. Perceptions of the quality of a product can mean theoverall assessment of the consumer, which involves a process of cognitive, affective, and konasi tothe functions and advantages of products produced by manufacturers. Abstract

This research propose to examine the effect of person-organization fit on jobsatisfaction, organizational commitment, and employee performance. One hundred and fifty ninerespondents from Laksana Company, which produce autobus, located in Ungaran, Semarang,completed 42 items self-reported measures. The data collected survey method and questionnairesdistributed to respondent who have minimum three years in that job. The statistic method usedwas Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) assisted by application of AMOS 5.0 version. Asexpected, result indicated that the perception of person-organization fit has a positive effects onjob satisfaction, organizational commitment, and employee performance, while job satisfactionhave a positive effect on organizational commitment and employee performance, and thenorganizational commitment has a positive effect on employee performance. Furthermore, resultsshow that organizational commitment (especially affective commitment and continuancecommitment) have a stronger effect on employee performance than job satisfaction and personorganizationfit.Keywords: person-organization fit, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and employeeperformance

Abstract

This study tested job satisfaction has a reciprocal relationship with family satisfaction. Itshows that work and family life are two things that can not be separated within anorganization.The population in this study is one of the units government institution in the city ofSemarang, as many as 123 people. Therefore, using the census because its population is limited.The analysis using t test and bivariate with software SPSS. Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of education and training andorganizational learning to competence, the influence of education and training and organizationallearning on performance. and analyze whether the effect of competence can mediate the relationshipof education and training and organizational learning on performance. The population in this studywere junior high school teachers RSBI in Semarang, which amounts to 95 people. Researchinstrument used in testing the validity and reliability. The analysis tool used is multiple regression,hypothesis testing device using t test and mediation. Questionnaire as a means of collecting primarydata, Linkert scale of measurement used by seven (seven) of alternative answers. Secondary dataobtained from institutional documentation. Test results showed that the instrument is valid andreliable research, multiple regression produced a positive unstandardized beta for all variables. Ttest shows there is partially positive and significant influence on the variable-variable diteliti.Ujihypothesis states that the hypothesis was accepted. The results showed that: (1) education andtraining has positive and significant effect on competence (2) organizational learning has positiveand significant effect on competence (3) education and training has positive and significant impacton performance (4) organizational learning has positive and significant impact performance (5)Competence and significant positive effect on performance. (6) Competence is not effective enoughto explain the influence of education and training on performance (7) Competence able to explaineffectively influence organizational learning on performance.Keywords: education and training, organizational learning, competence and performance.PendahuluanMenurut UU No: 20/tahun 2003 tentangSistem Pendidikan Nasional, Pendidikan adalahusaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkansuasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran,agarpeserta didik secara aktif mengembangkanpotensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritualkea gamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian,kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta ketrampilan yangdiperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dannegara. Bab XIV Pasal 50 ayat 3 menyebutkanbahwa “pemerintah daerah harusmengembangkan sekurang-kurangnya satusatuan pendidikan menjadi bertarafinternasional”. Dalam upaya melaksanakan UUtersebut, Dirjen Mandikdasmen menetapkankebijakan untuk mengembangkan SekolahBertaraf Internasional (SBI). Abstract

This study explores the psychology of bias experienced stock investors when making investmentdecision. Through the within-subject experimental design, researchers conducted manipulation ontwo different tritmen conditions (frequent and infrequent), which refers to the theory of myopicloss aversion (MLA). The experimental results show a consistency to the theory of stock investorsMLA. Analysis of gender showed a similarity in terms of investor behavior between male andfemale investors. Abstract

Rapid economic growth in Indonesia creates tight competition in business,including culinarybusiness. This make businessman have to work hard to maintain old customers and attract newcustomers at the same time. One of many ways can be used to gain consumer’s purchase intentionis to create and to improve instore atmosphere and outstore atmosphere, commonly known asstore atmosphere. The aim of this research is to know the influence of store atmosphere towardsconsumer’s purchase intention in Atmosphere Resort Café Bandung. The research method used bywriter is non probability sampling by spearing questioners to 125 respondents, who areBandung’s residents ever visited Atmosphere Resort Café Bandung.Collected data then managedand analyzed using statistic test. Base on managed and processed data, it is acknowledge that sig.= 0,000 < 0,05, so rejected Ho means there are influences between store atmosphere andcustomers purchase intention in Atmosphere Resort Café Bandung, which is around 14,6%, while85,6% influenced by other factors excluded in this research. From the result, the writer try tosuggest in choosing atmosphere or theme as store atmosphere has to be well-concepted,consistent, unique, and original.Keywords: atmosphere, store atmosphere, instore atmosphere, outstore atmosphere, purchase intention.

Abstract

Advertising is one of the indicators to build a brand image in consumers' minds. Advertisingcan evolve through feedback or consumer attitudes toward advertising displayed and the brandimage the company itself. Consumer’s acceptance or rejection of advertising will be veryinfluential on the goods or services offered. Advertising is used as a stimulus to bring the responsefrom consumers. Response referred in this research is the consumer attitude. In this case can beseen that the advertising is basically intended to build an customer’s attitude (affective andcognitive). Purpose of this research is to view the relationship between the effectiveness ofpromotions that have been conducted Maranatha Christian University with purchasing decisionsof high school students in Bandung, which is moderated by consumer attitudes. The resultsobtained show that high school students' attitudes toward advertising and Maranatha ChristianUniversity itself have a good results as well as feelings of respondents toward advertising showsthat advertising is able to remind, made an impression and encouraging respondents to continuetheir education at Maranatha Christian University.Keywords: advertising attitude, consumer attitude, purchasing decision, marketing mix,advertising media

Abstract

The aim of this research is to test relation between Operating Leverage and Earning BeforeInterest and Tax (EBIT), EBIT and Earning Per Share (EPS), financial leverage with EPS andDividen Per Shares(DPS) , and relation between EPS and DPS. The samples of this research are8 companies at commerce industry of retail trade in Indonesia Stock Exchange (ISX) by selectedbased on purposive sampling. The result shows that positive relationship between EBIT and EPS,and there are no positive relationship between DOL and EBIT, DFL and EPS, DFL and DPS, EPSand DPS.Keywords: operating leverage, financial leverage, earning before interest tax (EBITt), earningper share(EPS) and dividend per share (DPS).
