Abstract

(Title: The Analysis of Loan Words of English Language Transformed into Japanese Language (Study of Generative Transformational Phonological) The aims of this research are to explain the phonological processes and phonological rule in loan words of English language into Japanese language through generative phonological studies. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The research data are taken from Japanese dictionary loan words. The result shows eight phonological processes and phonological rules in the process of transformation English language to Japanese. (1) the process of adding segment /u/ at the end of the words (2) segment additions /o/ at the end of the words (3) segment additions /u/ in the middle of words  (4) segment additions /o/ in the middle of words (5) substitution of phoneme /l/ to /r/, (6) substitution of phoneme /v/ to /b/, (7) segment additions /i/, (8) substitution of phoneme /t/ to /c/. The transformation of phonological processes on the loan words of English language into Japanese language affected by the internal factor.

Abstract

(Title: Use of Illocutionary Particle in Japanese Language). The purpose of this study is to explain the use of illocutionary particles ne and yo, the pragmatic meaning generated from a speech and how the influence of the existence of each of these particles in a speech. Because ne and yo are pragmatic rather than semantic and this nature only occurs in verbal interactions, this article takes data from data sources, such as Japanese dramas and Japanese short stories. The data was collected using the observation method through recording and note-taking techniques, and then analyzed using contextual method.From the results of data analysis it was found that ne particles are used when  a) request confirmation or ensure information, b) request or seek agreement, c) soften speech, and d) marking the feelings felt by the speaker. While yo particles are used when  : a) confirming the question to get a response or reason, b) marking that information (statement) is something new for the listerner, c) emphasizing or affirming a matter/action intended by the speaker in his speech, d) marking speech means encouraging, e) marking utterances that contain expressions of the feeling of the speaker, and f) marking the urge to take action.

Abstract

 ~Nda form that appear at the end of the Japanese sentence serves as the modalities of explanation and conjecture. This modalities often used in conversations. Therefore it may be expressed this modality has a significant role in building a Japanese sentence structure. This study focused on the use of the modality ~ noda through speech tangible examples of data taken from the drama series Kareni yoroshiku Sono toki (2007). From the data source will get a variety of shapes ~ nodesu, as well known in the utterances with what illocutionary ~  nodesu used, and how the role of ~ nodesu in the utterance. In order to get the results of the analysis in accordance with the problem, then the data were analyzed using mean semantics or pragmatics with contextual analysis method and the padan analysis method. Based on the analysis, it is known modality ~ noda possible to be able to appear and be used in utterances that contain illocutionary meaning: to say to the form ~ nda, apologized to the shape of ~ ndesukedo, inquire with the form ~ ndesuka, blaming the form ~ ndayo, thanks to ~ ndesune form, stating the form ~ ndatte, assured by the shape datte ~ ndayo.

Abstract

[Title: MINWA: The Reflection of Japanese society’s Life ] Folklore is part of a collective culture that is spread and passed down from generation to generation. In this paper we will discuss about the type of oral folklore that developed in Japan. This exposure focuses on an explanation of the values of life contained in all three. The values of life discussed include religious values, social values and moral values. By knowing these values can be known also things that became the origin of the formation of Japanese society identity. The results of this research is that folklor which in Japan known as Minwa, can be categorized into 3 types and knows as Shinwa, Densetsu and Mukashi Banashi. In the three types of folklore Mukashi Banashi is a type of folklore that is full of life values. In mukashi banashi the religious values, social values and moral values described not only in all the elements of the story builder, but they are expressed in more detail.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a diverse culture, ethnicity, language, and rich tourism potentials. However, many people abroad who do not know about the diversity of Indonesian culture. The younger generations were much less aware of even less have sufficient of the richness of the culture of Indonesia. The knowledge about Indonesian culture of Japanese Language Education students Semarang State University, is still inadequate, so they can not be explained to the Japanese society apropiately, not good enough. Therefore students need to be given education by developing blog that contains Indonesian culture which is written in Japanese. The purpose of this study was developing a blog that can be a means of learning the culture. The method used is the Research and Development (R & D), with a step preliminary studies, product development, and product validation testing. Data was collected by questionnaire. Japanese expert validation results towards this blog are considered quite good as a means of studying Indonesian culture with an average score of 2.7 on the aspects of the format, quality, clarity, and clarity of language.

Abstract

(Title: The Reproduction Of Metabo Law Discourse In Constructing Fat Characters Stereotype In Japanese Animes) Japanese government through Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) in 2008 issued the Metabo Law regulation, which is the standard of medical and health guidance that is done specifically with the purpose to decrease the number of obesity which cause the metabolic syndrome. This regulation put the body of each individual to be open to the public. Using Foucault’s perception, this study look how Metabo Law works and how the reproduction of Metabo Law discourses constructing stereotype of fat character in Japanese anime. This study took data from 14 fat character in 13 anime, airing in 2008’s until 2015’s. To complete the data, interview were conducted on 5 Japanese about their understanding about Metabo Law. This study shows that with the normalization process using yearly general checkup and the reproduction of Metabo Law discourses, Japanese government successfully change the Japanese mindset and their behavior in maintained a healthy life style and to stay slim. The stereotype of the fat character that emerge as the product of reproduction of Metabo Law discourses is greedy, careless, cowardly, shy/ have low self-confident, and an otaku.

Abstract

This research entitled The Religion Concept in The Life of Japanese Cociety. The main goal of this reserach is to know about The Religion Concept in The Life of Japanese Cociety. This research is combination between field and liblary reserach. Main method are observation, interview, interpretation. The research show Shinto and Buddhism are the main religion in Japan. The Japanese society has unique the life of religion which diferent compared with many other country. For Japanese people religion is not important things. Religion is thougt as one of culture product so can be amended as they like. They mix one religion with the other religion in ritual or religion ceremony.

Abstract

Pokemon Go is a smartphone game that blends the real and digital worlds, tasking players with exploring their neighborhoods to find creatures and treasure for in-game use. This research describes the ways Japan uses its soft power in international coorporation relations, particulary through Pokemon Go’s game. Based on Joseph S. Nye, Jr, the soft power defined as the ability of country to achieve its goal using cultural attraction rather than coercion and violence. After the World War II, Japan has tried to change its image as war crime through popular culture, such as anime, manga and cosplay. According to Nye, Japan has more potential resources in soft power compared to the other countries. This research is focus on Popular Culture of Pokemon Go’s Game as Japan’s Soft Diplomacy. Pokemon Go is one of  Japan’s cultural diplomacy activities and the other countries uses popular culture to strengthen the positive image of Japan in the international world. The development of popular culture as a soft power and soft diplomacy also a diplomacy tool of development that can be used by Japan in conducting foreign policy in relation to international cooperation.

Abstract

(Title: Multimedia Sensibility And Its Relation With Difficulties In Japanese Language Learning) The development of technology and the popularity of multimedia as a means of conveying information have conditioned society to change into a multimedia community with unique characteristics, sensibility, and needs. This study aims to see the effect of multimedia sensibility on the difficulties in the process of learning Japanese. Data were taken from a survey conducted on the students and analyzed using concepts related to the characteristics of the multimedia society. The results of this study show that multimedia sensibility has an effect on student’s difficulties in understanding learning materials delivered using different media. The new needs of the multimedia society have to be answered with various adjustments. However, by only paying attention to the multimedia sensibility and needs, there is a possibility that learning activities become less reliable in sharpening analytical skills. Therefore, choosing the right materials and methods is important so that the learner’s interest can be sustained by adjusting to their needs and sensibility, and also considering activities that can sharpen other abilities, such as analytical skills, which is very important for student self- development.

Abstract

This paper is titled Theme of Love in Mishima Yukio’s Shiosai. The purpose of writing is to reveal the major themes in Mishima Yukio's Shiosai and its relationship to other structures, especially figures and characters, plots and backgrounds. The analysis uses structural methods that have the concept that in a building of a literary work consists of interrelated and inseparable structures. The results of this paper indicate that the theme of love is a major theme that is evidenced by the correlation and relationship of love problems with other structures, especially figures and characterizations, plot, and background.
