Abstract

Abstract: Education is one way for people to reach a level of progress, as a means to free itself from underdevelopment, and various social shackles that impede the achievement of the common welfare, reciprocation of a nation depends on whether or not the quality of education obtained.Dutch colonial period with regard to education is a dark history. Occupiers make education as a tool to reap profits through cheap labor. Schools were also made at low cost, in order not to burden the government coffers.Educational facilities of high quality is always maintained during the colonial period that keep children Netherlands always get a better education of the children of Indonesia because the Dutch government did not want any indigenous children who will be able to compete with the Dutch Later onset of the notion that profits acquired by the Dutch over the colonies should be paid back. The events that can be viewed as an expression of a new idea that came to be known as the Ethical Policy. Finally built a school for indigenous people, equivalent to the school for the Europeans. Abstract

Abstract: Analyzing the intrinsic elements in the legend can be useful for elementary school children. In the curriculum of primary school students were told to look for elements that build up a work of literature that is character, disposition, setting, theme, viewpoint and mandate. But in primary school are still many students who have not been able to identify the intrinsic elements. This research was done to determine the student's ability to analyze the intrinsic elements of the legend "Si Lancang" Class V Gugus 1 Hang Nadim District of Tampan Pekanbaru conducted in three schools that is SDN 136 Pekanbaru, SDN 37 Pekanbaru, and SD IT Darul Hikmah. This research method is a survey research. The study population numbered 377 students and research samples as many as 77 students using a systematic sampling technique. Researchers get the data using instruments such as the legend "The Lancang" and problems of intrinsic element consisting of five elements, namely characters, characterizations, background, mandate, and themes. To analyze the data used technique scoring / grading is based on the assessment criteria which the maximum score is 4, and each value is grouped by categories of students' abilities. Results of the analysis of this study showed that the students' ability to analyze the intrinsic elements are in either category, that is 13 out of 77 students or 16.9%, both categories gained as many as 33 students or 42.8%, category is quite as many as 22 students or 28.6%. While students at less category as much as 9 students or 11.7%. Out of the five elements are the average student getting good value on the intrinsic elements of character and mandate that is the intrinsic elements of figures are 38 students who obtained the category of very good and 24 students in both categories, while the intrinsic elements of the mandate there are 31 students in the category of very good and 29 students in both categories. On characterizations intrinsic element more and more students are in the category of is quite as many as 26 students from the three schools. On the intrinsic elements of the background and theme of many students who have difficulty in analyzing it, particularly on the intrinsic elements background. It can be seen from the average obtained by the student in the background intrinsic element of 2.52 which is the average of the lowest and the theme of 2.6.Key words: Intrinsic Elements, Ability Students

Abstract

Abstract: Problems in research is whether there are significant differences between the results of student learning that received the application of learning model snowball throwing and students who obtain lessons learned ordinary class 4 SDN 008 Salo. This study aims to to perceive the difference between study results social class students who have the application of learning model Snowball Throwing and students who obtain lessons learned ordinary, in the specific case of material technology development. As for benefits this research, is one effort to increase yields of learning and could become one of the alternative learning. Of research in class IVa and IVb , namely in sdn 008 salo kabupaten kampar. The study is done at may 2015. This research is study experiment in the form of quantitative the data types figures. The sample forty-two students. The result of the research is the average value students got from the student learning control class increased. Than the average pretes 60.92 be 66.69 in the average a score postes. When viewed from n-gain reached 0.14 categorized as low. For the experiment class also has increased from average pretes 65.42 be 79.73 on average postes value. When viewed from n-gain reached 0.32 including medium category. After tested the difference, found that the increase in value average second-class having the difference significant , if seen in control class the enhancement of value average namely 5.77 or ranged 9.47 % and experiment class increase in value averagenamely 14.31 or ranged 21.87 % .Key words : snowball throwing, control class, experiment class, pretest, postest, N-gain

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims at describe the cognitive abilities of physics through the use of learning-based LKS Natural (JAS) in the subject matter and the temperature of the heat in SMA N 2 XIII Koto Kampar and know the difference between the cognitive abilities of students studying physics using worksheets based natural learning (JAS ) with students who learn using conventional LKS. This research was conducted in SMA N 2 XIII Koto Kampar in February to June 2015. The subjects were class X IPA1 and X IPA2 totaling 49 students who have been tested for normality and homogeneity of both classes. The design of this study was pre-experimental design with Intact-Group Comparison. The research instrument used is the achievement test of cognitive ability. Data collection techniques is the provision of learning outcomes of cognitive ability tests consist of 20 multiple choice items. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis of the results obtained by the average absorption using LKS JAS class higher than the class that uses conventional LKS both categories, the effectiveness of otherwise effective learning, mastery learning students in classical declared complete mastery of the subject matter and declared incomplete. Inferential analysis through the calculation of statistical values t test manually and through SPSS 17 obtained tcount = 1.282, while ttable = 2.012. Based on the criteria of hypothesis testing tcount <ttable (1.282 <2.012), so there is no significant difference between Cognitive Ability Physics students learn to use worksheets based natural learning (JAS) with students who learn using conventional LKS.Key Words: Cognitive Ability, Nature-Based Learning (JAS), Temperature and Heat

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve students learning outcomes third grade of SDN 21 Pekanbaru use the Model-Based on Learning Problem. The subject of this study is the third grade students of SDN 21 Pekanbaru the number of students are 38 students, consist of 21 girls and 17 boys. This study was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of two materials and one-time daily tests for each cycle. Instrument collecting data in this study is a teacher and student activity sheets and student learning outcomes. Before action student ability level is categorized to low level that mean is 64.21. While the value of a minimum completeness criteria (KKM) IPA is 70. Among 38 students only 14 students who reach KKM with 36.84% classical completeness. The first Daily test to 68.82 increased to 7.12% points., the second Daily test increased to 69.60 by 8.39% points and the third Daily test increased to 84.44 by 26.83% points increase , The average score of teacher activity was 70% at the first meeting the first cycle increased to 75% in the second meeting. At the first meeting of the second cycle an average was 85% of teacher activity score increased to 90% in the second meeting. While the third cycle an average score was 95% with the teachers activity is very good category. Learning activities of students in learning process has increased at each meeting from an average was 65% in the first meeting of the first cycle increased to 70% in the second meeting. At the first meeting of the second cycle increased to 75% and 85% in the second meeting. While the third cycle an average was 90% increased to 95%. From the explanation above proves that the implementation of Learning Based on Problem Model to improve learning outcomes IPA third grade students of SDN 21 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, IPA Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract : Background of the problem in this study is the low learning outcomes IPS fourth grade of SDN 125 Pekanbaru, the average grade 65,90, while the value KKM IPS is 70, This study aims to improve learning outcomes IPS fourth grade of SDN 125 Pekanbaru fourth grade through inquiry learning model. The research was conducted pn March 19, 2015 to April 16, 2015 that carried as much as 3 cycles. This thesis presents the results obtained from this study before action replay value with an average of 92,72 Teacher activity the first cycle and the first meeting of 56,37% the second meeting increased to 62,50%. The first meeting meeting of the second cycle 75% and the second meeting increased to 84,37%. The third cycle of the first meeting and the second meeting 93,57% increase to 96,87%. Student activity the first cycle the first meeting with an average of 56,25% and second meeting increased to 62,50%. At the first meeting of the second cycle with an average og 75% and at the second meeting increased to 84,37%. At the first meeting of the third cycle with an average of 90,62% and a second meeting increased to 96,87%. From the above results it is known that the application of inquiry learning model to improve learning outcomes is social studies fourth grade students of SDN 125 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Cooperative Learning Model Inqury, Sosial Studies Student’s Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve student achievement on the subject ofhydrocarbons in the first year student of SMAN 5 Pekanbaru by application of a firingsquad formation strategy. Form of research is experimental with pretest-posttest design.The sample consists of two classes, class X.2 as an experimental class and class X.6 asthe control class is determined randomly after normality test and homogeneity test.Experimental class were treated by application of a firing squad formation strategywhile grade control without firing squad formation strategy implementation. Dataanalysis technique used was t-test. Based on the final results of data processing using ttestformula obtainable tarithmetic>ttable is 4,99> 1,67 meaning that the application of afiring squad formation strategies can improve student achievement on the subject ofhydrocarbons in the first year student of SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. The raising studentachievement category in the experimental class including normalized gain a high scoreof 0.82.Keywords: Strategy formation firing squad, learning achievement

Abstract

Abstract: This experimental study aimed to find out the effect of using contexts clues strategy in reading comprehension. This experimental research was used one-group pretest-posttest design. The reason for conducted this research because students tend to used dictionary when they read English text in order to find the meaning of difficult word. However, they may not use dictionary or some stuff that can help them to understand English text in joining examination. This condition makes students difficult to comprehend the English text because they face different context. So, students should know about reading strategy to increase their reading comprehension without using dictionary or another instrument. One of the appropriate reading strategies to increase the students’ reading comprehension ability is context clue. The sample of this research was the first year students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The participants were 33 students as tryout class and 28 students as experiment class. The steps of research procedure are conducting pre-test, treatment, post-test and data analysis. The data analyzed by using t-test formula. The data analysis showed there is significant effect of using context clues strategy on reading comprehension. The finding also proved that in the pre-test students’ average score was only 71.17 and it improved to 84.00 in the post-test. Moreover, for the statistical analysis it was found out the T-observe 7.64 was higher than T-table. Base on this finding, it is suggested that context clues strategy can be used by teacher as an alternative strategy that can help students to increase their reading comprehension.Keywords: Context Clues, Reading Comprehension, Experimental Research, Reading Strategy

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of discipline and commitment to employee performance at PT. Asrindo Citraseni Satria in Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at PT. Asrindo Citraseni Satria in Singapore from May 2015 through October 2015. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. Population of more than 35 employees, including the manager and the sampling technique using saturated sample. Data collection instruments used were a questionnaire with Likert scale for the independent variables: the discipline (X1) and commitment (X2). Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The result showed that the discipline and commitment to simultaneously affect the performance of employees at PT. Asrindo Citraseni Satria in Pekanbaru. This is based on the results of analyzes, calculations show F count> F table (46.941> 3.29). While partially, disciplined significant effect on the performance of employees at PT. Asrindo Citraseni Satria in Pekanbaru and commitments had no significant effect on the performance of employees at PT. Asrindo Citraseni Satria in Pekanbaru. This is evidenced by uni t, discipline variables obtained t 4.401> t table 1.69389 and variables obtained commitments 1,234 t <t table 1.69389. From the calculation of the coefficient of determination of discipline and commitment both have an influence on the performance of employees at PT. Asrindo Citraseni Satria by 74,6% and the remaining 25,4% are influenced by other factors not examined.Keywords: influence, discipline, commitment, employee performance

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the influence of member participation and credit services either simultaneously or partially on the success of the Cooperative Unit Nagari (KUN) Talago II District 50 Payakumbuh. The population in this study were all members of the Cooperative KUN Talago II numbering 1574 members. Random sampling random sampling method amounted to 94 members. Methods of data collection: questionnaire method and documentation. The method of data analysis is descriptive analysis percentage, Classical assumption test and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the participation of members and credit services simultaneously significantly to the success of cooperative efforts. Analysis of the factors examined in the study showed that the variables are the dominant influence on the success of the Cooperative Unit Nagari (KUN) Talago II District 50 Payakumbuh is a variable participation of members.Keywords: participation of members, credit services and business success
