Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the working hours of women entrepreneurs agro industry food household in Sub-District Kuok of  Regency Kampar. The sampling method in this research using census sampling technique by making a sample of the entire population. This research was conducted in District Kuok of Regency Kampar. The results of the analysis show  the total working time productive activities of women entrepreneurs is 3.536,67 hours/month or 79%, total working time on reproductive activities is 854,17 hours/month or 19% and in social activities total working time is 110,00 hours/month or 2%. Based on the standard normal working hours there are 3 (21%) women entrepreneurs who have business hours according to standards, while 11 (79%) women entrepreneurs have standard working hours exceeding normal working hours.   Keywords    : Working hours of women, productive activities, reproductive activities, social activities

Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1) to know the implementation of extension, 2) to know the role extension agent to increase the empowerment ofcoconut self-supporting farmer. This research used survey method. The samples in this research used purposive sampling method with criteria of land area at least 2 hectares, who has joined in farmer group and has over 7 years of farm experience. Data analysis useddescriptive and Scale Likert's Summated Rating (SLSR).The results showed that the implementation of extension in Simpang Tiga Village didn’t go well. The role of extension included in "Less Role" category, that reflected on dissemination indicator with a score of 2,21. Empowerment included in "Less Powerful" category, where low scores on empowerment variable influenced by institutional indicator with a score of 2,15.   Keywords:Extension agent, empowerment and coconut

Abstract

The purpose of this study was 1) to determine the characteristics of employees of oil palm and rubber crops in PT. PTPN V Gardens Sei Kencana; 2) to analysis level of employee satisfaction palm oil and rubber plant in PT. PTPN V Gardens Sei Kencana. The research was conducted from March 2015. The method used is survey method. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with criteria for implementing employee who has a leadership position as the bottom and the bottom of the employees working in the field in rubber and palm oil as well as employees who work in the office PTPN V Gardens Sei Kencana. Research shows that employees who work in PTPN V Gardens Sei Kencana dominant male is 84.38% with an average age of 42 years where the high school level of education of employees is 75.00%, the average length of work employees are encouraged 17 years, and salary   s> 2,000,000 has the largest number that is 64.06%. Analysis of the level of satisfaction of employees working at getting that level of satisfaction with the supervisor has the highest score of 3.41 in the category "satisfied" followed by the level of satisfaction with the job got a score of 3.24 with the category "somewhat satisfied" then the level of satisfaction with co-workers obtained a score 3,17 with the category "somewhat satisfied" while the level of satisfaction with salaries get a score of 2.84 with the category "quite satisfied" and the lowest scores are at a level of satisfaction with the campaign that is 2.59 with the category of "less satisfied". So that the average level of satisfaction of employees working in PTPN V Gardens Sei Kencana is at 3.05 scores in the category "fairly satisfied".     Keywords: PTPN V Gardens Sei Kencana, Factor Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) Know implementation of extension and work motivational factors that influence agricultural extension  on sago commodity in Meranti Islands Regency; (2) Analyze the work motivation level of agricultural extension agents work motivation who looked from internal and external factors and analyze how far the influence of each factors to agricultural extension agents work motivation on sago commodity in Meranti Island Regency. This research was counducted in Meranti Islands Regency. The research method used purposive samling with looked at the extension agents by its region and according to area and sago plantation in Meranti Island Regency. 30 extension agents taken as respondents. The research used validity and reliability analysis. Analysis of data for the first purpose using the Scale Likert summated Rating (SLR), while for the second purpose used multiple regression analysis. Research results showed: (1) The execution of counseling Meranti island Regency is already well underway. (2) extension officers work Motivation on commodity sago Meranti Island Regency are on the category “ Medium” and the factors that affect the motivation of extension officers work on commodity sago Meranti Island Regency personal maturity factor, namely, the desire to work, fatigue and boredom, good supervision, compensation, job satisfaction, and regulations has no effect in real and influential in the real work environment. Abstract

The purposes of this research are to find out women farmer’s profile in Sei Beluru village, to analyze an income women farmer’s household, to analyze a contribution income women farmer’s from farmer’s and non farms to household income. These research used a survey method with purposive sampling as a sampling technique, the characteristic are women who have job as a farmer as their primary job, women who have been a housewife and still have husband then have their own farm. Respondent total of this research are 41 respondent. The result is, from charateristics, the age of women farmer’s are between 36-60 years old, with junior highschool graduate, and most of women farmer’s experience in farmer’s industry are during 7-34 years. Total average of household income’s women farmer’s are Rp.24.239.091/years that came from primary household and part time income’s husband, wife and child. Contribution income’s women farmer’s to family income is 9,94%. Keywords: Woman Role, Farmer, Family’s Income

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the productivity, the revenue, the households income structure, the pattern of households expenditure, and the welfare of households of the smallholder rubber plantation of ex-TCSDP development. Research was done by survey at Pauh Ranap Village. Data were collected from 30 small-holders rubber farmers using purposive sampling. Analysis of the results showed that the productivity of smallholder rubber plantation as 2,92 ton/ha/year, the revenues of smallholder rubber plantation as Rp. 21.892.428/ha/year. The structure of household income derived from agriculture is 35,56 percent and 14,62 percent for non-agricultural income. The pattern of household expenditure shown that the food expenditure as 43,35 percent and non-food expenditures as 56,65 percent. Result also show that the household of the smallholder rubber plantation at Pauh Ranap Village have the total expenditure more than 240 kg of rice equivalent. The household of small-holders rubber plantation have the total expenditure above the poverty line (Rp 369.210 /capita/month). The household welfare using the 14 indicators of relative poverty by Indonesian Statistic show that  83,33 percent household have ability to fullfill the basic need or prosperous, while 16,67 percent is almost prosperous. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the financial feasibility and analyze the level of sensitivity on lempuk durian agro-industry. The case study method was used in the research, object of the research was lempuk durian Elvia agroindustry in Bantan Tengah Village Bantan Sub-district Bengkalis Regency. Investment criteria used in analyzing the financial feasibility were: Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C). The results showed that lempuk durian agroindustry was feasible and developed by the NPV of Rp.82.891.702 (NPV greater than zero), Net B/C of 3,06 (Net B/C is greater than one) and IRR are in DF 56,99% (IRR greater than 12% DF) within a period of production for three months each year in the durian season. The results of the sensitivity analysis showed that if the business runs the risk of the decrease in production of 5.43%, then lempuk durian agroindusrty was not sensitive to the risks incurred and the business is still feasible to run. Risks resulting in this business is not viable, if there is a sensitivity of 61% decline in production.   Keywords: lempuk durian agroindustry, financial feasibility, sensitivity

Abstract

The purposes of this research are: Identify extention media of existing and knowing the level of effectiveness extention media paddy farmer in Tebing Tinggi Village Benai District Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research used a survey method that is directly from the field , by means of face-to-face interviews. The method of respondent taking in this research is sensus. Appropriate purpose of the first research is using descriptive qualitative analysis. The purpose of the second research, the researchers wanted to see the effectiveness  extention media, can be measure by using EPIC model (Empathy, Perception, Impack and Communication) to measure the effectiveness of media extention is using by Likerts Summated Rating Scale ( LSRS ), where each choice answers were scored. Research results obtained extention media of existing in Tebing Tinggi Village. There are three types of media, extention media with a physical object, printed and “Do’a Padang” citizenry extention media. Extention media level of effectiveness by using physical objects are less effective category with an average total score of 3,57. Extention media printed form of sketches and posters are less effective hearts categories with an average total score of 2,51. “Do’a Padang” citizenry extention media  are less quite effective category with an average total score of 3,11.  Keywords: Effectiveness, EPIC Model, Extention Media

Abstract

This study aims at knowing the role of business members before and after receiving credit from KSP Mojopahit Jaya. This study was conducted in Mojopahit Jaya saving and loan cooverative in Sari Galuh village Tapung district Kampar regency. The population in this study was the members who receive credit in the period January to April 2012, using a credit to productive enterprise. The sampling method conducted a census to 18 members.The result showed that business credit proved are able to raise the capital and asset. So that members operating revenues increased after the capital increase of the KSP Mojopahit Jaya,  where the average income of the business members before obtaining credit is Rp. 19.296.861 and after optaining credit increase to Rp. 23.547.349.   Key words : Credit, KSP, Income
