Abstract

The purposes of this study were to find out (1) the relation betweenself efficacy, family social support and self regulated learning (2) the relationbetween self efficacy and self regulated learning (3) the relation betweenfamily social support and self regulated learning. The populations of thestudy were students of 8th grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah. Thetechnique sampling was cluster random sampling. The study used SelfEfficacy Scale, Family Social Support Scale and Self Regulated LearningScale to collect data about self efficacy, family social support and selfregulated learning. The data were analized by regression analysis. Theresults show that (1) there is very significantly positive correlation betweenself efficacy, family social support and self efficacy (r=0,837, p=0,000),(2) there is very significantly positive correlation between self efficacy andself regulated learning (r=0, 836, p=0,000), (3) there is very significantlypositive correlation between family social support and self regulated learning(r=0,418, p=0,002).

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kebutuhan komunikasi anak dengan pemilik kos warga masyarakat dan keluarga terhadap sikap sosial. Subjek penelit94 siswa kelas 2 SMA PIRI I Yogyakarta  yang bertempat tinggal di tempat kos apondokan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala kebutuhan komunikasi dan skala siksosial. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik regresi ganda dua prediktor, tehnik univadan korelasi jenjang pertama. Hasil uji regresi ganda pengaruh kebutuhan komunikasi anak kos dengan pemilik warga masyarakat dan keluarga terhadap sikap sosial menunjukan adanya pengaruh ysignifikan (R2) adalah 0,258.Kata kunci: kebutuhan komunikasi, sikap sosial.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to understand relationship betweenOrganizational Citizenship Behavior and Personality Factor. The subjects of this research are members of tourism police in Yogyakarta, total subject are 54 people. Data collected with two scales consist of Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale and Big Five Personality Scale. Data was analyzed with correlation product moment. The result showed there is no correlation between neuroticism and Organizational Citizenship Behavior,there is positive correlation between extraversion and Organizational. Citizenship Behavior, there is no correlation between opennes to experience and Organizational Citizenship Behavior, there is positive correlation between agreeableness and Organizational Citizenship Behavior, and there is positive correlation between conscientiousness and OrganizationalCitizenship Behavior.Keywords: organizational citizenship bhavior, personality factor, police tourism,

Abstract

AbstractProcrastination can occur to university students especially in finishing final papers. Procrastination is a behavior detrimental to oneself and others that associate with lack of ability to manage themselves. The ability of self-management is part of how someone judges and values every actions and that involve spiritual intelligence. This study examines the relationshipbetween spiritual intelligence and procrastination behavior of students who do the final paper. This research involved 62 students at the Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya. Spiritual intelligence scale and procrastination scale were used to collect the data. Results show there is a significant negative correlation between spiritual intelligence and procrastination (r = -0.307, p = 0.008, p <0.01). The higher spiritual intelligence level, the lower procrastination behavior will be and vice versa. Spiritual intelligence would lead someone to decide on appropriate actions and think about the consequences of his/her actions. Students who have high spiritual intelligence would tend to avoid procrastination behavior that disserving themselves and others.Keywords: final paper; procrastination;spiritual intelligence

Abstract

AbstrakAttitude plays a great role in student’s learning behavior. This study was designed to investigate the contributions of classroom environment to students’ attitude toward math. Participants in this study were 70 students of Etika Dharma Catholic Junior High School in Surabaya. Classroom environment was measured using adaptation of what is happening in This Class? (WIHIC) scale and attitude toward math was measured using a scale developed by the researcher. The result shows that there is a significant positive correlation between classroom environment and attitude toward math (r = 0,359, p < 0,01), which means the more positive students’ perception of their classroom environment, the more positive their attitude towards math would be. The linear regression analysis shows that classroomenvironment effectively contributes 12,9% to students’ attitude toward math (r2 = 0,129). Classroom environment can be used to predict students’ attitude toward math, with the equation Y = 48,916 + 0,229 X ± 23,023. Result shows that classroom environment has a significant influence onattitude toward math, although not too significant. This is due to the existence of other variables that may influence attitude toward math, such as achievement, peers, teacher, and other environmental factors.Keywords: attitude toward math, classroom environment,math

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between mother andchild communication with depression in adolescents. Samples of this studywere students of ‘Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 02’ Depok(Sleman), Yogyakarta, 17-18 years old and living with parents. The numbersof samples in this study were 90 people. Quantitative analysis was carriedout using quantitative method; data was retrieved using a scale of depressionin adolescent and maternal and child communication scale. Data analysistechniques used was the Pearson correlation. The analysis indicated a highlysignificant negative relationship between maternal communication andchildren with depression in adolescents, with a correlation coefficient (r) =-0.325 with (p) = 0.002 (p <0.01). Maternal communication and childrencontributed in influencing depression in adolescents was 10.5%. Based onresearch that has been done, the researcher concluded that there was ahighly significant negative relationship between maternal communicationand children with depression in adolescents. The better communication isdone on the child’s mother, the smaller the occurrence of depression inadolescents, whereas the lack of communication on the child’s mothers,the greater occurrence of depression in adolescents.

Abstract

AbstrakStudi validitas konstruk dengan menggunakan factor analisis terhadap variable-variabelpsikologis merupakan fokus penelitian yang penting dalam penelitian aspek-aspek dari berbagaivariable dependen maupun independen, tetapi validitas konstruk yang berkaitan dengan budayadpertanyakan. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengembangkan suatu kuesenair dengan ujipsikometrik untuk mengevaluasi afek remaja. Pengembangan psikometrik afek untuk remajadi smu disajikan.Alat ukur ini menggambarkan jawaban subjektif  responden thd afek remajaberkenaan dengan domain tertentu dalam kehidupan. Item penelitian berjumah 27 dengansubjek sejumlah 313 siswa dengan rentang umur 14-20 tahun. Faktor analisis menghasilkansatu faktor dari dua faktor yang ada. Kesimpulan dari kuesenair yang berhasil dikumpulkanmenunjukkan tingkat umum afek terhadap kehidupan mereka.Kata kunci : afek, validitas konstruk, analisis faktor

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of mind mappingmethod to improve the learning achievements of physics. The subjects ofthis study were students in grade VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Yogyakartawhich have average score of physics subjects below 6.5, and have theability to see and hear well. Data collection methods used in this study wasthe academic score on the physics subject of optical tools, documentation,observation and interview. This study used the experimental method ofpretest-posttest with control group design and used the t-test analysis.The results of paired sample t-test analysis in experimental group obtainedthat mind mapping method has highly significant positive effect in enhancingachievement of physics learning (t = -11.006, p = 0.000). The results ofthe paired sample t-test analysis in control group showed that conventionalmethod has insignificant influence on achievement enhancement of physicslearning (t = -1.941, p = 0.070) and the independent sample t-test in bothgroup found that there are significant difference of average (mean) posttestscore between the experimental group and control group (t = 2.144, p =0.020). The results demonstrate mind mapping method is very effective inimproving the learning achievements of physics.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to identify the usage of drugs on athletes by focusing on gender and different categories level of athletes. The sample, which was chosen randomly consisted of 115 athletes, consisting of national athletes (N=35), state athletes (N=35), district athletes (N=19), and university athletes (N=26). Based on gender, the present research consists of 70 male and 45 female athletes. Drug Usage Questionnaire, were used to collect the data. The result showed that the main motive usage of drugsis to win. This research also showed that male athletes use more drugs than females. National or athletes who represent the country are highest in using drugs. Sport psychologists should play an important role by providing therapies to drug addicts’ athletes to curb the usage of drugs. Malaysian government also should prevent athletes who taken drugs from taking part in sport competition.Key Words: coping strategy , district, drugs, representing national, state.
