Abstract

Abstract

In the book Manahil al-Irfan fi Ulumil Qur’an, it is stated that what is meant by Rasm al-usmani or al-Mushaf is the principle agreed upon by Uthman (r) in the writing of Al-Qur’an sentences and letters. Some countries like Pakistan, Lebanon and Indonesia have different standards in the writing of the Qur’an, which includes punctuation, completeness of recitation, and other punctuation devices, such as sifir, isymam, imalah, tashil, and so on. Since 1984 through the Minister of Religion (KMA) number 25, Indonesia has three types of standard Al-Qur’an manuscripts, namely Ottoman Standard Mushaf, Bahriyah Mushaf, and Braille Manuscripts. Manuscripts of the Ottoman Standard are used as references for the publication and circulation of the Qur’an in Indonesia. In reality, not all people use the standard Ottoman Manuscripts, such as the Al-Hidayah Islamic Boarding School in Karangsuci Purwokerto applying the rules of obligation to use mushaf Rasm al-usmani published by the Middle East with the perception that the Middle East’s Manuscripts are the most Ottoman manuscripts. This, according to the author, tends to blur and simplify the diversity of writing on Rasm al-usmani. This paper tries to elaborate on the subject as well as matters relating to it. From the research conducted it can be seen that the Mushaf is just a device. There is no problem the community wants to use the Mushaf, because in fact the Al-Qur’an recitation is very much based on the aspects of talaqqi, the continuation of the sanad and the path of transmission, not solely dependent on khat, rasm, or writing.

Abstract

The thought of Husein Muhammad regarding the teachings of Islam in society still raises many questions in the world of Qur’anic study and Hadith, especially his thoughts on the relation between men and women known as gender equality. As a person who wrestles in the world of pesantren, this gender deviation takes place because of the perspective of societys influenced by religious doctrines, in this classical Islamic literature is considered biased toward women. The mainstream interpretation by the classical scholars is still believed by the majority of Muslim societies to this day, still placing men as superior beings against women. This perspective is clearly contrary to the ideals of the Qur’an itself, namely equality and freedom to determine life’s choices without any threat and violence or coercion from anyone. The interpretation that is considered biased towards women, caused by mistakes in interpreting religious texts, does not occur because of the inability to interpret a text, but because of the sociocultural influence on the interpreter in which they live, involved in interpreting the texts . Not only that, the taking of traditions of the Prophet as explanation and advocate of opinion of scholars sometimes not known the quality, not shahih, maudhu ‘even dai’f. Husein’s ideas are different from other Islamic feminists. The peculiarity of Husein’s ideas in carrying the discourse of Islam and gender is the depth of Islamic classical literature in analyzing or counterarging arguments against gender inequalities in societies rarely shared by other feminists. It is considered necessary to know how Husein Muhammad reinterpreted verses of the Qur’an that were considered biased against women. Though his thoughts were widely opposed by the ‘ulama, Husein has given so much to the idea of defending and liberating women from oppression.

Abstract

This paper examines the content of the propaganda of Hanan Attaki on social media in an effort to spread goodness and religious messages, especially about divinity among young people. By using content analysis method, this paper attempts to describe in depth the contents of the information being reviewed, namely Hanan Attaki’s youtube post with the theme “Allah Kangen Sera His” published on December 6, 2017. This paper explains that in terms of content, the conception of God what was built by Hanan Attaki must be based on three interrelated aspects: 1) deep faith insight, 2) correct perception of God and 3) emotional aspects (faith) in the form of longing, missed, and ashamed of God. These three aspects of God must be in line with the true insight of God according to Islam. At the next stage, this perception must be manifested in the form of deep emotions towards God in the form of longing to do good and shame in doing evil. This paper also explains that Hanan Attaki’s “Kangen” video content has received positive responses from netizens, especially among young people with high popularity (share, like, comment). The lively preaching carried out by Hanan Attaki on social media is able to build public perceptions, especially the millennial generation, about God in a simple way. This was supported by his distinctive rhetoric, style of language, voice and gestures and also a more relaxed and slender way of dressing to compensate for the dominant young children.

Abstract

The face of education in Indonesia at this time has been tarnished because of the failed products that have been produced. For example, there are many rampant corruptors around us. They are people who are highly educated, but have low conscience. Not only did the product fail, but in the process of education it also failed. We can see it from the relationship between educators, students, and parents who should support each other instead of blaming each other. Finally, education which should be a problem solver for the problems that arise, instead becomes a trouble maker in this country. This is what indicates that something is wrong with our education so far. Therefore, this paper will examine the learning resources at the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a mirror of introspection for better education. As we know, the learning resources that existed at the time of the Prophet Muhammad were very limited, but could produce education that hacked into all the problems that existed in his day. This is different from the education of the present era whose learning resources are all sophisticated, but have not produced good education. With a literature review, the authors hope that writing can contribute to education in Indonesia to be even better.
