Abstract

ABSTRACT Fly is one of insect included into ordo Diptera which has a pair of wing organized as membrane. Fly has cosmopolitan feature where the fly life is gotten smooth almost in the surface of earth. Dealing with it has been conducted research about the diversity of fly (Cyclorrapha: Dipetra) at the area of dry fish disposal in the Padang City. This research was conducted from June to August 2013 conducted at the area of dry fish disposal in the Raya Market Padang, Lubuk Buaya Market Padang and Bandar Buat Market Padang. The research was survey research and description analysis by identification at Animal taxonomi Laboratory of Andalas University Padang . Fly collection was conducted by using 2 methods such as sweap method, and baiting method. The identification result of fly diversity on the third research area was gotten 5 kinds of fly from 3 families and a sub ordo such as Musca domestica, Crysomya megacephala, Calliphora sp., Lucilia sp, and Sarchophaga sp., Musca domestica constituting number of fly which was most dominant got from the third area of sample taking.

Abstract

ABSTRACTStudent Worksheet is one sheet containing materials in which there is a summary of the material that is accompanied by a collection of exercises . With the LKS students are expected to understand the description of the subject matter provided by the teacher. Based on observations and interviews that have been conducted in SMA PGRI 3 Padang that in the second semester junior class XI using teaching materials such as worksheets, worksheets used in schools does not meet the learning objectives that are developed by teachers and worksheets used in schools only contains only a summary of the material and not equipped with an image.This research aims to generate worksheets based Problem Solving biological material system ekskresi of human on a valid and practical . Type of research is the development of the procedural model that aims to produce a product, the product is developed using 3 - D stage of Four models define phase , design , and develop .Research subjects of 5 people validator and 20 students. The research data is the primary data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. The result is the value obtained validity by faculty and teachers of 88,14%, while the value of the practicalities of 87,22% by teachers and by students of the value of the practicalities of 86,45% . It can be concluded that the BLM has produced a valid and practical .

Abstract

ABSTRACT Lesson Plan (RPP) serves to streamline the learning process. To achieve that all teachers are expected to design a lesson plan (RPP) in accordance with the standards of Teacher Performance Assessment Instrument (IPKG). But in fact reality is just copying the teacher lesson in fact. The Teacher just coppied RPP from the old (KKG). RPP should fits with the character of local learners and RPP each semester has not been revised  in accordence with the derelopment of science and tecnology. Therefore conducted an analysis of the RPP. The purpose of this rosgarel is to deternine the standarized lesson plans that mode by state high scool teachers. This research is descriptive wich collects RPP that made from state high shcool teachers in Padang city. Sampling technique is Stratified Random Sampling. Based on the research results obtained on the completeness of the components that is with an average of 67 % and that there are no 33 % and the results of the analysis of assessment instruments in the RPP desert city with an average value of 70 % with a fairly standard criteria. From the analysis and completeness of the components can be concluded that the RPP in the city of Padang has a fairly standard criteria .

Abstract

Chili is a herbaceous plant of the family eggplant Solanaceae) which has the scientific name Capsicum annuum L. Chili has a lot of nutrients and vitamins, such as calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin B1 and Vitamin C. Besides being used for domestic purposes, peppers can also be used for industrial purposes such as, industry-seasoning, food and medicine or herbal. Efforts to increase the production of chili still have problems due to pest aphids (Myzus persicae). Aphids reproduce in two ways: with and without marriage or their eggs can develop into young without fertilization (Partegonesis). This pests life cycle ranges from 7-10 days. These pests attack plants by sucking liquid chili leaves, shoots, flower stalks or other plant parts, so that the leaves become mottled yellow (chlorotic) and eventually fall so chili production declined. This insect will be clustered so as to cover part of the plant. Of control this pest than by using insecticides as well as biological control by predators. Predator beetles are found is the javelin (Menochillus sexmaculata). Has done research on leaf Mite Population Density (Myzus persicae) and the predatory beetle javelin (Menochillus sexmaculata) At Chilli plants. This study was conducted using a descriptive survey in April 2012, from the results, thepopulation density of aphids Myzus persicae with an average of 64.4 people per stick plant predatory beetles and javelin Menochillus sexmaculata with an average of 2.4 individuals per stick plant.

Abstract

ABSTRACTChili sauce is a sauce derived from the main ingredient of chili peppers (Capsicum sp) of good quality, which is processed by adding spices with or without the addition of other foods and food additives that are allowed. Many outstanding chili sauce, ranging from truly hygienic until sauce that has a mixture of substances hazardous chemicals. This is due to the increasing number of home industry sprung up that are not wearing the correct rules to make the sauce. This study aims to determine the microbiological quality of the chili sauce outstanding local production in some of the market town of Padang. The method used in this study is a descriptive study. The sample in this study is 3 brand chili sauce and 1 sample comparison (brands that are well known and registered in FDA). Sampling was done with the survey directly to the 7 markets in the city of Padang. This study was conducted from July to August 2013 at the Faculty FMIPA Unand microbiology laboratory. The results showed there is microbial contamination in a local production of chili sauce Coliform bacteria and molds. Two samples were contaminated with Coliform bacteria characteristic of the presence of the turbid medium containing the sample and there is a gas bubble in the Durham tube, it indicates the presence of bacteria capable of fermenting carbohydrates (lactose). Fungi of the genus Aspergillus are found by 2 species, genus Penicillium by 2 species and 1 species which could not be identified (Unidentification). Could be concluded that the chili sauce kilogram outstanding local production in some of the market town of Padang identified contaminated by microbes.

Abstract

The Nilaparvata lugens Stal. is a harming parasitoid crop. It’s difficult to eliminatebecause it have faster metamorphosis . This parasitoid can form blooming population in ashort time and destroy crop at all of growth phase. The aim of this research is to know theeffects of Antifeedant extrac of Pterocarpus indicus Willd. to Feeding Strategy Nilaparvatalugens Stal. This research used Completely Randomized Design ( CRD) with 4 treatment and10 replication. The treatment are concentration 0 %, 2.5 %, 5 % and 7.5 %. The data analysisby ANOVA and than continued with LSD. This experiment conducted in ZoologyLaboratory of FMIPA UNP at February 2013. Result shows that concentration 5 % activitysearching Nilaparvata lugens Stal. require time which fastest to other treatment, the activityof grounding treatment with concentration 2.5 % requiring time which quickly while atactivity of gathering treatment with concentration 7.5 % very effective to pursue to eat it.Can conclude that extract of angsana at concentration 5 % can be use antifeedant byNilaparvata lugens Stal.

Abstract

ABSTRACT           The research was motivated by the result of student learning is still low. Which is the average value of daily test of biology, expecialy in matery of plant cells and animal cells class in semester one in the class XI (eleven)  or senior high school in Bayang is still under complete minimal criteria  established in that school . To solve this problems and to improve the result of student learning,  the teachers must do innovation in the process of student learning, do innovation in the process of student learning. One model that requires involvement of the student is to apply the model of Snowball Throwing accompanied by handout . This study aimed to examine the influence of result of  student learning in the study of biology through the model accompanied Snowball Throwing and handout in the class XI (eleven) of senior high school in  Bayang Kabupaten pesisir selatan for academic Year 2013/2014. This type of research is experimental with population of the student in the class XI (eleven) in senior high school in bayang listed in the school year 2013/2014 as much as 4 (four) class.  For example is in the class XI (eleven) in IA2 as experimen class and IA4 as control class taken using purposive random sampling technique . The study design was a randomized Only Control Group Design . Based on the analysis results obtained average achievement test in the experimental class was 76.23 and the standard deviation of 14.67 , while the average achievement test control class 70.43 and standard deviation 12.72 . After testing with the t-test is obtained price t.count = 1.7576 and t.table t = 1.6608 means t.count > t.table , then the hypothesis in this study with a level of 95 % is accepted . It can be concluded that the use of models of Snowball Throwing and handout have affect the result of student learning of the study of biology in senior high school in the class  XI (eleven) in Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan in Academic Year 2013/2014.

Abstract

Intestinal helminth infections are transmitted via soil (Soil Transmitted Helminths) isstill a health problem facing society in Indonesia. The STH worms infect more children livingin slums and have poor sanitation. Elementary School is located at 31 Pasir Kandang lowlandcoastal areas that the average population has lower economic level and have inadequate toiletfacilities. Therefore research has been carried out with the aim to determine the frequency ofSoil Transmitted Helminths in Primary School Pupils Pasir Kandang 31 Sub Tangah KotoPadang. December 9, 2012 using descriptive methods.The study was conducted onDecember 2 The population in this study were students of SDN 31 Pasir Kandang as manyas 368 people. Sampling was done by random sampling of a population of 57 people. Stoolexamination conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education Program STKIP PGRI WestSumatera by way of direct observation. The results showed that students of SDN 31 STHinfection as much as 59.65% with the percentage of each species from infected (20.59%Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura 14.71%, 5.88% hookworm, Ascaris lumbricoidesand Trichuris trichiura 35.29%, Trichuris trichiura and hookworm 2.94% after Ascarislumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura and hookworm 20.59%).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Brown Mud crab (Scylla serrata Forskal) living and perform spawning in Mangrove Forests. Gonad Maturity is a certain stage of gonadal development before and after spawning. The maturing gonadal development is part of reproduction before spawning occurs. This study was conducted to determine the Gonad Maturity of Brown Mud Crab (Scylla serrata Forskal) in the Buo Gulf Mangrove, Bungus, Teluk Kabung of Padang. The research was conducted in the month of May to July 2013 using the descriptive method through gonadal morphology observations Brown mud crab (Scylla serrata Forskal). the results showed  female Brown Mud Crab recovered amounted to 72 individual. The percentage of the Month of May until July Gonad Maturity I: 8.33%, Gonad Maturity II: 16.67%,  Gonad Maturity III: 16.67% Gonad Maturity IV: 13.89% Gonad Maturity V : 44.44%. Physic-chemical factor Waters measurement reports to temperature ranges from 28.4 to 31 ° C, pH 7-8, Salinitas water 32.3 to 34.5 ppm and depth of 50 cm-2 m.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was aimed at revealing the perception of the vocational schoolstudents toward Natural Science subject. This was a descriptive research. The population of the research was the students in class X of SMKN  (SMKN 2 and SMKN 3) majoring in Business and Management registered in the second semester of January-June 2013. The number of the population was 94 students; 48 students of SMKN 2 Padang   and 46 students of SMKN 3 Padang. Through simple random sampling technique, 20% of the population was taken as the sample. The data was gathered by using questionnaires of Likert  scale.  It  then  was  analyzed  by  using  percentage  formula  whose  result  was confirmed qualitatively into 5 category; very good, good, adequate, less adequate and poor. The result of the research indicated that the perception of the students majoring in Business and Management in SMKN 2 Padang and SMKN 3 Padang toward Natural Science subject was good (75,15%).
