Abstract

The research was conducted to understand how the two actors of the nation state, in this case the City of Bandung and the City of Seoul, cooperate in various ways to increase the capacity of their respective regions in multi-sectors. Sister City or sister/twin city is a collaboration that has been built by the two actors. The research was made based on the theory of paradiplomacy, in the level of analysis of the nation state to understand the implementation of a cooperation that was agreed upon by the collaborating actors. Data collection was carried out using qualitative research methods, with data sourced from the official website for the Regional Cooperation with Overseas Bandung City, the Korea-Seoul Metropolitan City site, books, and journals that discussed issues related to sister city cooperation, especially sister cities by the two actors, namely Bandung and Seoul. The results of this paper show that it is comparable to the hypothesis that was developed where the implementation of the sister city cooperation is going well. This is seen from the good implementation of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Employee Apprenticeship Program in the Bandung City Government, Facilitating the Opening of Little Bandung Wall in Seoul City, and Revitalizing the Cikapundung River. Abstract

Branding is an activity to communicate, build up, and maintain a brand in order to put the perspective to other people who see it. However, branding itself is not limited to product differentiation, but is also related to trademarks, visual characteristics, credibility, perceptions, logos, images, impressions, characters and also the perceptions of consumers themselves about the product. This research aims to find out what are the stages of branding and how to implement the process of branding dodol produced by UD Kemas in such a way that it can become a unique souvenir of Bengkalis Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the actual situation by collecting information data directly from the field. The key informants of this research are the founders and managers of UD Kemas, UD Kemas workers, consumers and the distributor itself. This research uses data collection techniques from literature study, observation, documentation and interviews. The results of this research is that the stages and implementation of branding carried out by UD Kemas can be considered good to such extend that there is a very good inflation in sales. Keywords: Branding, UD Kemas, Souvenirs, Bengkalis Regency.

Abstract

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus which can irritate the respiratory tract. Since Covid-19 has been declared a global pandemic. Various policies have been formulated to deal with this pandemic, one of which is the vaccination program. This study aims to find out and analyze the efforts made by Indonesia in importing the Covovax vaccine produced by India during the Covid-19 period. This research will also discuss what efforts have been made by Indonesia to be able to obtain the vaccine so that it can be used and distributed evenly among all Indonesian people. This study uses qualitative research methods, with data collection techniques through literature studies sourced from several books, journals, articles, and also websites. This research also uses the perspective of neoliberalism, the level of analysis of the nation state, and also uses the theory of diplomacy to further strengthen this research. The research results prove that the success of Indonesia's efforts to import the covovax vaccine from India started with a meeting of the Indian delegation discussing the potential for cooperation between the two countries, then the Indonesian government made a joint agreement, and finally resolved the joint problem. The results of Indonesia's efforts to import the covavax vaccine from India in 2019-2022 were declared successful, this can be seen from the implementation, namely: 1) Indonesia and India entered into a vaccine agreement, 2) Prepared a vaccine budget. 3) Conducting vaccine negotiations/diplomacy, 4) Importing vaccines, and 5) Indonesia conducting licensing or the legality of the covovax vaccine. Abstract

The implementation of vaccination in Pekanbaru City in 2021 is considered not going well, because there are problems related to the implementation of the Covid-19 Vaccination implementation policy in Pekanbaru City. This study aims to determine and analyze the implementation of Pekanbaru City Government policies in the implementation of Covid-19 Vaccination and the inhibiting factors in implementing vaccination policies for the community in Pekanbaru City in 2021. This study uses policy implementation theory by looking at the elements, namely:1) tractability of the problem, 2) ability of policy decision to structure implementation 3) nonstatury variable affecting implementation. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods. While the author's data sources use interview and documentation techniques. The location of this research is in Pekanbaru City. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the vaccination policy in Pekanbaru City is based on the Presidential Regulation number 99 in 2020 and the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia number 10 in 2021, which is related to the technical implementation and vaccination process. Meanwhile, the Pekanbaru City Government in implementing the vaccination policy can form a Mayor's Decree related to the task force for the acceleration of vaccination in Pekanbaru City. The implementation of community vaccination in Pekanbaru City involves all parties, including the Mayor of Pekanbaru, Regional Apparatuses, Regional Hospitals and Private Hospitals. The implementation of vaccination in Pekanbaru City achieve the 70% target by 2021. In addition, the impact of the vaccination policy in Pekanbaru City has an effect on the activities of the people of Pekanbaru City which are starting to improve. The inhibiting factors from the implementation of vaccination policies in Pekanbaru City are the limited dose of vaccine from the center, the lack of communication between the Pekanbaru City Government and the Riau Provincial Government regarding community vaccination data that is out of sync and the public understanding of Pekanbaru City is still negative about the impact of the vaccine. Abstract

Tardidi tradition is one of the Batak Toba ethnic culture. There's an aspect of symbolic and meaning need to be represent from attribute and people behavior from Tardidi tradition. Purpose of this research to understand symbolic situation, interaction of social product, and interpretation tardidi tradition to Batak Toba ethnic child in Duri City. This research method is qualitative and interaction symbolic approach. There a eight Informant for this research such 2 tradition leader, 4 actors of uncle that represent parents, aunt and 2 common society. The Result of this research, symbolic situation in tardidi tradition to ethnic batak toba child Duri City conduct physic and social object. The physic object involves (dekke mas), ulos parompa, boras sipir ni tondi, tumpak, jambar, dan pasahat parsituak na tonggi. The social object involves pray to parents form their child, aunt, uncle, and common society Batak Toba ethnic. Interpretation of tardidi tradition conduct opened and closed behavior. Abstract

This study aims to describe how the visitor’s assessment of the facilities of the blue lagoon tourism village in Yogyakarta. As well as obstacles and efforts made in improving the quality of facilities. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. There are 99 samples taken and determined by the researcher based on the Slovin technique. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by questionnaires, documentation and observation. Likert scale is used to measure value intervals in quantitative data. This research uses Spillane theory. The result of the study indicated that the visitor’s assessment of the facilities of the blue lagoon tourism village in Yogyakarta is in good category. Abstract

This research was conducted on Scavenger in this study the Nias traditional marriage dowry (Bowo) is very mandatory in carrying out traditional Nias marriages. However, along with the times, the dowry (Bowo) is not easy to fulfill because of the large costs that are borne by the men to carry out traditional Nias marriages and the procedures are no longer carried out as a whole in the Nias area and outside Nias (nomads). The subjects studied were 5 people to search for the determination of informants using pourposive sampling technique, where the sample was taken intentionally and in accordance with the criteria determined by the author. The method used in writing this research is qualitative research. The theory used is the theory of tradition and social change.The results obtained from research in the field of dowry provisions in the procedure for carrying out traditional Nias marriages are determined from the degree of social status of the Nias community which is calculated in the form of dowry (Bowo) as a form of acknowledgment of respect and appreciation for the dignity of women, establishing kinship, and preventing divorce.Keywords: Determination of Dowry, Procedure for Continuing Marriage

Abstract

The City of Pekanbaru provides many accommodation places with fairly good facilities, with a strategic location and abundant varities. Many types of accommodation have developed in Pekanbaru City, one of which is a five-star hotel, especially the Hotel Pangeran Pekanbaru which is a four-star hotel. This study aims to determine the implementation of the washing cycle in the laundry section at the Hotel Pangeran Pekanbaru. This study relates the application of the washing cycle to the elements of Flush, Break, Suds, Carryover Suds, Bleach, Rinse, and Extract. This study uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach to describe and explain the situation that occurs by collecting data and information in the field. The sources of informants in this study were the Manager, Supervisor, and Laundry Attendant at the Laundry Section of the Hotel Pangeran Pekanbaru. In this study, the data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study reveal that the implementation of services has been carried out based on the relevant Washing Cycle by paying attention to the elements of Flush, Break, Suds, Carryover Suds, Bleach, Rinse, and Extract. Abstract

Regional governments have great authority in exploring their own financial resources to be able to carry out regional autonomy that is broad, real and responsible. One of the financial sources that can be developed by local governments is local taxes which are a component of local revenue (PAD). Pekanbaru City where as the capital of Riau Province which is developing towards a metropolitan area has active population mobility both in various trade and industrial businesses, so that the tax sector is a potential source of income for regional development, especially advertisement tax, but in reality in recent years the tax realization advertisements have not reached their targets, therefore it is necessary to implement appropriate advertisement policies in increasing local revenue, especially advertisement tax. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the implementation of advertising tax policies in increasing regional own-source revenue in Pekanbaru City and to determine the factors that influence the implementation of advertisement tax policies in increasing regional ownsource revenue in Pekanbaru City. The urgency of this research is that it is hoped that it can be a solution and input for Bapenda in implementing advertising policies in Pekanbaru City and increasing regional income for better regional development. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study concluded that the implementation of the Advertising Tax Area Original Revenue Increase Program in Pekanbaru City had been carried out properly with reference to regional tax regulations and regional income increase programs compiled and determined by the Pekanbaru City Regional Revenue Agency, regarding the size and objectives that had been contained in the policy. and programs, resources that have been set and provided by the City government, a clear bureaucratic structure, inter-line communication and a conducive environment to realize the realization according to the targets set, the Implementation of the Advertising Tax Area Original Income Increase Program in Pekanbaru City is in the category enough done Keywords: Implementation, program, Increasing Regional Original Income, taxes, billboards

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality and pricing on the purchase decision by-products at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative statistics with explanatory research. The sample in this study amounted to 50 respondent who were determined using the census technique and using a questionnaire for data collection techniques. From the data analysis which includes validity test, reliability test, linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing and coefficient of determination test, the results show that product quality has a significant effect on purchasing decisions by t count (9.089) > t table (1,676), pricing has a significant effect on decision purchase of t count (5.521) > t table (2.009) and the results of the F test of product quality and pricing on purchasing decisions show a value of 74.5%, meaning that product quality and pricing simultaneously have a significant effect on purchasing decisions at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru.
