Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to determine the relationship of litter thickness with earthworm density in the arboretum area university of riau. The research conducted on November 2018 until January 2019 with a survey method. The determining sampling area based on environmental topography, purposive random sampling with six stations where each station consisted of a 10x10 m plot with a 25x 25 cm plot sampling. Sampel is done by hand sortir method. Measured parametersinclude composition of thetype of earthworm, thickness of litter, density of earthworms, and the relationship of thickness of litter with density of earthworms. The research results found four types of species the highest Pheretima posthuma, Lumbricus rubellus, Pontoscolex corethrurus, and Periyonix excavatus. Density of earthworms was obtained at station VI of 50.6 ind /m2 with thickness of 6.3 cm litter and the lowest density obtained at station I of 16.6 ind / m2. There is a strong relationship with the value of the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.86 and value (R2) = 0.746. The results of the study can be used to design the Biology Learning module for senior high school concept ecosystem.Key Words: Composition of Earthworms, Thickness of Litter, Densitiy of earthworms, Arboretum University of Riau.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the perception of usual leaders. Implementation of the tradition of death ceremonies consisting of 3 levels of usual death of batak, namely matua sari, saur matua and mauli bulung, whether it remains good or there A shift has occurred in traditional ceremonies. Namely the role of Dalihan Natolu in the implementation of adat, the use of meat from slaughtered / farmed animals, used ulos, the fees used in large numbers in traditional ceremonies are reasonable or not. Regarding the research population, 34 figures and those who are aware of adat. by using qualitative approach techniques, (Sugiyono, 2015). Sugiyono, (2015) said that "said this qualitative study is a study that results in the form of written and oral words from the observed people". This technique for collecting data sets used is observation, questionnaires and interviews. When analyzing the data using qualitative descriptive data from Sugiyono (2015), namely the formula P = F / N X 100%. The results of this study indicate that the perception of students of Riau University about the functions of political parties in Indonesia is seen from the percentage of 90 respondents who are 3.27% for the bad category, 34.69% for the bad category , 52.72% for the good category and 9.32% for the excellent category. The results of testing hypotheses can then be accepted.Key Words : Comparative, Social Care

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes by applying cooperative learning models talking chips type on the subject of Reaction Rate in class XI MIPA SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The form of this study uses the Pretest-Postest Design Randomized Control Group. The sample consisted of class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 2 as the control class which was randomly selected after the normality test and homogeneity test. The experimental class is a class that applies the cooperative learning model of talking chips. The data analysis technique uses test techniques. Testing the hypothesis using the T test with a = 0.05 obtained by Tcount > Ttable (1.89 >1.66). Based on hypothesis testing it was concluded that the application of cooperative learning models talking chips type can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of reaction rate in class XI MIPA SMAN 4 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Cooperatve Learning Models Type Talking Chips, Learning Outcomes, Reaction Rate

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of research is to improve learning process and to increase student mathematics achievement with applying the learning model of Problem Based Learning. This research is classroom action research. The subject of this research is student of class VIIJ SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu in academic years 2018/2019. Subject which amounted to 32 students, consist of 16 boys and 16 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle have four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instrument consists of learning materials and instruments for collecting data. Learning materials used in this research are the syllabus, Lesson Plan and Activity Sheets. The instruments of data collection and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets is analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students mathematic tests is analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive show an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students are very confidence and active in learning process, such as while they are finishing mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria of knowledge increase from basic score to first test and second test. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (28,13%) to the first test (59,37%) to the second test (71,89%). For the skills of the first test (65,62%) to the second test (87,50%). From these data it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning can increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VIIJ SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject Aritmatika Soaial.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning,Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to know the effect of teacher,s civics role in building responsibility character to students result in study civics in SMP Negeri 3 Rokan IV Koto. The populations and the simples of this research were 79 studens. This research used sampling jenuh teachique. The techniques of collecting the data used in this research were observation, share the questionnaire, inerview adn document. Here ,the researcher uses Regression Linier analysis as the data analysis technique. The result of this research showed that there is no effect of teachers civics role in building character to students result in study civics in SMP Negeri 3 Rokan IV Koto. Meanwhile, it showed by the experiment of Regression Linier beween Variable X and Variable Y, the result Of Fhitung was 2,482 and the value of F tabel was, 3,97 that from the distribution teble of Fhitung and N= 79, with significant level 5% thus, Fhitung ˂ F tabel or 2,482 ˂ 3,97 it means that HO diterima and HA ditolak, in additional there is no effect between teachers role in building responsibility character to students result in study civics in SMP Negeri 3 Rokan IV Koto. In this case, it is better for techer to improve their role, especially as mediator, facilitator and the students should force themselves to improve their comprehension.Key Words : teachers role, responsibility character, studen result

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce mathematic learning device in the form of syllabus, lesson plan, and student worksheet using the guided inquiry learning model on the subject of tangent between two circle for VIII grade students. The study model used is 4-D that consist of define, design, develop, and desseminate. The research instrument used is validity device and practicality device. The validity device is a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet. The practicality device is in the form of observation sheet of learning process implementation and questionnaire of student response. Learning device developed are validated by five validators. The research trials were conducted in SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru which is tested in a small group and large group. Small group trial aims to assess the practicability based on student response questionnaire, while the large group to assess the practicability based on the observation sheet of learning process implementation and student response questionnaire. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that the average value for syllabus is 3.5 in very valid category which means that syllabus is feasible to be used; as well as the average value for lesson plan and student worksheet are 3.58 and 3.49. That are in very valid category which means that lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to be tested. The student worksheet valued as very practical with mean score for small group and large group testing are 3.49 and 3.37. The lesson plan also valued as very practical with mean is 3.64. These categories mean that the lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to used in school.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Device, Guided Inqury, Development Research, 4-D Model

Abstract

Abstract: The Panai Sultanate is a Malay-style kingdom located on the coast of East Sumatra. The Panai Sultanate was one of the Resident Areas of East Sumatra after the Dutch took control of the Siak Sultanate. The rapid economic development during the reign of Sultan Gegar Alam Tengku Kelana Putra ruled Panai Sultanate in 1907-1936. The purpose of this study was (1) to know the history of the establishment of the Panai Sultanate (2) to know the Sultanate of Panai at the time of Sultan Gegar Alam Tengku Kelana Putera (3) to know the collapse of the Panai Sultanate. This research uses historical methods. The results of this study are the Panai Sultanate which is located in the Sultanate of East Sumatra in the current Labuhanbilik Village. The Panai Sultanate has a blood relationship from the Sultanate of Pinang, namely Batara Sinomba from Pagaruyung. In the time of Sultan Gegar Alam Tengku Kelana Putera there was a shift from a variety of musty covering economic, government and social. The period of setbacks or the collapse of the Panai Sultanate was around 1946 during the Sultan of Tengku Hamlet. The main factor that caused the collapse of the Panai Sultanate was the result of the Social Revolution in the East Sumatra region.Key Words: History, Sultanate Panai

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to know influence of fermentation time pineapple skin waste (Ananas comosus L. Merr) againts bioethanol level and produce a design biology learning module at senior high school biotechnology material. Therefore a survey has been conducted in Kualu Nenas village of Kampar district Riau province to obtain the information as a raw for research and instruments for designing learning module. Experimental research by conducted a long fermentation experiment for 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 96 hours and 120 hours of pineapple skin waste with 5 treatments 3 replicates whewe the substrate was hudrolyzed first with 5% sulfuric acid and continued with the developments of learning module from experimental research (only analyze and design stages). The research data were analized using variances analysis techniques and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) of the 5% level. The results of the study indicate that fermentation time affects the bioethanol level and decreases the pH value, but does not affect temperature changes. The highest average bioethanol content was found at 96 hours (4 days) of fermentation which was 9.90%. All research data can be used to design senior high school biology learning module in conventional biotechnology material class XII with project based learning models. However, before the module design is used on a wider scale it is recomended that a feasibility test and effectiveness be carried out on a limited scale.Key Words: Fermentation, Pineapple Skin Waste, Bioethanol, Biology Learning Module

Abstract

Abstract: Based on observations and observations in the field of sepaktakraw team at SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya, there are several problems found in these observations, among them the authors observed that the players did not perform football silently during the cradle, received sharp service, fed the ball to the smasher, this was caused by a lack of balance, eye and foot coordination in performing football in the sepaktakraw game. While the training that has been given by the trainer is maximized. This research was conducted at the SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya School Field. Research included in the type of correlational research (Correlation Research) with the total population of the study amounted to 9 people SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya athletes. The data in this study are data on Balance Tests, Eye and Foot Coordination Tests and Sila Soccer Tests to see the correlation of these variables. Based on the results of research and data processing using statistical research procedures, it was concluded that for the relationship of X1 variables with Y variables obtained r_count = 0.9790> rtabel = 0.666, the relationship of variable X2 with Y variables obtained r_count = 0.9750> r_tabel = 0.666, relationship Y variable X1 and X2 obtained by r_count = 0.9837> r_tabel = 0.666 then there is a relationship between variables X1 and X2 with variable Y. Thus Ha can be said to be accepted. The conclusion of the hypothesis was accepted at a significant level of α = 0.05 in other words there was a significant relationship between balance, eye and foot coordination with soccer skills in the sepaktakraw team of SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya.Key Words: Balance, Coordination, Sepak Sila

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research was aimed to find out whether or not there was a significant effect of using Jigsaw Strategy on the ability of the first year students of SMPN 1 Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts. The research design was pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample was VII HN chosen by using cluster sampling technique. The data were calculated by using Microsoft Excel 2010 and analyzed by using SPSS. The result of the data analysis showed that mean scores of the pre-test was 70.27 and the mean score of the post-test was 85.29. In other words, the mean scores of the post-test was higher than the pre-test. The result also showed that the value of t-test was higher than t-table (13.880 > 2.034) at significance level of 5%. It can be concluded that Hypothesis was accepted. Thus, there was a significant effect of using Jigsaw Strategy on the ability of the first year students of SMPN 1 Pekanbaru in comprehending Descriptive Texts. Several recommendations were given for students such as study in group like Jigsaw and be more focus to increase their vocabulary. In line with it, the teachers need to gave more attention on how to improve students’ comprehension when implementing Jigsaw Strategy in the class.Key Words: Effect, Jigsaw, Strategy, Descriptive Texts.
