Abstract

The leadership of the leader of the Dayun Village in community development and empowerment is very much needed in helping the community to be more independent and empowered. Dayun Village, Dayun District, Siak Regency is one of the successful villages and became the best village in Riau Province in 2018-2019. This study aims to describe the leadership of the Penghulu in the development and empowerment of the people of Kampung Dayun in 2018-2019. This study uses situational leadership theory to help answer objectives. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research location is in Dayun Village, Dayun District, Siak Regency. Then the data collection techniques used interview research and documentation. While the data analysis used qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques.             The results of the study indicate that the leadership of the Kampung Dayun leader manages power for the benefit of the community at large. Then in this study the leader of the Dayun Village used the Innovative-Progressive leadership type, this leadership model was not anti-society but emphasized common interests, transparent, real and accountable. Where all forms of development and empowerment programs starting from government and development are carried out to empower the village community. Furthermore, the leader of the Dayun Village carries out leadership in a normative manner according to the main duties and functions of the Penghulu so that they carry out development and community empowerment programs following the existing rules. In the leadership of the leader of Kampung Dayun embracing all parties, village officials and the community so that they succeeded in becoming the best and independent Village in Riau Province in 2018-2019. Keywords:  Headman Leadership, Community Development and Empowerment.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Andalas Baruh Bukit Village, Sungayang District, registered land district. The purpose of this research is to find out the dispute over possession of high pusako assets in the community and how to resolve conflicts in the custom of controlling high pusako assets in the Andaleh Baruh Bukik village. The theory used in this research is conflict and role theory. The data analysis technique used by the researcher to answer the problem formulation in this study used a qualitative research method by collecting research data and analyzed descriptively which was then analyzed based on theory and presented in descriptive form. The data collection technique in this thesis starts from looking for data obtained from various sources by observing and informants are selected based on certain criteria where the results are 5 informants. Based on the results of research in the field, the role of the mamak and the chiefs is very important in the clan, in addition to protecting the nephews and the clan, they must also protect the pusako property that has been inherited by previous ancestors. If there is a dispute over possession of high pusako assets, then the mamak and the hulu will be the first to resolve the conflict before being brought in by the customary institution, namely the Kerapatan Adat Nagari (KAN).Keywords : Role , Niniak mamak, high pusako property.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work performance appraisal and work discipline on nurse performance partially and simultaneously. This study used a questionnaire as a means of collecting data which was distributed to 55 respondents to the nurses RSIA Eria Bunda Pekanbaru. The data is then processed using descriptice analysis an statistical analysis using SPSS by conducting validity, reability testing, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear analysis, determination analysis (), and hypothesis testing with t test (partial test) and F test (simultaneous).         The results of the research show that testing the first hypothesis is the assessment of work performance on the performance of nurses, namely  (3,920) >   (1,674) it means that work performance appraisal has a significant effect on nurse perfomanc. The second Hasil uji   (12.550) >  (3,18), it means that work discipline has a significant effect on the performance of nurse. Abstract

The trade war between the United States and China leads to Indonesian export to both countries. Indonesia is trading partner with the two countries that suffer from conflicts. This situation demands Indonesia to take actions to avoid the impact of the trade war. The declining of Indonesian export of paper raw materials to China result in finding new market. This study describe how the Indonesian government’s effort to deal with this issue.The perspective used in this research is the perspective of Neo-Liberalism, as well the analysis of the nation state level. This study used theory of hyper competitive which is able to explain the strategy of the Indonesian government to face difficult global situations and create policies to overcome problems due to the trade war between the United States and China. The analysis will use document from Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) Dubai, official application of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Communication and information, and statistical data from UN Comtrade.This research shows Indonesian government policy dealing the impact of the trade war between United States and China on the decline Indonesia’s paper export to China is try to approach to the United Arab Emirates market share by signing a momerandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the United Arab Emirates. Keywords   : United States, China, Trade War, Indonesian Policy, Export, United Arab Emirates, Paper.

Abstract

The role of government tourism office is very important in the development of a tourist attraction. The purpose of this research is to know the role of government tourism office  on Bengkalis Regency in developing the site of Datuk Laksamana Raja Di Laut and what are the inhibiting factors and supporting factors in the development of the site so that later it can increase the number of tourist visits. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research are show that as a motivator Bengkalis Regency Government Tourism Office plays a role in providing motivation to the community in the development and preservation of historical sites and involving the community in its management. As a facilitator, the Tourism Office plays a role in facilitating facilities and infrastructure in stages to meet the needs of visiting tourists. Meanwhile, as a dynamist, the Tourism Office collaborates with various parties such as the community, village administrations office and the government in the development of tourism for Datuk Laksamana Raja Di Laut. The historical value and high Malay culture are supporting factors in the development of historical tourism at the Datuk Laksamana Raja Di Laut site. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the lack of awareness of the surrounding community towards Malay historical heritage, inadequate development funds, and access to Tomb I and Tomb II which can only be passed by motorbike.   Keyword : The Role of the Government Tourism Office, Development,Tourism Datuk Laksamana Raja Di Laut Site.

Abstract

Community empowerment is a process in which the community, especially those who are resource-poor, neglected women and groups are supported in order to be able to improve their welfare independently. Increased independence and welfare of the community in this case through the development of potential, especially in terms of economic development. The development of the level of community welfare through the economic development policies of the urban community is then realized through the Savings and Loans Village Economic Business program (UEK-SP). The existence of this program is expected to improve the welfare of the community's life through the village economy through savings and loan activities. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the interaction in the dynamics of the Savings and Loans Economic Business Policy (UEK-SP) black water resplendent black water village umbrella sekaki sub-district Pekanbaru city in the empowerment of urban community in 2010-2018 ?.This study aims to determine the form of interactions that occur in the dynamics of the Savings and Loans Economic Business Policy (UEK-SP) black water in the black water sub-village umbrella sekaki kota Pekanbaru in the process of community empowerment in 2010-2018. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research data obtained from observation, interviews and documentation.From the results of this research, it can be seen the interactions that occur in the dynamics of community empowerment policy through UEK-SP Air Hitam Gemilang include (1) interactions and interpretations between policies and internal organizations affected by the organization, (2) bureaucratic behavior from top to bottom, and (3 ) leadership behavior to members of the policy target group. Interactions that occur then cause changes in the organization organizing the UEK-SP program by the provincial government to the Pekanbaru city government through the Pekanbaru City Women's Empowerment and Family Planning Agency (BPPMKB).Keywords: Policy Dynamics, Community Empowerment, UEK-SP

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the largest coconut production in the world. This can be seen from Indonesia's exports which almost every year have increased with the aim of exporting to various countries. In 2011-2015 there was a decrease in the amount of coconut production, but from the export side, there was an increase at the same time. Likewise, exports of Indonesian coconut and coconut products to Thailand experienced an increase in 2011-2015. Of the many destination countries for Indonesian coconut exports, Thailand became the destination country with the largest increase in exports from Indonesia, while in the same period Indonesian coconut production experienced a decline. Therefore, this study aims to look at the factors causing the increase in Indonesian coconut exports to Thailand in 2011-2015.According to the liberal theory, market sovereignty in the economic process is very important, this theory assumes a natural harmony of interests between various people and various nations. Therefore, if individuals are left free to pursue their own interests in a trade economy based on a division of labor and on the structure or composition of the factors of their own production, the welfare of a group of individuals, a nation or a group of nations as a whole can be increased.The results of this study are, the increase in Indonesian coconut exports to Thailand that occurs due to the large demand for coconut from Thailand, so that from this large coconut demand, Indonesia allocates more coconut production towards exports, in this case Indonesia sees market opportunities that can used to get benefits from economic cooperation through export activities carried out. Keywords: export, coconut, increase, commodity, cooperation, agricultural sector

Abstract

Advertisements on various social media which are now also one of the most effective and efficient commercial platforms. According to the Selective Influence Theory, the same advertising persuasion will go through a process of selectivity in each audience, which in turn will shape product purchasing decisions and attitudes. In distributing advertisements and marketing products, it takes a message, concept or media that effectively influences others to be interested in the products we market or remember advertisements that are marketed well. In this case, the ad from Nivea #ExtraCare comes with a different advertising concept andp message. This study aims to determine the effect of #ExtraCare nivea advertisements on women's self-confidence.The method used in this research is quantitative research methods, and the type of research approach used is a survey. The sampling technique used is random sampling of 100 respondents obtained through the Slovin formula. The data analysis method used is simple linear regression, t test, and testing the coefficient of determination.The results of this study are: there is an effect of advertising on self-confidence in women in the city of Pekanbaru, seen from the results of the t-test analysis, it is proven that tcount (advertising) is 9.337,> t table 1.983, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The magnitude of the influence of advertising on self-confidence is 37%, this can be seen from the test results of the determinant coefficient, rcount is known to be 0.610, then to find out how much influence variable X has on Variable Y by using the determinant coefficient r2. From the calculation results obtained 37.2% rounded up to 37%. With a fairly strong category and the remaining 63% is influenced by other factors. Keywords: Advertising, Nivea and Self Confidence.

Abstract

This research will explain the cultural diplomacy carried out by Indonesia through The XVIII Asian Games which was held in 2018. Asian Games 2018 took place in Indonesia, and for the first time in history, Asian Games 2018 was held in two cities, Jakarta and Palembang. As a country with rich culture, Indonesia takes advantage of Asian Games 2018 as a moment to carry out cultural diplomacy in order to build nation branding to the international community.This research uses constructivist perspective, cultural diplomacy theory, and nation branding concept. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. Meanwhile, data collection is done by using library research technique which consists of books, journals, news, and websites with reliable credibility. This research proves that Indonesia has carried out cultural diplomacy through Asian Games 2018 to build its nation branding. Cultural diplomacy carried out by Indonesia can be seen from various aspects; (1) Asian Games 2018 pre-event; (2) The official theme song for Asian Games 2018; (3) Logo and mascot for Asian Games 2018; (4) The Asian Games 2018 opening ceremony; (5) Culinary during Asian Games 2018; (6) The Asian Games 2018 medal; (7) People, institution, and apparatus of Indonesia itself.Keywords: Asian Games 2018, Spirit of Indonesia, Cultural Diplomacy, Nation Branding

Abstract

The Akit community in Titiakar Village is an environmental empowerment. How unfit the environment in which the Akit tribe of Titiakar Village lives is clean. Clean water needs for bathing, washing, and cooking activities generally use rain water and well water. The condition of the well water is yellowish, smelly and brackish. Some wells have used electricity. Rainwater is an alternative to get clean water sources. Rainwater from the roof of the house is channeled to the storage tank. Clean water is very difficult to obtain. So that the Akit people must take the initiative to collect rainwater. However, rain certainly does not always fall, another way is to share wells with neighbors. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to look at the environmental sanitation of the Akit Tribe community of Titi Akar Village and how the net meaning of the Akit Tribe community of Titi Akar Village. This study uses the theory of social behavior that is behavior can be understood as a concrete action that exists in humans which is manifested from the individual in the form of an attitude of the limbs or in the form of spontaneous speech without planned or thought and without coercion. Researchers used descriptive qualitative analysis by assigning 5 research subjects to 4 informants and 1 key informant who were taken intentionally (purposive sumpling) with the criteria set. Keywords: Environmental Sanitation.
