Abstract

The extention are contribute in order to increase the productivity, production and income of the farming communities. But lately, the existence of extention institution are decrease that cause by vary factors. In Riau Province, the implementation of agricultural extention in Kuantan Singingi district at level of sub-district are under management of sub-department or Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis Dinas (UPTD). This research are intend to reviewing the vision and mission, to analyze the duty and fuction based on existing structure on the institution of each department at Kuantan Singingi district, reviewing the existing rule and policy on each department at Kuantan Singingi district. The result of the research shows that all department has vision and mission which is descript the performance that will be achieve for the next 5 year period since the vision and mission that published. Basically, the vision and missionthat had made has shows the success from the time to the time, but still there are problems on achieve vision and mission. Meanwhile from programa agricultural extention, there is 1 department that doesn’t make the programa of agricultural extention, which is on Fisheries department. Point out of the fifth departments has 1 Person as Head of Department, 1 Person as Secretary, 3 Person as Head of Divisions and some several person as section. Rule and policy that made by each department at Kuantan Singingi district, basically emphasize to increase the quality of administration of the institutional, public management, and the improvement of the knowledge of human resources as well as at the department environment or on the  farm level.

Abstract

Onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a horticultural commodity belonging to spice vegetables that have many benefits and high economic value.This study aims to examine the effect of interaction of several types of manure and NPK and to get the best treatment of the growth and onion result (Allium ascalonicum L.). The research was conducted at experimental garden of Agriculture Faculty of University of Riau, Campus of Bina Widya Km 12,5 Simpang Baru, Tampan Pekanbaru.The study was conducted four months from September to December 2016,conducted experimentally using Randomized Complete Design (RCD) Factorial comprises 2 factors. Factor 1 type of manure (P) 10 tonnes/ha (2 kg/ha) comprises 4 levels: without manure, cow manure, chicken manure, goat manure. Factor 2 dose NPK (N) comprises 3 levels: without NPK, NPK dose 37.5 g/line, dose NPK 75 g/line, from both factors obtained 12 combinations with 3 replications there were 36 experimental units. The parameters those observedwere plant height, leaf number, greatest tubers, tubers number, weight fresh tubers, and weight tuber are suitable to store.The results of the variance continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test at 5% level. The results showed the interaction of chicken manure and NPK dose significantly affected  plant height, leaf number, greatest tubers, tubers number, weight fresh tubers, and weight tuber are suitable to store.The best combination is in the treatment of chicken manure 10 tonnes/ha and 75 g/2m2 NPK fertilizer.  Keywords:Manure, NPK Fertilizer, Onion

Abstract

The research aims to know the interaction and get the best dose of compost mixture of oil palm empty fruit bunches with boiler ash and phosphorus fertilizer to the growth and yield of mung bean. This research conducted in UPT area of research farm in Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University from August 2015 until October 2015. This research used a randomized completely design with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the dose of compost mixture of oil palm empty fruit bunches with boiler ash consist of 3 levels (A1= 0 ton/ha, A2= 5 + 1 ton/ha and A3= 10 +0,5 ton/ha). The second factor is the dose of phosphorus fertilizer that consist of 3 levels (B1= 0 kg P2O5/ha, B2= 46 kg P2O5/ha and B3= 92 kg P2O5/ha). Parameters measured were plant height, number of branch, flowering time, number of nodules, plant dry weight, pods number per plant, the percentage of pithy pods per plant, yield per plant and weight of 100 seeds. Data were analyzed statistically using ANOVA and followed with DNMRT at level of 5%. The result showed the interaction between giving compost mixture of oil palm empty fruit bunches with boiler ash and the phosphorus fertilizer increasedplant dry weight, production per clumps sample and weight of 100 seeds.compost mixture of oil palm empty fruit bunches with boiler ash dose 10+ 0,5 ton/ha and phosphorus fertilizer dose 46 and 92 kg P2O5/ha showed the best result in rate of plant height, number of branch, number of nodules, plant dry weight, pods number per plant, weight of 100 seeds and yield per plant, which is the best yield per plant is 11,96 g             (1,99 ton/ha). Keywords: mung been, oil palm empty fruit bunches, boiler ash, phosphorus fertilizer

Abstract

This study aims to analyze  the agribusiness of Orange Siam in Kuok Subdistrict. This study was conducted in Kuok Subdistrict, Kampar District. The respondent technique was taken by purposive sampling with 34 farmers. The results showed that the upstream agribusiness subsystem was in the right category. On farm agribusiness subsystem, orange siam farmer spend the production cost of farming amounted to Rp. 35.042.645/Ha/year. The gross revenues received by the orange siam farmer amounted to Rp. 71.853.659/Ha/year  with average production is 4.970 Kg/Ha/year. Net income received by the orange siam farmers of Rp. 36.811.014/Ha/ with Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) > 1.05. Downstream agribusiness related to post-harvest handling by orange siam farmer only fruit collection and fruit sorting activities. Marketing subsystem related marketing channel of orange siam farmers in Kuok Subdistrict consists of 3 marketing channels, that is farmer-consumer, farmer-retailer-consumer, and farmer-wholesalers-retailer-consumer. Supporting institutional subsystem in Kuok Subdistrict are government institution, agricurtural extension institutes, and farmer groups. Keywords : Agribusiness, Orange Siam, Benefit Cost Ratio

Abstract

The total area of Kuantan Singingi Regency reach ± 7656.03 km2. Forest area has reached 317 615 ha or 41.5% of the area of Kuantan SingingiRegency.District Own Source Revenue  (PAD) is the income was earned from all of sources income in the area and by managed the local government that includes local tax revenues, results of retribution, wealth management outcomes was separated areas and other legitimate local revenues.The purpose of this study was to find of the contribution value forestry sector to District Own Source Revenue  (PAD). The results showed that the contribution of the forestry sectorto district own source revenue(PAD) in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 is under 1% with a distribution in 2008 has the amount  of  0,45% (Rp 115.000.000 from Rp 25.380.245.966), the year 2009 amounted to 0,5% (Rp 115.000.00 from Rp 23.147.073.224), the year 2010 amounted to 0,53% (Rp 115.000.000 from Rp 21.435.798.449), and in 2011 amounted to 0,48% (Rp 115.000.000 from Rp 23.755.740.032), indeed in 2012 the contribution forestry sector is 0% from Rp 30.269.207.812.Keywords:Contribution, District Own SourceRevenue(PAD,)Forestry Sector

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the interaction effect compost fertilizer and multiple doses of NPK fertilizer as well as getting the best treatment between compost fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth of oil palm (Elais guinensis Jacq.) immature phase II. This research has been conducted in experimental gardens Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau Jl. Bina Widya Baru Simpang KM 12.5, Tampan, Pekanbaru. This research was conducted for 4 months starting in mid-Maret 2015 until mid-Juli 2016 , research was conducted with a Randomized complete Block Design (RCBD) factorial consisting of two factors, The first factor is the compost (K), which consists of three composision K0 = compost of 0 g/plant K1= TKKS and restaurant waste compost K2= rice straw compost and market waste second factor is the dose NPK fertilizer which consists of three levels ie M0 = NPK fertilizer dose of 0 g / plant M1 = NPK fertilizer dose of 750 g / plant M2 = fertilizer NPK dose of 1500 g / plant. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and extended with further research into the standard 5% DNMRT. Parameter observation is the increase of plant height (cm), number of leaves (leaf), girth (cm), midrib length (cm) and total frond (leaf). The results showed composting TKKS + garbage restaurants 7000 g / plant and NPK1500 gram / best plants at as height and length midrib while straw + junk market 7000 g / plant and NPK1500 gram / best plants for parameter number of leaves, girth and number of fronds immature oil palm plants. Keywords: Elaeis guineensis Jacq.,  Compost fertilizer, NPK fertilizer.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of cacao rind compost and to obtain the best dose on the growth of seedlings of mini stum rubber plant clones PB 260. This study has been conducted in the experimental garden of Agriculture faculty, University of Riau from May 2016 until August 2016. The research has conducted experimentally by using Completely Randomized Design with single factor which is the giving of rind compost with the dose of A0: 0 g/polybag,      A1: 50 g/polybag, A2; 100 g/polybag, A3: 150 g/polybag, A4: 200 g/polybag. The observation parameters were; the increase of plant height, the increase of leaf number, the increase of stem diameter, the leaf wide. The obtained result were then analyzed using the variance and tested further by using Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level test. The results showed that the compost of cocoa peel on seeds of mini stum rubber plant clone PB 260 were effected to the increase of seedling height, the increase of leaf number, the increase of  stem diameter, and the wide leaf area. The results of this study showed that the composting of cocoa peel on the rubber seedlings stum mini clone PB 260 with dose 200  g/polybag  which gives the best result that can be seen from the increase of seedling height, the increase of leaf number, the stem diameter and the leaf wide.Keyword : cocoa rind compost, seedling  rubber.

Abstract

The aim ofthis research weretreatment withconcentration of citric acid and soaking time on quality dried sweetened pineapple core. A complete random design with two factors and three replications was applied in this research. The first factor wascitric acid concentration 0.1%, 0.15% and 0.2% and second factor is soaking time 36 hours, 45 hours and 54 hours. The design response was usedDuncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) the level 5%. Parameters observed were the evaluation sensory of description and hedonic (colour, flavor, taste, texture and overall assessment). Treatment with concentration of citric acid and soaking time have an effects to evaluation sensory of description and hedonic on colour, flavor, tastebut not have an effect totexture and overall assessment. The best treatment of dried sweetened pineapple core was obtained 0.15% concentration of citric acid and 12 hours soaking time with color is dark yellow (score 2.53) and preferred (score 4.10), flavorful pineapple (score 4.26) and preferred (score 4.21), quite sweet and sour of taste (score 3.53) and preferred (skor 4.21), hard textured (score 2.40) and quite like (score 3.26) and overall assesment is preferred (score 4.32). Keywords:citric acid, soaking time, pineapple core, dried sweetened

Abstract

This research aims is to identify marketing channels of Siam Orange in Limau Manis, to knowing the marketing functions performed by marketing institutions and to determine the margin and marketing efficiency. Location of the research conducted at the Limau Manis in Kampar District Kampar regency. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. To determine the pattern of intermediary marketing channels and marketing agencies at the level of marketing agencies, use descriptive analysis calculates margin while the use of cost analysis tools margins, marketing margins, by calculating the costs, profits and margins. The results of this study indicate the marketing functions tangerine include exchange functions that include purchasing functions and sales functions, physical functions include pegemasan, the transport function, the function of marketing facilities include standardization function, risk reduction function, and the function of market information. The marketing channel of Siam Orange that is the first channel from producers sold directly to consumers. The second channel, from producers to retailers and sold to consumers. The third channel, from producers to traders and then to retailers and directly to consumers. The marketing margin on the channel I is Rp 13,000 / kg , on the marketing channel II is Rp 2,000 / kg and the marketing channels III Rp 4,000 / kg with total marketing advantages in marketing channels I Rp 12.900 / kg , total marketing advantage in marketing channels II Rp 1,750 / kg and marketing advantage to marketing channels III of Rp.3.100 / kg. Abstract

The purpose of this research was obtained the best and ratio of tuber banana flour and tempeh flour in flakes making. These research used to Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications, followed by DNMRT test at 5% level. The treatment for this research were BT1 (tuber banana flour 80 g), BT2 (tuber banana flour 75 g + tempeh flour 5 g), BT3 (tuber banana flour 70 g + tempeh flour 10 g),BT4 (tuber banana flour 65 g + tempeh flour 15 g), BT5 (tuber banana flour 60 g + tempeh flour 20 g). Analysis of flakes light brown in color, texture were  a bit hard without milk adding and soft with the addition of milk, slightly scented tuber banana flour and tempeh flour, and slightly taste tuber banana flour and tempeh flour.  Keywords: Flakes, tuber banana flour, tempeh flour.
