Jurnal Keperawatan (Jkp) Universitas Sam Ratulangi adalah jurnal yang didirikan oleh Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sam Ratulangi. Abstract

Background :The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the world of education, namely the change in online learning methods implemented by the government has caused students to experience academic stress. Social support is one way to reduce students' academic stress levels during online learning. Aim :The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between social support and students' academic stress levels during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods :The method used was a cross sectional design and a research sample of 235 respondents using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. This research was conducted online using a social support instrument, namely the MSPSS (Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support) questionnaire and an academic stress level instrument, namely the PASS (Perception of Academic Stress Scale) questionnaire. Data analysis uses Spearman rank correlation. Results :The results of this research show that p < 0.05 with a significant value of p = 0.00 and a correlation coefficient (r) = -613 so that there is a relationship between social support and students' academic stress levels which protect them during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19 with a strong correlation between the 2 variables. Conclusion : Social support obtained from parents, friends and special people has an important role and positive influence on reducing academic stress levels in students during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Background :Stunting has an impact on individuals, families, communities and countries. The individual impact of stunting includes, among other things, causing brain growth disorders which can result in permanent disruption of brain function. Stunting occurs due to many factors, including immunization status and exclusive breastfeeding. Aim :The aim of the research is to analyze stunting in toddlers based on immunization status and exclusive breastfeeding. Methods :Research methods quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. The population was 1,361 toddlers with a sample size of 93 toddlers. Results :The results showed the highest basic immunization status was complete, namely complete, 81 people, the highest exclusive breastfeeding, namely 76 people were given exclusive breastfeeding, and the highest incidence of stunting, namely not stunting (normal), 72 people and 21 toddlers experienced stunting, between the incidence of stunting and the immunization status obtained. The value of p value=0.000<0.05 and the incidence of stunting with exclusive breastfeeding was obtained by the value of p value=0.000<0.05. Conclusion :There is a relationship between stunting in toddlers based on immunization status and exclusive breastfeeding in Tilango Health Center.

Abstract

Background:Preceptors play an important role in clinical guidance, namely guiding andeducating preceptees to become professional nurses. Preceptors have duties as educators andclinical officers who are often constrained by time and workload. When teaching, preceptorsneed methods or strategies so that learning objectives can be achieved and are effective.Objective: The aim is to analyze the competency gap for Clinical Nurses 3 in clinical guidancecapacity at Cibabat Cimahi Regional Hospital. Method: The design of this research is actionresearch. Taking total sampling, the research reached stage 2 of the 4 stages of actionresearch.Results: the results of Clinical Nurses 3 , Nurse Competency in implementing clinicalguidance for students are still low. Part A regarding student evaluation, the average score is31.319 with 22 people with high competency and 25 people with low competency. Part B isabout determining individual goals and teaching, the average score is 42.1 with 17 people withhigh competency and 30 people with low competency. Part C is about determining teachingstrategies, the average score is 60.8 with 18 people with high competency and 29 people withlow competency. Part D regarding knowledge demonstrations held, the average score was 17with 20 people with high competency and 27 people with low competency. Abstract

Background: Hypertension in pregnant women (preeclampsia or eclampsia) is a serious health problem that can occur during pregnancy. Hypertension in pregnant women is a condition of increased blood pressure that occurs after 20 weeks of gestation. This condition can have a serious impact on the health of the mother and the fetus she is carrying. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between stress and the incidence of hypertension in primigravida pregnant women. Method: This research design is quantitative research with an analytical survey method using a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was all pregnant women who came for pregnancy check-ups, namely 172 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, the sample size was 75 respondents. Results: There is a significant relationship between stress and the incidence of hypertension in pregnant women (P < 0.05).Conclusion: High level of stress in pregnant women can increase the risk of hypertension during pregnancy. Therefore, healthcare professionals need to pay attention to stress factors in the management of maternal health to prevent hypertension occurrences. Keywords: Hypertension; Pregnant Women; Stress

Abstract

Background: Spirituality helps elderly people adapt to changes within themselves. The process of healing chronic diseases in the elderly requires good spirituality. However, in reality, there are still many elderly people who have low spirituality. Objective: This research aims to describe the spiritual needs of elderly people with chronic illnesses who live alone in the Mojokerto District Health Service Work Area. Method: Observational descriptive research design. The sample consisted of 210 elderly people who were taken by purposive sampling in the Mojokerto Regency Health Service Work Area. The spiritual needs questionnaire instrument adopted by researchers from Ummah (2017) to identify spiritual needs consists of 25 questions. Results: The results of the study showed that the spiritual needs of elderly people with chronic illnesses were on average in the sufficient category. Conclusion: Respondents who have spiritual needs are good because they are good at connecting with other people, nature/the environment, and God. Health workers at Posyandu activities provide information about the importance of spirituality and how to increase spirituality in the elderly by participating in religious activities already carried out by the elderly in their daily lives. Abstract

Background :Obesity is excess body fat that accumulates and is stored in fatty tissue, causing weight gain. Factors causing obesity in adolescents are genetics, physical activity, lifestyle, health, psychology, poor diet, nutritional intake, duration and quality of sleep, as well as sedentary life style. Objective: to analyze the risk of obesity in adolescents based on physical activity, sleep quality and eating patterns. Method: Quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population was 38 teenagers with a sample size of 30t eenagers. Results: Based on the results of the Kendal Tau test, it was found that there was a significant relationship between physical activity, sleep quality and diet (carbohydrate intake and fat intake) with the risk of obesity (p<0.05). Multivariate analysis results showed that’sleep quality factors significantly influenced the risk of obesity (p<0.05). Conclusion: Sleep quality, physical activity, diet (carbohydrate intake and fatintake) are related to the risk of obesity and there are sleep quality factors that influencethe risk of obesity in adolescents (p<0.05).   Keywords: Eating patterns; Physical activity; Sleep quality; Teenagers

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is often referred to as the "silent killer" because people with hypertension often do not feel signs and symptoms. In 2022, the incidence of hypertension at the Jalan Kutai Health Center, Bencongan Indah Village, was 2,854 people. The process of monitoring, maintaining, and preventing complications of hypertension requires the role and support of the family to carry out family health tasks. Objective: This study aimed to identify the correlation between economic factors and family health tasks for people with hypertension in Bencongan Indah Village. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive research method with a cross-sectional approach and bivariate data analysis. Samples were selected using the purposive sampling method, with a total of 114 participants calculated using the Lemeshow formula. The research instrument was a modified questionnaire with 25 questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. Results: The study found that the ability of families to recognize health problems was still low (58.8%), the ability of families to decide on appropriate health measures was high (71.1%), the ability of families to care for sick family members was high (58.8%), the ability of families to modify the environment was still low (57%), and the ability of families to utilize health facilities was high (52.6%). There was no relationship between economic factors, as described by monthly family income, and family health tasks (p-value > 0.05). Conclusion: It is expected that families will be able to recognize the health problems of sick family members and make changes or modifications to their environment to support the care of family members who face health problems

Abstract

Introduction : Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. tuberculosis bacteria can be spread through the air when a person with tuberculosis coughs, sneezes or talks and can be transmitted to other people directly or indirectly. Prevention of tuberculosis consists of implementing cough and sneeze etiquette behavior, wearing a mask, disposing of sputum in a special place, separating personal equipment from people with tuberculosis, maintaining the cleanliness of the home and surrounding environment, eating nutritious food, eating a healthy diet, maintaining proper housing density, seek treatment when symptomatic, wash hands and do not smoke. Objective: This study aims to determine the behavior of the community in an effort to prevent the transmission of tuberculosis in a neighborhood of Curug Kulon village, namely RT 001 / RW 07 Candu village. Methods: This type of research uses a descriptive quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples in this study the instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 14 questions. Data analysis using Microsoft Excel. The research was conducted in March 2024. Result: The results stated that the behavior of preventing Tuberculosis transmission in residents of RT 001 / RW 07 Curug Kulon village 55.22% had good behavior, 44.03% had sufficient behavior and 0.75% had poor behavior. Conclusion: The research results show that the majority of residents' behavior towards preventing tuberculosis transmission is in the good category. Therefore, Curug Kulon residents are expected to always implement behavior to prevent the transmission of tuberculosis. Keywords: Mycobacterium Tuberculosis;Prevention;Behaviour

Abstract

Background : Stunting is a condition where a child experience growth disorders and the child’s height does not match his age. Early marriage is a legal marriage by someone who does not have the preparation and maturnity, causing several risk and major impacts, especially on health. Objective : This research aims to determine the relationship betwen young mothers’ knowledge level and the incidence of stunting in the working area of the Tilango Public Health Center working area. Methods  This research is quantitative research with cross-sectional data. The sample includes mothers aged 10-20 years in the working area of the Tilango Public Health Center, totaling 35 respondets determined using the total sampling. Results : The study result showed that most mothers’ knowledge level is less knowledge, with 21 respondents (60%). Meanwhile, the incidence of stunting in the Short category was 18 respondents (51,4%). The statucal test result showed a p-value = 0,000 (p-value < 0,05). Conclusion : The conclusion is to determine the relationship between the young mothers’ knowledge level and the incidence of stunting in the Tilango Public Healt Center working area. Abstract

Background: Development is the increasing ability of a child where in this case toddlers need special needs. Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between Mother's Emotional Intelligence and the Development of Children Aged 1-3 Years at Balam Health Center Medan. Method: This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional research design. Population are 60 respondents. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Result:  show that the mother's emotional intelligence was good (46.7%), the mother's emotional intelligence is sufficient (53.3%) and the criteria for normal in children (91.7%) and the criteria for suspect in children (8.3%). Data analysis used univariate and bivariate with the Spearman rank test. Conclusion: The Spearman rank statistical test (rho) obtained the value of r = (-.282) and p value = 0.029 (p <0.05) which means that there is a significant relationship between Mother's Emotional Intelligence and the Development of Children Aged 1-3 Years at Balam Health Center Medan. It is hoped that mothers will understand emotional intelligence better in all existing factors. Keywords: Relationship; Mother's emotional intelligence; Child Development
