This paper discusses non-linear inversion method with Genetic Algorithm (GA) which inspired by natural selection process (survival for the fittest) and genetic using 20 populations (micro genetic algorithm). The method is applied to 1-D magnetotelluric inverted data with model parameter is resistivity as a function of depth. This research only uses synthetic data obtained from synthetic model. The model is homogeneous earth model with 3 and 5 layers. Perturbation of model is performed until minimum misfit between theoritical and observation data achieved. The 3 layers and 5 layers inversion processes are applied to 3 layers and 5 layers earth model respectively, with satisfactory results in other words it can reproduce the synthetic model.

The achievement of education through learning process is not able tobe separated with learning assessment. In accordance with this, Kemendikbud issues Permendikbud No. 23 Year 2016 governing the standard of assessment, one of which is the utilization of authentic assessment. This research purposed to describe authentic assessment implementation in English learning to the eleventh grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Tabanan. The subjects of this research were an English teacher and 67 students. The techniques utilized to collect the data were observation, interview, and documentation. The data obtained were analysed by using qualitative data analysis. The result of this research showed that: (1) Authentic assessment was implemented in lesson plan and (2) The authentic assessment was implemented meaningfully and integrated in learning process. The assessment’s techniques used to assess each competency consist of:(a)observation for attitude competency, (b) most of the assignment for knowledge competency, and (c) performance, project, and portfolio for skills competency.The conclusion of this research is the authentic assessment in English teachingboth in the lesson plan and the learning process is well implemented. It is indicated by the positive opinion stated by the teacher and students towards the implementation of authentic assessment in the process of learning.

Both English and Indonesian have adverb of manner. This part of sentence is used to describe how how an action occurred or to state how an action was taken. English adverbs of manner can be easly seen from the suffix –ly at the end of the word. In the other hand, Indonesian adverbs of mannerare not only in the form of wordbut also prepositional phrase or clause. Data taken from an Indonesian version of English novel indicated that the English adverbs of manner are translated in various ways into Indonesian. Since there are lots of ways in translating the English adverbs of manner, this study was conducted to see the procedure used to translate the English adverbs of manner into Indonesian in the novel Breaking Dawn and its translation Awal yang Baru.

A lecturer should do an ‘extra efforts’ to make the teaching learning process run smoothly. However, during the process, there is a fallibility which might not be directly observed by the lecturer. The lecturer, therefore, needs to carry out an evaluation of his/ her teaching. It can be done is through applying Lesson Study which consists of plan, do and see and involving observers to optimize the process. This research was limited on answering the research problems: what are the observers’ roles in lesson study to improve the competency of the lecturers? and what are the mutual feedback of the observers in conducting lesson study? The design of this study was descriptive and qualitative research. The required data were collected by using active-participatory observation by observing 3 observers and 5 model lecturers. In addition, the researcher also did post-interview. Based on two cycles of lesson study, the researcher found that the observers had significant roles to improve their competency. Moreover, the findings showed that they got mutual feedback to improve their competency and classroom management which is discipline, active, interactive, enjoyable, and motivating to make an active learning. This proves that lesson study is worth to be applied in developing the competency of the lecturers in faculty of teacher training and education.

The Regional Government of Denpasar City issued a policy regarding the provision of incentives. The incentives provided are in the form of additional incentives for teachers and headmaster, especially for public elementary schools in the Denpasar City area. The provision of incentives aims to make the headmaster more maximal in carrying out assigment or workloads, and to optimize the potentials that can be developed in the school (both in aspects of teacher and student achievement). Based on this background, a study was conducted which aimed to determine the effect of giving incentives on the performance of elementary school headmaster throughout Denpasar. The analysis technique used in this study is simple linear regression. Based on the data analyzed, it was obtained 1) the variability of the dependent variable (primary school principal's performance) which can be explained by the variability of the independent variable (incentive giving) of 15.5% and the remaining 84.5% explained by other variables not included in the regression model and 2) giving headmaster incentives has a significant positive effect on the performance of elementary school principals throughout Denpasar.

This article will discuss the Power Teaching Learning method which is more recently known as the Whole Brain Teaching method, which has the same concept as Brain Based Teaching. Power Teaching, in Indonesian can be said "awesome learning"! While the phrase "whole brain teaching" - learning with the whole brain - implies that this learning optimizes the work of the brain of students, left brain, right brain, brain. In other languages, it might be said that this learning involves the aspects of students with 'high impact': cognitive, affective and psychomotor. How effective is this "whole-brain" learning? The writer has tried to apply this method in Public and Private Junior high schools Schools in Denpasar. The results are very encouraging and satisfactory to be able to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and learning outcomes of students. This method is a learning model that is able to focus students' attention on learning through varied activities by combining visual, verbal and kinesthetic aspects

This study uses classroom action research (CAR). The subjects were students of class VII F SMP Wisata Sanur totaling 42 students. The object of research is the application of contextual learning with audio-visual media to enhance the ability of preparing explanatory text. The design of this class action research, carried out in stages or multiple cycles until results are achieved in accordance with the desired target. The data collection is done by using the method of observation and testing methods in the form of duty fabricated. Observation methods used to collect the data pertaining to attitudes and activities of students in the learning process. Written test in the form of duty fabricated by the amount of about 1 point with 5 aspects of assessment and score range 1-20 with a number of wholly ideal score is 100. The test results obtained in the application of contextual learning with media audio-visual to Enhance Capabilities Develop explanatory text F Grade VII SMP Wisata Sanur Academic Year 2017/2018 has increased. In the initial test value - average only 4.07 with less category, the first cycle value - average of 5.30 with a category is almost enough, the second cycle value - average of 6.92 with more than enough categories and average value Cycle III students on the average increased to 8.40 with a good category. Based on the results of the tests can be concluded that contextual learning with audio-visual media can improve the ability compile explanatory text in class VII F SMP Wisata Sanur in academic year2017/2018.

This study aims to improve the Pedagogical Competence of Class IV Teachers of SD Negeri 9 Dauh Puri and the ability of teachers to prepare RPP in the Learning Process by applying Academic Supervision. This type of research is school action research and involves 1 teacher at the Dauh Puri 9 Elementary School in the academic year 2016/2017.The data of this study include pedagogic competency data collected using worksheets for assessment instruments for the implementation of learning and the ability to develop learning implementation plans using planning instruments for learning activities. Furthermore, the data collected in this study was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that there was an increase in Pedagogic Competence and Ability to Arrange RPP. This is evident from the results obtained in the 1.70% cycle for preparing lesson plans and 73.33% for pedagogical competencies. From cycle I to cycle II it increased 100% for the preparation of RPP and 100% for pedagogic competencies. The conclusion obtained from this study is that academic supervision can improve the pedagogical competence of the teacher and develop a plan for implementing learning.

This study was designed as a classroom action research (CAR). This study was conducted in some cycles consisted of two sessions in each cycle: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. This study is conducted to the students of Germania Class Airport Handling Management Bali Aviation Training Center Denpasar (BATC) which consisted of 22 students (6 male and 16 female) who had low ability in speaking English. It was proven by the average score of pre-test which was 66,59. To solve the problem, the researcher used Multiple Inside-Outside Circle. The data collected from this research were obtained from pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire. The data were analyzed by analysis statistial desriptive. The first finding of this study was there was a significant improvement on students’ speaking skill after the use of Multiple Inside-Outside Circle which can be seen from the average score of pre-test, cycle I and cycle II. The second finding showed that the subjects showed positive respond to the implementation of the Multiple Inside-Outside Circle.

The background of this study is the existence of a problem, namely the low ability to express ideas to students of class VIII A Semester I of SMP Negeri 1 Denpasar, so that these conditions can hinder the teaching and learning process in general. By knowing there are problems, the researchers want to overcome by carrying out research through group counseling, the purpose of this study is through group counseling can improve the ability to express ideas. This research was carried out in a cycle system, the results of the actions were monitored by observation and questionnaire. The results of monitoring are deformed descriptively. The evaluation results show that group counseling can improve the ability to express ideas. Based on the initial data is 52.50% to 75.00% after the first cycle was carried out, in the second cycle after the treatment improvement from the deficiencies found in the previous cycle increased to 97.50%. in this second cycle has fulfilled the determined success indicators and the cycle was declared not continued, the conclusion of this study that group counseling can improve the ability to express ideas to students of class VIII A Semester I Denpasar 1 Public Middle School 2016/2017 Academic Year
