Abstract

This research purposes to understand the direct and indirect impact of ‘Third Party Funds’, ‘Non Performance Loan’, ‘Return On Assets’ and ‘Capital Adequacy Ratio’ to Banking Lending. Population of the research is ‘go public’ commercial bank in Indonesia in which 23 of them taken as sampel of research which were selected purposively based on the assumption that they became ‘go public’ in the period of 2008-2012. Whereas, the data analyzed by path analysis technique, while both ‘t-test’ and ‘correlation test’ were used in testing of hypothesis. Then, the finding shows that both variable of ‘third party funds’ and ‘return on assets’ impact significantly to ‘Capital Adequacy Ratio’. Furthermore, the ‘Third Party Funds’ and ‘return on assets’ impact positively to the Banking Lending, while Non-Performance Loan and Capital Adequacy Ratio impact significant negatively to Banking Lending

Abstract

Poverty can be  solved by various ways in which one of them conducted by using coconut shells  to be souvenirs that based on cultural values as an alternative method in decreasing poverty. Management of production does not spend more cost as the material used also could be found easily. Beside to help elevating economic of household producers, it also could be synergy with ‘go green’ program in recycling waste of coconut shells converting to high value objects. The souvenirs which have been produced, firstly would be sold to stakeholders such as wealther local communities, Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Regional-Owned Enterprise (ROEs), State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), universities, and exported abroad.  Finally, using coconut shells to be cultural souvenirs, will have helped the Indonesia people as well as to know and to hold their culture

Abstract

This research focuses on the ‘plaited horse dance’ Abadi Performing Arts in Tanjung Morawa A, Medan City North Sumatra, which is still alive, although it has been too long and too far from the origin. The horse dance has passed down by the descant of Javanese which have lived in North Sumatra for several generations. As common sense that the performing art has spread widely to several region out of Indonesia brought by Javanese people as migrant such as in Malaysia, Suriname, Hongkong, Japan, and United States of America. It is considered as one of Javanese arts which brought by Javanese wherever we live in line with their migration purposes area. Javanese community overseas, usually still hold the horse dance performing art for event related to the human cycle of life, including as part of their ritual ceremony or merely such entertainment for the people. In 1st suro (muharram, the first month in islamic calendar) commemoration, the horse dance performing art usually also staged.

Abstract

In the modern era, population problems considered as one of the important thing which should be solved seriously by government agencies through ‘human-welfare’ based policy regarding population for contributing to minimize the population problem and di-rectly for successing development. That is why in the  context of developmental policy, residents must be considered as subject, not as object of development. The population based policy must immediately formulated as guidelines for directing development implemen-tation comprehensively and synergy in producing human resources which able for global competition. Synergycity population based policy with quality of human resources, requiring quality education as a systematic method for improving Indonesian people by several quality such as life skills, personal skills including self awareness and thinking skills, and social skills, academic skills, and vocational skills.

Abstract

This study reveals that there is an increasing learners activity after learning by story telling method in the Kindergarten of Musara Ate, Blang Kolak 1, District of Bebesan, Central Aceh Regency, Province Aceh in 2014/2015 school year. In the beginning, there were difficulties faced by children  in terms of speaking skills in telling information orally in learning processes. The difficulties mainly in to comment on their lessons in the classroom. Secondly, learners always confused and difficult to get inspired to speak. Third learners mostly silent when the teacher opens the question and answer session, so the level is very low speaking learners. In addition to these problems, the students lack motivation in learning noticed that interest to argue no idea who will be disclosed. This study uses action research (action research) as much as two cycles. Each round consists of four phases: design, action and observation, reflection and revision. Based on these results it can be concluded that the activities of learners per cycle increased significantly. Of the five aspects of the observations which is an indicator of student learning activities that liveliness asked, express opinions, answer questions, active in doing the task, working in groups active in most of the authors observe already mastered.

Abstract

Many issues of gender inequality surrounding us still not yet seriously solved by all elements of society. Women have more experience in disadvantages rather than men in the fields of education, health, employment, having and using science and technology. As may be seen with the still frequently occur violence against women, trafficking of women and children, pornography, the employment of women as problems of migrant workers and migrant workers abroad, lower participation of women in politics, and in the field of education, especially at the senior high school and higher education. For solving that, efforts in eradicating gender discrimination and developing potency which can support gender equality must be conducted continuously. Despite Constitution of 1945 ensures equality between men and women in accessing the fields, but in application still faced by many obstacles, for instance culture of patriarchy still remained and perpetuated by most of Indonesian people. Therefore increasing the women’s role in gender-based development as integral part of national development, has important meaning as effort to realize harmonious equal partnership between men and women, which in other word, to realize gender equity and equality in various fields of life and development.

Abstract

This writing deals with developing moral values by the ‘project citizen’ through several stages of its learning. Hopefully this article could act its role in enlightening and motivating for the teachers to be able to use this model later. Starting from the idea of character building by John Dewey (1859-1952) through the flow of Progressivism. He explains that "schools should make students as citizens to be more democratic, free thinking and intelligent". It can be interpreted that the role of the school as an institution must provide learning that can develop a wide range of student competence. The most appropriate learning strategies to achieve what is thought of this school is by using learning model of ‘project citizen’. This model is basically based on the strategy of inquiry learning, discovery learning, problem solving, and research-oriented learning. From the experiments which conducted, using the model is able to achieve competency in the subject of Civic Education. The model of project citizen learning has become the best model, which is able to develop the character of students through the process of participative learning. Therefore, educating character as a pillar of our national education goals, could be developed through the learning model of project citizen.

Abstract

The Makyong traditional theatre is a Malayan performing art belong to the indigenous Malays people in North Sumatra, which is knownly originated from Malaysia and Thailand. It was acculturated intimately with the North Sumatra malay costums since had been develop-ped and staged by Royal of Serdang Sultanate. The traditional theatre then had become a entertainment form by for the people in which it performed entertainly and comical staging for refreshing the audience. Nowadays it is a folk art form which  has revived by urban community that performs humors and jokes as the dominant feature in the show. It is staged by spend approxi-mately one and a half hour where it becomes more fascinated in watching in term merely several aspect such as artistics, meanings, symbols, and other which are trapped audience in hard thougth.

Abstract

This research aims to indentify the potency and suitability of land for cropping corn, and considering suitability of given input with limiting factors. The research have taken place since May to October 2006 in Saentis Village, District of Percut Sei Tuan. It focus on three types of land such as Alluvial, Regosol, and Organosol which are placed on 4 metres above sea level. By using method of des-criptive survey and sampling of the three land types, resulting that there is a tight significant relation between characteristic of land and production of corn. On the type of S3 m Alluvial with 33 of land index, including marginal suitable with middle level of limiting factors, at KTK, N total and P is available. Through giving urea and TSP, and adding organic materials, there was a shifting of class to S2 m which is marginal suitable with middle limiting. On the Regosol type of land, class of suitability of land categorized S3 m and 34 index of land, categorized marginal suitable with middle level of limiting factors, N total, and P is available. With adding anor-ganinc and organic materials, there was elevating one class to suitability level became S2 m (suitable). On type of Organosol, suitabi-lity of land categorized S2 and 74 of land index, categorized suitable with one limiting factor of availability of P, but if adding anor-ganic material added, suitability of land can be increase to one level become S1 (most suitable).

Abstract

This research aims to boosts learning outcome by using method of inquiry on the subject of Economy at grade XI in SMA 12 of Medan in 2013/2014 school year. The teaching method used was method of inquiry. Whereas the tools of collecting data used were obser-vation and essay test at the and of interfering class had done. The research consists of two cycle, which both the first and second cycle consists of the problems and steps of planning, implementing, observating, data analysing and reflecting. The result of research shows that using method of inquiry on subject of Economy can be elevate learning outcome of students at grade XI in SMA 12 of Medan in the 2013/2014 school year. It can be viewed by average of the first test score of 42.1 with passing level of 10.5 percent. Yet after treating class of first cycle, average score of students’ learning achievement increased on 61.6 with completing learning level on 31.6 percent. While in the second cycle students’ average score climbed to 78.9 with completing learning level on 86.8 percent. Then it can be infered that using method of inquiry on subject of Economy could be elevate learning incomes of students at class XI in SMA 12 of Medan.
