Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to develop a guided inquiry-based practicum guidebook for teachers in teaching biology in the class XI of senior high school students. It was conducted in September 2018 to January 2019. The model used in this research is a ADDIE model. Model consists of 5 (five) stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. This research was carried out until stage 3 (three), namely the development stage. The stage of analyze, design, development, internal validation and limited trial phase I was carried out in the Biology Education Laboratory FKIP University of Riau. External validation was carried out in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru and SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The limited trial phase II was carried out in SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The book is validated based on four indicators, namely: book format and graphics, illustrations and pictures, language, and content eligibility. The overall results of the validation obtained an average of 3,47 with very valid categories. The results of the limited trial phase I have an average of 3,59 with very good categories and the results of the limited trial phase II have an average of 3,59 with very good categories. The book produced in this study has a very valid and very good categories so that the practicum guidebook is broad to hold the teacher’s grip in proper and can be implementation of practical activities.Key Words: Practicum guidebook, Quided inquiry, Biology learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the influence of learning environment and variety of teaching teachers against interest studied economics students in SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib. The population in this research is the whole grade XI IPS in SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib as many as 57 students and on research using a sample census technique where all the population be used as samples. Data were collected using a questionnaire about the learning environment, the teacher and the teaching variations of interest study distributed to respondents. Data on analisisis using multiple linear regression test. In descriptive, at umunya students have a learning environment on the category either (75.4%), teachers teach variations on categories varies (71.9%), and interest in learning on the category are (77.2%). Through multiple linear regression shows analisisis learning environment and variety of teaching teachers has a positive influence and interest significantly to student learning with a donation of 14.6% and the regression equation Y = 32,146 + 0, 204X1 + 219X2. Based on the results of the research, then the author will provide suggestions that are expected to benefit, that is, parents can help provide and create a conducive learning environment for his son to learn well, the teacher should carry out varied learning in order to enhance students ' interest in learning, students to continue to improve the learning interest and make use of existing learning environments at home and focus on learning in schools, and for the researchers next study is expected to be a reference and develop research by adding variable other than the learning environment and variety of teaching teachers as social economic status of parents, the results of the study, and other variables affect learning interest of students.Key Words: Learning environment, variations of teacher teaching, learning interest.

Abstract

Abstrack: This research aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by ludo game on learning achievement. This research was implemented at SMK Muhammadiyah 2th Pekanbaru. This study is Pre-Experimental Design by using One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population is all of students of 11th grade AK 1 withtotal number of students are 32, all taken as sample. Then the data was analyzed used N-G and paired t Test. The average of N-Gain achievement are known to be in the "Medium" category and there are only 12 students who still get the "Low". While for the achievement of the paired t-test (group statistics) the pretest average was 76.19 with the standard deviation of 9.297 and the posttest of 88.44 with the standard deviation of 8.370. The correlation value between the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by ludo game on learning achievement that was a weak correlation and sig. 0,829. with a significant 0,005. Then the paired t test(Paired Samples Test) known sig. (2-tailed), obtained paired t test value of 0,000. It means that there were differences in learning achievement between pretest ang posttest. Because 0,000 < 0,05 (95% trusted). The average difference at pretest and posttest was 12,250. T is the value of t count, which was equal to 5.439, compared with t table in DF 30, it means the hypothesis was accepted and there were differences in learning achievement of pretest and posttest. Therefor it can be concluded that the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by the ludo game effect on learning achievement. Thus, the TGT Cooperative learning modelassisted by ludo game can be used as a learning model to be able to increase student learning achievement.Key Words: Teams Games Tournament Model, Learning Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the researcher’s observation at KB Al Husnayaini, Tampan Sub-district, Pekanbaru City. The observation proved that the speaking ability of protégé still did not develop optimally. Hence, Dixi game was needed to increase protégé’s speaking ability. This research aimed to review the effect of Dixi game towards speaking ability of 5-6 years old children. This research was conducted at KB Al Husnayaini, Tampan Sub-district, Pekanbaru City, from July until April 2019. This research used experiment method with one group pre-test post-test design with 16 number of sample. This research used observation sheet to collect the data. The data analysis technique used t-test by using I.BM SPSS Statistics Program version 20. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the effect of self management techniques to reduce off-task behavior of students of Pekanbaru Muhammadiyah 2 Vocational School. This type of research is a quantitative study with an experimental method using the research design One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The measuring instrument used in this study is the off task behavior measurement scale consisting of 50 items before the validity, and after the validity is obtained valid items number 31 items with validity of 0,505 and reliability of 0,901. The subjects of this study were 7 students from SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru who were identified as having high levels of off task behavior. The data analysis technique used is non-parametric statistical techniques using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study proved that the research hypothesis was accepted. For this reason, it can be concluded that there are differences in behavior scores off task before and after being given treatment in the form of self management techniques. From the results of the spearmen rank test it was obtained 0.775 while the correlation coefficient of r2 was 0,600, thus there was an effect of 60% self mangemant technique at Muhammadiyah 2 Vocational School Pekanbaru.Key Words: Self management, off task behavior of students

Abstract

Abstract: Based on observations, researchers in the field observing both the training session and the competition in the athletes' Step Harimau martial arts are still lacking. One of them is like a leg muscle when kicking. So that when the kick is not optimal. This thing is not done well can be ignored by opponents. Based on the above problems, to increase the explosive power of the leg muscles, intensive and programmed training needs to be held. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of double leg speed hop training on leg muscle explosive power in the Step Hari Pencak Silat athlete. The population in this study was the Putra Langkah Harimau pencak silat team who participated in the active training in the pencak silat branch, consisting of 10 sons. this study the sampling technique was carried out by means of total sampling, where the sample was a male team of 10 people sampled. The instrument in this research is vertical jump. Each group was taken from two measurements, namely in the pre-test before treatment and post-test after treatment was given. This aims to obtain research data that will be processed to test the hypothesis. Based on the data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the practice of Double leg speed hop on leg muscle explosive power. The Step Tiger pencak silat athlete is proven by the results of tcount 3.177> t table 1.833 at α = 0.05. This proves that by doing the Double leg speed hop exercise, the explosive power of the leg muscles can produce better results.Key Words; Double Leg Speed Hop, Leg Muscle Explosive Power

Abstract

Abstract: This research to improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical understanding skill by implementation Discovery Learning (DL) model. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects of this research were students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru. This study was conducted in the even semester of academic year 2018/2019. The research instruments used are learning material (Syllabus, Lesson Plan, and Student Worksheet) and instrument for collecting data (Observation Sheets and Mathematical Understanding Tests). The observation sheets were used to find out the data of students and teacher activity during learning process which would analyzed qualitatively, and mathematical understanding test were used to collect the student’s mathematical understanding skill outcomes which would analyzed quantitatively. Base on the analysis of the observation sheets showed that implementation of learning process in 2nd cycle was improved when compared to 1st cycle. Result of the test indicates that the student’s learning achievement for the first is 52,08 improved in 1st cycle to 68,75 and improved to 84,26 in 2nd cycle. The improvement of student’s learning achivement founded for each indicator of mahematical understanding skill: (1) redefine the concept; (2) provide examples and not examples the concept; (3)use, utilize, choose certain procedures or operations; and (4) apply problem solving algorithms or algorithms. Based on the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of Discovery Learning model approach can improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical understanding skill outcomes at class XI MIA 1 SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru.Key Words: Mathematical Understanding Skill, Discovery Learning Model, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This main objective of study is to find out if there is a significant correlation between students’ motivation and their reading comprehension ability. The population of the study is 268 students of the second year students, while the sample is 35 students are by using the cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected through 25 questions reading comprehension ability test and 30 statements (questionnaires) about reading motivation. The result of the test was analysed by using Pearson Product Moment though SPSS version 23.0. From the analysis, it was found that the second year students’ of SMAN 1 Keritang were in the medium level in their reading motivation, meanwhile the students’ reading comprehension score was in the mediocre level. The correlation between both variables was in high correlation level which the coefficient of the correlation was 0.704. However, building motivation and mind-set about having a good reading motivation is essential to be recommended because it is very useful to develop students’ English skill and help them to face some tests which correlate with students’ reading comprehension ability.Key Words: Correlation, Reading Motivation, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of motivation, family environment and school environment on learning interest in accounting computer subjects in class X of Muhammadiyah 1 Vocational School Pekanbaru. The total population in this study was 65 students from 2 classes X accounting. The sample in this study was taken as much as the population so that this study is a population research. The type of data used in this study is primary data. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed that students' motivation was still in the low category, the family environment was still in the low category, the school environment was in the low or less optimal category, and the interest in learning was still in the low category. Motivation, family environment and school environment have a significant effect on interest in learning with the regression equation Y = 0.205a + 0,214X1 + 0,221X2 + 0,149X3 and contribute to students' learning interest of 38,8%.Key Words: Motivation, Family Environment, School Environment and Learning Interest

Abstract

Abstract: This study is entitled " The perception of Riau University students on the role of pemuda pancasila community organizations in pekanbaru city." The formulation of the problem in this study is how the University of Riau students perceive the Role of Pancasila Youth Community organizations in Pekanbaru City. The Role of Pancasila youth organizations in the city of Pekanbaru. The population of this study is all undergraduate students (S1) at the University of Riau. While the sample of this study was 150 respondents. Data collection techniques were interviews, questionnaires, library studies. Data analysis techniques using Quantitative Descriptive methods. The conclusion of this study is the percentage of excellent answers (SB) of 15.84% plus good answers (B) of 50.31% so that the results of 66.15% in the "Good" range, so that University of Riau Student Perceptions of the Role of Organizations The Pemuda Pancasila Community in Pekanbaru City is "Good".Key Words: Student Perceptions, Role, Organizations, Pemuda Pancasila
