Abstract

As a basic model, trip generation model aims to obtain the number of movement generated by each origin and the one attracted to each destination zone. Based on the movement, trip generation model is categorized into home-based trip generation and non home-originated/destinated trip attraction. Given that the different types of activities attract trips with different characteristics, it can be concluded that land use management determines the movement and activities. Remote sensing imagery has been extensively used in various research themes including land use management or land use and detailed land utility. As one of the remote sensing imageries, Quickbird imagery is advantageous with its high spatial resolution which is 0.61 cm. Therefore, it is interesting to apply the 0.61 cm spatial resolution to the trip generation model to estimate the number of trips at the trip generation. This aims is to minimize field activities which are high cost, extensive workers, and relatively time consuming.Keywords: trip generation model, trip attraction, quickbird imagery

Abstract

Safer road is a global issue in the world. Regarding road conditions, traffic conditions, and accident rate in developing countries, including Indonesia, safer road is crucial. Furthermore, the problem is worse because of a number of reasons i.e. data of road geometric, road pavement surface, road furniture conditions, and traffic accident are not well recorded, difference available recorded data among institutions, and beginning level of intelligent transportation systems implementation. Moreover, to reach safer road, all stakeholders involved (road authorities, industries, experts, road users) should work together. In order to reach integrated road safety approach, the aims of this study are to determine steps to decrease number and severity of traffic accident before, during, and after accident occur, and then to recommend road safety scheme towards safer road in Indonesia. Sustainable and consistent implementation of steps and road safety scheme leads to significant improvement of safer road in Indonesia. Keywords: safer road, accident rate, traffic accident, traffic condition  Jalan berkeselamatan merupakan isu global di dunia. Terkait dengan kondisi jalan, kondisi lalu lintas, dan tingkat kecelakaan di negara-negara berkembang, termasuk di Indonesia, jalan yang lebih aman sangat penting. Selain itu permasalahan lebih diperburuk oleh beberapa alasan, yaitu data geometrik jalan, kondisi permukaan perkerasan jalan, kondisi perlengkapan jalan, data kecelakaan lalulintas yang tidak tercatat dengan baik, perbedaan data yang tercatat di institusi-institusi terkait, dan implementasi sistem transportasi cerdas baru pada tahap awal. Untuk mencapai jalan yang berkeselamatan semua pemangku kepentingan yang terlibat (otoritas jalan, industri, ahli, pengguna jalan) harus bekerja sama. Dengan memperhatikan pendekatan keselamatan jalan terpadu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan langkah-langkah untuk mengurangi jumlah dan tingkat keparahan kecelakaan sebelum, selama, dan setelah kecelakaan terjadi serta merekomendasikan skema keselamatan jalan menuju jalan yang lebih aman di Indonesia. Keberkelanjutan dan penerapan yang konsisten langkah-langkah dan skema keselamatan jalan akan menghasilkan perbaikan yang signifikan akan jalan berkeselamatan di Indonesia. Kata-kata kunci: jalan berkeselamatan,tingkat kecelakaan, kecelakaan lalulintas, kondisi lalulintas

Abstract

Abstract With the increasing number of the student using cars for traveling to campus, Petra Christian University needs to implement parking management strategy to optimize current parking supply. One of those potentially parking management strategies is difference parking facilities between students those who drive alone or Single-Occupancy Vehicle and ride-sharing or High-Occupancy Vehicle. The aim of this study is to obtain mode choice model between Single-Occupancy Vehicle Single-Occupancy Vehicle and High-Occupancy Vehicle with three attributes, which are the parking fee, time to find empty parking space, and walking time from parking lot to campus building. Data obtained through filling out the stated preference questionnaires by 300 students. Based on mode choice model, the parking fee is the most sensitive attribute that influences students’ to shift from drive alone to ride-sharing, compared with both time to find empty parking space and walking time from parking lot to campus building. Keywords: mode choice model, parking facility, ride-sharing  Abstrak Universitas Kristen Petra perlu menerapkan strategi pengelolaan parkir untuk mengoptimalkan ketersediaan lahan parkir mobil yang ada saat ini, seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah mahasiswa yang menggunakan mobil ke kampus. Salah satu strategi pengelolaan parkir yang potensial adalah melalui perbedaan fasilitas parkir bagi mahasiswa yang berkendara sendirian atau Single-Occupancy Vehicle dan yang berkendara bersama atau High-Occupancy Vehicle. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh model pemilihan moda Single-Occupancy Vehicle dan High-Occupancy Vehicle dengan tiga atribut, yaitu: tarif sekali parkir, waktu mencari petak parkir kosong, dan waktu berjalan kaki dari tempat parkir ke gedung kuliah. Data diperoleh melalui pengisian kuesioner oleh 300 mahasiswa dengan metode stated preference. Berdasarkan model pemilihan moda, dapat disimpulkan bahwa atribut yang paling mempengaruhi mahasiswa untuk beralih dari berkendara sendiri menjadi berkendara bersama adalah perbedaan tarif sekali parkir dibandingkan dua atribut yang lain, yaitu waktu mencari petak parkir kosong dan waktu berjalan kaki dari tempat parkir ke gedung kuliah. Kata-kata kunci: model pemilihan moda, fasilitas parkir, berkendara bersama

Abstract

More than 90% of freight movement in Indonesia is carried out by land transportation (mostly highway mode). Meanwhile most nation land is surrounded by water, in which the movement could have been carried out by sea transportation. There are rail network in Java Island and some parts of Sumatera Island where multimodal/inter-modality system can be applied. However, lack of sea and rail transportation infrastructure and management makes highway mode the main choice among other transportation modes. This study investigated the impact of overloading trucks in the freight transportation system in Indonesia, because the government still allows trucks to carry up to 50% of the normal maximum load. This policy has greatinfluence on road deterioration, creating the vehicle damage factor approximately 5 times higher than that of the normal one. This overloading has a big impact on the maintenance of the road and will increase themaintenance budget.

Abstract

Abstrak Campuran beraspal umumnya terdiri atas agregat, bahan pengisi (filler), dan aspal sebagai bahan pengikat.  Material yang umum digunakan sebagai bahan pengisi adalah semen, pasir, kapur dan abu batu, yang persediaannya terbatas, relatif mahal, dan merupakan bahan yang tidak dapat diperbaharui. Alternatif lain adalah penggunaan abu sawit, yang merupakan limbah industri pengolahan kelapa sawit dan merupakan sumber daya alam yang dapat diperbaharui. Campuran Laston yang baik adalah campuran yang memiliki stabilitas, fleksibilitas, skid resistance, kedap air, dan durabilitas yang cukup. Untuk mengetahui karakteristik Marshall dan durabilitas Laston dengan bahan pengisi abu sawit, dilakukan pengujian terhadap campuran tersebut dalam skala laboratorium. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah pengujian karakteristik standar Marshall dan durabilitas dengan metode perendaman modifikasi Marshall. Sebagai pembanding digunakan bahan pengisi semen portland dengan proporsi 100% abu sawit, 50% abu sawit – 50% semen, dan 100% semen. Pengujian berat jenis terhadap bahan pengisi menunjukkan bahwa berat jenis abu sawit (2,270) lebih kecil daripada berat jenis semen (3,027). Pengujian Marshall standar menghasilkan kadar aspal optimum laston dengan bahan pengisi 100% abu sawit (8,20%) lebih tinggi daripada kadar aspal optimum laston dengan bahan pengisi 50% abu sawit - 50% semen (7,55%), serta kadar aspal optimum laston dengan bahan pengisi 100% semen (6,25%). Stabilitas tertinggi berada pada komposisi bahan pengisi 100% semen, yaitu 1265,359 kg dan terendah berada pada bahan pengisi 100% abu sawit, yaitu 976,920 kg. Nilai kelelehan plastis (flow) pada kadar aspal optimum untuk variasi komposisi bahan pengisi 100% semen adalah 3,4 mm, untuk bahan pengisi 50% semen – 50% abu sawit adalah 2,8 mm, sedangkan untuk bahan pengisi 100% abu sawit sebesar 3,267 mm. Nilai VIM pada kadar aspal optimum pada komposisi bahan pengisi yaitu untuk bahan pengisi  100% semen sebesar 4,675%, untuk bahan pengisi 50% semen – 50% abu sawit adalah 4,082%, dan untuk bahan pengisi 100% abu sawit adalah 3,595%. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan abu sawit sebagai bahan pengisi pada campuran laston memberikan nilai-nilai parameter Marshall yang memenuhi nilai-nilai yang disyaratkan dalam spesifikasi yang dikeluarkan oleh Bina Marga (1989). Indeks keawetan dinyatakan dalam nilai IRS dan Indeks Keawetan Craus dkk. Pengujian laboratorium pada campuran laston dengan bahan pengisi abu sawit memberikan nilai IRS sebesar 88,31% pada perendaman selama 28 hari dan nilai Indeks Keawetan Pertama Craus dkk (r) sebesar  6,44%  serta Indeks Keawetan Kedua Craus dkk (a) sebesar 20 %. Jika dibandingkan dengan syarat nilai IRS minimal untuk laston menurut Bina Marga, yaitu 75%, maka nilai IRS laston dengan bahan pengisi abu sawit memenuhi syarat.Kata-kata kunci: Bahan pengisi, abu sawit, laston, parameter Marshall

Abstract

The provision of freight infrastructure linking the hinterland to the port requires agreement between actors. However, in reality there is a policy conflict in the development of a regional freight infrastructure, such as in the case of the Aloha Perak Toll Road construction in Surabaya. This study aims to discuss actor relationship in the freight transport infrastructure development strategy to support export activities in Tanjung Perak Port of Surabaya, using Dynamic Actor Network Analysis. It is found that there is an action conflict in achieving smooth flow of goods coming from the hinterland to the port, particularly between the city of Surabaya Planning Board and the East Java Province Planning Board. The conflict can be minimized by the existence of jujitsu negotiation and BATNA, because the Surabaya City Government, as the owner of the land, has greater power than the Provincial Government.Keywords: regional freight infrastructure, Dynamic Actor Network Analysis, action conflict, conflict management technique

Abstract

Abstract Pavement Flexural Stiffness Modulus and Phase Angle tend to bend due to over load of vehicle. Using Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP), in this case asphalt recycling will decrease deformation endurance of asphaltic mixture. The lower deformation endurance of asphaltic mixture, the worse asphaltic mixture quality is. Therefore modified of asphalt recycling, must be done to improve deformation endurance of asphalt. This research using Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) which is elastomer polimer as asphalt modifier. Variation of SBS polimer are 2.5% and 5% of asphalt weight and variation of RAP are 20% and 30% of mixture weight. The value of Flexural Stiffness Modulus and Phase Angle was determined by Fatique testing using Four Point Loading Apparatus. According to the result, the highest Flexural Stiffness Modulus is 5,763.67 MPa which found in variation RAP 30% and SBS 5%. This mixture composition also have the lowest Phase Angle that is 23.33°. The result showing that the stiffness will be increase by adding Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) and SBS Polimer. Keywords: Flexural Stiffness Modulus, Phase Angle, Reclaimed Asphalt Pevement (RAP), SBS polimer  Abstrak Nilai Modulus Kekakuan Lentur dan Sudut Fase campuran beraspal memperlihatkan kecenderungan material untuk mengalami deformasi akibat beban yang diterimanya. Penggunaan perkerasan daur ulang, dalam hal ini aspal daur ulang, akan menurunkan tingkat ketahanan campuran beraspal terhadap deformasi akibat beban yang diterimanya. Makin rendah tingkat ketahanan campuran terhadap deformasi yang terjadi, makin buruk mutu campuran tersebut. Untuk itu diperlukan modifikasi terhadap aspal daur ulang sehingga dapat memperbaiki tingkat ketahanannya terhadap deformasi yang terjadi. Pada penelitian ini digunakan modifikasi aspal dengan tambahan polimer elastomer, yaitu polimer Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene dengan persentase 2,5% dan 5% terhadap berat aspal. Kandungan material daur ulang yang digunakan adalah sebesar 20% dan 30% terhadap berat campuran. Nilai-nilai Kekakuan Lentur dan Sudut Fase diperoleh dari pengujian kelelahan campuran menggunakan Four Point Loading Apparatus. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa nilai Modulus Kekakuan Lentur tertinggi diberikan oleh campuran dengan kandungan material daur ulang 30% dan Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene 5%, yaitu sebesar 5.763,67 MPa. Komposisi campuran ini juga memberikan nilai Sudut Fase yang terkecil, yaitu 23,33°. Abstract

One of the root problems causing early damages on provincial and district roads is road administrators’ and developers’ low compliance against the road standards. To deal with this issue, a systemic logic model has been developed to facilitate the monitoring and the evaluation analyses of road standards implementation. The model was written in Java Runtime Environment version 6 and designed to feature portability, acceptability, applicability, and useability. The model was developed based on expert survey and typology analysis to gather and select the determining variables and their indicators.Model application in the case of SNI 03-2853-1992(guidelines on constructing road foundation using crushed stones) implementation is demonstrated in this paper.The results showed 58.50% of the sample “own” the standard, 61.18% “understand” the standard, 60.52% “implement” the standard, 51.39% “oversee” the implementation of the standard, and therefore the overall implementation score for the said standard was 59.08%. The model developed in this study has the potentials to provide recommendations to road administrators on whether or not a standard needs revision or even abolition.Keywords: evaluation, monitoring, quality standard, provincial and local roads

Abstract

Abstract Searching product information and purchasing goods online cause significant changes in the behavior and characteristics of traveling. Online shopping is expected to reduce shopping trips. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between online shopping and its effect on the frequency of shopping trips. This study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were obtained from questionnaires distributed online. The variables used were 5 exogenous, 3 endogenous latent variables, and 15 observed variables. The results showed that the frequency of searching for information on the internet has a positive influence on a shopping trip and frequency of online shopping. In the meantime, the online shopping frequencies have negative influences on shopping trips. In addition, online shopping is additional and substitution of shopping trips. To optimize the benefits of online shopping, in reducing the frequency of shopping trips to the store, four scenarios were made. The most effective scenario is to improve the quality of the internet network at home, which affects in the reduction of the shopping trip frequency by 53 % from the present level. Key words: online shopping, shopping trip, travel behavior, characteristic of the trip  Abstrak Pencarian informasi produk dan pembelian barang secara online menyebabkan perubahan yang penting dalam perilaku perjalanan dan karakteristik perjalanan seseorang. Belanja online diharapkan dapat mengurangi perjalanan belanja yang dilakukan seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali hubungan antara belanja online dan pengaruhnya terhadap frekuensi perjalanan berbelanja seseorang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data diperoleh dari kuesioner yang disebarkan secara online. Variabel yang digunakan adalah 5 variabel laten eksogen, 3 variabel laten endogen, serta 15 variabel teramati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi mencari informasi di internet berpengaruh positif terhadap perjalanan belanja dan frekuensi belanja online. Sedangkan frekuensi belanja online berpengaruh negatif terhadap perjalanan belanja. Selain itu bagi sebagian orang belanja online bersifat tambahan dan sebagian lagi bersifat pengganti. Untuk mengoptimalkan manfaat belanja online, dalam mengurangi frekuensi perjalanan belanja ke toko, dilakukan 4 skenario. Skenario yang paling efektif adalah peningkatan kualitas jaringan internet di rumah, yang memberi dampak pengurangan frekuensi perjalanan belanja sebesar 53 % dari kondisi sekarang. Kata-kata kunci: belanja online, perjalanan belanja, perilaku perjalanan, karakteristik perjalanan
