Abstract

Abstract: Kanji is an originally letter from China and spread to Japan. One of kanji element is Bushu. This research is about elaboration meaning of kanji that has character月 (tsuki, nikuzuki, and funazuki).  The purpose of this research is to easier the classification of kanji that has character月 (tsuki) which mean ‘moon’, 月 (nikuzuki) which mean ‘flesh’ and月 (funazuki) which mean ‘boat’ by describe the original kanji itself.This research uses descriptive method to describe the origin of starch and elaboration meaning of kanjithat has character月 (tsuki, nikuzuki, andfunazuki). In this research used rikusho theory for determining the origin of each kanji, then was determined form the elaboration that occurs in each kanji.Based on the rikusho theory and determination elaboration of meaning, the writer conclude that the character月 (tsuki, nikuzuki,and funazuki) despite having the same shape, but have different origins. This causes the kanji that have character月 (tsuki, nikuzuki, funazuki) also has differents meaning.kanji that has character月 (tsuki) which mean ‘moon’ has elaborated to ‘condition’. At the kanji that has character月 (nikuzuki) which mean ‘flesh’ has elaborated to ‘part of body’. And at the kanji has character月 (funazuki) which mean ‘boat’ has elaborated to ‘glory’. Abstract

Abstract: the purpose of this research was to find out whether the use of card sort active learning strategy can improve students’ comprehension in josuushi at grate XI SMA Taruna Pekanbaru. This research was experimental research which used pretest posttest. Obyects of this research consisted of 20 science and 20 social students’ at grade XI SMA Taruna Pekanbaru.Data collection technigue used in this research was test. The researcher gave pretest and posttest to find out students’ comprehension in josuushi before and after card sort strategy was applied in teaching and learning process. The result of pretest and posttest were statistically analyted using t formula manually to know the improvement of students’ comprehension. Based on statistically analyzing data using t formula it was found that thitung 6,66 > ttabel 1,68 it means that there was asifnificant difference between students’ who taught by card sort active learning strategy and students’ who taight by conventional strategy during teaching and learning process. Abstract

Abstract : In Japanese language, there is word called onomatopoiea or artificial sounds made of an object or living things sounds deprived of the vocabularies which are frequently used either in daily conversations or various media. The example of the artificial sounds of non-living things are jabujabu (artificial sounds and action of splashing water) and barabara (artificial sounds of the hailstone or acorns falling to the ground); and the example of artificial sounds of the living things are: nikoniko (artificial sounds of someone smiling happily), and dokidoki (artificial of pounding heart ) etc. The feeling artificial sounds are usually called gijougo. This research aims to describe the variation of using gijougo to in daily life. This research uses Japanese onomatopoeia which describe feeling (gijougo) as background study and emotion sign; and descriptive as the resesarch method. The data is collected  through comprehensive reading of Doraemon volume 1-45 and classified based on http://nihonjiten.com/nihongo/giongo/. Data is analyzed by comprehending the story context of Doraemon 1-45 to find out the cognitive meaning. From the research, the use, the form, and the meaning of gijougo can be determined. Abstract

Abstract: Communication happens if only all participants understand and obey the cooperative principle in conversation. In facts, these principles are flouted for certain reason. The cooperative principle is consist of four maxims, those are quantity maxim, quality maxim, relevance maxim, and manner maxim. This research aims at finding out the type of flouting of quantity maxim in Detective Conan comic which volume  from 65 to 67 by Aoyama Gosho. Furthermore, this research tries to find the influence of flouting for success communication. The theory used in this study is the cooperative principle that introduced by Grice (1975). The research design applied in this study is a desrciptive qualitative research method  since the data are words and utterances instead. The data are 8 conversational fragments in Detetective Conan comic which flouting of quantity maxim. Based on Grice theory and also understanding on Leech’s explains about the flouting of maxim (1983), and finding the results are as follow: (1) has found 3 datas of flouting which strong-weak proposition, 2 datas which contain yes-no questions, 1 data which retisence, and 2 datas that utterances are more informative than is required (2) the flouting influence is not always cause the communication breakdown. In other words, in some cases, the  communication purpose become achievement even though maxims are flouted. Key Words: the flouting of quantity maxim, cooperative principle

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the analysis of the Japanese proverb meaning that use fish element. Fish itself are not only used as a food ingredient in Japan, but there are also values its philosophy. The purpose of this study was to find out what the Japanese proverb meaning that using fish elements and knowing how Japanese people view against the fish in terms of the Great Chain Metaphor Theory.This study used qualitative descriptive method.It finds that the use of fish element such as Seabreams, koi, eel, and mackerel in Japanese proverb and explain the things that led to the use of fish elements. In addition, it also to find out the function of proverb that use of fish elements.Data obtained from books, dictionaries, journals, theses related to these proverbs and uses semantic cognitive theory and the theory named with The Great Chain Metaphor Theory. Results from this study indicate that the fish is not only have meaning as carriers of luck, but there are also a variety of cultures, and the myth that contained in it. Abstract

Abstract:This study is an analytical study of the auxiliary verb usage errors ~ tai and ~ tagaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage error rate auxiliary verb usage ~tai and ~tagaru undertaken by third grade students Japanese Language Study Program Riau University academic year 2013/2014. Stages of the study include collecting process, identify, classify, explain, predict, and correct the mistakes the use of auxiliary verbs ~tai and ~tagaru in Japanese sentence.This research is quantitative descriptive method. This research was conducted in Japanese Language Study Program Teacher Training and Education Faculty of the University of Riau. Data in the form of a questionnaire consisting of 40 questions about being tested on 27 students. The total number of answers to 40 questions is 1080 answers. 40 questions are divided into 5 types of matter.The results showed that the percentage of errors made by third grade students Japanese Language Study Program University of Riau in answering the questionnaire items was 36.29%. The yield on each question is the type of question I amounted to 5.6%, type II amounted to 7.03%, type III amounted to 7.3%, about the type of IV amounted to 3.61%, and the type of matter V amounted to 12, 8%. Abstract

Abstract: The research describes about the function and meaning of the forms~ていくand ~てくる. The purpose of this research is to help students and other learners to understand the function and meaning of the forms ~ていくand ~てくるand they can use this forms in the correct situation.In Japanese grammatical[1]the form of ~teiku ( ~ていく) and~te kuru (~てくる)refers to connection between speaker potition on time or movement of the action.The form~teiku ( ~ていく) and~te kuru (~てくる)have a diffirent function,the form~teiku ( ~ていく) has several uses related to movement of the action of the place or time away from the speaker, and the form~te kuru (~てくる)which indicates movement in place or time towards the speaker.Tomomatsu said the function of the ~teiku ( ~ていく) and~te kuru (~てくる) there are eight function in different situation.Theory in this research is the function of the form~teiku ( ~ていく) and~te kuru (~てくる)theory by Tomomatsu. Descriptive method is the method that applied in this research. The writer used the data from Japanese anime with title Sket Dance.The result of this research is the function of the forms ~ていくand ~てくる in anime Sket Dance are function for explain the continuous situations, to explain that doing activity when go, movement activity, go and come back to the first place, movement draw to the speaker, to explain make the scene, and to explain the change of situation. There are ten function in different situation, and the situation can influence the function of the forms ~ていくand ~てくる. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to find out if the community language learning method could improve students’ speaking ability of the second year students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru.The participants were 30 students. The data was collected by using observation sheets, speaking tests, and field notes. The test was used to collect the quantitative data and the observation sheets were used to collect the qualitative data. After accomplishing this research, the writer concludes that the use of CLL method in speaking recount text can improve the students’ speaking ability. The result of pre-test shows the average score of students speaking ability was 45.5. It improved to 67,7 on the post-test 1 and 76,7 on the post-test 2. It was also proved that that the use Community Language Learning could improve the students’ behavior in learning especially in speaking ability. They are more active and have a great motivation during the process of teaching and learning since they are free to explore their idea and share to their friends. In addition, applying story telling technique could also improve students’ ability to speak English in terms of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency, and comprehension.
