Abstract

Today, society is faced with the phenomenon of globalization. This is immediately give demands that need more attention from all levels of society. The existence of globalization causes several challenges including self-defense to face global phenomena, self-readiness to face the era of competition, and readiness to improve self quality as a qualified human resource. It can be accomplished through educational reforms and creating new innovations in education. English-based Islamic Religious Education Learning is expected to be one of the way to prepare students to face the challenges of globalization. This research aims to find out how English-based learning of Islamic Religious Education is one of the way to face the challenges of globalization. The research is conducted on grade I students of MI Afkaaruna Islamic School Yogyakarta. This research used descriptive-qualitative research methode. The results of this study can be concluded that English-based Islamic religious education learning can be used as one of the way to prepare students to face the challenges of globalization because of the many benefits that are relevant as the solution for this matter.

Abstract

Character education aims to direct students who have good morals. The human existence character mostly comes from the environment, such as innate, culture, and education received. Because the human character is always changed, the path is taken through the educational process, namely upbringing, and training. On the way, the student characters can experience a decrease and even deviations in space. This condition can be influenced by the environment around them. This study aims to find out how the concept of character education according to the Islamic figure, namely Ibnu Miskawaih through his book entitled "Tahdzibul Akhlak", and its relevance to education in Indonesia.This qualitative descriptive research uses content analysis technic of various documents as primary and secondary sources. In conclution, Ibn Miskawaih belongs to the Dualist-Active perspective argues that human character is built by his environment and the purpose of character education is to achieve virtue and happiness. The relevances of this topic with Indonesia education are in the subject of character and community service programs.

Abstract

According to Al-Farabi education is a means of obtaining a series of values, knowledge and skills. Islamic education according to Al-Farabi must emphasize the formation of morals and reason. Utilization of reason to acquire knowledge must be accompanied by good character building. The purpose of this writing is to find out the biographical background, life, and thoughts with Islamic education in this modern era. The method used in the preparation of this paper is the library research method. Researchers collected data sources through text literature, both books, journals, and articles related to this discussion. The primary source of this paper is the journal of Educational Concepts According to Al-Ghozali and Al-Farabi (a comparative study of thought) by Agung Setyawan, UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The results showed that Al-Farabi was a philosopher and Muslim scientist who mastered various fields of science and language. The thought of education according to Al-Farabi is to prioritize the formation of morality or morality. Knowledge according to Al-Farabi is clean, and will only be obtained by people with a clean heart and good character. In the educational process according to Al-Farabi a student must pay attention to any differences in the potential that students have.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang penerapan gagasan moderasi beragama oleh peserta Sekolah Keberagaman Kalimantan Timur dalam memahami realitas sosial sebagai upaya counter radicalism. Dengan menggunakan content analysis, penelitian ini mendeskripsikan konten (isi) buku “Langkah Kecil Menyemai Toleransi” dengan melihat sejauh mana moderasi beragama di adopsi oleh peserta Sekolah Keberagaman. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa (1) peserta Sekolah Keberagaman telah membuka diri dan mencoba melihat serta memahami realitas sosial yang ada dilingkungan sekitar; (2) Mengadopsi cara hidup modern, seperti sains dan teknologi; (3) Berpikir rasional dan mengedepankan akal pengetahuan daripada emosi; (4) Memahami agama tidak hanya secara tekstual namun juga dengan kontekstual dan komprehensif; dan (5) Melalui Sekolah Keberagaman, harapan mereka maupun kita semua adalah Indonesia dapat menjadi contoh untuk negara lain dalam hal toleransi, harmoni, dan kerjasama antar-agama maupun antar-etnis. Kelima hal tersebut sejalan dengan konsep moderasi beragama, artinya bahwa peserta telah mengaktualisasikan konsep moderasi beragama dalam hidupnya. Melalui tagline ‘cerita toleransi’, Sekolah Keberagaman mengajak kalangan pemuda untuk secara aktif mengkampanyekan pentingnya toleransi, perilaku positif, dan dalam kehidupan sosial baik di dunia nyata maupun di dunia maya sebagai upaya counter radicalism.

Abstract

The purpose of education according to Ibn Rushd is to provide correct knowledge so that it can be implemented into the right actions as well. For this reason, educational materials and learning methods must be adapted to the readiness of human thinking as the subject of education. Of course, the level of readiness to think of ordinary people is different from that of educated people. This study is to determine the biographical background, life, and thoughts of Ibn Rushd about education, then to find the relevance of Ibn Rushd's educational thoughts with Islamic education in this modern era. The method used in the preparation of this paper is the library method. The researcher collected data sources through text literature, both books, journals, and articles that are relevant to this discussion. The results showed that Ibn Rushd was a philosopher, expert in fiqh, medicine and also a legal expert. Ibn Rushd has ideas and thoughts related to education, that education is practical which must be assisted through a theoretically appropriate model so that practical implementation is always in accordance with its theoretical implementation which aims to provide correct knowledge so that it can implement it into the right action as well. Ibn Rushd's thoughts on organized education in goals, curriculum, learning methods and teachers or educators are factors of determinant elements in education. Therefore, Ibnu Rushd's thoughts can be used as important references in the progress of the world of Education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pembaruan hukum waris Islam yang terjadi sejak era sahabat hingga sekarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research (studi kepustakaan). Jenis penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan pendekatan normatif-historis, dengan memaparkan beberapa fakta perubahan hukum waris yang terjadi dari era sahabat hingga era modern. Dari kajian yang dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwasannya pembaruan hukum waris saat ini bukan merupakan hal yang baru, serta tidak menutup kemungkinan hukum waris Islam akan terus berkembang sesuai dengan keadaan zaman. Tujuan pembaruan hukum waris merupakan respon dari setiap negara Islam terhadap perkembangan sosial di masing-masing negara agar hukum waris tetap eksis tanpa menimbulkan ketimpangan sosial.

Abstract

Konsep paling penting dalam struktur maqashid syari’ah klasik dan masih bertahan hingga kini adalah hifz ad-din. Yang mencakup dua dimensi: min janib al-wujud dan min janib al-‘adam. Keduanya, dengan sengaja, penulis jadikan kerangka berpikir dalam rangka melakukan reinterpretasi terhadap konsep pelestarian agama. Penelitian yang dilakukan penulis adalah penelitian hukum Islam normatif, yang memiliki tujuan untuk menyelidiki norma-norma hukum Islam untuk memperoleh kaidah tingkah laku yang dipandang terbaik. Menurut Bambang Sunggono, penelitian hukum normatif mencakup ilmu kaidah dan ilmu pengertian (yang biasa disebut dengan dogmatik hukum). Jika melihat pada permasalahan yang dikaji dan diteliti penulis, maka penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian normatif. Yang dimaksud penelitian hukum normatif atau penelitian literer (library research) adalah metode atau cara yang diaplikasikan dalam penelitian hukum yang ditempuh dengan cara mengkaji dan meneliti bahan-bahan pustaka yang sudah tersedia. Pada penelitian ini, penulis memanfaatkan pendekatan maqashid syariah. Dari kajian yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa melestarikan agama min janib al-wujud sejalan dengan hukum positif sebagaimana tercantum dalam Pasal 28E ayat 1 dan 2, 28I ayat 1, dan Pasal 29 ayat 2. Sedangkan, min janib al-‘adam terdapat dalam UU No. 1 Tahun 1965 berikut sanksi hukum dalam Pasal 156a KUHP. Sehingga, beberapa kebijakan hukum yang terdapat dalam kerangka hifz ad-din klasik seperti jihad dan hukuman bagi murtad, perlu dipertimbangkan kembali.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to elaborate meaning, form, sense, and rules of nahy. The method used in collecting data is library method. Data analysis method used is content analysis method with elements of interpretation and description. In this article, the results are found based on reading of books contain meaning senses of prohibition sentence that nahy is leaving an act because it is forbidden from a higher side. While the form of prohibition or nahy is very diverse. Among various shigat or nahy forms, namely fi'il mudhari' which is preceded by la nahy, nafi, fi'il amr which indicates a prohibition, fi'il from the word nahy, and the statement using news sentence. In addition to meaning senses of nahy is prohibition, but sometimes the sense can change into: prayer, not permitted, degradation, guidance, persistence, exposition of consequence, expectation, menace, reprimand, consolation, and invitation. While the rules of nahy include: first, initial meaning sense of nahy is prohibition, instantaneous and lasting; secondly, when the form of prohibition is a matter that cannot be avoided, it contains semantics on nahy which is required to stay away; third, when there is a global prohibition, it applies to the whole; fourth, there is a prohibition in the form of news sentence; and fifth, nahy shows the damage.

Abstract

The PPIM National Survey on the Diversity of Student and Teacher/Lecture in School and Universities in Indonesia shows that most of them have opinions that are categorized as intolerant/very intoleran and radical/very radical. However, if viewed from the side of the action most have a tolerant and moderate tendency. The report’s result confirm a balanced proportion of inclusive/tolerant views with esclusive/intolerant views. Therefore this study using descriptive qualitative data based research literatur aims to explore and reinforce the existence of inclusivsm in 2013 curriculum student book on Islamic Education on subject Madrasas. The analysis tehnique used in the study uss content analysis by alalyzing the inclusivsm content in 2013 curriculum student book on Islamic Education subject based on inclusive attitute indicator, namely: looking positively at difference and building cooperation with different people or grups in order to achiec common goals, egalitarian, open mainded, broad-minded from the thegroup itself and various other groups and not extream. The result of the analysis in the 2013 curriculum student book hasan inclusive content with the existence of several discussion topics as tolerance, avoiding discriminatory behaviour, scientific thinnking and other discussion topics. although the persentation of the material is informative, its is necessary to develop the presentation of materal in student books on islamic religious education in Madrasas. keyword: Inklusivsm.
