Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural sebagai paradigma baru yang lahir pada akhir abad XX memiliki visi dan program mempersiapkan generasi muda menghadapi masyarakat dunia global dalam bingkai multikultural. Pendidikan  multikultural sebagai program dirancang dengan berpedoman pada dimensi: content integration, knowledge construction, prejudice ruduction, equitable pedagogy, dan empowering school culture and social structure. Melalui rancangan ini, pendidikan multikultural diimplementasikan ke dalam pembelajaran multikultural berbasis nilai kebangsaan untuk menghasilkan subyek belajar  yang memiliki kompetensi: (1) berwawasan dan berpengetahuan luas tentang konsep multikulturalisme (knowledge); (2) memiliki sikap arif dan bijak sebagai anggota masyarakat yang multikultur (disposition); dan (3) memiliki keterampilan dalam mengambil keputusan dan memberikan alternatif terhadap permasalahan multikultural dalam menjaga integrasi dan keharmonisan (skill).

Abstract

Pendidikan geografi berbasis karakter merupakan disain pembelajaran yang menyajikan konten dengan berorientasi tidak semata pada ranah pengetahuan dan keterampilan tetapi juga berorientasi pada ranah sikap. Disain pembelajaran ini dipandang efektif untuk dijadikan sebagai wahana pembelajaran kependudukan. Melalui pendekatan kontekstual, pembelajaran geografi dirancang dengan mengangkat tema-tema kependudukan sebagai tema kontekstual. Peserta didik belajar dengan pengalaman untuk mengamati, menalar, mencoba dan menyajikan alternatif pemecahan masalah-masalah kependudukan yang ada di sekitar lingkungannya. Habituasi pembelajaran seperti ini, sebagai upaya penumbuhan karakter peserta didik yang peduli dan bertanggung jawab terhadap kelangsungan kehidupan manusia di planet bumi dan belajar untuk hidup secara harmoni dengan lingkungannya.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan dan menjelaskan keadaan manajemen Dkeuangan Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) Distribution Store (Distro) berdasarkan teori manajemen keuangan khususnya dalam hal pengaturan keuangan dan fungsi manajemen keuangan. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan metode area sampling. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari kuisioner terstruktur dan kuisioner terbuka yang dibagikan kepada pelaku usaha distro. Pada kuisioner terstruktur jumlah responden adalah 55 distro dan pada kuisioner terbuka jumlah responden sebanyak 25 distro.  Metode yang digunakan dalam pengolahan data adalah metode statistik deskriptif untuk menjelaskan mean, range, minimum, maximum dan sebagainya. Dari hasil statistik diperoleh sebesar 52% distro memiliki pemasukan lain selain usaha distro. Kemudian 51% pengusaha distro telah memaksimalkan menggunakan dana untuk keperluan perusahaan. Dari segi pembiayaan, sebesar 64% distro menggunakan hutang. Dari segi tabungan, sebesar 78% distro memiliki tabungan di bank. Akan tetapi, sebesar 55% distro yang memisahkan tabungan pribadi dengan tabungan perusahaan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebesar 92,73% distro telah memiliki predikat pengaturan keuangan yang baik. Dari segi keuntungan, distro memiliki keuntungan atau laba bersih rata-rata 5% dari total investasinya setiap bulan. Dari segi DER (Debt Equty Ratio), rata-rata distro memiliki rasio DER 0,8:1.  WCTA (working capital to total asset) atau aktiva lancar yang dimiliki distro rata-rata sebesar 33,98% dari total asset yang dimiliki.

Abstract

This research porposes to understand growth and spread of population in Province of North Sumatra. The method used here is decriptive analysis of secondary data with the spatial approach. Whereas the object of research are the number of population, the population growth, and spread of population of North Sumatra Province based on 2010 census of Indonesian pupulation. The outcome of research represents that the population growth of Province of North Sumatra from 2000 to 2010 average of 1,22 percent per year. Then, the highest population growth found in Regency of Middle Tapanuli (2,46 percent), followed by Regency of Karo (2,17 percent), and South Tapanuli Regency (2,12 percent). Meanwhile the lowest population growth found in Siantar Town (-029 percent) and followed by Toba Samosir Regency (0,38 percent) and Simalungun Regency (-0,46 percent). As the spread of pupulation in the North Sumatra Province is not prevalent, as the settlements spreads nearly 62,87 percent on the east coast region, whereas only 3,05 percent on the west coast, and the rest 4,85 percent on the Nias Islands.

Abstract

The government faces quite big constrains in the implementation of rural development due to the aspects of Geography, Topology, Demography, infrastructure availability, poor human resources, and relatively low rural institutional capability. One of the very important attempts which needs to be carried out by Central Government and Local Government is to encourage, promote, develop and actualize the power and ability of the rural communities themselves. The power and ability sourced and found in the rural communities themselves is defined as “Community Participation”. This study  used the primary data obtained through interviewing the respondents (local community) and the secondary data obtained from the data of Subdistrict Government of Teluk Mengkudu, Statistic Coordinator of Teluk Mengkudu Subdistrict, Community Empowerment and Rural Government Board of Serdang Bedagai District. The result of this study showed that, based on the result of regression equation, the coefficient value of village competition was 0.6071 with sig.t = 0.000. Since the value of sig.t was < α (0.05), Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, village competiton had a significant influence on the initiatives of the community in developing their village in Teluk Mengkudu Subdistrict. Then, from the other regression equation, it was found out that the coefficient value of village competition was 0.3278 with sig.t = 0.0156. Since the value of sig.t was < α (0.05), Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, village competition had a significant influence on the active participation of the community in developing their village in Teluk Mengkudu Subdistrict. The positive sign of coefficient value of village competition showed that if Village Competition is increasingly enhanced, that intiative of the community in developing their village in Teluk Mengkudu Subdistrict is also increasingly increased or both variables had unidirectional relationship. The conclusion drawn from the result of this study is that Village Competition is one of the activities done by both Central Government and Local Government in theirn attempt to educate their people to increase their initiatives and active participation to develop their villages.

Abstract

This research aims at understanding factual depiction regarding implementation of learning method of active debate in improving speaking skills on the subject of Bahasa Indonesia at the sixth grade of Primary School 2 of Klieng, Aceh Besar Regency in 2012/ 2013 School Year. The research uses two cycles of the action research which are each cycle consists of four stages such as : planning, acting and observing, reflecting and revising. The object of the research is the 30 pupils of sixth grade of Primary School 2 of Kling, Aceh Besar Regency, Province of Aceh. The data collected here are test result, observation sheet of learning processes. In the first cycle the achieved average score was 6.57, as in the second cycle the average score climed to 7.57, and experienced an increasing again in third cycle on 8.33 score. Except the average score, the students activity also experienced elevating quality such as asking question at first cycle agregates 16.67 percent, then 10 percent at the second cycle, and 25 percent at the third cycle. Whereas responsing of clasmates askings, at the fist cycle agregates 21.67 percent, then 13.34 percent at the second cycle, and 18.43 at the third cycle. Furthemore aspect of paying attention on teacher explanation at the first cycle agregates 71.67 percent, then 85 percent at the second cycle, and finally 96.67 percent at the third cycle. While, aspect of discussion at the first cycle agregates 81.67 percent, then 86.67 percent at the second cycle, and 100 percent at the third cycle.

Abstract

Billboards, banners, posters, flags, photographs, and the other campaign medias in various sizes, were crowded the private and public spaces of the city.  As if, what were displayed in our daily was the truly images of the candidates of leader and public officials, and does not seems concerned with the aesthetics of the city and public opinion. The aesthetics of spatial order of the city became chaotic due to almost all of political parties did not concern the regulation of General Election Commission No. 15 of 2003. As a regu-lation which was enacted for regulating of displaying campaign medias which are potentially chaotic, and to maintain the order and aesthetics of the city. The campaign medias were not placed on praying homes, hospitals, or the places of health services, government office buildings, educational buildings, higway, infrastructure and public facilities, and city parks (Article 17 General Election Com-mission regulation No 15 of 2013)

Abstract

The result of the research showed that Marindal I village fell under self-supporting village. The determinant factors of village typology indicated that Marindal I village tended to have the characteristic of urban life, viewed from the population density of 2.692 person per square kilometer. 98.59 % of the people’s livelihood at Marindal I village was non –agrarian. Education at Marindal I village made it a self-supporting village or developing village because 92,49 % of its people were SD (Elementary School)graduates. Custom at Marindal I village was no strict, were only three adat ceremonies. In village equipment and infrastructure, Marindal I village was in (3,11 %). The people’s social life at this village was not very good, and it seemed that it lacked of sense of togetherness. Abstract

This research aims to examines whether using genious-based learning strategy could increase learning activity in the subject of civic education for students in the eleventh grade department of electro in SMK 1 of Lhoknga in 2013/2014 school year. The action research has two cycles in which each cycle consists of four stages such as planning, implementing and observation, reflecting and revising. The subject of the research is 17 students  in the eleventh grade department of electro in SMK 1 of Lhoknga, Aceh Besar Regency, Province of Aceh. The data have been collected are test result and observation sheet of learning activity. Based on the result could be concluded that genious-based learning strategy can be used as s strategy to increase student’s learning activity, learning outcomes, and increase the quality of learning processes held by teacher in which learning activity, learning outcome, and teacher’s ability, might be elvate in every cycle. The learning activity increased from 64.71 percent at the first cycle (category sufficient) became 72.9 percent with good category at the second cycle. While the teacher’s ability in the teaching-learning processes increased from 62.5 percent with sufficient category at te first cycle to 72.9 percent with good category at the second cycle. As the learning oucome increased from 64.71 pecent with category passed at the first cycle to 82.35 percent with category passed at the second cycle.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural and developing country. Yet nowadays many social problems are taking place in various fields of life. By comparing with the other multicultural country in the ASEAN region, it is still being left behind by Singapore and Thailand. As the November 1997 monatary crises, so that implied to another sectors. Consequently, cultural capital as collective power of community such as togetherness, solidarity, cooperation, tolerance, trust, and responsibility which are hold by each community members, have been weakening even nearly broken. Such dynamic and developing society like Indonesia very need attention. As national and local leader, the experts in social and educational matter obligated to serve as agent of social change for the society. Th plural condition of Indonesian society such as ethnic, race, religion, and social status to contibute on development of society. Therefore, containing multicultural matter to education system is very important, either as substance or model of learning due to could contribute in debriefing, developing insight and personality of students. Beside it practices students in facing social problem in middle of their community.
