Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this study was to find out (1) the percentage of academic words being used in writing report text by second year students at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru and (2) the level of the academic words being used in writing report text by second year students at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. This study is a descriptive research by using cluster model sampling to choose the sample that was 30 students of eleventh science 5 class. The analysis was based on Academic Word List (AWL) Highlighter classified into 10 levels of frequency, from the highest (level 1) to the lowest (level 10). From the 30 written texts, it was found the most academic words used is in level 7 (22 of 64 words or 34,37%) and the leasts are level 3 and level 6 (3 words of 64 or 4,68%). And based on number of students, there are 4 of 30 (13%) students that do not use any academic words in their writing. Last, based on part of speech, the most part of speech that used is verb part of speech (39 of 64 or 61,29%) and the lowest one is adverb part of speech (1 of 64 or 1,56%). It can be concluded that the students of second year of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru has been used academic words in their writing although in a low level frequency (level 7). Therefore, it is expected for teachers to more remind the students about academic words, even for the highlevel and futur researchers to conduct similar research for improving the ability of using academic words of students.Keywords : Writing, academic words, Report text

Abstract

Abstract: Teenagers is individuals figure that in the process of changing from childhood to adulthood. To many high school teens can’t be controling their emotions, is evident from their behavior at school. Various things that be reflection the emotional instability occurs students at high school. The intend for this survey is 1) To knowing the emotional stability student class X SMAN 1 Benai Academic Year 2015/2016, 2) To analyze the emotional stability by item class X SMAN 1 Benai the Academic Year 2015/2016. The instrument to be using at this survey is emotional stability scale of students, compiled by Marleni, 2013 as 50 items that was been testing on the validity and reliability with results is Valid and Reliable. Subjects in this survey were students of class X 1, X 2, X 3, X 4, SMAN 1 Benai academic year 2015/2016, amounted to 126 people. Sampling undertaken by the author is using the technique of total sampling (full sample) that all population be used as members of the sample. The results showed found as 21 students (16.67%), who have a very high emotional stability, 70 students (55.56%) who have a high emotional stability, 23 students (18.25%) who have a medium emotional stability and 12 students (9.52%) who had low emotional stability.Key Words: Emotional Stability

Abstract

Abstract : The aim of this research is to improve student achievement on the subject of salt hydrolysis in class XI natural sciences (IPA) Senior High School (SMAN) 10 Pekanbaru trough the applying active learning football verbal strategy. This research is experimental study with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted from Maret 2015 - April 2015. The population consisted of five class and the sample consisted of two classes of grade class XI IPA 4 as an class experimental and the class XI IPA 5 as an class control randomly selected after homogeneity test. Class experimental applied active learning Football Verbal strategy while the class control conducted discussions. The analysis technique used t-tes with dk = 35 + 36 = 69 (α = 0,05). Based on end of the data processing obtained trithmetic> ttable (4.3286> 1.994) means the application of active learning football verbal strategy can improve student achievement on the subject of salt hydrolysis in class XI IPA SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract : The problem in this research was learning process in social studies at the classroom of fourth graderes (IVc) SD Negeri 130 Pekanbaru was conventional that’s cause student’s achievement still low with average value 62,07 (with KKM 70). The purpose of this research was to improve the learning process in social studies of fourth graderes (IVc) SD Negeri 130 Pekanbaru with the implementation strategy of Concept Mapping. This research was on classroom action research with two cycles in second semester 2014/2015. After implementation the strategy of Concept Mapping, student’s achievement average on test I was 70,62 that improved 13,77% from pre test. Student achievement average on test II was 75,12 that improved 21,02% from pre test. At first cycle, teacher’s activity with the implementation strategy of Concept Mapping on the first meeting was 80% (good category) and on the second meeting was 87,5 (good category). At second cycle, teacher activity on the first meeting was 90% (verygood category) and got 90% (verygood category) on the second meeting. Student’s activity in first meeting of first cycle was 62,5% (enough category) and got 70% (good category) on the second meeting. At second cycle, student’s activity in first meeting was 77,5% (good category) and got 85% (good category) on the second meeting. So, the implementation strategy of concept mapping can improved the learning process in social studies of fourth graderes (IVc) SD Negeri 130 Pekanbaru.Key Word : Strategy Of Concept Mapping, Social Studies Learning Processy.

Abstract

Abstract : The problem this research is the students writing skills of childrenpoetry third grade students through the learning model SD Negeri 147 PekanbaruContextual Learning Model (CTL). This research subject were students of (III) SD Negeri147 Pekanbaru 2014/2015 school year the were onlyas 35 students. While objects inthis research is to improve the writing skills of children through models poetryContextual Learning Model (CTL). This research was conducted in two cycles, the firstcycle consists of two meetings with one end of a cycle and repeat the second sklus alsoconsists of two cycles consist of two meetings with one cycle replications. The datacollection instruments in this study was the observation sheet teacher and studentobservation sheet and assessment sheet results. The level of students' abilities beforeaction categorized as low to the score with average 62.71. While the value of MasteryMinimum Criteria 70. Among the students who totaled 35 people only 15 people whoreached KKM with the increased about 42.85%. At the first UAS student skill levelsrose by an average increased about 71.02 with both categories. While the skill level ofthe child after the act of writing poetry UAS II with an average increased about 84,30with very good category. The data collection instruments using teacher observationsheets and sheets of observations of students during the learning process were studentsof (III) SD Negeri 147 Pekanbaru, the percentage of teachers in the first cycle ofactivity first meeting of 60.71% with enough categories, at the second meeting of thefirst cycle of 71.42%. Furthermore, the percentage of the second cycle of the firstmeeting of 85.71% with the good category, at the second meeting of the second cycle of92.85%. Furthermore, the activity of the first cycle students first meeting with apercentage of 57,14% sufficiently categories, the second meeting of the first cycle of67.85% with the good category. Furthermore, the second cycle of the first meeting witha good 78.57%, in the second meeting of the second cycle 89.28 with very goodcategory. From the above shows that through Contextual Learning Model Learning (CTL)can increase the skill of writing poetry Indonesian children students of (III) SD Negeri147 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Contextual Learning Model, Students’ Result of writing skills

Abstract

Abstract : background of this study is the lowoutocomes of natural science(IPA) of the fourth grade students of V B SDN 94 Pekanbaru, with the average score ofthe class is 67,60. Based on the standard minimum criteria (KKM) 72 which has beendetermined by the school, there were 17 students are below the standard minimumcriteria or 48,57% from overal number of 35 students. This research is an actionsresearch which aims to enhance learning outocomes natural science (IPA) gradestudents of V B SDN 94 Pekanbaru with the implementation of cooperative leaningmodel Type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Formulation of the problem:does cooperative leaning model Type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) canimprove natural science learning autocome grade students of V B SDN 94 Pekanbaru?.This research was carried out on 17 April 2015 until 8 May 2015 with II cycles. Thesubject of this research is grade students of V B SDN 94 Pekanbaru with total number35 students who were bacame the participants of this research. Data collectioninstruments in this research are teacher and studets activity sheets as well as a writtentest sheet. The result of this research can bee seen from the result of the study before theimplementation of cooperative leaning model Type Student Teams AchievementDivision (STAD) are given which the average score 67,60 after the action is given orafter implementation of cooperative leaning model Type Student Teams AchievementDivision (STAD) are increased in cycle I, with an average score 81,60 which areincreased as much as 20,17% and cycle II the average score 85,37 which are increasedas much as 26,28%. Abstract

ABSTRACT: The study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in learning IPS. The main objective of this study was to determine differences in learning outcomes learning outcomes between classes receive instructional learning model is based on a problem with the class who received conventional learning. The benefits for the students in this study is the application of learning models based issues can help improve student learning outcomes, and can increase the understanding of the material IPS. Experimental research methods were used in this study was a pretest-posttest control Rondomized Group. This research was conducted in the second semester of the school year 2014/2015 elementary school students 005 Guntung Banjar Regency Kuantan Singingi. Subjects of research are two classes of class IVa the number of students 25 students and class IVb with the number of students 25 students. The data collected in this study is the data of student learning outcomes in social studies by way of social studies test results are used in the form of an objective matter totaling 30 items. Based on the analysis of data, obtained by the difference in improving student learning outcomes among students memoeroleh learning based on problems with students who received conventional learning. Can be seen from the increase in the average initial test results of the experimental class 44.44 into 71.48 on the final test with the average index reached 0.42 with a gain medium category, while the average results of the initial test control class 42.84 risen to 65, 08 on the final test with the index reached an average gain of 0.31 including medium category. It can be concluded that an increase in student learning outcomes in social studies teaching fourth grade students of SD Negeri 005 Banjar Guntung. IPS learning outcomes of students who use the learning model based on the problem of having a significant difference compared with students who received conventional learning. This difference detected by the test of the average difference between the index gain experimental class and control class by using the t test and obtained t_hitung 2.2 while t_tabel 2.01.Keywords: Problem Based Learning model, learning outcomes IPS

Abstract

Abstract: This study was motivated by the lack of student motivation toward particular subjects Civic Education in SMPN 1 Lubuk Dalam. Formulation of the problem in this research is: "How does the application of learning media snake ladder on motivation to learn civics class VIII SMPN 1 Lubuk Dalam Siak?". This study aims to determine students' motivation to learn civics class VIII SMPN 1 Lubuk Dalam Siak after learning media snakes. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Dalam Siak in May 2015. This research is descriptive quantitative population in this research is class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Dalam Siak. Sampling was done by the technique of "purposive sampling". Where classes are taken into the sample is class VIII B (experimental class) is treated by using instructional media snake ladder and VIII D (control group) were treated with lecture, then the data analysis using the homogeneity test, test "t" and Test influence. Based on the results of the study showed that there is influence students' motivation to use snake ladder and lecturing in SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Dalam Siak (t = 10.15> table = 2.00 with 62% coefficient of influence). Where there is an average increase motivation to learn civics class control of 19.28, become 19,90 in first time, 20,87 second time, into 21.59 in last time and an average increase motivation to learn civics class experiment of 19.93, become 24,75 in first time, 26,09 in second time, into 26.97 in last time. Means the hypothesis which says the use of instructional media snake ladder effect Motivation Learning Civic Education class VIII student at SMPN 1 Lubuk Dalam Siak accepted.Keywords: Media Education Snakes and Ladders, Motivation.

Abstract

Abstract : background of this study is the low outocomes of natural science (IPA) of the fourth grade students of IV SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pekanbaru, with the average score of the class is 58,54. Based on the standard minimum criteria (KKM) 70 which has been determined by the school, there were 20 stedents are below the standard minimum criteria or 60,61% and 13 students are above the minimum standard criteria or 39,39% from overal number of 33 students. This research is an actions research which aims to enhance learning outocomes natural science (IPA) grade students of IV SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pekanbaru with the implementation of model inkuiry. Formulation of the problem: does model inkuiry can increase natural science (IPA) autocomes of students at class IV SD Mmuhammadiyah 4 Pekanbaru?. This research was carried out on 30 April 2015 until 21 May 2015 with II cycles. The subject of this research is students at class IV SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pekanbaru with total number 33 stedents who were bacame the participants of this research. Data collection instruments in this research are teacher and studets activity sheets as well as a written test sheet. The result of this research can bee seen from the result of the study before the implementation of inkuiry model are given which the average score 58,54 after the action is given or after implementation of inkuiry model are increased in cycle I, with an average score 71,03 which are increased as much as 21,33% and cycle II the average score 82,06 which are increased as much as 40,17%. It can be concluded that the inkuiry model can increase natural science (IPA) autocomes of students at class IV SD Mmuhammadiyah 4 Pekanbaru .Keywords : Inkuiry model, IPA Study Results.

Abstract

Abstract:The problems in this research is the low learning outcomes IPS Elementary School fourth grade students 125 Pekanbaru, the average grade of 60, 40 with the KKM IPS was 70. This research aims to improve learning outcomes IPS Elementary School fourth grade students 125 Pekanbaru implement cooperative learning model Make a Match. The research was conducted on 10 March 2015 to 28 March 2015 were carried out by 3 cycles. This thesis presents the results obtained from the study before action replay value with an average of 60, 40, rose in the first cycle with an average of 67.2. In the second cycle increased by an average of 75.6 and the third cycle increased by an average of 80.8. Aktiviats teacher in the learning process the first cycle of the first meeting and the second meeting of the 54.2% increase to 62.5%.Second cycle of the first meeting and the second meeting of the 75% increase to 83.33%.Cycle III first meeting and the second meeting of the 87.5% increase to 95.82%.Aktiviats students the first cycle of the first meeting with the average of 54.2% and the second meeting increased to 58.33%. The first meeting of the second cycle with an average of 66.67% and the second meeting increased to 75%. The first meeting of the third cycle with an average of 83.33% and the second meeting increased to 95.82%.From the research results in the fourth grade Pekanbaru 125 countries prove that the implementation of cooperative learning model Make a Match can improve learning outcomes IPS Elementary School fourth grade students 125 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Cooperative Make A Match students,learning outcomes.
