Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan formulasi roti manis yang disubstitusi dengan tepung ikan lele dumbo (C. gariepinus) dan mengetahui nilai organleptik pada formula terpilih. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini yaitu substitusi tepung ikan lele dumbo (C. gariepinus) sebanyak 10%, 20%, dan 30% dari total jumlah komposisi pada formula. Parameter yang diuji adalah karakteristik organoleptik melalui uji hedonik pada produk dengan atribut kenampakan, rasa, aroma, tekstur dan warna. Karakterisasi mutu hedonik dilakukan pada produk terpilih dengan atribut warna, tekstur, aroma dan rasa. Hasil uji hedonik dianalisis berdasarkan Kruskall Wallis dan diuji lanjut dengan uji Duncan. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji Bayes untuk menentukan produk terpilih dari seluruh perlakuan. Hasil uji Bayes produk terpilih adalah formula A, yaitu roti yang menggunakan tepung ikan lele dumbo (C. gariepinus) 10%. Hasil uji mutu hedonik produk terpilih (Formula A) yaitu, warna kuning, tekstur agak lembut, aroma agak khas roti ikan, dan rasa agak manis.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the density, diversity and dominance index as well as the current condition of the seagrass ecosystem in Ponelo Village, Ponelo Islands District, North Gorontalo Regency. This research was carried out from March to August 2019. Samples were collected using the line transect method in a systematic manner using 1x1 meter quadrants. All research study areas are divided into 3 stations based on the presence of seagrass. Data analysis includes density, diversity and dominance index as well as current conditions. There were 4 types of seagrass found at the research location from 2 families, namely Enhalus acroides and Cymodocea rotundata from the Potomogetonaceae family and Halophila ovalis and Thalassia hemprichii from the Hydrocharitaceae family. The type of seagrass that has the highest density is Cymodocea rotundata and the type of seagrass that has the lowest density is Halophila ovalis. Seagrass diversity was obtained at stations 1 and 2 with a value of 0.98-0.91 with low status, while station 3 obtained a value of 1.38 with medium status. The Dominance Index results from stations 1, 2, and 3 obtained a value of 0.25-0.50 in the low category. The condition of the seagrass beds is based on density values, namely that the conditions at stations 1, 2 and 3 are rather dense and sparse.

Abstract

Potensi rumput laut yang melimpah di perairan Indonesia telah dimanfaatkan untuk menghasilkan berbagai produk olahan, seperti dimanfaatkan dalam pembuatan permen soba atau yang dikenal dengan gula-gula pahanga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi komposisi kimia dari permen soba yang diperkaya dengan komposisi rumput laut terpilih yaitu sebesar 40% dari berat gula merah. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Kimia dan Analisis Makanan Departemen Gizi Masyarakat Fakultas Ekologi Manusia Institut Pertanian Bogor. Metode penelitian yaitu eksperimen laboratorium yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permen soba dengan penambahan rumput laut 40% memiliki kadar air sebesar 9,94%, kadar abu sebesar 0,92%, kadar lemak sebesar 4,24%, kadar protein sebesar 3,68%, dan kadar karbohidrat sebesar 82,13%. Sementara itu, permen soba tanpa penambahan rumput laut memiliki kadar air sebesar 9,60%, kadar abu sebesar 0,90%, kadar lemak sebesar 4,39%, kadar protein sebesar 3,25%, dan kadar karbohidrat sebesar 82,75%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pendapatan nelayan, dan pengaruh bantuan sarana penangkapan ikan terhadap pendapatan nelayan di Kecamatan Bilato Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan tehnik wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sensus, yang menjadi sampel yaitu semua nelayan yang menerima bantuan pada tahun 2018 sebanyak 42 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai Juni 2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pendapatan nelayan penerima bantuan maupun nelayan di Kecamatan Bilato tergolong sangat tinggi yaitu dengan rata-rata Rp 4.478.353. Batuan sarana penangkapan ikan berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan nelayan, faktor yang mempengaruhi secara signifikan pendapatan nelayan di Kecamatan Bilato yaitu variabel modal.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the organoleptic value of julung-julung fish (Hemirhampus far) with 3% concentration of liquid smoke treated with different soaking times (25, 30 and 35 minutes). This research was carried out in April - September 2016 at the Biotechnology and Fishery Product Characteristics Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Gorontalo State University for Organoleptic testing. Data analysis used for organoleptic testing of hedonic quality was Kruskal Wallis followed by Duncan's advanced test. Organoleptic test results for the hedonic quality of julung-julung fish (Hemirhampus far) from liquid smoke with different soaking times produced different organoleptic values for all parameters. Based on the results of the organoleptic test, the soaking time of 30 minutes and 35 minutes is different from the soaking time of 25 minutes, namely having an average value of 7 for the appearance parameters which are in the criteria of intact, clean, brown, shiny, specific to the type; the smell is in the criteria of less fragrant, sufficient smoke, without additional disturbing odors; The taste is in the criteria of good but not tasty, while in terms of texture parameters, the soaking time of 25 minutes and 30 minutes is different from the soaking time of 35 minutes, namely with an average value of 7 which is in the criteria of solid, compact, quite dry and tight tissue.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media filter yang berbeda terhadap kualitas air dan media filter yang paling efektif dalam menjaga stabilitas kualitas air benih ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) dengan sistem resirkulasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, yaitu perlakuan A (dakron), perlakuan B (zeolit), perlakuan C (karbon aktif), perlakuan D (kontrol). Parameter yang diamati suhu, pH, oksigen terlarut (DO), nitrat (NO3), nitrit (NO2) dan amoniak (NH3). Hasil Analisis Sidik Ragam (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa media filter yang berbeda berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap suhu, pH dan oksigen terlarut DO, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap nitrat (NO3), nitrit (NO2) dan amoniak (NH3). Media filter yang paling efektif dalam menjaga stabilitas oksigen terlarut (DO) benih ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) dengan sistem resirkulasi adalah dakron (perlakuan A), sedangkan zeolit (perlakuan B) yang paling efektif dalam menjaga stabilitas suhu air benih ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) dengan sistem resirkulasi.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the diversity and zoning patterns of mangroves in Otiola Village, Ponelo Islands District, North Gorontalo Regency. Data collection was carried out from January to February 2021. The sampling method used quadrant line transects and the method for determining mangrove zoning was based on three zoning divisions, namely, proximal, middle and distal. The research location is divided into 4 stations, and each station consists of 5 transect lines. Diversity was calculated using the Simpson Diversity Index formula. The research results show that in Otiola Village there are 20 types of mangroves. The diversity index for the tree category is in the medium to high category (0.632 – 0.873) and for the sapling level it is in the low, medium to high category (0.489 – 0.876), while the seedlings are in the medium to high category (0.674 – 0.831). The mangrove zoning in Otiola Village is classified as impure zoning because there are several species that vary in each zoning (mixed).

Abstract

This research was carried out in Tontayuo Village, Batudaa Pantai District, Gorontalo Regency. This research aims to describe the construction of the Taba-taba trolling fishing gear and measure its effectiveness. The research was carried out using observation methods and calculating the results of fishermen's catches. The taba-taba trolling fishing equipment and how to operate it are by jerking it and pulling it by a boat. The operating method consists of a line, hook, artificial bait, swivel, and without using weights. This taba-taba fishing rod is a type of traditional fishing gear that is often used by fishermen to catch coral fish at night. The taba-taba trolling fishing gear according to the criteria of Syari et al. (2014) is very effective in catching squirrel's eye fish because it has effectiveness (60.76%), and less effective in catching swanggi fish (effectiveness 26.75%), while for catching glaga fish taba-taba fishing rods are less effective because they only have effectiveness (14 .58%).

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah melakukan formulasi dan karakteristik mutu sosis cumi.Faktor perlakuan adalah konsentrasi cumi dalam formulasi sosis cumi terdiri atas 60 g (A), 80 g (B) dan 100 g (C).. Analisis data organoleptik menggunakan Kruskall-wallis dengan parameter uji yaitu tekstur, kenampakan, warna, rasa, dan aroma.Tingkat kesukaan panelis terhadap fomula 60 g yaitu: tekstur, kenampakan, warna, rasa, dan aromaagak sukadan suka panelis; formula 80 g yaitu: tekstur, kenampakan, warna, rasa, dan aromadisukai oleh panelis; fomula 100 g yaitu: tekstur, kenampakan, warna, rasa, dan aroma sangat disukai panelis.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze environmental friendly fishing technoligies of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis Linneus) fishery. This research was conducted from April to Juni 2022 in Teluk Tomini Sea, Gorontalo Province. Data collected by surveys, observations, interviews and questionnaire. Environmental friendly aspects were analyzed with function of values provided by Monintja (2000) and Mallawa, et.al. (2019). Result shows that fishing technologies such as drag line, hand-line, purse-seine, and payang (mini purse-seine) are consecutively environmentally friendly.
