Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the percentage of students who reached the KKM was 31%, namely 9 people out of 29 students, it was seen that 69% of students in Class VIIF of SMP 10 Tapung were under the KKM. The KKM set by the school for comparison material is 70. Based on these data, it can be said that the learning outcomes of Class VIIF students in Tapung 10 Middle School on the comparison material are still low. This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VIIF students of 10 Tapung Junior High School in school year 2018/2019 through the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model. The research subjects were VIIF students of 10 Tapung Junior High School in the 2018/2019 academic year totaling 21 people. Data collection instruments in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and teacher and student activity observation sheets, as well as daily test questions. The results of this study indicate that the average student learning outcomes increased from the basic score of 41.8 to the first cycle to 70.1 with an increase in percentage of 20.85%, then at the base level 41.8 to the second cycle 83.00 with an increase of 29.35%. While the average activity of teachers in the first cycle was 77.78 (moderate) and increased in the second cycle to 96.97 (Very Good) or increased by 37.5. Besides the activity of students with an average in the first cycle is 71.8 (Moderate) and increases in the second cycle to 97.4 (Very Good) or an increase of 35.42. Based on these results it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students have increased. Teacher activities and student activities at each meeting also increased. This proves that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes in class VIIF of Tapung 10 Junior High School.Key Words: Students Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model Type STAD

Abstract

Abstract: Megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan District Simanindo Samosir Regency is one of the historical attractions that has its own uniqueness. The megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan is a cultural heritage of Batak people regarding community activities in the past. This is evidence of the historical legacy of the culture of the Batak people in the form of the megalithic tradition. The purpose of this study is 1) to know the function of megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan in the past, 2) the use of megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan in the present, 3) the role of the government in maintaining megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan, 4) tourist perceptions of megalithic culture at Huta Siallagan. The method used is a combination method, which is a research method that combines or combines quantitative methods with qualitative methods, and data collection techniques in the form of interviews, literature, observation, documentation. The result of this study are that the megalithic culture in th Huta Siallagan are stone chair and table which functions as a meeting place or decides everything, whether on social matters, customary law, or to decide criminal cases. Megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan in the present has now been used as one of the tourist attractions on Samosir Island which is visited by many tourists. To maintain and develop this tourism, yhe government carries out several policies, namely by channeling sufficient accessibility, and the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure.Key Words: Culture, Megalithic, Huta Siallagan, Samosir.

Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research are to find empirical evidence of grammatical errors made by the second year students of English Study Program of Universitas Riau in writing descriptive essay and to find the sources that caused the errors. This is quantitative research with descriptive approach. Using cluster sampling, 25 students of class B were taken as the sample of this research. The data were collected throug writing test. The students were given blank papers contained a direction to write a descriptive essay with the topic “Describing Idol”. In analizing the data, several terminologies which deal with Error Analysis Technique were adopted such as identification, description, explanation, and evaluation of errors. Based on the process of identification and description, it was found that the students committed 498 errors that classified into four types of error which belong to Surface Strategy Taxonomy, they are: omission (25%), addition (22%), misformation (48%), and misordering (5%). Not only types of error to identify, this research also tried to explain the sources that caused the errors, which are: interlingual transfer (58%), intralingual transfer (33%), communication strategy (7%), and context of learning (2%). In addition, the errors made by the students were reconstructed into the correct form as the evaluation. Furthermore, in order to be good in using grammar in writing, several recommendations were given to the students such as doing more writing excercises and extensive reading, due to a complex productive skill which need more practice and more time to produce a good writing. In line with it, teachers need to provide interesting techniques with clearer explanation both in writing and grammar subjects and to follow up their writing to prevent the errors occur in the future.Key Words: Grammar, Error, Error Analysis, Writing, Descriptive Essay

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between information technology and communication with creativity teaching early childood education in Tapung Hilir Sub-District, Kampar Regency. This research is a correlation study consisting of independent variables (x), namely information and communication technology and the dependent variable (y), namely teaching creativity of educators. The population and samples in this study were 83 early childood education in Tapung Hilir District, Kampar Regency. The instrument for collecting data on the relationship of information technology and communication with teaching creativity of educators uses questionnaires (questionnaires). The data collection technique in this study was using a scale. All statements are anchored or the questionnaire is presented in a Likert scale consisting of five answer choices namely: always (SL), often (SR), sometimes (KD), rarely (JR), never (TP). As the item selection criteria based on item correlation, the total Likert scale is most often used, the limit of the rxy value is 0.649. From the calculation it is known that r count> r table, for the significance level of 5% = 0.649> 0.254, while at the significance level 1% = 0.649> 0.330. This means that Ha can be accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that the correlation between variable X (utilization of Information and Communication Technology) and variable Y (creativity in teaching PAUD educators) there is a positive relationship between the two variables. In other words if the score X increases, the Y score also increases.Key Words: Information and Communication Technology, Teaching Creativity

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to find out how the performance of members of Pekanbaru High School Biology MGMP in professional development was conducted from January 2019 to April 2019. This research was a descriptive study and used a survey research design with a cross-sectional type design, ie data collection was done once at a time . Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by distributing questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation. At the time of distribution of the questionnaire there were two stages, in the first stage the questionnaire was distributed to members of the Pekanbaru City Biology MGMP for the purposes of questionnaire validation and reliability tests to 10 validators who were members of the Pekanbaru City Biology MGMP. At the stage of validation and reliability testing there are several items that are invalid so that revisions are made to items that are invalid. Furthermore, in the second stage, the revised questionnaire was distributed to 30 respondents who were members of the Pekanbaru City Biology MGMP which were used as research data to be analyzed and interpreted. The overall results of the analysis of the performance of Pekanbaru High School Biology MGMP members in professional development obtained a mean score of 3.44 and were in good criteria, with the results obtained as follows: motivation, creativity, selft efficacy, attitude showed very good criteria. Self development shows good criteria. Scientific publications show sufficient criteria, and for innovative works show good criteria. Thus it is known that members of Pekanbaru City High School Biology MGMP have a good performance in professional development.Key Words: Teacher Professional Development, Motivation, Creativity, Selft Efficacy, Attitude, Self Development, Scientific Publication, Innovative Work

Abstract

Abstract: From the observations it was found that the lack of knowledge and so on that the researchers saw did not interfere with the level of physical fitness they possessed and this clearly revealed the function of the heart, lungs, blood circulation or their physical fitness was very good, and this became one of the problems background of this research because according to healthy researchers not only formed from clean words but how supporting factors are able to maintain and give a big influence on the physical fitness of people or students who are in it. The purpose of this study that is very much wanted to be achieved is to find out how the differences in the physical fitness level of male students of class VII of Teluk 6 Middle School with male students of class VII of Kuala Kampar State Middle School 1. As for the population in this study as many as 63 people and used Random Sampling to determine the sample as many as 26 people. The instrument used in this study was the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test for adolescents aged 13-15 years. Based on the data from the physical fitness test results of class VII male students of Teluk 6 Middle School 6 there were no excellent scores or above 22 of the respondents namely 0%, well classified 18-21 there were 6 respondents namely 46.15% of the respondents classified while 14-27 there are 7 respondents, namely 53.84% while the classification is lacking and there are very few respondents or 0%. Meanwhile for the data on the classification results of the physical fitness test for male students at SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Kampar Subdistrict, there was no value at all or above 22 from respondents, namely 0%, on good calcifications 18-21 from respondents 0%, then medium calcifications 14-17 there were 12 respondent or 93.30% while the classification is less there is 1 respondent or 7.69% while the classification is less or 0%. From the above explanation can also be drawn the final conclusion "That the level of physical fitness of male students of Class VII SMP Negeri 6 Desa Teluk is better, than students of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Kampar District".Key Words: Application, Level of Physical Freshness

Abstract

Abstrack: The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the analysis of entrepreneurial skills training programs on skin beauty training in the Learning Learning Studio (SKB) of Pekanbaru City, which covers the objectives of the program, students, educators, curriculum, facilities for learning and evaluation. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach aimed at knowing the analysis of educational training programs for entrepreneurial skills on skin training. This study consisted of one variable, namely the educational skills education program with 6 indicators, 18 sub-indicators. The subjects of this study were 7 people consisting of 2 key informants, 4 control persons and 1 observer-informant. Techniques used for data collection were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, display data and data verification. The results of this study indicate that the entrepreneurship skills training program organized by the Pekanbaru City Learning Activity Center (SKB) with 6 indicators and 18 sub-indicators there are 3 sub-indicators that are not in compliance with the technical guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely 1) sub-indicator time mentor indicators, 3) sub-indicators practice room. In the sub-indicator of the implementation of theoretical and practical training, only 80 hours of lessons can be taken from 150 hours. In the mentoring sub-indicator, only one month is performed from the three-month period. While in the exercise room sub-indicator, the available space does not match the size of the number of students participating in the training, so that learning is not satisfactory. To overcome this incompatibility, managers and members of entrepreneurial skills training programs are expected to have a sense of responsibility in the performance of their duties, so that the program organized by the Pekanbaru City Learning Center for Students (SKB) is implemented and results in accordance with the technical guidelines for educational programs for entrepreneurial skills. The head of the Pekanbaru City Learning Activity Center (SKB) is then hoped that the learning facilities will be equipped to create favorable and comfortable learning conditions.Key Words: Analysis, Program Entrepreneurial Skills Education, Training in Skin Beauty

Abstract

Abstract: Timor Leste is a new country in the world and is a former province in Indonesia. In 1997 held a referendum and succeeded in becoming an independent country in 2002. Various types of conflicts occurred before and after East Timor broke away from Indonesia. As a new country, the development of Timor Leste needs to be observed both in terms of its social, economic and political conditions, as well as cooperation carried out with other countries, especially Indonesia as the closest neighboring country to support the continued establishment of Timor Leste. By conducting research using the literature study method, this study discovers what developments have occurred in Timor Leste after the referendum.Key Words: Development, Timor Leste, Referendum.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the accuracy of the selection of teacher teaching methods and learning motivation of class XI IIS students of SMAN 2 Siak Hulu, and find out how much influence the selection of teacher teaching methods and learning motivation has on the learning outcomes of XI IIS students at SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. The research was conducted in November 2018. The population in this study were students of class XI IIS of SMAN 2 Saik Hulu which amounted to 189 students using the Proportional Random Sampling technique which took subjects from each strata or each region. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The research method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. This method is done by processing the results data presented through the calculation of the percentage of the questionnaire.Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, the multiple linear regression equation is obtained Y = 53,758 + 0,205 (X1) + 0,274 (X2). Based on the test of the coefficient of determination (R2) the percentage of contributions contributed to the variable accuracy of the selection of teacher teaching methods and learning motivation towards the economic learning outcomes of class XI students of SMAN 2 Siak Hulu at 18.2%. It can be concluded that the accuracy of teacher teaching methods and learning motivation has a significant effect on the economic learning outcomes of class XI students of SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. Key Words: Learning Outcomes, Accuracy of Teaching Method Selection, Learning Motivation
