Abstract

This research conducted on optical business in Pekanbaru, this study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of the strategy of competitive advantage in order to increase the volume of sales in the optical business in Pekanbaru.Methods of data collection using questionnaires. The questionnaire is the technique of data collection is done by providing a set of written questions to the respondent’s in charge. The sample is part of the number and characteristics of the population is owned by as many as 36 business owners optical. Data obtained from the questioner and then processed to then tested with statistics through SPSS program. the results showed that competitive advantage strategy cost leadership strategy (x1) and the differentiation strategy (x2) has positive influence on the sales volume. The calculated result is known that R square is coefficient of determination. So that, it obtained the value of R square is about 0,725. It is meaned that the influence of variable cost leadership and differentiation variable was 72,5% to sales volume.Keywords: competitive strategy,cost leadership, differentiation, sales volume.

Abstract

Supervision is very important in all work, especially in government, lack ofsupervision is a phenomenon that is polemical and losses for various parties, thisphenomenon occurs in Indragiri Hilir, where the supervision of the Department of Marineand Fisheries to Enterprises Fishing less than the maximum because there are many fishingvessels who do not have license arrest but still fishing sepenggunaan toxins in the process ofcatching fish. The authors wanted to examine further on the Control of Marine and Fisheriesin Enterprise Fishing Year 2012-2013.The purpose of this study was to determine the mechanism of supervision conductedby the Department of Marine and Fisheries Indragiri Hilir through to the fishing effort anddetermine the barriers that lead to a lack of oversight conducted by the Department ofMarine and Fisheries Indragiri Hilir in monitoring fishing effort. The method used isdescriptive qualitative. Informants in this study is the Department of Marine and FisheriesIndragiri Hilir Environment Agency Indragiri Hilir and Fishermen. Data CollectionTechniques with interviews to determine the extent of Supervision Department of Marine andFisheries in the fishing business. Qualitative data analysis technique that is performed on thedata, in this case the qualitative data in the form of information associated with the dataother then to get clarity on the truth.Results from this study, Monitoring Department of Marine and Fisheries IndragiriHilir in Enterprise Fishing has been carried out and in accordance with existing regulations,just not running optimally, due to lack of infrastructure and lack of funds to conductsurveillance, then the next factor less accuracy officers at while supervising and less firmnesssanctions applied so as not to make the fishermen fear or deterrent.Keywords: Control , Marine and Fisheries Agency, Business

Abstract

In assessing the financial health of banks and achievement, financial analysis requires several benchmarks. Benchmark that is often used is the ratio or index. Financial ratio analysis conducted to obtain financial information that has achieved a firm.Analysis of financial performance contained in Bank Indonesia Circular Letter No. 6/23 / DPNP is a calculation using the ratio of profitability and liquidity. The profitability ratio is the ratio used to look at the bank's ability to generate profits with the bank’s assets. While the liquidity ratio is the ratio used to look at the bank's ability to pay short-term obligations.The location of research in this study is IDX branch offices Pekanbaru located in Jalan Sudirman No. 73. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the profitability and liquidity determine the performance of the state-owned bank listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2008-2014.In this study, the methodology used is descriptive method, by describing the conditions of using the company's working capital ratio of profitability and liquidity. The sampling technique used in this study is nonprobability sampling, the purposive sampling technique collecting data through documentation that is done by examining and studying the documents that are relevant to the interests of research. Reference documents are the company's financial statements 2008 to 2014.From the results of data analysis using financial ratio analysis that include liquidity ratios, profitability ratios, the ratio of bank business risks, capital adequacy ratio, and the ratio of business efficiency. It can be concluded that the profitability ratio in state banks and the overall experience fluctuations can be quite good.Keywords: Profitability Ratio, Liquidity Ratio

Abstract

Consistency is one of the important key in the process of policyimplementation due to the successful achievement of specified goals withcontinuous action. The problem of street vendors into a phenomenon that is stilldifficult to overcome. In this case the Civil Service Police Unit of Pekanbaruresponsible for regulating street vendors. Lack of resources and supportinginfrastructure of labor, lack of existing regulations and lack of adherence to thelaw society will be a major obstacle in efforts Pekanbaru City municipal police inrunning public order. Basically consistency can be measured by indicators of thestability program, compliance with the program of action has been set, andcommitment. If these indicators are met, then with a good level of consistency thatcan achieve the goals that have been set.The purpose of this study was to determine the consistency of PekanbaruCity Government in maintaining public order, case studies Street Vendors inPekanbaru and also to determine the factors that influence the consistency memPekanbaru City Government in maintaining order umu, especially street vendors.In this study the authors using Snowball Sampling. Data collection techniques inthis study namely through observation, interviews, and documents. Indicators inthis study that affect the consistency of Pekanbaru City Government inmaintaining public order, the case study of street vendors is a personal number,SOP, unfamiliarity will rule society.Results of this study concluded that the Civil Service Police Unit ofPekanbaru has not been consistent in maintaining order five street vendors in thecity of Pekanbaru. This is due to lack of resources, facilities and infrastructurework and public awareness of the regulations that affect the consistency inimplementing the rules that have been set. Through this study the authorsconclude that the Civil Service Police Unit of Pekanbaru has not been consistentin maintaining order five street vendors in the city of Pekanbaru. Abstract

This study is intended to determine the deforestation reduction policy in Rokan Hilir. This study focused on prevention of deforestation in Rokan Hilir. Deforestation in Rokan Hilir is due to land and forest fires, illegal logging and forest clearing also be used as land conversion. With the formulation of research problems that How deforestation reduction policy in Rokan Hilir and the factors that affect deforestation reduction policy in Rokan Hilir. Based on the above, the study aims to identify and analyze deforestation reduction policy in Rokan Hilir. The research method is qualitative descriptive research data collection was done by interview and documentation.From the results of field research shows in forest fire prevention has not run optimally, it can be seen from the response such as the creation of the canal. Not all districts made canal just a few. Later in the prevention of illegal logging, there is still a lack of law enforcement efforts to make the perpetrators of illegal logging with companies and people still continue to deforestation. Later in the prevention of land conversion has not run optimally. This is evident from the lack of decisive action or sanctions against companies that do encroachment of forest areas and in charge functioned into plantations. The factors that affect the implementation of the policy response to deforestation in Rokan Hilir, through the theory of policy implementation, namely: Target and policy standards, performance policies, resources, communication between implementing agencies, Characteristics implementing agencies, economic environment, social and political and Attitudes implementers. In this study, the authors conclude that the Government Rokan Hilir either through the Forest Service has not been serious in handling the destruction of forests (deforestation) that occurred in Rokan Hilir. But the Government should Rokan Hilir especially its policy making in addressing deforestation in Rokan Hilir.Keywords: Policy, Mitigation, Deforestation.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Special Schools Children Self. The purpose of this study was to Describing the characteristics of children with autism and how to determine the role of parents in dealing with children with autism. In this study the authors collected data to descend directly into the field and do the interview technique to place the research location. Respondents in this study consists of 4 families. The data obtained was processed in the form of descriptive qualitative analysis. The conclusion of this study is in general it is not easy for parents to accept reality when their child are stated having autism. This mental attitude which can accept the reality often impact on the inability of parents to adjust to the situation of children. Whereas autism require a very complex treatment and requires active participation of parents in many ways related to the therapy.The results of this study indicate that there was a significant correlation between parental adjustment and their role in autism therapy. So concern for parents of children with autism is very important, because with the better parent to acceptance and adjustment to their child is expected to be the better their active role in various efforts to the treatment of autism.Keywords: Characteristics, Role, Parents

Abstract

Practice Designation of Acting (PJS) in an environment of village government still maintained until now. In Kuantan Singingi even contain it in legal products, namely Singingi Kuantan District Regulation No. 4 of 2009. In Article 46 paragraph (7) states that "after the dismissal of the chief, the Regent raised Acting Head of the village with the principal task of holding Elections Village head most 6 (six) months after delivery of the Decree as Acting Chief. The research problems are how the duties and authority of Acting (PJS) Head of the village in the district of Pangean Regency Kuantan Singingi governance and how the village after the stipulation of Acting (PJS) Head of the village in the district of Pangean Regency Kuantan Singingi.The research location is in the district of Pangean Regency Kuantan Singingi. The method used is qualitative research, data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation.Based on the survey results revealed that during the leadership of Acting (PJS) Village Head in the village of Pasar Baru, Pulau Kumpai and the village of Padang Kunik not carrying out the duties and authority as it should be, so that the condition of the village is not working properly in accordance with the purpose of government and rural communities in particular, and the resulting adverse impact such instability village conditions. Village government organization after the establishment of Acting (PJS) Head of the village in the district of Pangean Regency Kuantan Singingi impact in the fields of administration, regulatory areas of the village, and the village chief Decision Division.Keywords : village government, Duties Acting (PJS)

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know Working while Schooling case study Students of Riau University who Work around Bina Widya Campus as Internet Cafe Operator, which is (1) Reasons of Students of Riau University in Bina Widya Campus who choose to work while have a lecture in spending their leisure time (2) Behavioral Impacts of Students of Riau University in Bina Widya Campus who work while have a lecture.The research uses qualitative descriptive approach method with phenomenology. The data sources of this research are humans (informan), activity, place and another document to support this research. Footage techniques in this research is purposive. Data collection uses direct observation, interviews and documentation. Triangulation source is used to seek the validity of the data. The analysis technique is interactive analysis model.According to the result of the research, it can be concluded that the first reasons of Students of Riau University in Bina Widya Campus working while schooling can be seen through (1) The purpose of working while schooling is fulfilling the economic needs because of the difficult family economic condition, filling their lisure time with the productive activity and intending to find a new experience. (2) Employments which are taken by Students of Riau University in Bina Widya Campus are employments that use shift system. (3) In working, Students of Riau University in Bina Widya Campus consider several things that become their reasons to choose the employment, such as a job that has flexible office hours, it does not have any special requirements for the employee, the rules as an employee are not binding, fit to skills and hobbies and consider the dormitory rules and regulations. Second, working while schooling that is done as utilizing leisure time culture has postive and negative impacts for Students of Riau University in Bina Widya Campus. The positive impacts of working while schooling are getting the new experience and the new knowledge, Capability of living independently and adding more friends or expanding the association. Whereas the negative impacts occur when students don’t manage the time well. The negative impacts are attending the lectures late, being late in collecting the tasks, learning time becomes reduced, Intention to attend class is very low, low interaction with friends in the class.Keywords: The Impact Schooling while Working As Internet Cafe Operator

Abstract

The development of sport recently changes along with the changes in legislationgoverning regional autonomy and regulation about sport.Karate coaching in Riau Province is done in various forms such as athletes nursery,and the provision of facilities and infrastructure. Government authority in coaching karateathletes are handled directly by FORKI ( Federation of Indonesian Karate) as an organizationthat became the container sport karate, KONI ( Indonesian National Sports Committee) as thecenre of Youth and Sports ) as the agency government (an arm of the central government )that is sprcifically in charge of youth and sports.Coaching karate athletes in the Province of Riau still not going so well, we can seefrom the low achievement Riau Province karate athletes who are less able to compete withkarate athletes from other provinces invarious national championships, still lackinfrastructure and facilities to practice.Keywords: authority, coaching, sports, achievement, facilities, infrastructure

Abstract

Kesehatan, merupakan hal yang menjadi topik pembicaraan hangat di seluruh dunia saat ini, semua bentuk tindakan medis terus diperbaharui untuk mencipatakan kehidupan yang sehat diantara semua kesibukan, setiap orang ingin mempunyai hidup yang sehat tetapi tidak dengan mengganggu waktu bekerja mereka. Pertanyaan demi pertanyaan akan muncul dibenak peneliti, mengapa mereka mau melakukan hal tersebut. LibuRUN Pekanbaru adalah wadah yang digunakan atau yang disediakan untuk orang-orang yang tidak sempat untuk berolahraga pada pagi atau sore hari, tetapi masih ingin berolahraga, dan akhirnya di akomodir untuk berolahraga pada malam hari, dalam bentuk olahraga lari.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; 1. Motif untuk menjadi anggota, 2. mengetahui kondisi fisik anggota, 3. mengetahui kondisi psikis anggota, 4. mengetahui kondisi sosial anggota, dan 5. mengetahui faktor apa yang mempengaruhi terbentuknya konsep diri anggota.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 10 orang, yang terdiri dari 5 orang anggota LibuRUN Pekanbaru, 5 orang anggota keluarga yang ditentukan secara purposive. Untuk mendapatkan data, penulis menggunakan tiga teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu wawancara, observasi serta dokumentasi. Untuk melihat tingkat keabsahan data, peneliti menggunakan teknik triangulasi, perpanjangan keikutsertaan, dan kecukupan referensi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anggota masuk ke komunitas LibuRUN Pekanbaru dipengaruhi oleh motif yang didasarkan pada motif masa lalu (because motive) yang tergolong pada motif sosiogenetis, berupa kebutuhan pemenuhan akan diri, motif dokumentasi, motif harga diri dan kebutuhan untuk mencari identitas serta motif masa yang akan datang (in order to motives) yang tergolong pada motif sosiogenetis berupa motif kebutuhan akan nilai dan pemenuhan akan diri. Kondisi fisik anggota terbentuk karena, kekuatan, koordinasi, kecepatan, daya tahan, ketepatan dan keseimbangan selama bergabung di LibuRUN. Kondisi psikis terbentuk karena kondisi kejiawaan anggota dalam melakukan aktivitas, baik itu motorik, kognitif maupun emosional. Kondisi sosial terbentuk karena ingin mencapai pola pikir yang inovatif, sikap, serta kehidupan sosial untuk mendapatkan penghidupan yang lebih bermartabat, serta konsep diri anggota terbentuk karena pengaruh, dorongan dan dukungan keluarga (significant others) dan kelompok rujukan (reference group).Kata kunci: Konsep Diri, LibuRUN, Pekanbaru.
